literally the worst service ever... Don't ever waste your time to go there... I dropped my clothes at 12am just for a dry as it was washed already... I called ahead to check if she was busy or not, was told i can drop off, got there and when my husband went in to confirm, he was told that we arent the only people phoning her. Anyway dropped it off and was told she would call when its done. Went to fetch it at 3pm because she closes at 4 and still had no call from her, when we got there i went in, waited outside and there was another customer inside who told her that I was at the gate as it was raining, she then said that I can wait she only has 2 hands. When she eventually opened up she said it's dry but not folded and the fold fee is included in the price so I can take it if I want but still going to pay the same amount. I said no problem I'll just wait in the car... I had my kids in the car thinking its not going to 20/30 mins. A hour later still not done. A white lady comes in and she 5 mins after I've been waiting for an hour and she starts folding her clothes. When I asked for my clothes because I've been waiting for an hour already. Then she has the audacity to tell me that her other customers take priority. I will never go back there again. Absolutely do not recommend anyone else goes and wastes their time. She doesn't even deserve 1 star.

No Professionalism, No people's skills and No respect for customers. I picked up my clothes today and the old lady sitting by the desk went totally off on my telling me I have no brains, like who does that when I customer is coming to collect his stuff. So I was outside by the gate and this old lady must open from the inside and I'm watching her pressing the button and then I'm pulling the gate to open but the gate just didn't want to open and she screaming at me and yet I've didn't even said a word to her yet. Eventually the gate open and at the time she trying to open the gate she was busy speaking on the phone and saying that "This people have no brains" While I'm inside she still screaming at me and I ask her "Lady why you being so loud" This idiot old lady sits on a phone, shouting at me for no reason, maybe for the gate that couldn't open but that's not my problem if she not pressing the button correctly from the inside. I advise no one to go to Lyn's Laundrette at no5 Gertrude street, Goodwood. No respect at all. I've seen previous reviews before I even went there and already I saw bad reviews about how rude this lady is but I still went there because it's close by and I support local but never again I'm taking my business there. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Do not ever go to this place! They give you one price then when you pick your laundry up they charge you four times the amount. Also the old lady is so rude and disrespectful telling us she will sell our washing. Then she also charges us extra for washing that we picked up a while ago because she saw a throw but forgot to tell us about it. She says it was a blue one which we don’t have Then we went to report her so we could get our washing back but she was very smart not to put a price on the pay slip. We then went to pick our washing up and she would not open demanding cash for it and not to pay with a card as she would not let us in as though we animals. I would not advise anyone to give themselves a headache by even taking your washing there as it’s just not worth it. What she did was so wrong and if she was nicer it would not have been an issue but to treat a client like that is unacceptable.

Got my husband driving up and down three times last week because the old lady couldn't estimate when our washing would be done due to loadshedding and complaining her back is sore and there water pressure is slow.The same thing happened again this week.I called and asked why she cannot give clients a call to say if their laundry is going to take longer because petrol is very expensive. She got annoyed with me then ofcourse we had a screaming match.I think this rude 69 year old granny should retire because after 20 years in the business it surely did something to her because she can't keep up with clients demands and she obviously lost her people's skills with age...please retire and give the job to a young unemployed person who obviously will have better people's skills than you.

I've been to many laundromats because I travel extensively and I'm extremely impressed with Lyns service as my clothes are immaculately clean and whites are super white and stain free!! Best of all clothes fragrance is a nice touch! Thank you very much deeply appreciated!

I recently started dropping my laundry here and I am so delighted, the clothes are clean, dry and folded perfectly. During this rainy season. Lyn's launderette is an absolute God Send. They really definitely deserve a five star. Keep up the great work you do …

Love this place. The old lady in the front desk is amazing and friendly. We always converse as if we've known each other for years. She's just great and ofcourse I'm always happy with my jackets ☺️.

Love the service - travel nearly 20 km's to get my laundry done and know a few people that do as well. Friendly, professional service - always delivering!

Price per KG is reasonable and the lady there very nice but there is rude staff also there. Washing was on time and smelt lovely. Folded well.
