This is a Train Station. It depicts a lack of imagination. It menaces with spikes of concrete and steel. It is made with the most bland craftsmanship. It glows in the colour of in-progress construction. All vending caves contain either non-nourishing foodstuffs and unhealthy beverages or are concealed due to vandalism. You are not here to visit. You are here to go somewhere else. It is rated as it is due to it performing this function efficiently. The trains and buses are outside the scope of this review.

The industrial views I usually appreciate, however there is a distinct lack of aesthetic in the Lilydale skyline that imposes limitations on what could have been a picturesque vista. This is more an issue of the location itself, but sadly I must include this, as gazing longingly into the distance as a flamingo sunset fades into purple should offer so much more.. And yet is sadly framed by the monotonous metallic hues of contemporary metal panelling, gaudy advertising, and high-angle suburban ennui.

The station is good and we found ample parking. We parked our car overnight and it was safe. While travelling to Flinders Street station the train stopped at all stations but on the return journey it was a limited express so check the train details before getting on board. Via all stations take about an hour to reach Flinders Street and the limited express takes about 45mins. Travelled off peak at both times so the trains were pretty empty.

The chart said Bay I for Eildon but when looking at the map it only went up to Bay H I had to go to the service desk waited whilst two men ignored me and when one did come sarcastically gave me the answer as to where it was

Very reliable buses is usually early but always waits till the time it's ment to come wich is very good I I love it's such a cool place two stories the bottom floor's ground is pretty cool definitely a 10 out of 10

Modern and newly built elevated train station in Lillydale. If you are heading to Warburton catch the bus from the bay I accross the road. Being a tourist it's best to catch a 683 bus towards Warburton.

Stupidest , longest car park for a train station. You're better off driving past Lilydale to the next station because that's still quicker than the long walk from the end of the carpark

Has been redone and is lovely and functional. Only 1 bus stop a little bit off to the side. Otherwise pretty good as long as it keeps being looked after

For a new station it's pretty poor. Seats in the bus interchange area are a great place to get wet when it's raining, they have no cover over them.

New Lilydale train station opened 2021 and is done well, from a visitor point of view. The toilets are better and elevators are spacious.

It’s new so it’s the best it will ever be, graffiti won’t take long, when you honour vandalism in City lanes that’s why it grows.

Modern structure, easy to navigate, clean. Helpful staff when I lost something there.
