Our household woke up to a power surge at 3 am during a cold spell. The surge burned out nearly every light bulb in the house as well as two appliances. I called JJ electric at 7 am, and Jay arrived at 8 am. He restored power to the house, used diagnostic tools, and explained the electricity status of both the townhome and the complex it is in. We have original wiring from the 1960s, and it isn't exactly stable. One household member relies on 24/7 oxygen, so having power issues is more threatening to us than most households. Jay was attentive to the oxygen issue and Covid precautions were taken. Jay advised us on ideal appliance location, so as not to overload the circuits. He installed another breaker on the indoor fuse panel, and now our power is more stable. He was also able to repair an outlet that had been broken for over 10 years, a service that was not part of our original call. All the services were performed very quickly, on an "emergency" basis, and now our electricity is more stable than it has ever been, which reduces our fire risk. The cost for all of this was more than reasonable. We are very happy with JJ Electric; our service call could not have gone better.

Jay is an outstanding electrician and a very considerate and caring individual. He came out to our house for an emergency situation a couple years ago when half our electricity went out and discovered that the main fuse in the outside service panel had failed. Even though Jay was extremely busy that weekend, he fit us in and provided excellent service just in time to host 35 relatives that Easter. This evening, Jay kindly took time out of his busy schedule and came to the rescue again on another emergency. Our heater and both bathroom lights stopped working in our condo rental. Jay discovered and resolved the problem just in time for our tenants to move in tomorrow. Jay is the most knowledgeable, reliable and kindest electrician around. Finally an electrician that is professional, on time and caring! Few nights ago at 11pm we overworked our outlet causing it to burn...Not sure if it might be smoldering or not I called Jay that late in the evening and before I knew it he was knocking on our door... Jay took care of our situation and cared enough to check throughout the house before leaving making sure we’re at ease nothing could be smoldering! I was sooooo impressed with his professionalism and work, if I could add stars I would! Truly recommend Jay for any electrical problem you may have!!!

What a great experience! Jay answered the phone and came by to look at the job (adding a power outlet behind a television on a wall, so the tv cords won't be visible). Jay came up with a way to do it with no wall patch-up work needed, quoted it and got back to me within an hour. He was just finishing another job and fit me in same day! He came when expected, did the job with his partner, cleaned up and moved furniture back. He was very nice and professional and had good ideas about a future project. Thank you, again, Jay! Martha

Jay is an awesome guy to work with, scheduling was done pretty easily without any hassle. He was very knowledgable and helped me retrofit my entire place with Lutron Caseta's smart switches (by the way this is not an easy task as I have went through several electricians) . Not only do I have these smart dimmers everywhere but he also helped me install all of my light fixtures and sconces. Without a doubt, Jay is the best and gets things done in the most efficient and friendly manner.

I can only speak for the communication and not service. I cannot claim they are bad electricians, but the communication is terrible. When you fill out a request online they say they will get back to you in 24 hours. 48 hours later I make another attempt and finally they call. They are very short of words and give me a date to come by and tell me to text them my information. I text it to them and they never show up when they said they would.

I was very impressed with Jay's professionalism and knowledge. He responded to my urgent issue on the same day and after explaining the situation, took care of the problem within 30 minutes for a reasonable price. He's also very informative and provides options for any future work that needs to be done as well as any safety precautions we should adhere to. I will definitely call on him again!
