I hired a jucy crib for approximately 4 weeks with my partner. The two best things I can say about jucy is that their in person staff are wonderful, and the vans are cheap (for a reason) which is the only reason I've given this review 2 stars instead of one. I have to say, if you're any taller than 5'10 you will have a very hard time sleeping in one of their Tarago/Estima models. Unfortunately, the vehicle that we hired was not up to a standard that I would have deemed acceptable. I have listed the main issues we had with the van below. 1. Faulty (and not Australian standards approved gas stove) that detonated when we tried to light it. The gas bottle and stove provided by jucy then caught alight, causing light burns not entirely dissimilar to extreme sunburns and for the hair on my arm to be singed off entirely. When i attempted to put said fire out, the jucy supplied fire extinguisher had no pressure, meaning i had no way to put the fire out. Fortunately a camper nearby was able to save the vehicle. If not for the quick actions for the people nearby the van would absolutely have burnt down, with all of our possessions inside. Furthermore I am confident that jucy would have blamed us for losing the van and I would have had no proof of the non-certified stove being the cause of the issue. Fortunately I had brought my own stove so we didnt have to rely on what jucy provided, and i do give them credit that they did refund me for the replacement fire extinguisher I purchased 2. Telephone wait times. After calling the emergency line to report the issue above, i was less than pleased to realise that the call centre had awful wait times. Even when calling the line for the fastest response, the phone call still took 1hour and 4 minutes to complete, with the significant majority of that call being on hold. 3. Condition of the vehicle. The van we hired had extremely warped brake rotors, which made any form of braking very exciting. A fridge that kept going warm and spoiling all our food, even when we had been driving the entire day to charge the battery. Sliding Doors that often wouldn't open (or close, causing us to have to call RAA and spend even more time on the phone with Jucy) Curtains that wouldn't clip in properly. The folding mechanism of the bed failed with clear repairs have previously being done to one half of the mechanism, while the other side wasn't even connected. No cap on the windshield washer fluid (this is a small point, admittedly) Finally I was charged incorrectly. l was charged $116 more than what my online order states. Be **very** careful and read what the eftpos machine states before paying. I have been contacted by jucy and provided a refund for the days that these issues affected us. Jucy has taken full responsibility for all the issues we experienced and I appreciate them doing so.

I must express my utter disappointment and frustration with the abysmal experience I recently had with Juicy Car Rentals. I had booked a car two months in advance, looking forward to a smooth and enjoyable trip, only to be met with a nightmarish ordeal. Upon arrival, we were handed a car with rust covering the bonnet, seats stained, and a cigarette hole defacing the upholstery. It was nothing short of embarrassing. The state of the vehicle was utterly unacceptable and a far cry from what any customer should have to endure. In a desperate attempt to salvage our vacation, we reluctantly agreed to swap this eyesore for another car, but the only available option was significantly smaller. Despite the absence of rust, it wasn't a fitting replacement for the initially promised vehicle. As if this wasn't enough, the second car proved equally problematic as it couldn't charge our phones, a basic necessity for travelers. When I raised this issue, the response was nothing short of indifferent, with the solution being a suggestion that I should drive back to swap it. This level of inconvenience is indefensible. Juicy Car Rentals touts itself as providing "business cars" in their fleet, but this assertion is nothing but a cruel joke. It's clear that their standards have plummeted, and their target market should indeed remain confined to backpackers who might overlook such inadequacies. I was left feeling cheated, embarrassed, and deeply inconvenienced. The car I received was a far cry from the vehicle I had meticulously chosen and expected. I have reviewed the guidelines on the ACCC website, and it is evident that I am entitled to a full refund for the deplorable service I endured. I implore Juicy Car Rentals to reevaluate their practices, invest in better-maintained vehicles, and provide a level of service that aligns with the expectations of their customers. The experience I endured should serve as a stern warning to anyone considering their services. Adam

Rented a condo and served by ALEX who is an ABSOLUTE GEM. Gave lots of good practical tips, took the initiative to grab me the phone holder/ charger etc; fixed up a few kinks which makes my trip that much more seamless. He also did a fantastic job giving the most comprehensive intro to the camper which was super helpful. There were many moments during my trip that I think back “thank god Alex told me about this” and that saved me a lot of hassle. Camper-wise, the van is old and has clocked many miles but everything about it is well designed, very functional space. The comfortable speed to go at is 90-100km/h before things starts rattling and drive starts getting unstable - good to buffer more time when planning the drive itinerary. Lucky to have gotten the white camper! It just looks that much nicer and garners less attention which you don’t desire with a hire van. Afterhour dropoff was also super easy. Overall 10/10 experience with Jucy - and big thanks to Alex!

The handover of our previously booked Jucy initially went smoothly and without complications. When we checked the car with the appropriate form, as planned, we discovered a few minor defects, including a problem with the central locking system. The staff were very helpful and solution-orientated. The faulty locking system could not be rectified but we were given advice on how to deal with it. However, it was impossible to control the door locking system in such a way that all doors could be locked from the inside or opened from the outside without any problems. After consultation, we were able to exchange the car the next day without any problems, and the staff at the Adelaide location were very friendly and apologised to us.

I must express my utter disappointment and frustration with the abysmal experience I recently had with Juicy Car Rentals. I had booked a car two months in advance, looking forward to a smooth and enjoyable trip, only to be met with a nightmarish ordeal. Waiting at a red post box for 1 hour 3 phone calls being told different stories by the staff who did not know company processes it was truly an absolute nightmare

Staff bent over backwards to accommodate a late pickup which was lovely. But they left the ladder out of our camper van with a rooftop tent - making out weekend very uncomfortable! Vehicle is also well past its prime and missing essential equipment like a dustpan and brush. How am I supposed to return it clean without this?

Great service here. We dropped our motorhome off and we’re immediately offered a free lift to the airport. When I returned home I realised I was missing a pair of quite expensive EarPods. They found them in the motorhome and posted them back to me. Very grateful client!

It has been great actually better than I expected since this is my first time with this sort of camper. Some minor up keeping things could be better but other than that it has everything it needs to be a good camper. I would definitely use this experience again

We hired a Jucy van in October last year and drove to Darwin and back. Justin and Alex were both super friendly. As we got to the hot parts of the Northern Territory it was unbearable trying to sleep in the van as we couldn’t keep doors or

Dropped off a camper van and picked up an 8 seater earlier today. Had a great experience with old mate Alex! Extremely helpful and friendly. When we got into the 8 seater we saw that the stereo and car charger weren’t working, so Alex came

An excellent choice for car rentals in Adelaide. Even though they weren't located at the terminal they arrange both a pickup and drop-off for me. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and made sure that I was provided with any

Hired their El Cheapo which was a 2012 Corolla with ripped seats. Fortunately was offered a free upgrade to a 2016 Hyundai Hatch. Had no problems with it and it was very economical. The drop off in Melbourne was quick and easy.

  • Tamas Lorincz

It’s always quick and painless to check in. No surprises. Patient, calm and friendly staff and the vehicle has always been ready and in the promised condition. I’ve never had an unpleasant experience with Jucy. Thank you.

Edit: I did contact the company privately to discuss this prior to posting and received a "don't care" response. I love when companies comment publicly but have no idea of their backend ops.

Prepare a converter for 3.55mm AUX to iPhone/phone if you want to play music in the van.(no Bluetooth/USB) Storage space is limited. Big bags are easier to fit in than suitcases if >=3 ppl.

Located near the airport. Fastest car service i've ever had the pleasure of using. Really friendly customer service (thanks James and Justin!), with lots of great trip recommendations.

  • Russ Turner

As I had to urgently travel, the next day, I Booked a car on line via a third party to pick up at Adelaide airport.

  • Michele

Thanks Justine, you are a legend and we are repeated customers and we will be back again. Perfect customer service
