I visited again after far too many years' absence and was rewarded as ever before. Nowadays the store offers both new books and good condition used books, of all subjects and genres. On a personal note, on that day I chanced to visit, I was doubly delighted, first to find available the proprietor Mr. Boilly -- my former supervisor at the University of Winnipeg during my time as an undergraduate student language lab monitor, marker and invigilator -- and second to find that while I was speaking to the charming young clerk of a favourite professor from the French department, Dr. Rodriguez, she had arrived in the shop to meet with Mr. Boilly on appointment. It was lovely to see them both and reminisce. J'ai visite encore une fois après avoir été absent tant d'années: j'ai été récompensé comme aux bon vieux temps. De ces-jours-ci La Librairie À la Page vent et des livres et d'autres choses neufs et des livres de bonne qualité ou mieux usés, tous représentant diverses genres et sujets. En tant que réflexion personnelle, je voudrais remarquer qu'à l'après-midi quand j'ai hasardé y aller, je me réjouissais doublement. D'abord j'étais ravi de trouver présent et disponible le propriétaire, Monsieur Gérald Boilly, mon ancien directeur des labos de langage à l'Université de Winnipeg pendant mes jours d'étudiant quand je travaillais en moniteur des labos, corrigeant des devoirs, et invigilator de quelques examens. Ensuite, en parlant avec la jeune bouquiniste tout à fait charmante Alysse, je racontais une mémoire d'une professeur très géniale et bien aimée du fac Français à l'Université de Winnipeg aussi, Dr. Liliane Rodriguez, seulement pour tourner la tête et trouver qu'elle y est arrivée pour se retrouver M. Boilly! C'était un grand plaisir de les revoir les deux et de passer quelques minutes en remémorer et bavarder.

La plus part des ses livres viennent d’un époque avant La Libération D’êtas-Unis par leur guerre de Confédérâtes … l’écriture en anglais et français est toujours dans la style Mille Huit Cent. Thank you for Business that be open pendant le COVID Restrictions.

went in to ask if they also purchased books, but the owner was very rude about it, bragged about how he had a basement full + that i should give my books away if i wanted to get rid of them... very unprofessional when i asked nicely... won't go back

They have various sections: Social and natural sciences; fiction is large. Section of books in French. They have a good deal of 2 for 1 books or 50% off penciled prices. 2 hr parking right in front of store.

Can always find something here. Staffs are kind and helpful. Non-fiction section and English is a smaller section. Located in a French neighborhood so a lot of French books. Nice neighborhood to walk around

Not a place for organizing.. The staff didn't bother to help me look... just pointed to the section and went back to reading. Cheap books though.
