My tooth had broken and I was experiencing some tooth pain. I was offered an appointment very quickly and efficiently. My treatment was pain free and I was given all my options which were available. Even though I am a NHS patient I opted for a cerec crown which is not included withing NHS charges. During my appointment my dentist talked me through everything they were doing and made me feel very relaxed. I would highly recommend this practice. I have many friends and family members who also attend. Knighton Dental practice is location is easily accessible. There was parking available along the side streets and outside of the practice. Be mindful of what times you park within the bus lanes though. Inside the practice it was very modern and they offers a wide range of treatments such as Invisalign, composite bonding, dental implants, teeth whitening, routine treatments and much more. The practice offers both NHS and private dentistry. There were two floors within the building with surgeries on both levels which provided access to all patients needs during appointments. The front of house were very friendly and welcoming and there was very little wait for my appointments. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The practice offers a wide range of state of the art technology, they have X-rays which are digital. Once my X-rays were taken they were visible within minutes, to view and discuss with my dentist. As mentioned, they offer crowns in a day using something called prime scan, with having this digital scan instead of gooey messy impressions. With a prime scan they explained to me that this allowed my dentist to take a digital impression of my teeth. My crown was then made at my same appointment and fitted. Which saved me having to book further appointments. There was also an itero scanner available which scans teeth. After checking out their website, it explained this digital scanner can create a simulation to show how teeth could look after Invisalign treatment before even committing to it. My husband has also recently completed his Invisalign teeth straightening treatment at Knighton Dental and he has never looked back. It was the best decision he ever made, the only thing he wishes he would have done was that he had the treatment done years ago !!! He was a very nervous patient but was made to feel at ease during all of his dental appointments. His was so impressed with his treatment that he recommends Knighton Dental to everyone and doesn’t stop smiling :) My husband found Invisalign treatment was a great teeth straightening option. As he had to wear clear aligners, they were less visible to everyone that when he spoke to people on a daily basis they didn’t even know he was having any treatment. Appointments at the practice can be booked via their online appointment system or by calling their receptionist. We both recommend Knighton Dental highly to everyone!!

Very difficult to get an appointment. When I did, it took so long that my cavity suddenly needed a root canal. This was bizarre in itself because even the dentist seemed unsure and kept expressing that it might be better instead of a filling even though it wasn't 100% clinically supported. I definitely felt pressured and there was a note of scaremongering. As a nervous patient, I felt obliged to go along. I can see why people have complained that the dentist is more focused on money grabbing and keen to force bigger treatments than required. Once the root canal was done they suggested a crown. The dentist was very rude, not explaining anything properly. Acted rushed and had an abrupt manner. No reassurance, no conversation. When he started mentioning the colour of the crown I said that I thought it was supposed to be white to which he scoffed and looked incredulous as though I was a fool. He was dismissive and said he will call me after checking with a colleague so I could make a further appointment. I was not contacted for months. When I did finally go back myself, lo and behold the tooth was now beyond a crown and needed removing. This isn't the first time I have had issues with crowns. My previous crown from here became infected underneath and when I went to another practise for an emergency appointment, they were shocked at how poorly the crown had been done. Knighton did not take any responsibility and didn't offer any resolution. It had to be removed and the tooth removed. Perhaps it is easier for them to perform a removal than offer anything else to fix the issue. Just a couple of examples from a catalogue of unprofessional treatment. Overall not a professional practice. I don't recommend.

Absolutely disgusted with this place as an NHS patient they took me on as an NHS patient but for my first 3 appointments they charged me privately. Then I had a really bad infection and the dentist himself made it very difficult for me to get the antibiotics in which I ended up going to a dentist in turkey to sort out the infection when my mum went over for a different reason. Thank goodness as when they looked at my infection in turkey they said it was very very bad and they gave me 2 boxes of antibiotics after as I told them what this dentist had done so she gave me an extra box in case I needed them again. This was back in January 2023 now in December 2023 I rang to book in my daughters appointment who is 7 years old. When I rang to book the receptionist said they took her off the books and she won’t be taken back on. Let me guess because she is a child and you can’t charge for that. My daughter is at the age of her teeth falling out and re-growing a very important time to see the dentist. This dentist is all about money, they don’t care about there clients what so ever but you have the money they will pretend to care. Even the receptionists when I have been in and spoken to them. They are rude and act like they are better than anyone who walks in. This place should get shut down.

I heard great things about this dental practice and so I registered my daughter here. However, the entire experience was rushed and very awkward. We turned up for our appointment and the dentist was Mr Patel, he greeted us and said hello and began examining her teeth! He barely even looked at her teeth, just a quick look! he then stopped to go this computer to type and he looks up at me and says is she experiencing any problems? I explain she has been having pain and other issues. He then stops to look quickly again and looks back at me and says I’ll print you leaflet . I asked does my daughter not need to come in for a clean (hygienist appointment) He then proceeds to say no. He then tries to get us to see another dentist for a treatment she needs. All the while i’m stood up, no seat was provided for me, I was stood in the corner awkwardly. The entire appointment was literally under 6 minutes. My daughter is a child he barely acknowledged her or me. I can understand that he may have been short for time but this was my daughter’s first time meeting him, the whole experience was strange for both of us and we are a little apprehensive about our next visit.

I first came to Knighton Dental Practice for a wisdom tooth which had to be taken out and it was done so smoothly and quick which i need from the dentist, dont really like it when it takes forever. My previous dentist had traumatised me so I was very anxious. However ever since I've come here, all my check ups and treatment have been really good, even if I have any issues, I know I can ring up and they will happily sort it out. No complaints at all so far and I feel calm about having dentists appointments since coming here. Plus all the staff are always smiling and welcoming. Thank you.

Not pleased with the care (or lack of) my daughter received. She has severe learning disabilities and autism. Had been going to this dentist since she was a baby and point blank refused to go into the appointment room year after year. It took them 3-4 years to refer her to a specialist that deals with children with disabilities "We will try again next time"while your childs teeth don't get looked at year after year. The dentist still got paid and got a free slot so obviously didn't care that she was going so long not being looked at could have made the referral years before.

Absolutely awful service from this practice, booked my 7 year old in to have a tooth out, 40 minutes of trauma for him and the lady says let me see if a dentist can take it out? Thought they were a dentist. Child so traumatised that wouldn’t let dentist see him so now need referring to elsewhere so they can do it properly. If had dentist in first place it would of been done, don’t know what this practice think they’re doing, no wonder people are afraid of the dentist, particularly children.

I am new to the practice and my experience with them so far has been great. Working full time meant it has been easier contacting them via WhatsApp, which I thought might be an issue initially, but they are super responsive & it’s made registering, & booking really easy. My partner & I have seen Shiv Makwana for all of our appointments & couldn’t fault him. He’s welcoming & puts you at ease straight away. I booked an appointment 1 month ago and was seen to immediately with no issue. This is bar far the best practice I have been to in my life. Bayleigh was a real joy to meet and she made my experience outstanding. That girl deserves a pay rise immediately. Shamillah was also fantastic and really looked after me as soon as I entered the premises. I will not be going anywhere else for as long as I am in Leicestershire... GREAT JOB KNIGHTON YOUR CLASS !

Really impressed by this dental practice. Dr. Amit Patel was my dentist and he was so thorough and transparent in every step of my assessment and necessary procedures. Having just moved to the area it is so refreshing to have a dentist that is so forthcoming about options and costs. This was my first time ever visiting the dentist and I had a very pleasant experience. Himesh Amin and all the staff were all very helpful and friendly. He talked me through the whole process and took his time to make sure everything went smoothly. He was able to arrange for my extraction the same day saving me having to take more time out of my schedule

From initial consultation to regular reviews and assessments to a brilliant result which exceeded expectation considering mine was a complex case. I had a bad experience with my last dental hygienist appointment, and was very pleasantly surprised on this appointment. The dentist was very warm and friendly. I felt she really took her time and explained what she was doing. She also took the time to show me what I was doing wrong with my own dental hygiene. I would recommend.

I highly recommend dentist Amit! He was very kind, explained the root canal and crown procedure thoroughly, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. The process was surprisingly quick, and I honestly regret not coming to him sooner. His assistant Anna was also lovely and supportive. A fantastic experience overall!

Generally I have a good experience, minor gripes are a lack of eye contact from some of the receptionists when you are checking in for your appointment and I've sometimes been sat waiting for my appointments for half an hour or so, which can be inconvenient when trying to fit it into a working day.

Really lovely dentist and receptionists! Booked my appointment over the phone and was seen within a few days, I needed a filling and was explained all my options. The dentist was very friendly and reassuring, it was over in no time and I felt nothing! Cannot thank you all enough, highly recommend!

Receptionists are always polite and pleasant, surgery is fresh, clean and well fitted out. Both the hygienists and the dentists rooms are comfortable with good lighting and the welcome chat with both is friendly. Always been very happy with the treatments I’ve received and the sound advice.

Had two recent extended appointments with the hygienist Aneesha to carry out an extensive clean on my teeth roots, my teeth have felt so good after it was carried out, took 40 mins per day , well worth the money , would recommend the treatment to anyone with gum issues . Thanks

Having been a patient at this practice for over 20 years and having had the same dentist for most of that time I’m now a little disappointed to be passed over to new dentists each time I visit. However, I cannot fault their professionalism and their friendly courtesy.

A very supportive experience having two implants fitted. I was well looked after, every step was explained to me and I felt no discomfort at all. After care was well explained and I felt confident when leaving the building.

Great customer service, friendly staff. Layout is very clean and modern, recent renovation looks great. Appointments can start a bit late than booked on for. Was able to get an interest free finance for orthodontic braces.

Great dental practise! Mr Amin was great during my root canal and fillings, went without any issues and was done within 1 hour 15 minutes all together! All staff at the location are really friendly aswell.
