Update: we experienced the best customer service last night and faith in the store has been restored! We had just been to Modbury and were told the item was only available at Gepps Cross (after waiting a very long time). When we arrived, we managed to get help pretty quickly. The employee informed us that the last item was on hold. They kept apologising to us and said Modbury should have called in advance to check (we were thinking this). He ended up doing us a really good deal for all the hassle and genuinely apologised again and again, even though it was the other store that was in the wrong! When waiting for the employee to check the stock, we'd also had a very friendly encounter with another employee. We left the store feeling a lot better after having had a bad experience at Modbury. Previous experiences: Friendly and helpful staff. However, many times I've come here and you may be waiting a very long time to get served if you want to get help or buy a product. They definitely need more staff on at peak times. Last time I went I waited 40 minutes and no one was able to help me get an item I wanted to buy (I just needed someone to get it, that's all!). We had asked an employee who was stocking CD's 15 mins into waiting if he could help us but he said he couldn't. We ended up walking out and going to Modbury!

After walking around aimlessly in a competitor's store without being approached for 20 minutes, I did myself a favour and walked down the road to JB. - Approached within a couple of minutes once I had my bearings ✔️ - Brilliant, knowledgeable and enthusiastic service from the two people who served me ✔️ - Had issues with the first washing machine I chose due to it not fitting in my European laundry (as the manufacturer's website doesn't account for the door in depth), so the delivery guys took back the appliance. Returned to the store that afternoon and found a suitable replacement that was delivered the next day without a fuss. During this hiccup, at no stage was I was I made to feel like it was an inconvenience even though the store was extremely busy on a Saturday ✔️ - Received a follow-up call the following day making sure that everything went okay ✔️ Brilliant service all-round, from floor staff to management. Thanks for your assistance guys, you've earned my loyalty!

Store has made a new ‘policy’ by limiting max gift card purchase of $200. There’s no clarity whether the limit is per transaction, per day,……per life? I understand the intention behind this is positive but why make rules that will negatively impact other customers? $200 isn’t going to get anything from Apple Store, so you’ll have to make multiple trips to the store to get enough gift cards to get enough funds for a birthday present. Not a very well thought out action by JB Hi-Fi against scammers. If you’re going to make a policy, perhaps make it less vague and limiting and a bit more professional. Better way to fight scams would be by educating your customers and not by placing limits on everyone. I hope this ‘policy’ is replaced by something that will actually prevent scams and not impact regular customers.

Worst customer experience ever. Specially the people in the cashier. After waiting in the queue for long to pay for the product, they said they need to send someone to get the product. They are serving other customers while no one has been allocated to get my product. They cashier tried to allocate someone but no one wants to get the product just because the product is worth only few hundred $ and they don’t make enough commission out of it. You will get treated according to how much the product worth and how much money they get as commissions. Its sad to see that they made a simple electronic product buy that long and difficult just so that they can make more money from other customers.

With this place, it is always hit and miss. When you go in, you will have almost every staff check in on you and there are days where you don't. The place always seems to be overcrowded as they are jamming so much product into a small space. The staff seem to know their product, but for me, when I was in there today I was ignored. I tried to get to see someone was advised not long. Then see them talking to another two people who came in after me. 20 minutes later I just left. Disappointing as I really like shopping here. May come back and try again hopping it's a once off

Still as convenient as before. They're still enforcing a capacity cap on the branch (currently 80, which means there's probably never a long line outside of people wanting to come in) and the social distancing conditions are still in place inside. That as said, the staff were as responsive as before. The items I needed were on stock and ready to peruse. I was able to make W decision on my purchase right away (though I've researched ahead of time), and I was able to check out my purchase quickly. There was no line. Enjoyed my quick stay as always

Always a great experience at JB! Clearly the staff like their jobs - I'll be back. Went into Gepps Cross store 26.8.2022 to buy my husband a present. Not busy, but phone section guy was on the phone helping a customer. Then Harry popped out of nowhere eager to assist. The phone I wanted they didn't have in store, which I knew from checking online. Harry made the whole process so easy(even for a non-savvy techie), saved me some money(which I couldn't do online) and I get my delivery by 30.8.2022. How good is that! Thanks Harry

To be fair, when we were looking for a sound bar, we were entertained by a very nice gentleman, to whom we bought the sound bar from. I feel bad I don’t remember his name. However, when we came looking for a tv, no one was available to entertain our questions and one salesman just brushed pass us and said “sorry, I don’t do this (tv)”. It also took forever for someone to assist us so we went elsewhere to make our purchase. So, I guess sometimes you get lucky with the good customer service here, sometimes you don’t.

My disappointment in this location is from a single visit and interaction. I came looking for a new modem/router thinking the larger location would hold a larger range of stock. The associate told me they don't really stock modem/routers any more because of the NBN, the reason given either comes from ignorance or bad policy as FTTN can't be run from a router-only device, and ISP's made this very clear during the connection process. The Good Guys in the same complex were much more helpful.

The computer did not discount correctly at the register, the operator couldn't reverse the sale due to me purchasing a gift card, manager had to be called over so the payment process ended up taking way longer than it should have. The checkout operator was very apologetic and it wasn't her fault but disappointing that their system didn't work properly and while this was going on I got to see other customers who had various other issues. This store really needs ro get their act together.

Made many purchases here, staff are helpful and friendly. Willing to give you extensive details about any special deals and offers you may have seen online. I purchased a S9+ pretty close to it's release date, the deal was I had to change telco but would receive 500$ discount. Staff streamlined the entire process with discounts on the protective casing I am still using today. This purchase was on my birthday and they even wished me "Happy Birthday!" A++

Pre ordered something for the 10/11. It is now the 15/11 and they "have no idea when they're coming in" Don't put release dates on things if you can't keep to it. I might not get my items before my wife's birthday. Would have been great if I was warned about a delay before I paid for it. Staff are nice and really good, but they need communication from suppliers etc, so that customers aren't left in the dark. Will still shop here, but I'm disappointed.

All of our purchases were done with a satisfaction. Staff are so good here that we were able to consult and compare what we need against their excellent line up of products. Some of their competitors staff in the same venue are so judgemental you just walk out feeling like you're from the stone age, but hi five to JB hi Fi staff our dollars are spent happily, All I need to say is what I need and they are happy to help me spend...

Had really bad experience with the team. The response from the checkout was very rude and other team members are just trying to escape from helping customers rather than assist the waiting ones. I had to wait 30min and no-one responds even after several requests to different team members. Went to Good-guys which is next to JBHIFI and the treatment was just opposite with staff helping the customers and quickly sorting the things.

I understand that they are mostly busy but they need to have more staff members and train them properly. It’s always hard to find someone to assist and answer your queries. Standing there and waiting for someone to look at you so that you can request for help is just a norm. Staff is not courteous and lacks empathy. I have seen them hanging up phones again and again while it’s ringing. They need to hire and train right people.

I recently came into the Gepps Cross store to pick up a phone order for a friend , I had two enquiries myself and a young lady by the name of Zareena was polite & so very friendly and gave me 5 star service that is so very , very rare these days , im 67 and a lot of places treat the elderly with contempt , I will definitely praise Zareena and the Gepps Cross store to family and friends . Staff member was not remotely interested in assisting me....and so i couldnt find what i wanted....(a party box speaker).I went to the Good Guys and got a helpful staff member and exactly what I was looking for.....JBL Partybox speaker....sucked in JBL HiFi. ...just cos I'm older doesn't mean I don't rock out....you missed out on a good sale because you were too cool to serve me properly.....shame job

My wife, a friend and I went to the Gepps Cross store to inquire about a dash cam. We were quickly attended to by a tall salesman named Jack. Not sure of his surname but he is from Surrey Downs. We ended up buying a dash cam primarily because of him. He could not have been more positive, attentive and helpful. Thank you. We'll be back and we'll ask for him when we do. Highly recommend this store.

I was lead straight to the product I researched online, then left to make a choice. At the counter I asked for their best price & was kindly given a small discount!!! I will always go to that store for my electronics etc cos there's always staff available for my queries, they know the stock whereabouts & will consider a small price reduction, so it's no suprise JB HiFi is many others 1st choice

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that I travelled over half an hour to JB-HI-FI Gepps Cross only be told by security we weren’t allowed in as they were closed, even though their website specifically states they close at 6:00pm and we arrived at 5:30pm. Also, there were other customers inside still being served. Very UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESSES, WILL NEVER RETURN!! What a waste of time and petrol.

Bought home security cameras from Gepps Cross today.. we were taken care of by the Manager who was most helpful and knowledgeable and did us a great deal, my son bought the same system at the same time...West Lakes store is closer to home, but the service/advice wasn't great... will definitely drive that bit further to Gepps Cross in future... definitely 10/10

This store has got good collection but the customer service was not that great. We needed to wait for a very long time to get help from any of the executives and at the end we were supposed to leave the store because of irritation, then someone jumped in and asked if we need any support. Overall, collection is really good and have good prices as well.

Bonus points to the friendly staffer who checked out lighting options for me then made recommendations for another store nearby that might better help me. Customer Service 101. Great service! The product I wanted was on display but no stock was available statewide. The staff bent over backwards to help me out by providing an sms link for online purchase and discounted the product by the amount of the delivery charge as a matter of course. The link was easy to use and the product was on the move the next day.

Good customer service. I came into the store late on a Friday as I was working, got in there half hour before close and the manager helped with my washing machine purchase and loaded it up just before closing time. Would shop here again for this simple fact the customer service was good. Kudos to that manager.

Bought ourselves an Anker Power station to help with our crafting lighting and to deal with the somewhat regular power outages. JB had it for $1099.00 great power supply station. So pleased that they had this power station. Click and collect easy as pie. In and out in under 15 minutes. Thanks JB.

Been to this place several times. If you're not sure about which item to select be prepared for a very long wait. It's very hard to get service which I would put down to understaffing. Prices are the same as Harvey Norman and good guys but the discounts are not as good as their competition.

Went in the buy a Garmin watch. The young lad was amazing. In and out. He went over and above to look for the watch. Was happy to have the item in stock, as usually it's a hit n miss situation with jbhifi. With stock and customer service but this time was a pleasant experience

Service very friendly. Placed a click and collect order, which was processed promptly. Clear directions on where to pick up. Had to wait about 5 minutes to get the order, but had a few people check what I was waiting for and I always new what was happening. Overall very good.

It's ok. This store is difficult to navigate, the aisles are narrow and almost create a claustrophobic atmosphere as it's just aisle upon aisle. I would recommend staying away from this location for any physically disabled persons. Other than that it's a typical JB.

I only buy cds and dvds and this was the 1st time in years that I've come here, but I was glad I did. Staff was extremely helpful and the stock was better than the Elizabeth store. Just wish they would go back to stocking the groups you don't get to see normally.

I went in to buy a laptop. It was the cheapest around. It wasn't overcrowded or busy. The staff were friendly. It's positioned well at Gepps Cross home-maker centre, so can easily spend hours there. I truly recommend going there.
