My friends and I have been coming here for years. The odd time we'd go somewhere else is when this place was closed or was full on bookings. Recently, I decided to purchase my own bowling ball and I'm very glad that I didn't just choose the nicest looking ball online and called it quits. I went to see Mike - the store pro - and he set me up completely. He watched me bowl to check on my style, made a recommendation and gave me a great deal. At no point did he try to oversell me and even explained why he doesn't believe in selling overpriced products. The rest of the regular staff are amazing as well. Ed, Gill and others are always there for a good chat and bowling support. There is definitely a community feel in this place and I'm looking forward to signing up for league play again soon.

LaVérendrye was pretty cool, although it has a very casual feel. Like the kind of place you and your friends go to as teenagers, or a place where you take toddlers and their friends for somebody's birthday. They also serve food; pizza and pop which again is exactly the sort of fare you like when you're younger. If you're thinking of going there for a first date and you're in your mid-twenties, don't. Unless you really like bowling, and even then there are probably nicer bowling alleys in town. This is not to say it's bad, far from it. It just has a raucous vibe that may not gel with you unless you're part of the people causing the raucous.

Usually go a couple times a month. Went there last night after work to catch the end of the Jets game. It was league night. Atmosphere was electric as one could expect. Staff are ALWAYS exceptionally polite and, charmingly funny (except the red haired young man ewho is sarcastically hilarious) Went with a friend who proceeded to eat an entire pizza to himself so I can testify as an eye witness to how good the pizza is. Lol. Bathrooms are always clean (sadly can't say that about most of the other lanes I've been to). Beers always cold. What more could you ask for?

This place is so clean and the staff are awsome. .the lanes are very well taken care of the washrooms are spotless the only thing I don't like about this place is the food selection..they have fresh pizza and microwave eats..would like to see maybe fries and onion rings but this place is really worth a look. You won't be disappointed and no I don't work here..use to go to another lane on Nairn but a couple of my friends invited me here and I won't go anywhere else now..say his to Mike at the pro shop. Really knows his stuff

Had a school book lanes but never informed them that they still require vaccination cards ( considering no one else does anymore, guess can't get with the current times). So due to this multiple kids who paid for bowling were denied because they did not have their cards. Way to ruin a kids day because staff lacked communicating this extremely important information. Will definitely recommend any other bowling alley in the city other than these guys. Seems to be the only bowling alley still requiring this in the city

If you're looking for a uncrowded bowling alley, this place is for you. The alley, on most occasions, only have a few people there. The prices set for one round of bowling, renting bowling shoes, and renting the pool table are cheap and affordable. LaVérendrye Bowling Lanes also provides food and drinks. The food isn't the best quality, but it's set at a reasonable price for what you're receiving. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a good time with your friends and family, for an affordable price.

We went on Jan 1, they had the competition going on that day and we need to wait for an hour to play, and the owner let us to use the pool service for free during the waiting time, what a nice guy!! And I like how they have the red pine at the front and always the challenge one, this is the only place I went for bowling every time in Winnipeg. Love it

I was extremely pleased to find a place where I could take my young family to bowl without breaking the bank. I've bowled 5-pin lots in my life, but this was my first time bowling 10-pin. The fellow behind the counter was friendly and very helpful. Great facility! Thank you, LaVérendrye Bowling Lanes! I look forward to coming again soon!

Google says it's open until 1am. 5 of us paid for a game. At midnight they just shut down our game with no notice. Why not tell us there was no time? What was the point of us even paying for a game? They took our money from 5 people and we never finished our game. What did we pay for? Could have at least warned us about the closing time.

We went there for bowling and pool today. The bowling lane was pretty nicely maintained and the price is also really good. The only and major thing that I didn’t likes was where the pool table was. The place to play pool was really small and it was really hard to play pool. So overall great place for bowling but not for pool

Used to love going to this place but service has gone down drastically. We made reservations a week before and showed up only to be rudely told that we didn’t have any. The first time it happened, it’s whatever but how can it happen again for a SECOND time?? Might as well not take any phone calls at this point.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Everyone working at this lane was super friendly and enthusiastic about bowling. I not only learned a lot about bowling but became much more interested in the activity due to the friendliness and forwardness of the staff. My friends and I will be coming back for more …

Nice place, good prices but the pizza is awful. Probably the worst pizza I've ever had. Canned mushrooms and pineapple.... there was a thick layer of cheese but had a weird unnatural texture. Tasted like canned veggie/fruit on cardboard topped with a thick layer of weird cheese.

Nice bright place, went there for a kid's birthday party. Clean and very auspicious setting. The only complaint is the smell of smoke in the stair well from people smoking by the emergency door, it stink up the place and damper the mood especially when kids are present.

Zero customer service… the women who was on shift right now had to say something so she shouted at us instead of coming to us and saying politely. we paid for the services taken that was really very disrespectful…I’m very disappointed..learn some manners lady.

There's a rotten tomato among the staff and it's spoiling everything else. Lanes are still excellent and prices are the same. Our group's bi-weekly games has been moved elsewhere. Sorry, but I think the people in charge better take formal complaints seriously.

Went in middle of the day and was helped promptly and professionally by the attendant. Great selection of balls, clean approaches and easy to use lanes. Might even come back tomorrow it was that great. One of the best bowling centres I’ve been in!

Awesome place to bowl. My friend and I made some friends at the pool table the staff offered to us for free while we waited for our lane. In my opinion the staff went above and beyond to provide exceptional service that is both memorable and fun

Great time for 6 of us 3 adults and 3 youth. You can play by rounds or time. We have not played for a while but had lots of fun. It's bowling, lots of hand eye coordination and memory. P.S You should not try it, you may have FUN !

They are great and you can pay per game or by the hour. And they have leagues going all year. . Only thing I complain about is there seats are to close to the table's so if you are a large person you would have to sit at a table.

I loved going here, both staff (Evan and Tyler) were super kind and helpful. I was offered the light ball without even asking which was awesome because I really needed it. Super well priced. Would definitely come back!

Tried to book a game but whoever was on the phone was super rude. I wanted to ask about the prices, the man simply told me he was too busy and to call later then hung up on me. Really ruined my evening.

Under new management. It used to be my favourite place to bowl, we went frequently. The new manager displays discrimination. Even their signs displayed disrespect. I will take my business elsewhere.

Excellent value. Friendly staff who helped accommodate special needs and offered additional help where possible. Regular 10 pin and glow bowling in the same venue. Will return again for sure

We just had a birthday party here and it was excellent. The service was awesome and so accommodating. And the price was excellent! If you need a place for a kid’s party. This is the place!!

Terrible rude staff that laughed and had an "inside joke" about my daughter and I. The place was old and grungy and not worth the money. Also the balls are too heavy for young children.

It was a very different experience compared to the 5 pin bowling! 10 pin bowling is much more entertaining, and the balls are much bigger and easier to use! Would recommend to anyone!

This is a really clean, well run facility. The staff are friendly and attentive. There are 14 lanes of 10 pin bowling. All lakes have fully automated scoring.

They run a pretty smooth joint. And it was fairly busy when I went on Friday evening which was nice actually. It had some atmosphere. Yall should header down

Canada drops its travel restrictions, and in the same week LaVérendrye turns away a bunch of school children from bowling because they're not vaccinated.
