This place is one of a kind. Hey it's a dive for sure, but a cool one. Complete with it's own crowd of "regulars". Entertainment here includes a full sized pool table, pulltabs, jukebox with a variety of music, and a small dance area. They made a few upgrades to the place recently like new tables and a new paint job, however the overall feel of the place still screams DIVE. They offer a decent menu with affordable prices...I must say....the burgers are delicious! The bartenders ROCK, super cool and super good looking. Overall it's a fun place to hang but if you come actin a fool or can't hold your liquor....your sure to be quickly escorted out the door on your ass. This place isn't for sissies however you'll find most of the people are decent and overall, a welcoming crowd.

This bar is mine and my friend’s favorite place to go before games and events at Lumen field and T-mobile park. The staff is super friendly, the food is really good (the fries are the best) and the drinks are great priced. You can get two drinks here for the price of one at the stadium. Considering the area and the fact that this is a dive bar my friend and I, as two young females, have never felt unsafe going to Joes and hanging out in there, everyone is super friendly! I highly recommend going!!!

I am leaving a review on behalf of my 77 yr old aunt. Who was treated horribly last Saturday. My aunt was asked to leave after her friend was turned away from receiving service for no reason. My Aunt and her friend is a regular at this diner and don't cause any trouble. The bartender dose not speak to them nor dose she make them feel comfortable. They only continue to go because it was a comfortable atmosphere for them other wise. It's extremely disappointing that my great aunt was treated this way!!!

I'm only putting 3 stars for the atmosphere because Joe's has some customers that are regulars that have really bad attitudes. One in particular, and he seems to be there all day every day. And there are a few others that go there on the regular that are just... Really DDS and condescending. The bartenders are nice though. If it wasn't for the cantankerous people there, Joe's could be really a fun place. They served great drinks though - they do not skimp on the alcohol, I can tell you that.

This is hands down my favorite bar in Seattle. Awesome bartenders who will take care of you and try to remember your drink if you're a regular. The food is stupid delicious and the bar itself is super clean. Pull tabs, pool, stand up on Thursdays, other events always in the works on the weekends, and amazing food. ALWAYS get the special. Or a Joe's burger. The Joe's burger is ti#s. As long as you aren't an a##, you're always welcomed. Inclusivity and diversity abound here. So don't be an a## when you get in the door.

Joe's is an interesting little dive bar next to the light rail stop in the International District of Seattle. I has a ton of character, both in it's decor and in it's staff - both of which are great. They have a large selection of pull tabs to pass the time, but the real gem here is the deals they have on their food. Their food is pretty good, and super cheap compared to many other spots around it. Always check out the lunch specials, and the shot of the day (it's always a mystery shot of something random). Worth going here before you hop on the train if you're in the area.

  • Frank

Anyone who rates this place less than 4 stars needs to learn what a dive bar is... This place is AMAZING!! Phenomenal staff all around! If you get attitude it's cause you're drunk or rude. Bartenders are always right. You don't like that? Please do everyone a favor and go somewhere else! I live blocks away and this has been my go to bar before and after games or simply for a nightcap for years. It's loud, it's crazy, it's so much fun!! I bring all my friends here!

A very hostile environment for a customer who spoke up on behalf of witnessing the bartender rudely demanding a customer (s) to exit the establishment; no rowdy or disrespectful disposition displayed…Sadly the bartender (blond, white female with a scar/marking on her face) decides who stays and who must leave the bar. She enjoys harassing and bullying customers that she dislikes. The owner should be aware of her rudeness and lack for customer service.

Single coin operated pool table and limited space as a whole. But, thats pretty much up my alley. The service was quick and attentive. The burgers are pretty damn tasty. I had Joe's signature and the cheese burger. They can hold their own against any burger spot I've had thus far in the area, for the price. As far as the vibe goes I was here during lunch hours so it was mostly old regulars.

Got a beer and some food to go in the 20 minutes I had before a train. Fast and good service, cold beer, delightfully salty fries, and disappointing sandwich: Plastic cheese and a single chicken strip on the sad, dry little sandwich.... Decent bacon and a side of ranch were it's only redeeming qualities but the cost made it hard to choke down. Great stop for a beer before your train though!

Pretty divey, so it's perfect if that's what you're looking for. I cant comment on the food, but it's a great place to wait and have a few drinks or just to hang out at. Seems to have a fairly dedicated group of regulars and is overall a chill place to hang out. At any rate, it will get you off the disgusting Seattle streets and away from the homeless people who insist on using the sidewalk as a hunting ground/toilet

  • Antoine Victor

Interesting place in Chinatown with pool tabs and a pool table and a decent jukebox. There's also a pinball machine and well stocked bar. Fast kitchen with decent bar food. My only complaint is the bathrooms are a little unsavory and there's no door on the stall in the men's room so no number twos.

About as much of a dive bar as a dive bar could be. That's a good thing! Pull tabs, pool table, kitchen, booze and beer selection. I have not tried the food, so I cannot comment. But the neighborhood has a lot of amazing Asian restaurants. The atmosphere is pretty cool, they always have sports on, and the place is littered, absolutely littered, with discarded pull tabs. Watch your step!

  • Isaac Steiner

A+ dive bar experience. Quarter operated pool tables, huge selection of pull tabs, and honestly a great beer selection. Irish Death and Space Dust FTW. Super chill staff and bomb bar food. Also really convenient to the Link.

Okay I'm giving this 5 starts because it is the best at what it is, which is a dive bar. In true dive bar fashion, they only accept cash. Have no fear they have an ATM available. The place send to always be full of regulars and interesting characters. Cheap stiff drinks and plenty of grime. Screw paying $12 for a fancy cocktail, rather be here any day.

  • David Rice

This bar is live and energetic good food and drinks.. although I don't drink.. the place is always packed.. they have awesome people who work there who make you feel welcomed.. so if you're in Chinatown zigzag your butt on over to Joe's Bar And Grill and get yourself a burger and beer... cheers

Got the steak. It was good. It's a Dive Bar steak not a restaurant steak..if you don't know the difference then you will love it. If you do don't complain here. The staff does a wonderful job, especially when it gets busy.

The atmosphere is exactly what I like - a local dive. We ordered the homemade tots to munch on, and they were fantastic. They're deep fried, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, seasoned perfectly. We just had a couple beers, but were surprised that the bartender didn't know what a Moscow mule was. No big though. Great place, we'll be back.

  • Dan Savage

Had their daily special for dinner. Great Bourbon BBQ ribs, baked Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, and Texas toast. Delicious! Some of the best BBQ I've had since I moved to Seattle from Kansas City. I go there for dinner often, and their kitchen is awesome. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for a quick beer and shot and was pleasantly surprised at what a great place this is. The bartender and regulars were very nice, the beer is cold, and the decor reminds me of bars back in NY.

1st time hanging out here! Went towards end of M's game. (We won) Fun atmosphere, great bartenders and people watching. Look forward to going back and hitting the pool table. I imagine a good spot for pre-funk to a ball game as you can walk across the plaza to the pedestrian bridge. Sorry no pics this time.

  • Lance Hill

Great locals Hangout. Lulu is awesome!!! Great bloody Mary, thanks Lulu. Good juke box, full of the classics. Fun people watching. Just around the corner from the best dumplings spot I've been to in China Town - Ping's Dumpling House . We will definitely be back, the next time we come up from Portland.

  • Jay Hitt

This is the ultimate dive bar sitting on the edge of the international district. You can't get more divey than this, but that's its charm. Thursday night is and open mic comedy night. The host is delightful. The comedians are hit or miss, but that's the beauty of open mics. It's a fun atmosphere.

  • ang dahl

Went there after Seahawks game on Monday night. The bartenders we're amazing. The place was packed. I was nervous about giving her my credit card to hold my tab. But she knew my name instantly when I wanted to tab out. She was so fast and had a great attitude. The long island I had was perfect.

  • Erika Newitt

Wow! Walked in here for a drink after visiting the Japanese market and was pleasantly surprised. So much character in here. Locals, travelers, interesting dive bar vibe with the nicest bar tenders and helpful patrons. Its gritty and colorful like a dive bar should be. Drinks were good too.

  • Ben A (Halfmexicanallfiesta)

Great dive bar with friendly staff, billiards, pull tabs, and quick drinks. I haven't had a chance to try the food but will update when I do. If you are in the international district or a hotel near by and looking for that local dive this is the spot.

I Love a good dive bar! Always have fun, it's just seedy enough, the woman bartenders take no b.s. and poor a nice drink. The jukebox has excellent balance of musical genres, the food is pub food, consistent with no surprises.

Joe's bar and grill may look like a dive but it sells great food. Burgers are awesome chicken fingers, fried mushrooms, fish and chips. Make sure you get there by 8:00 if you're eating food. It may be a motley crowd, but they have one pool table and at least 10 spots at the bar.

  • Leland Hart

Best dive bar in the interational district right on the corner of the entrance to china town and across the street from King Street public transportation hub. Great place to layover for a pint or two, and the food is a great value for the price and quality in downtown Seattle.

  • Jason Bieber

Special place! Lots of characters, but the bartenders took care of the negative wonderfully. Our bartender was amazing. If you're looking for dive, booze, people, it's a great place. Really close to century link field if you want some good drinks before or after the game.

  • Jeremiah McRae

Google says they are open until 2am. They ARE NOT! They close at midnight. Found this out the hard way when I needed to wait for greyhound and decided to check out the only "open" bar as my bus doesn't leave until 2am. Now I get to stand in the rain for 90 minutes.

Stayed at the hostel down the street, they tell all their customers to not go to Joes, so I immediately went. Some real low rung humans there, and I loved every minute of it. If you are meek, wimpy, or high class, don't bother, you will hate it. I love this place.

  • Jennifer Luna

Service was awful. I guess I expect service to be like "back home" where the bartenders go to your table and ask you what you want, not you go to the bar and order. Either way, took forever to get some service.

Great dive bar! Nice chow & decent prices on everything, especially considering being located in downtown Seattle. Pleasant bartenders, lots of fish bowls, tv's for sports, rockin' juke box, and a nice pool table! I stop in every time I'm in the neighborhood.

  • Matt Bonney

Alright, it's a dive. It makes no bones about it. They got pull tabs and booze. The food is not bad. Go there and know what you're walking into and you'll love it. I once watched two women get into a fistfight at 2pm there. It's a great place to drink

  • Thomas Rountree Jr

Joe's is a great dive bar. One of the best in all of Seattle. From the stiff drinks, solid and affordable bar food, excellent location with an eclectic vibe. The bar also sells pool tabs. Not for the squeamish but its Seattle how bad can it get.

Joe’s is a dive bar. There is no doubt about it. It looks scary from the outside, but don’t worry, it's fine inside. The bartenders are friendly and quick. Taps are kept clean, as my Bodi always tastes great. Grab some pull tabs and relax.
