Maybe the most attractive place of University of Birmingham is its main library. This golden modern building has added elegance with the natural beauty of campus. Lots of books with lots of study spaces are going to blow your mind. Library lounge is perfect for study, eating and talking. You’re definitely going to love this place.
The Main Library of the University of Birmingham was quite exquisite. A three storey building with several desktops and printers on each floor, the library of the University aids both physical and electronic learning, helping students with various learning preferences.
Have never read a book here but it's a very good place for studying. Has a clean design inside, with a lot of space and charging outlets at every desk as well as rooms that can be booked for group meetings. Only downside is that despite it
Have studied on the ground, 1st and 2nd floor. I studied at the University of Leicester for 5 years and went to University of Birmingham as an additional destination for studies; has always been a safe haven whenever I needed to go to the
This is the main Library of University of Birmingham. It’s very big and has enough space to accommodate students in peak hours. The book collection is marvellous , and I could almost find all technical books I needed. Food and drinks are
One star because too noisy. Students are talking to each others, making a phone call without caring other people ‘s feeling. Even on 3 floor! It is quite irritating especially when I am struggling with my homework or preparing my exams.
The new library is truly astounding, with a great low-priced cafe, and comfortable study areas throughout the levels, including several on the ground floor. University swipe card needed for entry. Loaning and returning books is all done
There are no signs anywhere, it's very difficult to know how to borrow or return books. It's even more difficult to find where the subject titles may be. There is a list at reception (Although reception isn't marked) which could be on
This new library is a nice addition to the university. It was sad to see the old library go but this new library is a significant upgrade. There are plenty of computers, study spaces and group study rooms. The design is aesthetically
Update-- honestly, its winter, you guys can turn off the AC anyday now... Beautiful library so far.. Can't enjoy it fully because of the covid restrictions but, it's a great study space
Very busy at most times, but also very large, so finding a quiet place to study shouldn't be a problem. Plenty of quiet study areas and a cafe to keep you going.
Nice layout - feels spacious. There's a dedicated room for postgrads, great cafe and friendly staff. There's also a good amount of computers and work space.
From a law student: love 24h library during term and exams, but the place is so busy at peak hours it's often not worth even checking for a desk.
many areas in the library are very cold! Now it also quite difficult to get in because you need to make reservation and it is often fully booked.
I think the uni library is great but the best thing is the staff. So helpful and will take the time to listen. Thank you so much guys. …
Perfect! One of the best universities libraries I have ever visited. The only thing we need here is a prayer room and more microwaves.
Great space to study. Good environment to be productivity even if it can get busy due to exam season or various other reasons.
Nice building and calm environment but not nearly enough seating. Don’t expect to find somewhere to work from March onwards.
Its pretty nice, just wish it were a little warmer sometimes, I'm often wearing my coat indoors. Cafe is really nice though!
An excellent library with a good variety of books and study spaces, laptop hiring facility, quiet study spaces for pg.
Beautiful learning atmosphere with spaces for all forms of studies; quiet room, small group and big group rooms.
Really nice and warm place, well managed with different areas for quite study. Staff are always very helpful.
Stunning library. Spacious although full of students. Great architectural design. Staff were friendly.
