I was surprised to find some negative reviews here. My sister and I attended the Disney Animation Immersive Experience at the Lighthouse Artscape in San Antonio yesterday afternoon. And we really ❤️ it ! It is true that you do feel like you are watching a medley of Disney movie highlights projected onto walls around you. The actual immersive experience lasts about 45 minutes. But we really liked how we could step on the carpet within the actual immersive experience itself and the light projections would make the carpet look like it rippled along with our footsteps ! Both kids and adults around us absolutely loved the actual bubbles that were released with song clips/scenes from "The Little Mermaid ‍♀️" and "Frozen 2 ❄️⛄️” ! But we're not sure if the Immersive Experience slightly differs from city to city. Prior to stepping through the Blue Portal for the immersive experience itself, there is a decent-sized ante area where you can see some character models, take some photo ops with Steamboat Willie and an “Encanto ” backdrop, learn to draw ✍️ your favorite characters, and read some interesting exhibit displays about the Art of Character, the Art of Effect, etc ! Overall, we would say that this was a pretty good deal for the price we paid ! For the last showing of the afternoon (which was the 4 pm slot on a Sunday), and because we used the limited time discount of 25% off, altogether (with taxes + the $13.98 booking/service charge), we paid a total of $78.90 for the two of us. That might seem like a lot for 2 people and it might understandably be, depending on what people are looking for with their admission. But I saw the Van Gogh ️ Immersive Experience with a friend in Los Angeles back in November 2021, and that cost substantially more. We paid about $60 per person for Van Gogh and the immersion experience lasted only about 35 minutes. It was overpriced and the concept of Van Gogh was depressing since his life was depressing. At least, the Disney immersive experience is much more lighthearted and I personally felt like it was a better experience ! Since I saw Van Gogh in Los Angeles, Disney was my second Immersive experience. But it was my sister's very first Immersive experience !

It was our first time here. Location is closer to downtown but is not a prime location. Is next to an under developed neighborhood and entrance is just meh. Is is literally an old warehouse with dirt parking lot wrapped to look better. Be lucky if the train doesn’t stop because you won’t be able to get out of the parking lot. We paid for the premium tickets which offered a cushion, a wristband and a Disney print. The wristband was cool since it synchronizes with the music and show; the print it’s cute and on a frame will look better; the cushion left a lot to desire. It’s so thin that you forget about it. The show itself is designed for kids but adults enjoyed it too remembering the their childhood movies; the floor interacts with the kids movement. They show projections along the walls and floor of all Disney movies; old and new. They played great music but missed a huge opportunity with famous songs from Frozen, Moana or Encanto. At the end of the show they have a forced souvenir store with counted items. On the other hand, great idea for setting up a drawing table where you can learn how to draw your favorite characters. Overall was ok. It looks like they want you to get in and out in one hour. The missed opportunities like a themed restaurant or other interactive activities. I don’t think is worth it for the price we paid. I will suggest to get to lowest price since you will the same experience.

Just an overall, really fun and inspiring experience. Good time for my kids, who are young and familiar with much of Disney's work. Outside of traveling to Florida or California, this was probably the next best thing we've seen. We've been to all of the local theme parks, gyms, and kids entertainment. The presentation—the music, lighting via projectors, the colors, the interactive "wish bands," bubbles, etc.--were stimulating. Really cool. The drawing/sketching area is a nice touch, too. The hospitality we received from management and staff was second to none. They took good care of us and we recommend this spot for families. There's something for everyone here and its fun to see all of the kids get into it. The only downside is we wished the show ran longer! So fun, it seemed like it went by too fast. Thank you!

Management Staff was very rude and unfriendly. Everybody was on there phones too busy to answer questions. The show was in a small room with lots of people running and kids yelling. Family really couldn't enjoy the show. People mentioned bubbles but their was none. In the gift shop I bought an item open it in the car for it to be broken I went inside to exchange and it told me everything was as is no refunds or exchange. Tickets were very over price per person with such a very small venue. I would not recommend this as a fun place. I would rather waste my money at Legoland or the aquarium down the street at River Center Mall.

Approximately one hour Disney experience that was entertaining but not worth the price paid for tickets. VIP tickets were $90 each plus significant fees not noted until after credit card transaction is authorized. Included a cushion to sit on but was from Van Gogh exhibit...so the kiddos were not pleased. Also included "interactive wristband" that had some glowing lights...though not clear what the the interaction was. I would value the experience generously at $20.

I’ve been here twice for two different shows, the nutcracker and Disney. It was a great experience both times. It’s about an hour long each time. It’s something to do if you have kids. What I liked about the Disney show was the bubble show they had. They have a cute gift shop with many items to choose from. They also have a concession stand as well. I would go back if it was an exhibit that I was interested in again.

Lighthouse ArtSpace Disney Family, including kids, loved the entire experience. The videos displayed beautifully, good audio, and the added effects of moving floor lights and bubbles in the air was fantastic experience! The story of blending the different Disney stores together was done great. On the way in, the Disney displays, character marquette/statues and photo opportunities was incredible to see.

Experienced the Van Gogh art show. We got the full package. I wouldn't recommend it. Bring your own cushion since you have to return at the end of the show. Also, not really much of a cushion either. The shop was great with a sale of 75%. Now, with everything, I said the experience was fun. Just do the least expensive one, save the money to make purchases at the shop.

My 4 year old loves Disney and she was so excited and was in all with the show. She said "wow mommy its so magical." I loved the way she lit up and to see her smile with all the light. The lights on the floor she loved. She wanted to stay longer and dance more.. So thank you for a wonderful show. I hope yall have more showings in the future maybe do one for Halloween or for the holidays.

This was my second time going to the ArtSpace in San Antonio. Did the Van Gogh exhibit and now Disney. Both times, it was pleasurable. Space was cooled but not cold. The amount of customers at any given time was low enough so you did not have to sit on tip of others. Music was load enough to be engaging and not head ache inducing. Overall, a great experience.

Parking isn't great, mostly gravel. The location looks sketchy but was surprisingly not as bad as it looks. Gift shop is overpriced, and not just by a little. Kids had fun, but as an adult, it's not as impressive. If you have kids, i suggest hitting up the Disney experience. For adult dates, the art experiences will be more worth it.

TAKE THE ADVICE OF THE LOW STAR REVIEWS. For $160 for 3 people, I thought it was more interactive than stepping on screens and bubbles. If I wanted to watch Disney clips I could have stayed home for free. We could have gone to the movies for $30, a nice dinner for $100, and still, have $30 to get drinks and dessert. I want a refund.

Justoved from Florida and am an avid Disney fan. Was excited to hear about this cute experience to feel & see some much needed magic. The staff was very friendly, they have snacks and souvenirs you can buy. The experience itself was cute, but I was expecting something bigger. I did enjoy it and would recommend this to others.

I really enjoyed the Disney experience. It was a big space, plenty of items to choose from as far as a souvenir goes, photo ops in the entrance. My knocked star is from the fact that they could benefit from better gravel for parking and a concrete pathway to the entrance. We went a day after it rained, and it was muddy.

I came 6 day ago. I freaking love it. It was awesome and amazing wonderful place to enjoy with family I came with my boyfriend and my 1yr old daughter and my laws. At first my 1yr old was scared because all the lights sound and people caused it was very loud but at end She was getting comfortable and wondering around Walking and start screaming like the other kids. I know for a fact she loved it. We would love to come again

I took my daughter to go see the Disney Immersive Experience and I couldn't believe how amazing it was. The lights, the sounds, and the interaction just made for the best day she ever had. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. Can't wait to see what exhibits they have in the future.

The Disney Experience was ok. Mainly projectors showing portions of Disney movies. Not even all the good ones. The Lion King opening song and little Mermaid Poor unfortunate souls and Pocahontas were the only good ones. The rest were hero 6, Rapunzel, frozen 2 (not even the original).

We enjoyed the Immersion Van Gogh exhibit. Recommend sitting thru at least 2 cycles. Thought it would be a little different, more interactive, but we ended up just sitting on a bench for one loop, then moving to a different bench with a slightly different view.

The Disney Immersive Experience was Awesome. This was A-Maze-ing! Ashlynn had so much fun. We laughed and had a good time too. If you can get to San Antonio or check out the other locations outside Texas, do it! It was well worth the VIP tickets too!

The advertising for the immersive disney is VERY misleading. Paid almost $400 to sit on the floor and watch trailers of disney movies. I'm not sure where the immersive part of the experience was. Well, once in awhile the bubble machine would shoot out bubbles so I guess that was meant to be the immersive part of it. But hey we got to keep the light up bracelet so there that.

  • Jenn Acosta

We took our 3yr old and 1yr old here for the Disney show and they absolutely loved it! The show itself was a little under an hour, so it was perfect for them. It's a little pricey but well worth it for an air-conditioned activity for the summer.

Went to the Disney experience at Lighthouse and it was really good overall. Their was a gravel parking lot for parking, the exhibit itself was the star of the day, the price was a bit too high for what I saw but the way Disney put on this overlay was really well done. I will be looking forward for the next experience at Lighthouse. More

Went to the Disney Experience. We had to sit on the hard floor for the 40-minute show because they only had a small number of two person benches to sit on, and they were already taken. Very lame for the money we paid for two adults and two kids.

Disappointed with the Disney show. Basically its just movie shorts playing on 4 screens. Bubbles were released twice, but overall under whelming. :( paid extra for premium entry, $200 for 3 of us. Dont upgrade, not worth it. The braclet is awful and so irrelevant, the poster was nice, but not worth the additional $$.

The family had a great time. Our daughter, who is now 3yrs.old, loved it, and was tired by the end of the show, she slept all the way back home. Thank you, from our family to your family

Didn’t show all of the Disney classics that make Disney “Disney.” Don’t waste your time if you enjoy Walt’s Disney. If you like “new Disney” then go. True Disney fans enjoy classic Disney.
