I do not recommend Levy and Sons! My mother in law has done business with them for years, but this time I had to intervene because they were completely taking advantage of her. She had a new Dave Lennox Signature Collection system installed in 2018, to the tune of 18k. During that time she signed up for Levy and Sons maintenance contract. Now in 2023 she is replacing the indoor coil. I get it, things fail, but that is not the issue here. Levy and Sons quoted her $3646 to replace it UNDER WARRANTY. I reviewed the quote and one item was listed twice with a price of $1320 each. I reached out to Levy and Sons for clarity. I was not able to speak with someone but was told they would call me back. Despite that they called her instead of me. I finally got in touch with Joseph. He explained that the quote with the duplicate item was an error, so he sent a new one. The new quote had the same item but the cost was adjusted to $3600. I ask for further clarity and he could not explain to me why the cost of labor to install a part under warranty was so high and why the 15% discount on repairs because she is maintenance contract subscriber was not listed. He offered no logical clarification. Everything was a pass the buck situation. Aside from the financial piece, their customer service is terrible. The part is on back order, but the system is still functioning, just leaking. The did not offer her the solution of adding Freon to keep her cool until the part came in. I was able to secure another company for her that was, and will continue to, keep her cool while the part is on backorder. And most of all at a savings of 3k! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Update: Manager reached out and had someone come out to fix the problem again. This time the plumber used a camera and was more communicative as to what he was doing/seeing. He found the cause of the problem this time. I will say, I feel much better about Levy & Sons after this visit and would feel comfortable recommending them. Changed my rating. Had Levy & Sons out 45 days ago to snake our main drain. They had to get there from the roof and charged over $600, which I thought was over priced for 45 mins of work, but they got the water flowing. They did not use a camera though to figure out what was going on, which I thought was weird especially since our house is old and we have 50 ft trees near the house. Anyway, 45 days later, we have the same clogged main in the same spot. When I called, they told me it's out of warranty and would cost another $600. I felt robbed. I see a lot of good reviews, but I'd caution you to pick someone that cares enough to check the root cause of an issue and stand behind their expensive work.

Alec was kind and professional and on time. Unfortunately I mostly interacted with Elias and he was pushy and did not listen to me. He said my entire unit need to be replaced, which is fine bc I knew it was old. But kept telling me my unit was unsafe and obsolete (but I had someone come the next day and repair it for less than $250 and tell me it had 2 more years left). I told him repeatedly that I would not make a decision, especially about buying a whole new unit, without discussing it with my husband. Elias would not let this go and continued to pressure me. The report he gave us simply listed the age of our unit next to each problem. He told me the coolant for this system would be over $400/lb, but I was able to get it for $167 from the place that repaired my unit. It also said that there was a leak in our system, but the other company did not find a leak on the inside or outside unit. Then the quotes he sent for a new unit were astronomical. I don’t know about the company, but my dealings with Elias were horrible!

We called on a Friday to say our house flooded and would like someone to come out. They were to come began 8-12 Monday. They showed up at 230 and didn't even let us know they'd be late. We had to call them. The tech who came was very nice but said they'd have to get a part. Left for several more hours. When he came back he said he had cleared a clog and that's why the house flooded. IMMEDIATELY after he left the house flooded again. He came back said he must have not gotten it all. Charged us 400 dollars and said we need to dig and change out pipes. He said we'd have quote tomorrow. We called for days. The people who answered calls had no idea what to tell us. There were no notes in the system. A week later i was told they are busy and they still don't know. ?? No communication about being late. Reflooded my house. No communication about our quote. Awful experience. Would not recommend at all. You are just a number here, very poor quality service and professionalism

Luke was dispatched for routine 6 month HVAC ecosystem health inspection, and the brought the most comprehensive observations and heightened capacity to communicate them we've experienced in more than a decade with Levy & Son Service Experts. He welcomed me to stay at his side throughout the equipment inspection so that he could point out details showing wear and tear. Far from alarmist, Luke offered great perspective on how much time we had to address the underlying issues for these warning signs, how much we can expect to pay as well as the contributing factors and subsequent impact of areas that were in need of improvement. Furthermore, Luke shared his thoughts about our water heater next to the HVAC even though it wasn't part of the scheduled visit for covered service. The trust and peace of mind he left me feeling today is reason for me to make Luke the first tech I'll request by name for future visits.

I was having my dryer serviced when the appliance tech noticed the overflow line outside dripping. He took me to the attic where the drip pan was almost full of water. I immediately called Levy and Son to see if someone could clear the line. They sent Joe and Jake to my home that afternoon. They checked the lines and sinks to understand where the clog was. Turns out the coils were clogged, so they cleared it out and even adjusted my drip pan so it sat flat (it was tipped slightly, which I thought was how it was supposed to be!). Joe also checked my filter to make sure that looked good. They were very professional and took care of the issue. I feel so much better knowing that within a few hours of finding something that needed to be checked, the issue is fixed before it turned into a more major repair! Thank you for the great service!

Just wanted to say I've always had prompt, professional and friendly service from Levy & Sons, and today was exactly that. Since moving into my current home I have had Levy & Sons replace all of the HVAC systems and have been extremely satisfied with their work. Today Dago and Elias arrived promptly to perform our quarterly maintenance. They were so friendly and even changed the air filters that I had purchased last week and had not yet gotten around to changing them out myself. After they were done they went over their report, explained it thoroughly and reassured me that I was ready for the up coming winter months. Thanks for always taking such good care of us, we really appreciate doing business with good honest people. Good job Dago and Elias, Keep up the good work!

I was off work so it was a convenient time to have a service call. As such, I called Levy and Sons who were able to get a service pro out the next day. Dago visited and was here promptly at 8:00, and conducted an assessment and review of the layout. Subsequently, all systems were checked out and serviced. Dago reviewed the work, renewed the service contract. Additionally, Dago asked if we had any concerns and was able to discover an issue with a digital thermostat. Dago was professional, courteous, and even placed clean covers over hai shoes to prevent any water being tracked in from the rain. We would be happy to have Dago visit again to provide the great service we have come to expect from Levy and Sons.

My A/C broke down this past Saturday. Called Levy early evening to see if they could send someone to my house as it was 86 deg inside. They gave me a Sunday 12-4pm slot, great. Unfortunately, they were busy on Sunday, which I understand and I was a late addition to their schedule, so they didn't make the slot.... but... Fred did eventually show up at 8:30pm which I was grateful for! Poor man, working in the dark after an already long, hot day with a head lamp on, but he figured out the problem (capacitor) and got my A/C unit working so that I could sleep comfortably Sunday night and not have to take time off work on Monday to meet someone. Really appreciate your efforts and professionalism, Fred!

Levy and Son is #1 for your HVAC needs. The technicians are professional, personable and knowledgeable. They are helpful with information about maintenance of the system for longevity. I had an a/c issue during the summer, but today I received my scheduled 6 month check which is necessary for the new efficient systems. Alejandro Ayala will be my go to maintenance technician for life! He’s an Angel with a Super Hero cape under the Levy and Son banner. He represented the best of what your company promotes. I could talk to him about everything. He offered many helpful solutions and tips! Give him a raise! Lol! Thank you very much for the great service rendered today!

I hate to leave a bad review, but I had a service expert come out to look at my hvac system that wasn’t fully cooling. The mechanic said I would need to replace two parts that totaled around $1100. Got two second opinions from other companies. One telling me the parts the Levy & Sons Mechanic said needed replacement were working perfectly and did not need to be replaced. The third company’s mechanic said the same thing and that the unit just needed more coolant and to be flushed out, which only cost me $150. Not sure if it was an oversight on Levy & Son’s mechanic, but it definitely has me skeptical to try them again.

I had Levy & Son out today to service and flush my tankless heater. As it happens my hot water pipe going into my house failed last night. The joint and all the piping was pex connected with Sharkbite fittings done by prior home owner's plumber. Bryan from Levy & Son came out not knowing about the issue that just came up and did a fantastic job explaining to me the cause and how to prevent it from happening again. In under 2 hours he flushed my tankless, redid my piping and the uninsulated pictures show how well it was put together. I would highly recommend Levy & Son and next time I will be asking for Bryan by name.

I’ve called three times to get a detail itemized bill for services that was rendered; and services that need to be rendered; so that I could give it to my insurance company as of today still have not received a call back nor a new invoice from the technician. I paid for a diagnostic test didn’t get the report on that- I paid to get the another service done - Very frustrating was out of $775 and I still have the same issue. Costly Lesson learned. They was also over a hour late; I was emailed it was one person two arrived then I get a email telling me two technicians after they arrived. Beware of the overcharging.

They will not use parts provided by the customer and only noticed on the last minute. They are trying to sell us overpriced parts, and none of the reviews mentioned that. I got my parts from the best wholesalers, but I wish they had trained their employees properly on the policy and used bold letters on their website, not a last-minute stranding situation between their parts or no service. I am in a good position of comparing companies. Imagine running an exotic system that is not working in the heat of the summer and agreeing on a service but having it canceled at the last minute(or be ready to pay big $$$).

This is my first experience with this company and I can honestly say I was impressed on how each person handled their duties. From booking the appointment to working around my schedule. The service Tech, Michael arrived early and was honest and knowledgeable on explaining every step taken to assure my system would be working properly through the upcoming summer. Michael informed me he will be reaching out to me in a few days to secure the additional information I requested. Satisfied with the level of service and hope to continue a business relationship in the future.

Our AC stopped blowing cool air on a 100 degree day- called Levy & Son on a recommendation and was able to get a tech out that evening to confirm the capacitor was bad. Kevin did a great job, he was very friendly and knowledgeable, and though he didn't have the correct size capacitor on his truck to replace mine during the initial visit, he was able to rig a workaround up to get it cooling at least until the correct components were available for a proper fix. Excellent technician and I will definitely keep Levy & Son in mind for future HVAC needs

I recently had a whole home HVAC replaced by this team and they did an outstanding job. Specifically, Luis and Jesus on the install, assisted by Joe and Fabian estimating and putting it all together. The equipment is great, obviously an upgrade and it is quiet and keeps my home cool. Luis and Jesus were amazing. They were very professional and worked as hard as anyone I've ever seen. Everything they did was quality and detailed. They paid attention to routing, hanging, where the made cut outs, kept my home spotless, etc. I couldn't ask for more.

A pair of technicians came by and mentioned a $193 diagnostic fee. When I inquired about the $99 service fee, they abruptly left without providing any clarity, suggesting I contact the HVAC company that installed my unit. It seems their priority might be profiting from replacement units rather than assisting with repairs. Their demeanor implied they were the only ones capable of handling my unit in town. On the upside, they didn't charge me the $99 trip fee, so I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1.

Jared has been my special AC technician since day 1 about 9+ years. He is so knowledgeable about the AC system and has passion for what he does. He cares about his customer and will go above and beyond to help his customer. Jared installed both units for our house and I have been requested him every year to maintain my units and performing the annual maintenance because we trusted him and his skills and recommendations. He is the best! Levy & Son is lucky to have a loyal employee like Jared.

Zac and Alec did an excellent job. I asked them to check two items on this semi-annual a/c check. They were professional and personable. They wore covers over their shoes to protect our carpets and took them off once outside and then put them back on when coming back inside. They arrived later than expected, but with this Texas heat it was not a problem for me and I respect that they need to do a good and complete job for others as well as my home. Highly recommend this company.

Can't say enough good things about Glenn and Jason who installed a new tankless hot water heater. The old unit had to be removed and disconnected from our unfinished attic. The new unit had to be installed in a closet. It was a difficult job, with all the unexpected challenges of an older home. They burned the midnight oil to finish the job as promised so that we could take hot showers before bed. Will be requesting them for our next plumbing issue.

Titus and Allan first came to our home for a maintenance check. We signed up for membership at this time. Brian and his trainee came next and found trouble with tubes leading to our Hot water heater. He recommended a new water heater and share information about the Advantage Program. We joined… Joseph V. came out today, explained again the Advantage Program and got us set up for the installation of the new Hot water Heater. Good service!!!

Update: The company reached out to us and made it right. They refunded a sufficient amount that will easily allow us to hire a carpet cleaner to have our carpet steam cleaned. Thanks!! Technicians came to our house to replace the wax seal on a toilet and got wax all over our carpet in our master bedroom. Left a giant mess that took us over an hour to clean. 10/10 would not recommend.

Had a clogged main AC line and a broken emergency line that leaked through the ceiling and walls. Brent and Thomas were on time, courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. They not only fixed the AC lines, but found another major leak under the kitchen sink as well as a bathtub and fixed those also. Even though it was late, they stayed and got the job done!
