Firstly I had to call store 6 times before I got a response. After I finally got through I spoke to the young lady that has recorded the stores answer machine message (I forget her name but voice was instantly recognizable), after asking if they had stock of 150w infrared prorep screw in heat bulbs, I was told that the biggest size available was 100w. That in itself isn't really an issue but WHAT HAPPENED NEXTIS. Without even asking the size of the vivarium and the species being kept I was told that I wouldn't require bigger than 100w anyway so that product would suffice and was in stock. Its a good job im not new to keeping reptiles otherwise my burmese python would be on the way to a serious Respitory infection, as due to the size of the vivarium minimum of 150w is required to keep an adequate air temperature and acceptable hot/cold spots. Looks like I'm also going to be speaking to Vicky or Omar, the animal welfare officers at Birmingham city council with a request for review of your licence enabling the sale of pets, because if you keep doing things like that, you will be responsible for the deaths or serious illness of peoples loved pets. I am absolutely disgusted.

Just For Pets - Northfield store Always a pleasure to shop at this store, well laid out, bright and clean. But the main reason I choose to shop here (over the well known pet shop in our area) are the lovely staff. Always warm and friendly and they do not pounce on you the second you walk in. Staff take the time to help you and it’s so nice to exchange “tails” of our furry babies. I wish I worked in such a calm and happy place!!! I phoned the store this afternoon with a product enquiry and had the pleasure of speaking to Natalie, who could not of been more helpful and welcomed my feedback with a genuine openness. Customer service is clearly very important as Natalie said she was going to email the supplier enabling the staff to better advise potential customers. The staff at the Northfield store stand out with their relaxed yet informative manner, a complete contrast to the majority of the stores in the main shopping area, proving a little kindness really does go a very long way. What more could you ask for?

Excellent store and customer service. I'm a first-time dog mum and found the sales representative Natalie to be polite and informative about puppy nutrition. Having a puppy for the first time can be overwhelming with all the products on show to offer, however, I was made to feel at ease and gain a better understanding of my pup's health. I was also provided with some careful information about fresh treats that were suitable for my pup, which I had no previous knowledge about whether these were safe or not. I enjoyed my shopping experience and plan to bring my pup along during my next visit. Thank you, Natalie, and Just for pets!

Went in there just to show my brother the rabbits as he loves them so much ❤️ Lucy was amazing she even got a rabbit out for my little brother to see and I ended up falling in love with the little guy. I was talking to Lucy saying that I really want him which she told me that she can put him on hold for me. I put the £35 down for him and waited till I got paid to get everything else. I finally have him at home with me and he amazing. Thank you Lucy you was amazing with your help and everything else, if you are wanting a new family member go talk to Lucy she will help you with everything, will be coming again thank you

Nice and friendly staff to us customers and to my puppy. Good selection of products, although could do with more training treat products for the 8-12 week old puppies. Lots of parking space. Didn't need to question them to see their knowledge, but I'd bet they would know the answers. Updated 20th Nov 2019 So I got the chance to talk to the staff and quiz them about a few things, the two lovely ladies went through a lot of information with what's best for my 10 week old border collie. From toys and treats, to food and accessories. Very knowledgeable staff and very friendly.

Good for small items and little things like leads and collars, flea treatments, etc, etc but please note that when trying to purchase a bed or soft rest for your pet, this place will try and daylight-rob you in terms of the prices. £35 for a tiny dog bed?! Who are they kidding?! Retailers are getting more and more expensive, whilst the people's wages get less and less. The last thing we need is retailers like this one over-charging or setting robust prices for stuff that should be way cheaper. Just my opinion....

Bought 2 toys from the bargain basket by the checkout for my dogs for Christmas. Had a label saying children's toy but I assumed ok for dogs as in a pet store...Wrong!!! On getting home and reading small print it said Not suitable for pets although on a Pets at Home label!! Since when do people go to a pet store to buy a child's toy Worse still the young man on the till was belligerent/ argumentative when I wanted a refund! They lost a good customer who has 4 spoilt pets!

I normally don't shop here and use pets at home instead, but as I was near I popped in to grab a few things for my dog. The staff seemed friendly enough and I managed to get everything but my dogs food, I have had this problem a few times where they don't stock what my dogs eats, so have had to go elsewhere. If they stocked her food I can see I would pop in a bit more often but for the odd occasion it's ok. Prices where good on the things I needed so can't complain.

The staff in this store never fail to impress me with how professional and kind they are. It’s rare to find a store where EVERY SINGLE employee genuinely helps and doesn’t mind answering questions no matter how random or silly it is… I can’t recommend this store enough My cat (thumper) and I are so grateful for the kindness and help…. I never feel stupid asking for help here

Lovely shop went into get some things for our new baby buggie he's so cute and I like that you can walk around and look at the bird's they have the staff are friendly and I like that you can buy the loose items as well,as sometimes you may not want to buy a whole pack, they sell everything so no matter what kind of pet you have they have what you want lovely shop.

They say they offer a service to clip rabbit nails and prefer you to take your rabbit there if you have got one if there rabbits but I have tried to book my rabbit in 5 tines and every time they have said they can’t do it today but won’t book appointments for the next day. Also takes forever for them to answer the phone! Will never be using this store again

great pet store, unlike other pet stores, just for pets seems to care for the welfare of animals over profit and actually sells suitable accessories for hamsters, I have seen them sell the 100x50cm savic plaza in the shop and also a range of great dog and cat accessories! This is a great shop for when I need to buy enrichment for my hamster or bunnies!

I needed a muzzle as it was a requirement of the ferry company I had booked a holiday with when taking a dog. Tracy could not have been more helpful in showing me how to choose the right size and fit. She gave my dog lots of treats to get her to accept the new experience, and she went out with a wag in her tail!! Thank you so much.

Just For Pets Northfield is a well stocked store filled with incredibly helpful staff! I have not once had a bad experience at this store, and I regularly use it to buy supplies for reptiles. They have live food deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays, so as long as you plan around this they are never short of anything you need!

Bought a crested gecko from just for pets Northfield. Knowledgeable staff member (Sarah) obviously cares a great deal about the reptiles in her care. Took a lot of time to explain everything to me, and answer my questions Not like other shops that want a quick sale. Would not go anywhere else for my pet supplies now.

When I arrived the assistant smiled and asked if we were shopping for anything in particular we needed 2 seat belts for our dog she took us straight to them ... I was really grateful as my son was with me and with the present covid-19 situation I wanted to get in & out as quick as possible.... a very lovely lady

Very helpful staff give plenty of advice and ask you the questions about the product that your buying for eg I brought a muzzle as we've a trip to the vets the lady that served me asked breed of the dog to make sure I brought the right one and size and gave me advice on how long it should be kept on for.

Had such a good experience here. Went in just to look at the hamsters, left with a bunny and a full cage set up.....my little boy was beyond excited. Lucy was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. If you are considering a small pet definitely give them a visit, don't go anywhere else.

Lovely shop, helpful staff, so much choice of natural treats for dogs. There is even a fenced off area to try harnesses on your dogs. Free car park, dogs welcome, lots of space in the shop. A bigger range of Y-fronted harnesses and Ruffwear longer harnesses and this would be the perfect shop.

Took my guinea pigs here today to have there nails clipped, they were very quick and the pigglys are happy. Get all my guinea pig, bird, snake and dog supplies from here too. Massive range to choose from and really friendly staff, also cute animals in there to look at so that's a bonus …

A pet store easy access and a large carpark with disabled parking and with easy disabled entrance as it's on ground level-- the staff are courteous and are very knowledgeable and the store is well lit and packed out with everything your pet needs so give it a visit …

Spoke to Lucy about food for my frenchie to find out what was best very knowledgable and polite will definitely be back . They also have a new naturals section that looks interesting selling finer food for pets which is nice. Here's oz feeling sleepy after his new food.

I use to like going to just for pets for fish food and the weed for the fish tank, I'd take my granddaughter she loves to look at the animals, but it all changed an no more fish just bits and bobs now, the animals are still there, but there's nothing I want anymore.

Extremely helpful. We are first time puppy owners and clueless they gave us loads of help and invited us back when we have the puppy. Didn't over sell us anything just the basics for the first few months of the puppies life. We shall definitely be going back.

When it sells stuff you can buy at Wilko for £1.00 (not a special offer price), for £1.69, I do wonder about the other stuff they sell. As it's the only place I can buy Walter Harrison's bird food, locally, I'll continue to shop there.

A great selection of frozen, raw pet foods! Many different brands of dog foods, would love to see more cat foods however. Lots of stuff for dogs and cats generally. They don't stock live pets which is also an ethical bonus.

Depend on what you looking for but thing you could find in there are parrots, guinea pigs and bunny's. No fishe's at all! You can find all accessories for pets and food too. Staff is so lovely and helpfull.

Fun to watch the pup run around and explore. Walked out with a Frozen Yoghurt we didn't intend to buy and she ate it straight away. Will always come here for advice and *apparently* Frozen Yoghurt

My 3 year old loves going in to see the animals, the staff are always welcoming to us, and the female manager always opens the pens up so he can touch the rabbits, he even gets to touch the snakes
