Spectacular variety of desserts and pastries, and way better quality than your average supermarket bakery for the same price or less. The first time I came to this little shop with my boyfriend we were having some difficulties and just wanted to grab a drink. The lady that runs this place (I assume, because she's usually there) was very kind to us at a time we both really needed and appreciated it. So now that things are better, on his birthday we stopped there and I told him to pick whatever dessert he wanted and we expressed our gratitude for her kindness. Surprisingly, she remembered us! Not only is this a great place for anyone with a sweet tooth, it's a great place to support for being so compassionate and community minded. And I have never had a better custard square in all my life!

I have ordered before from Karlik and everytime the dessert was top notch. AMAZING frankly. Today unfortunately did not go as planned. There was a mix up of my order and was scheduled for another date. Needless to say I did not have a cake. My mother in-law's favourite. I called the manager and she felt awful, showed incredible professionalism and worked with me to find a solution. Although i did not go home with what i ordered, she gave me an excellent substitute free of charge. We know mistakes happen, but when a small business works with their customers to make them happy, that is where you invest your money. I will always continue to shop local and be visiting Karlik again in the future. Thank you team.

We were blown away with how delicious and beautiful our three-tier wedding cake was! The cake was very light and flavourful, and not overly sweet like most wedding cakes. My husband claims that was the best wedding cake he ever had! I was also told that some guests went up for a 3rd piece!!! This all at a very reasonable price! We are super grateful for the wonderful job that Karlik did and highly recommend them for cakes of any kind and complexity.

We purchased the eclairs with custard and the caramel cream puffs at the Farmer's Market. They were so delicious, we returned the next day and bought the rest they had. The texture of the custard was perfect and the cream in the puffs was so velvety smooth and delicious. These desserts were very reasonably priced, so much so that I'll probably be buying these on a weekly (if not more) basis!

I recommend this bakery to all of my Asian friends that can't handle the overly sweet baking that can be found at all major grocery stores. The cakes with the cream and an abundance of fruit are the best cakes I've ever had. I'm not a huge fan of sugar, and I love their cakes. Haven't tried their chocolate cakes yet, but their fruit cakes are to die for.

I was out for a walk last night on James St and saw two young men enjoying baked goodies. The guys informed me they were still warm...fresh out of the oven. So, of course, I had too stop at the bakery. It was Polish cream tarts, still warm. I bought 2, you know, save one for later. I ate both, one right after the other.

We had them do a lot of the desserts for our midnight buffet at our wedding and this place is amazing. My favourite is the Vienna cheesecake- also for those who are not aware Karlik also comes to the Kitchener Market, as well as to the St. Jacobs market on Saturdays!

Tasty, not too sweet baked goods. Bought brownie and lemon cake. Perfect complement to warm hot chocolate, tea or coffee on a cold winter day! This place highly recommended. Went to their other location at the Hamilton farmers market. Friendly staff.

Nice selection of slab cakes and various sweets; while every other bakery/deli had cakes baked one week before Easter, I grabbed a cheesecake from Karlik and it was so fresh and very good. -- Mimi's Cake Tour

I was pleasantly surprised by variety and taste. Better taste than desserts I usually get at Starsky (at least their Mississauga/ Oakville locations). Good pricea and very pleasant staff

Finally i found the bakery in Canada with desserts which tastes like my mama and babcia did it. Thank you for the delicious treat for Ukrainian Christmas. Definitely will come back.

Bought a cake that was suppose to be chocolate and caramel cake as per the girl at the counter. The cake was very bland with little taste. Won't be going here again
