Jefferson Feed Mid-City literally saved my and my puppies' lives! I traveled from NYC to adopt two beautiful puppies in New Orleans from Take Paws Rescue (also wonderful!). On my brother's recommendation, we went straight to Jefferson Feed Mid-City for supplies the moment after I picked them up. On the way there, they were (understandably) terrified and had accidents in the car. They then proceeded to be more terrified as we got to the parking lot and I brought them into the store. They were filthy and covered with all kinds of horrible things, and I don't know what I'm doing, so they ran out of their leashes and were truly creating a disaster across the store. A very kind associate working there scooped up the puppies and put them in a shopping cart for me and consoled them with treats while I explained I had no idea what I was doing (I also meant to only get one puppy but here we are). She helped me go all over the store picking out wonderful toys, food, bowls, cushions, and everything they would need for our multi-day drive back to NYC. And they have a DIY grooming area and when I went back there with the pups it was obvious I didn't know what I was doing, and this wonderful person from Jefferson Feed rolled up her sleeves and helped me wash and dry them both, explaining how to do it the whole time. I honestly wanted to weep with gratitude, and still do just thinking about it! She easily spent an hour with us and I will never forget it. We still buy the food she recommended, and use all the supplies. The toys she suggested also truly remain my puppies' favorites many months out. Thank you SO much. Everyone go to Jefferson Feed Mid-City!! What a heartwarming experience to encounter such kindness in the world. Thank you, truly.

Unbelievable-No belly bands-no clerk to check or see if they could assist. Back and forth on the radio. Poor Poor customer service. Never asked if I was in the dog food discount club! At checkout. Cashier never left her post! She was too busy eating! If its not on the shelf we don't have it was the answer! Manager was in the back doing inventory and couldn’t be bothered! I always go to Vets and now I know why. They are helpful and knowledgeable. This location makes everything painful. Zero stars ⭐️ Lynn needs to visit this branch.

Its a great place to get just about anything u might need for ur pet, most of the staff is very knowledgeable in their products, and able to help u find whats best for you and your pet, and if there's any questions they arent able to answer, there is a Veteraninarian clinic in the building as well and they are more than willing to help answer questions and provide veteraninarian services if needed.Rarely is there a time when I have to go elsewhere to get what I need for my pets, and I have many of them.

Much needed addition to the neighborhood. Great to be able to have a FEED STORE nearby without having to drive to Timbuktu. Love perusing the aisle for all things animal. How great it is to be able to get non-prescribed Ned's for your animals right at your fingertips. Clean aisles. Well organized items. Friendly, advice giving staff. Fair pricing. Ample parking in this shared parking lot. Open on Sundays.

Our three dogs, one cat, and one bearded dragon appreciate Jefferson Feed. They carry the entire Fromm line of dog foods. We stick with the purple bag which is lower cost but high quality. It seems to be their best seller as they keep pallets of it outside the store. Also, this is weird, but they have the healthiest worms for reptiles. Staff is very helpful and seem to genuinely enjoy helping pets.

I use to love this place until I realized that all the people that work there don't have training an will tell u anything. They recommend me to buy my 2pound yorkie a type of raw diet that the vet said they should have known better not to tell me it was the best for that type an size dog. My dog almost died. She has been back an fourth to the vet 4 straight days.

I am a mom and pop shopper. I love that this small company expanded to my neighbor. The pet store is small, but the service is always great. If the don't have an item I need, such as my turtle supplies, they order it for me and I pick it up next trip. I do know that I can just order it online, but I am all about supporting local businesses.

I wish I could give this place even more stars since I've started shopping there regularly! Great range, great prices, and amazing staff who put in the effort to remember their customers, and always ask after their pets. Always a really friendly, happy vibe, that can make a boring chore into a fun an educating experience.

Definitely a place you wanna spend your money! The ladies there were so kind to let us bring our pups in and give them treats! One staff member even sat on the floor and helped us try on new harnesses, so kind and caring for the animals and welcoming to the customers. Amen for Jefferson Feed! …

This location primarily has pet supplies, but they do have chicken feed. If you're looking for plants, a new pet, baby chicks, or equestrian supplies, you should go to their location on Jefferson Highway.

Needs a more diverse staff. The city is 60% Black. This should be reflected. The animal food is a bit pricey. The mulch is on par with home depot. They are practicing social distancing as they should.

It’s really uncanny how knowledgeable the workers are at this Jefferson Feed location. Not just about pet related products either. They know a lot about plants as well. I’m very loyal to this place.
