Greetings, fellow spacefarers! Join me on my journey to Flushing Main St's Latin Bakery, a culinary mecca offering an intergalactic array of delectable Spanish cuisine. While I found the quality of their chicken empanadas to be somewhat erratic, my taste buds were enraptured by the mouth-watering cheese croissants, a celestial pairing with a piping hot cup of coffee. As we land our spacecraft and disembark onto the busy streets of Flushing, we should be mindful that parking can be a challenge, with metered spaces at a premium. However, the promise of culinary exploration is well worth the extra effort. As we step inside, the intoxicating aroma of fresh-baked pastries fills our nostrils, inviting us to partake in the bounties of this culinary universe. While the consistency of the chicken empanadas may have been variable, the cheese croissants are a true standout, with their delicate layers of flaky pastry and creamy filling transporting us to new realms of gustatory delight. Though parking may be a challenge, I implore you, fellow adventurers, to join me on this epicurean odyssey and discover the wonders that await at Flushing Main St's Latin Bakery. Bon voyage!

Food is good. Pretty standard for Spanish food. But after been to this place for about 3 times, I realized that the staff does not like Chinese customers. The service staff was good the first time, but the second and third time, the attitude is quit cold. I order #16 which is on the wall with other pictures. No special order. Just like the picture. they charged me $27. I hesitated for one second, didn't say anything. The counter girl said "you want the chicken right" loudly. (Yes, if course I want the chicken, it's on the picture!) So $27 kinda expensive but I paid and gave $2 tips. I went to the restaurant another time and found that they have a printed menu on the counter so I took one and found that #16 is actually $18.95. The location is convenient for me or I definitely will not go there anymore since I don't feel welcome there.

I was very dissappionted by the bad experience today. I went there several times. I loved the bread there and the price was good. I tried to be humble and polite each time I was there. Some cumtomers helped me out for the names of the bread also. I felt happy. But today I found that there were no price labels, and no bread names. The prices were much higher than before! Further more they charged me one more bread. After I asked a worker to clarify the total price. She returned me 1.5 dollar without explanation. I felt not welcomed there. I felt very bad.I trusted them but got discrimination as a return.I won't go there anymore. I should be careful in future.

Big Restaurant with free parking lot in Flushing, open till 2am !! - Signature Dim Sum - ***************************************************** On weekend it was super busy.A lot of cars parked out back in the convenient free parking lot. Best time for lunch or dinner is during the weekdays. This Restaurant has huge space inside for private banquet catering. I had heard from quite a few friends that this Restaurant had good dim sum so I was excited to try. Dim Sum is great! In addition to the typical variety of dim sum dishes being carted around they also had seafood with pan fried noodle dish. Very yummy! Go just for the food.

You are going to find a lot of people who speak Spanish here and their food is ok. Most of the dishes for lunch are chicken or fish with salad, rice and beans. But the size of each dish from the menu is bigger than the common portion. So I recommend to share it .Think about a Big Mac combo if you can finish that, then don't share your plate. Every dish takes 20 minutes to be prepared so be patience. Also there are different types of latinoamerican bread. You can find the famous "Concha" ( sweet bread from Mexico ) but all of the food there have a big size. I really recommend to taste one of their breads. So delicious !!!.

You can't rush perfection. This place makes the most delicious tostones I've ever had in my life. I could write sonnets about their tostones. I don't know what they do differently, but they taste like carnival candy. There's zero taste fatigue. They're consistently amazing from first to last bite. I want to propose to the person who makes them. Their chicken is pretty good, too. I can't have any of their bread stuff because I'm gluten intolerant now but omg, those tostones. You gotta just go have them. You will see God. I love this place so much.

I've been living in Flushing for few months and so far this is the only Hispanic good place I know so far. The place is always full for the same reason is the only Colombian restaurant in blocks. I like the coffee that they make most of the girls who work there are nice and fast. I don't think their food is expensive I go there weekly for the same reason is good food for a good price. The only thing I don't like is the space that is a little bit small they have a lot of customers I hope in the future they will have a bigger space.

This is a much-needed addition to the New World Mall food court. Personally, I prefer this one to the other one, as it is cleaner and appears to be more well maintained. I haven't tried all of the booths yet, but the fish dumplings from one of the middle stalls were pretty good. Happy Lemon serves good drinks, although the wait time can be long. My only complaint is that the ma-la smell can be overwhelming at times, because so many stalls serve it (ma-la xiang guo and ma-la tang).

Love sometimes sometimes the food is great sometimes are not that wow but inflation making things spensive one day pooors will not eat Thanks giving but hang up the chef please they give me turkey lunch with a lot stuffing nasty flavor one piece of turkey with tiny meat size alot rice alot potato flavor was not liked what a deception on this holidays kik that chef I will help you to have a better restaurant let me know I found a cable to tide turkey incredulous

  • Maria Biramontes

What a disappointment! Have eaten here before and the food was decent, but now not at all. Went on a Wednesday night to pick up dinner and it was horrible. The chicken meal was mainly rice and it was dry. What they serve as plátano maduro (sweet plantain) was not ripe or sweet. It was dry and hard. The steak and onions was cold. The soup was all potatoes and it was a lentil soup. It's a shame anyone thinks this is good latin food. It is not.

  • Ebony Chisholm

Food was.good especially the beans and salad but to me its kind of expensive. 20 bucks for roasted chicken in rice in beans with a salad that's kind of expensive, any other place you can get a 10 or 12 dollar plate. Also we are in America alot of the menu was in Spanish no fair it should be in English, also I ask for chicken soup in they didn't have she said only on Wednesdays that was disappointing its winter time in its cold....

  • Carmen Melendez

Why does this place never have any cheese empanadas? I came here five times and they never have any. This is disappointing for the only Latin restaurant in Downtown Flushing. The place itself is nice and clean and i used to buy soup here for family years ago. They had the best-tasting cheese empanadas back then. I'll give this restaurant 5 stars when i can actually walk out of there with a bag of cheese empanadas.

  • Doc

I ordered $70 worth of food but when I get home, I find that an order was missing. I call back to tell them and all I get was a "call back later in the evening for the boss to check the camera." I had also ordered a papaya drink and the cup was half full!!! This place is the absolute worse and I'm so disappointed with them as they where once one of my go to places to eat. I can no longer support this business.

  • Pablo L Sánchez

A hole in the wall yes, but the best Spanish food in Flushing Queens and great employees service hands down! Been a loyal customer for 20 yrs. Their “pan con queso” (baked bread stuffed w/ cheese), chicken or spinach empanadas are just some of my favorites! They cook fresh meals daily from soups, stews, rice/ beans, rotisserie chicken, fish, beef, etc. New Yorkers take the trek to this fantastic restaurant!

  • Abby Gonzalez

I have been going to this bakery ever since I was a little girl. I absolutely love the empanadas and the cakes This place has amazing food too! However, recently there was a woman working there and she had a nasty attitude! I waited 1 hour for her to finally give me the cake I ordered! However, other than that, this place has various Hispanic cakes and food that is delicious! Highly recommended!

  • DR iCE Mind (dr_ice_mind)

Nasty lunch full of stuffing when ad say turkey lunch but what I got was a tiny meat with a bunch of stuffing with bad flavor this place need to improve services and prices they charge me 21 for a lunch and what I got was bad I found on the meat that was transparent a cable for tide turkey nasty mad my day I trust my money to eat turkey and I get no turkey meat incredible

  • Samantha Tishova

Best Colombian bakery I've found in Queens! Pan de bono is amazing, rotisserie chicken is always juicy, and the fresh juices are great! They are close to my house and easily accessible for me. There is limited seating but the ladies behind the counter are always friendly and accommodating. They only take cash but they do have an ATM handy. Will go back for sure!

  • Tito Juarez

Pretty fast service today. French bread is great. Should make more as it is finished early. Friendly service. 5 if you make more bread to last all day/evening. Soups are either "not yet" or "no more" throughout the day. You have to get there at the right time as they make a limited amount, same as the French bread. …

  • glass steel

this place is absolutely disgusting. The food is awful. They should be shut down... the food is dirty and of the lowest quality... $20 for a bunch of lettuce the most disgusting beans I've ever seen , a steak that was cold & rubber like Straight thieves that should be sent back to the ahole they came from

  • Sha Mara

Went to this store as per coworker recommended ( she's latina BTW) bought some variety of pastries so i can taste it ( i love sweets) so i thought this will be awesome but at the end it was okay! I bought one of my fav FLAN but unfortunately it was okay! Sad to say i tasted somewhere else better!

  • Anshul Augnivansh

I loved this bakery. Super cheap. Each piece of cake was for just $4. I took the chocolate, strawberry and the coconut cake. All three of them tasted unique with different level of sweetness and texture. The size was definitely too big to be consumed alone so definitely get someone with you!!

  • Belkis Shakira

I think its good I love there empanadas and choclos de maiz. The delivery takes FOREVER!!! that's honestly a bummer. Last time I called and they just left me on hold and never came back. So I would recommend just going directly to the store, Other than that I would say its okay.

  • Chanjoo Moon

Went there and asked for a ham and egg breakfast sandwich..apparently the kitchen was closed and I didn't see a ham and egg sandwich on the menu..but they made one! Big sandwich..delicious bread, lots of egg and ham...most places do not have such generous portions. Great meal!

  • steven diaz

They can't even make black tea with milk. Lady filled up the cup with hot milk and put teabag in it, without adding any water. I had to literally explain step by step how to make the tea. What kind of bakery is this where they can't make a tea. Plus they don't speak English

  • Sharon McDonald

The baked goods are freshly made. Sometimes still warm from the oven. Always find something different. Attendees are friendly and courteous. Lunch is delicious, hot and more than generous for the price you pay. You will not regret your decision to go here.

  • Maryanne Baker

Little hidden gem on main street! I didnt discover this spot until about a year ago but if you get off near the library it doesnt hurt to stop in for a morning pastry! I bought 2 empanadas for breakfast and the taste brought me back to abuela's kitchen!

  • z z

Finding this location wasn't all that difficult, getting off the 7 train. You actually go downstairs, and you find yourself a basement with stalls of eateries and little stores. Just look for the #37 and you'll be there. Seating is limited, ...

  • Tania

Everything I go to buy something things is a little more expensive. I think they rise the prices every week to every item the food it seems like old food all the time. The cholesterol is huge BE CAREFUL. Always a line because they are so slow.

  • Wen Wang

I love their soups and specials, which are generously proportioned. My only complaint is the sitting area is small and always occupied, but if you are patient and don’t mind sharing a table, you will have no problems finding a seat to dine in.

  • Raymond Persaud

I went in to order (3/30/22)a bacon cheese burger with no fries. They said that it cost the same without. Okay ill take it. A frozen burger patty doesn't take 35 minutes to cook. After sitting there for 20 minutes I inquired about my

  • Kevin Castrillon

One of the few colombian bakers left in flushing. It has many types of bread, cakes, empanadas and real spanish food. There chicken is good and there soups are always great for colds. They have a atm inside so you can pay in cash.

  • Eric Chen

If your not hispanic don’t bother coming here. They’ll just ignore you till another hispanic patron points out why you never took their order. On top of the non existent service the food was terrible. Dry and old empanadas.

  • M MM

A simple neighbourhood latino diner. Tried out the steak breakfast with coffee. About $17. Huge portions. I find it tasty despite the other’s review. Went on Saturday morning. Place was full. Will definitely visit again

  • Erin Campbell

*cash only* and so glad that we had cash on us. Got the lunch special (1/2 chicken, rice, beans and salad) and empanadas (beef and chicken). All very good and great prices. Will definitely be back if in the area again!

  • Natalia Turiano

The food is always good. Good service. The only thing I don't like is that there is a little problem with parking. It's meter parking and is always full. Other than that, good. We personally love the rosterie chicken.

  • Jacob Godoy

They're food is very good. Four stars because from time to time it comes out a bit salty. They're bakery goods are great as well. Personally like they're large cheese bread with a cup of Colombian hot chocolate.

  • SS

Great customer service equally great food. Empanadas are a little pricey but well worth it. The best oven baked chicken empanadas I have tried anywhere. This place is small and usually packed and its cash only.

  • David Martinez

I was going to sit down down at the table to eat breakfast. A lady got there and put her stuff on the table and she didn't let me eat because she said she sits there because she is operated. Very disrespectful

  • Eliza (El)

Used to be way better. Used to get their chicken and dessert cakes. Now it doesn't taste the same and seem they cut down on cost and lowered the ingredient quality. Cash only place. Convenient and fair price.

  • Paul Biramontes

OMG...what a total disappointment..I've eaten here before and the food was good. This time the counter lady was annoyed and the food below mediocre. The place is rundown too . The baked good where palletable

  • Ingrihana Pe

  • Daniel Carlo

A small shop with a few tables. Not much in decor but food is good. There baked goods are typical Latin, different breads and pastries all good. Ask for lunch special it's until 3pm. Enjoy.

  • Ken Scott

  • Miguel Gomez

Very good beef and cheese empanadas. it reminds me of the empanadas I had during my visit to Colombia last summer. Sometimes the line can get a little long during the afternoon.

  • Gina Lindo

This used to be a great spot for empanadas but now they are not good. Crust is weirdly sweet and filling is blah. Staff is still nice, but food is not... hence the two stars.

  • Jose Solis

I will definitely recommend a lot of people to come to this place they're beautiful succulent roasted pigs and rice and pastries are so delicious I definitely give it 5 stars

  • thelepleyfamily
