We visited James Jewellery twice in the last 6 months, once with my husband as we were looking for a new set of wedding bands and the second time on my own as I wanted to get my engagement ring resized. We received excellent service on both occasions. We were looking for a set of bands for a few weeks but couldn't find anything we liked. The lady who served us was excellent. She put us at ease straight away and took time to help us make a decision on what we want. We were not rushed or pressured into anything and was given advice at appropriate times. We ended up buying our replacement rings from them. I was so pleased with the service, I went back on my own about 6 months later to get my engagement ring resized and cleaned. Again the service was professional courteous quick and pleasant. I would highly recommend James Jewellery.

I have bought a few gold chains, some pendants, earring studs and also a few gold rings. This family firm know their stuff and have such a great variety. They have so much good quality items you tend to wish you had infinity money to buy almost all their stuff. If you get stuck (which I often do) they are very patient and good at helping match up items and also willing to negotiate on price if they see you are a genuine customer. Also once a stone fell out of a ring which they replaced and also apologised for it happening. They are very passionate about making you happy and feel good which I respect and appreciate which therefore as a small business owner/gas engineer myself, I fully understand the necessity for good customer service.

What a great Jewellers for once a jewellers with wheelchair access no ramps or nasty bumps just drove in with my electric wheelchair and so much room you could have six wheelchairs going arround , everything is at the perfect height for wheelchair users and the staff are very helpfull and friendly , i felt very safe and secure as they have a security gauard in the shop , i found a lovely solud gold neck chain for myself it was marked up at £950 pounds the owner gave me a massive disscount and i got my chain for an unbeliveble £750 pounds , im so pleased what a great shopping experience I recomend to all disabled people and wheelchair users its a hassle free zone well done guys and girls . I would give half a star if I could, the lady was welcoming, but I felt that I was profiled in a bad way. The owner was very dismissive, made limited communication with myself. I wanted a pricing for some jewellery and I was polite throughout, it was not even busy at the time I entered the shop. The worst customer service I have experienced anywhere!!! (2019 service) Why would you have a sign outside your shop saying 'We buy & Sell' if you do not take the time to give valuations?. I would take any intentional business somewhere else..Its a sham of a shop. The presentation and lack of communication speaks for itself. They need to fix their overall approach to new and old customers if they are to stay in business.

The items are very good but poor customer service. I requested a few links taken out of a ankle bracelet that I was gifted from the shop. I thought this was a simple process as staff measured me up and knew roughly how I’d like it to sit. They told me to collect on Monday, when I arrived bank holiday Monday they were closed. I then returned Friday and only one link was removed and it was still very big, staff then accused me of not communicating properly what I wanted before agreeing to take out more links. I returned on the following Monday as advised to find no additional links were removed. In future I’ll be mindful about what I purchase as they do not seem to provide a honest, customer friendly service.

I found James Jewellery about 20 years ago and haven't looked back! I do not go anywhere else and encourage friends and family to shop here too. The staff here are courteous, professional, if you are unsure of what you want, they will spend time helping you to reach your decision. Service is always professional and the jewellery is on point! I'm only sad that I haven't won the lottery in order to shop here more often!!! There are some absolutely stunning pieces, hand crafted - none of your sugar and spit jewellery that seems to have flooded the market of late. They offer great value for your money, selling beautiful heirlooms of the future. If you don't already shop here - believe me, you are missing out!

I have purchased several semi-precious stones, silver & gold jewelry and a 1 ounce bar of silver (investment-grade bar), most of their items seem very over-priced, the 1 ounce bar had a market value of £8, yet was sold to me for £45 ... I am not sure about the profit margins on some of these other items, but I would advise either buyer beware or find somewhere more reputable and trustworthy. They were very friendly at first though, the customer service was generally reasonable, and they did offer discounts when I bought enough at a single time. It seems their customer service drops off when you start asking too many questions rather than blindly purchasing their products.

Had a ring custom made, but after 3 months, the white gold colour changed. Went back to ask for the ring to be re-plated, which was not a problem except James wanted to charge me. Thought a white gold ring would last longer and James would rectify the problem. Quite sad, my family and I have been customers for 30+ years, and I have had the ring inspected and told it should have kept the colour and not due to "wear". Not happy and very sad that I have to go elsewhere to rectify the problem.

Today my girlfriend went in there to get a quote on a watch and my grandfather sovereign. Just wanted a rough valuation. Wasnt going to sell but the fella in there was incredibly rude and ignorant to my girlfriend. No hello. Slamming the ring down then offering a below par estimate on it. We've been customers of yours for nearly 3 years now. Both buying and selling from you. And this is how we get treated. Shocking

Biggest rip off in London How can you sell second hand 9ct gold for 40£/gram when the scrap price is £17/g. You haven’t designed/made the item or even cleaned it properly Futhermore your new unbranded 9ct gold is 50£ 60£/gram when you can buy if for half that in Hatton You’d may as well buy from Cartier or Tiffany and still get a better price 100% biggest rip off and worst prices in London

Fantastic service. All staff very friendly and helpful. I got a repair done on my favourite earrings cheap price £15.00 only-very happy with the finished product which was done efficiently. Ended up walking it out with a beautiful necklace (good price )recommended by the shop to go with my pendant that I’m super happy with. All round great service. Would highly recommend.

Took an old ring in to be repaired and received what looks like a completely new ring in return. They’ve done such an incredible job and it’s so much better than I was hoping! The service was efficient and friendly and the work cost 20% less than the quote I got on Hatton Garden. I’ll definitely return in the future and I highly recommend to others.

Last week I broke the front glass of my watch, cause it was my favourite I decided to fix it. After short research in Google I arrived at james jewellery shop. James looked at my watch and said that he will need two days to fix it, which was okay with me. After two days I received a call that my watch is ready. Good watch repair service!

Bought some 9ct gold earrings costing over £200, the crystals (diamonds) was stuck on with some sort of self adhesive. Which came unstuck after a few wears. Couldn't find the receipt so unable to return them. This is the worst jewellery shop I have ever bought from and I own alot of gold jewellery

Poped into croydon in the week to get my engagement ring sized and look for two wedding rings and the selection was amazing. Repair was done within a few hours and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Only place i’ll be going for anything jewellery related from now on.

The customer service received from what seems to be the owner or manager was disgusting and arrogant I would never part with my money at this shop. The other members of staff at the shop are well mannered and helpful it's a shame management are such poor quality.

Getting married in 3 weeks having picked up wedding rings today from the shop chuffed is not the word not just with the rings, I also left my invaluable engagement ring with the team to re work and polish and it’s like I have a whole new diamond thanks soo much

For sure not the best place, where to go in Croydon, the owner is not so friendly with the customers, treating customers roughly shouldn't be the behaviour. I wouldn't recommend it, customer service is the worst in this place. They won't see me ever again.

I brought a ring with dad on it and the ring had to be cut of my finger i am disgustedwith it as it was a memory i brought this on the 1st of febuary and same day i had it cut off my hand and it is really badly broken dont recommend the shop .

The service is low and have given a chain sucha low brand and quality I spent £200 said he would make it shine when I bought it home it had so many scratches went back to exchange or refund but still didn’t gave any option

Great jewellers, all staff are very helpful and very freindly. If you need a repair this is the place to go, they also size rings and design too. I have been using this shop for over 20 years and will continue to do so .

Really overpriced repair job, staff not particularly friendly either. Will stick to other places in the city, bit further to go but at least they've heard of customer service and make sure you're happy before you leave.

Put a 18k gold ring in for repairs , paid £30 after a few weeks it broke again in the same place , my ring even come out thinner than what it was before , avoid over priced and can’t even fix a ring
