Based on my family's experience with this business we do not recommend using them for veterinarian services. One of our family dogs has been experiencing lameness in her hind legs due to an issue with her back. Her symptoms are continually presented when she attempts to sit, stand up, or is touched on her hind legs or back. Our vet recommended bed rest and medicine to help with her pain. We investigated acupuncture and laser therapy. Our primary vet does not offer these services. We looked at location, commute, reviews, and the ability to treat our dog's specific ailment with acupuncture or laser therapy. We contacted the office over the phone. We confirmed an visit could be scheduled soon and we relayed our dogs’ condition and what treatments we were specifically seeking in great detail. We agreed to a consult and inquired about having the treatment done too. We were told this could be done if the pet's records were sent over. We scheduled the appointment. Our understanding was that our pet's needs which we explicitly communicated as our sole purpose for the visit would be documented accordingly. The day before the appointment we got a call from the office verifying that the appointment was still on. We made a point to ask that our vet had sent over the required records and to make sure we were set for the appointment. We reiterated the symptoms and desired treatment to make sure there were not any issues. Upon arrival we needed to let the office staff escort our dog into the office due to their COVID-19 policies, which were agreeable and understood. The staff member taking our dog informed us we would be called by the veterinarian once the exam was begun. After the exam was concluded we were called by a vet-tech which was counter to our expectation based off the previous staff members comment. The tech explained the vet identified pain the front legs and wanted to treat those findings. There was no mention of the back or hind legs. We restated that the issues were her back and hind legs and were told that they may not be presenting due to the pet being stressed. We said that we specifically identified the areas we were concerned about during previous conversations with the office and stated the records that were sent over contained the related data. The tech was asked if the records were reviewed and they stated that they only had the shot records, and nothing about her back/legs. Our understanding was the vet would be reviewing records which contained the previous diagnosis prior to the actual consult and would be able to treat. We would have considered additional findings if our primary concerns were addressed. Given that the records did not contain the previous diagnosis, that we had not spoken to the vet as we were told we would, and that our primary intentions for the visit were not met we told the tech over the phone we did not want to proceed with treatment. We asked to have our dog returned to us, and the tech told us she would have the vet contact us directly. The next call we received from the office was a request for payment. We stated that we had not yet talked to the vet, again, and that we wanted our pet returned. They again stated that they needed to have their invoice paid. This left a frustrating impression of the office. The staff was asked if they were holding our dog until they got payment, they responded "No." We stated that we had not talked to the vet, she was not treated, and we wanted her back immediately. The staff member said if we paid they would bring our dog. We paid and hung up. Our dog was returned about 5 minutes later. We at no point said we were unwilling to pay. This review was abbreviated due to character limitations in the post.

Not a good Vet. Only concerned with money not quality of care for people's pets. I was going there for my dog. They just don't care enough to do the job right. I was in the room with them and 3 people trying to do things with my dog and I have 10lb Jack Russel. I was in with Dr James and he hasn't seen my dog since but Dr Tiffany isn't any better. So 3 people on such a small dog 2 could not see what they were doing. Cut my dogs nails almost off how bad it was. Mistakes happen so caulked it up to that. I did say to them there you will never cut my dog's nails again. Here is the problem it is called recording customers events and instructions. THIS OFFICE REFUSE TO JUST DO THE BASIC BUSINESS OF RECORD KEEPING. So I have been back few times since then and each time tried to cut my dog's nails. NO!!! This last time I said don't touch her nails I do it. They did nothing else. I though they had done everything they were supposed, too. Plus was charged for something they did not do. No not with this Vet. 2 days later I get e-mail to bring dog in for more yearly vaccines. Not happy then to find out this Vet assistant say I refused. 1st I have to be asked and I was not, 2nd if you asked and I said no then why did you not record it. I did not refuse Vet tech flat lied I told her not to cut my dog's nails I would, nothing else was said. Plus didn't do other things as well, like checking her poop. So this problem is solely due to their failure to just record events in the file. Plus since my 2 + year old dog was going there I asked more than 6 times that in her younger years I don't need to come by 2 to 4 times a year, just once a year. They refused to record or do that as well. Plus most of us want to help animals don't ask this Vet. We had older cat someone just dropped off around the job. It was such a good act but had issue. We started feeding it but would sneeze blood. So after little while I took to this Vet, and she waited till another day to check on cat. So cost more just to put cat down humanely than it should for Vets convenience, stray cat. The issue is not recording basic records no this Vet can't do that they blame customer for asking for specifics on how my pet is taken care of. The Vet is aware but chose not to listen to understand the issue and the issue is how they do business. Plus I have ask Dr Tiffany directly more than once about my dog coming once a year not 2 days after I bring her in for yearly exam. I do not do this often but this action warranted the complaint. Not liking to complain I gave you the reason why so can get something constructive out of it. Hopefully but could not for 2 years so I don't know or will I not waste any more of my time or money with your office. I have file complaint with Dept of Business & Professional regulations. May be record keeping will then become important.

When I first went here there was another doctor. Then the second time they changed companies or administration. The second time I took my car in because she was not clean on the rear area like she was just not keeping up with herself. They gave her boosters and did a test of some sort then. Can back and said she just needs to lose weight. Now I went back because of suspected UTI and was over charged. Then told that the last visit she had elevated counts of something. They do not give the full story, expect to be there far longer than is needed, and be prepared to be over charged on simple things. Avoid this place. "Response to the Response" No the doctor Sanders does not go over all reviews. Dr. Gilbert was a better doctor than her. Second of all, Dr. Sanders swore she was not the last one that saw my cat and did not tell me anything about the tests, it had to be some other doctor, but the files shows I was right and she was. If the test in November showed elevated crystals she should have placed my cat on amoxicillin then, not have the cat form an very bad UTI and start to bleed, then go oh well we saw the elevated crystals back then. So she was trying to lie her way out of being responsible, or calling the client a liar. Also I found she gave my cat a catheter even though she never asked me if she was allows, she performs things without a clients say so. She is a very poor doctor. As for the price her whole excuse was due to different (human driven) machines. What a load of crock. The head vet should really think about lowering prices and get away from those excuses, and seriously think about replacing that doctor. There is no need to discuss this, I have already determined my cat is better off with a new vet. I do not like to be referenced as a liar, and I do not like the pet to be used for practice on unneeded procedures that was never discussed with me. Then there is the high priced service for such poor quality. Dr. Sander then states that she is a great vet because she has been doing it for 20 years and she can do no wrong. I am not the first I hear that has chosen a different vet because of this doctor. You should really seriously consider reteaching your staff manners, and how to tell the truth instead of trying to take advantage of pet owners.

I have used Mandarin Animal Hospital for many years. They have taken care of past pets and now my current dog. He was already considered an older dog when I adopted him and they have taken excellent care of him. This particular recent event, I really needed him seen that day and though they were booked, I was able to drop him off so they could attend to him between clients. I never feel rushed, never been made to feel like I'm ever asking stupid questions and there is a genuine concern for your pets AND the owner. They always make sure you leave feeling good and if by chance you forgot to ask something or can't remember what was said, they are never too busy to just call. They will listen to your concerns, healthwise and financially, and help you make the best decision. This time, I could have had more testing done but I was going to wait and see if the medication worked fully before spending more money. My dog had a UTI and a severe lack of appetite. If I didn't see an improvement then I would consider the other test. So, in other words, I could have had it all done then and there and know if other issues were at play immediately or wait. I elected to wait and the medications I got seemed to have done the job. I'm still monitoring him closely though. He'd dropped too much weight too quickly but he seems to gotten his appetite back and at his two weeks evaluation, I'll know if I need to do something else. For as long as they're in business, this will always be the place I will go for any pet needs. I can't recommend them highly enough and I believe once someone tries them out, they will be a customer for life as well. Too many people complain too much on any place or business but then not leave a wonderful review if they're happy. And I'm truly happy with this place.

I said at least twice during the visit that "I can't afford that." Just got my bill and they had done things (without asking) until my appointment for ONE vaccination turned into 170 dollars. Things like a "HomeCheck kit" were 6 dollars, a 12 dollar nail trim I never asked for (even though I explained that I was getting his vaccines so that I can get him groomed, I didn't need them to do it), and I was never notified of any of the pricing beforehand. I'm a waitress. I don't have this kind of money. I still need another 80 to get him properly groomed so that he's not itching and miserable, and these people KNEW this, and delayed that. (Also, as a waitress I'm required to tell people when I'm charging them an extra 1.50) They asked several times if I wanted preventative treatment and I just said "I can't afford it." They didn't really care at all. I'm just appalled. I told them several times I don't have a lot of money, I just needed him to be vaccinated so he could be cleaned and stop eating at his own skin. He was a foster dog, so he's never been to a real vet before, I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything right. Now I'm not sure I have enough to get him groomed and I feel genuinely terrible. Edit: The issue is that I was never TOLD. The hospital's lengthy response concedes that yes, it makes sense that I declined a 155 dollar service due to finances... But I didn't know it was going to cost that until they just replied to my review. Essentially admitting to their hidden fees.

Extremely disappointed with the care we received at the end of my pets life, after being a client for 7 years who came every 4-6 weeks to this clinic. Brought our pup in approx 4 times over the course of a week for various issues. The final day we had pup in there 2x with the orders of "lots of bed rest". 2 other vets we took pup to recommended a specialist and turns out even though they charged us for an X-ray just a week prior they somehow missed the cancer not only in her lungs but in her throat near the trachea as well. Technicians were more concerned with making her do her "speak" trick (she couldn't breath much less bark) rather than finding out why she could not breath. During this week time span they tried to set us up for a dental (side effects may include coughing and throat irritation) rather than addressing the actual issue at hand. Emailed my concerns to them and the response I was given was about how they could educate their clients better ( they seem to need education as well) , offered to speak to me over the phone. I provided a date in which I was free and did not hear back from them, I had to call them to follow up about this call back for my concerns in which I am still awaiting their response. Not calling or responding to client emails does not seem to be taking them "very seriously". -Probably because they can't make money off a dead animal. Wish I could have left a better review regarding my experience.

Alright, apparently the veterinary profession isn't much different than used auto sales. After parting ways with Forever Vets on Baymeadows because of their monthly subscription fee model that offsets all of these tremendous phantom savings that you receive when you do need help, I tried to schedule an appointment with Mandarin Animal Hospital. I had an appointment scheduled for this afternoon (8.17.2021) which they confirmed twice over the weekend and once yesterday. I receive a phone call this morning to let me know that the doctor had something come up and needed to reschedule. Okay, fine, we're not off to a great start but okay I get it. We reschedule for the following Monday afternoon. I then receive a call, literally two hours later to inform me that there is a one time non-refundable $35 fee for new clients. I ask the lady that called me if she's familiar with the word "irony" and tell her to cancel the appointment. Are you kidding me? I want to believe that maybe I just avoided being social engineered by a shady employee there out to get people's credit card numbers over the phone or something because I just don't understand how anyone conducts business this way - be it a veterinarian or a fishmonger. What is happening in this world? (Note the response below - everything you need to know is there...in short, they don't understand the definition of the word "irony".)

I love this animal hospital! I am a former employee and I still bring my dogs there because I know how thorough and detail oriented the doctors and staff are. I learned so much from working there and truly enjoyed working for the Mosley’s. They care about the well being of the animals and offer the best medicine available. You are always able to decline things you don’t want and if you need any financial assistance they have several options for you. I have personally seen the care and compassion that the employees and doctors have from the front of the building all the way to the back. I have seen how late they will stay to care for the animals. I also train dogs and have referred many clients here as well. Especially ones that are difficult to handle. They have won the hearts of every client I have sent there and they always come back and brag about how well they were treated. I would like to thank the Mosley’s and their amazing staff for always going above and beyond and doing their very best every single day. 10/10 would recommend every time.

  • Cassy Meeker

Would highly not recommend. I brought my cat in because she had swallowed a string and although she had thrown it up, she was still acting strangely. They said they would charge $250 for the x-ray, then we would discuss options. After the x-ray, they told me it would be another $270 to read it because nobody in their office knew how. This was the first red flag. After this, my husband and I were fear mongered into believing an expensive surgery was her best and only option and we should start applying to credit cards to pay for this. After my husband got upset and said that this was emotional manipulation and extortion they gave us the option to bring her home, but good luck. Well, it turns out we were "lucky" because the next day she spit up a hairball and is perfectly fine. I asked for the x-rays and sent them off to 2 different vets that told me that there wasn't a blockage, the pictures showed gas, and that I should report these people to the BBB. Don't bring your pets here. These people do not see them as family. They see them as cash cows.

What can I say when it comes to an amazing Vet that hasn't already been said by all the other 5-star posts in this review section? The staff is very accommodating, the technicians are very caring and the doctors (Dr. Tiffany and Dr. James) are very knowledgeable and communicate on a level that a "basic dog dad" can understand. I have two dogs and they both get excellent care! My oldest dog had a really bad skin infection that had me very worried and I was unable to leave my house due to car troubles. Dr. Tiffany was so accommodating that, after work, she stopped by to give my dog some meds. I know this isn't typical for businesses (particularly vets) to do something like this, but I think she heard the desperation in my voice and went above and beyond to help my dog. I'm happy to say that my dog responded positively to the medication and he's back to his old self! Thank you, Dr. Tiff, Dr. James and all the staff at Mandarin Animal Hospital! You have my 4-legged animals business for as long as I have them!

My experience was very disturbing. I was a walk-in for a sick pet. However, I am an existing customer. In my opinion, the staff and vet lacked complete empathy towards my pet. At the time, my pet was not eating and had become lethargic. When I arrived, my pet was taken into an examination room without my presence. I was informed to stay in the waiting room. During the examination, the vet made no direct contact or communication with me; which was troubling. The information was disseminated through a vet tech. The prescribed treatment options appeared financially motivated, as opposed to effectively strategizing to enhance quality of life. Subsequently after my visit (3 days), my pet’s health declined and I followed up with an alternative veterinary hospital. My pet, sadly, had to be put down. The prescribed treatment options, lack of communication and professionalism from Mandarin Animal Hospital are a few reasons why I would never return nor recommend them.

Wouldn't see a stray 4-6 week old kitten with a face flesh wound. I dropped the kitten off at 12 and didnt hear about this until 5. Now when I worked there, they would take stray kittens in, fix them up, shots, spay/neuter and then put them up for adoption. I was informed there was too many cats right now. I guess the 6 cats they've taken in (some have been there before I even started) haven't been put up for adoption yet which is sad, they live a long life in a cage with very little interaction. When I worked there I was terrified to bring my own cat to be seen there. Just know if they don't like you, you and your pet gets treated badly or don't get treated at all. I got charged and paid for blood draw on my dog that never happened. As I was walking out to the door to go home they mentioned, 'oh yeah, we never got to your dog.' There are way too many incidents that has happened and not even space to write. Beware of MAH...

I was recommended here by my co-workers friend. Boy am I happy I pushed through to come in. They were extremely welcoming from the moment i stepped foot in the office. My dog has many grooming issues and always needs a sedated groom. He has always been like this and it is extremely hard to find someone who would want to groom him. This place took the challenge head on and gave me the best service while at it. I came from a horrible vet (Pet doctors of America) and this place gave me a whole new look on vet care. This is now Simba's vet/groomer and WE LOVE THEM!!! I will be emailing them his adorable pictures LOL Oh and it is also affordable, I only paid 215! That is cheap being he got a vaccine, flea treatment, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, sedated groom, wellness check, AND LOTS OF LOVE FROM THE EMPLOYEES! WE LOVED THE DOCTOR, VET TECHS, FRONT DESK LADIES, AND JACKIE!!!!

  • Vanessa Grace

They take great care of my dog but aren’t good about being upfront with the cost of surgeries or visits. My dog is cover by their Wellness plan but was not warned that his dental surgery wouldn’t be fully covered. They had to do extractions which i was aware of but they didn’t specify how much that would all be. Then i picked him up and they said it would be $400. And they looked at me like you should have known. When i asked the front desk about the bill she seemed mad that i even asked. Dr. Mosley is wonderful and is willing to explain everything for you. I was just mostly upset with the front desk because they made me feel uncomfortable to ask questions.

A few years ago, I rescued the girl I would call my best friend. She had pretty damning complications and unfortunately, I had to put her to rest last September. I went through Hell trying to do everything I could. Dr. Tiffany gave my dog the best care possible in between my visits with the specialist. She even knocked some sense into me when I needed to. I had the pleasure of coming here for my dog's care and I am so glad they could be there for her final moments too. I've never had a worse day in my life but I think the kind folks here made it as good as it could have been. The quality of care they provide here is incontestibly top notch.

Mandarin Animal Hospital has the most caring and knowledgeable staff and vets. We are treated like family. Our pets love everyone here. They do it all in house: routine care, surgery, grooming and boarding. This is especially important to us because our pets are family and we want them to be comfortable and familiar with their surrounding whatever the need. Getting an appointment is super easy and quick, as is being seen once you're there. They have an awesome website that allows you to check test results and upcoming needs. We always get a follow-up call the next day to see how everyone is doing. Couldn't ask for anything more!!

  • Len Kim

DO NOT GO HERE! My cat came home in a condition that was much worse than the time I had dropped him off. I found a bruise underneath my cat’s mouth and their response was not at all caring nor justifying. How can you ask me to bring back my cat back to you to see if the mark is a bruise? Firstly, you will not see or touch my cat again. That being said, I had my cat for almost five years, I would know that, that isn’t a mark you get from overly “licking himself or that his mouth has been in water too long.” I am beyond disgusted by this vet. I will take my long road trip to see my cousin who is a very CARING veterinarian.

  • Benji Shelar

Dr. James and Tiffany are hands down the best Vets in town. Very knowledgeable and works with you on a one on one basis. They take good care of your animals. Been going here with all my family animals and have gone to them when I started getting my own animals. They definitely know how to take care of your animal till they inevitable has to happen and even then they are very professional and respectful during the process. Their staff are also very friendly and have just as much love for your animal as you would. I have recommended Mandarin Animal Hospital to every one I know who is looking for a new vet.

I had an emergency with my cat and my vet was closed. I had to put my elderly cat down, she was so frail and beyond saving. The vet fit me in and had a room ready for me as soon as I walked in the door (I did not have an appointment). They afforded me the privacy and time to say goodbye to my sweet girl. This was very appreciated since I am not a regular patient and I was a walk in. The staff was so professional and considerate of my emotions. I greatly appreciate them taking their time to make this transition as easy as possible. Thank You for being so caring during this difficult time.

I read the reviews about Cookie. This is about a cover up now. I am the person who brought her in and picked her up. I am looking forward to seeing the notes from the initial exam I was asked to pay for. She is 5 months old, I came in with her records. They were scanned into MAH records system. I left my beautiful 200% healthy puppy there. Later on Friday morning I received a mystery voicemail telling me Cookie was ok, why shouldn't she be ok?. I can only hope she was given comfort Care over the weekend, because when I came back to get her she was broken.

I've had a lot of unfortunate experiences with veterinary services in Jacksonville that really only seem to care about money. Mandarin Animal Hospital has restored my faith in the field. The staff are kind, helpful, and super knowledgeable! Both Dr Mosleys are such great humans and vets, and really care for your animals like they're their own. Roger and Pickles never seem to mind the visit because they know they're going to be loved and safe in the care of this excellent staff! Thank you for caring for our creatures!!

  • Christina Bonelli Roadruck

I presently have 3 German Shepherds and 2 cats. Dr's James and Tiffany Mosley are awesome veterinarians. They are great at keeping up with all the normal visits, shots and care. What makes them exceptional is when you encounter a problem. My 7 year old Shepherd was diagnosed a year ago with severe hip dysplasia. The protocol they put Brisa on has made an awesome difference. She is bossing around 2 year and a half old puppies. It is this extent of knowledge and care combined that makes them so very, very good.

  • Brenda Reinhart

Horrible experience. We boarded our baby for the first time here over the weekend. She had a clean bill of health. Happy mini golden doodle. We picked her up on Monday and she is severely injured. She is now wearing a cone! They are lying about what happened. They Will not show me the surveillance tapes or refund or money. Dr. Tiffany is condescending and very rude! They said she wasn't fine when she was dropped off, if that was the case, the entry exam should have showed that!! Very sad for our fur baby.

  • John Doss

I’m unsure the quality of the vet. But I went to have my dog groomed they told me $52 or could go up if he has lotta tangles when I got there they had to do an exam for an additional $45 on my nine-month-old puppy that’s totally vaccinated and they have all the up to date records necessary from my veterinarian I told him no thank you I would pass because I asked of there were any other charges when I made the appointment it’s a surprise and unnecessary charge. Wasted over an hour from work.

  • Jlt Jlt

If I could give more stars I would. Dr. Mosley and the staff are so caring and compassionate!! I had recently got a tumor removed for $400 at another clinic and the next day the stitches came all out, it really was a horrible job. So I rushed him to Dr. Mosley's office and they fixed him all up and they worked with me as far as the payments because I just spend all this money in the first place! Very blessed to see a place where they care more about your fur baby than money.

  • Amber Strickland

Dr. Tiffany and team are truly wonderful. I have two special needs kitties and the folks over at Mandarin Animals Hospital take such good care of my babies. I would not go anywhere else. I have called so many times panicked and worried, and scheduled last minute visits because of my baby boy’s chronic health issues and flare-ups. The team at MAH is so patient and professional with me while I am all stressed out over my special babies. Thank you Dr. Tiffany and crew!!

  • Grace Tillis

Dr. Moseley is AMAZING! We are stationed overseas so my parents have been taking my dog & cat here to complete the difficult process of getting them approved to fly overseas. Dr. Moseley & his staff were so sweet to my dog & cat. Dr. Moseley dealt with the USDA office & handled the crazy issues they were causing. He stayed after hours & came in before office hours to file the paperwork. Mandarin Animal Hospital is professional & will handle your fur baby with love.

  • Lilibeth Ramos

It is beyond soul-crushing to know that you had your pet checked for babies less than a month ago with this hospital and confirmed that she was NOT pregnant, only to find out the day of her spaying appointment (with another hospital because this one's procedure cost way too much) that they had to abort her babies to conduct the surgery. How could you make such a careless mistake? I paid for XRAYs!!! We would have kept her babies. This is so wrong. Do better!

  • Shelly Hineman

My cat came home as sick as he left, it just cost me over $400 for the 3 hours they had my baby Sergeant. I called multiple clinics, as I wanted his best interest, and I didn't find it. IThey also only disclosed a charge to me of $47.89, and told me they would advise of additional costs, yet did NOT. So, they charged me 9 times the cost, and Andrew had told me I'd have the opportunity to ask questions when I picked him up, yet that was not the case, either.

  • Delanie Doyle

I have taken my babies to Mandarin Animal Hospital since 2009 and the staff are like family! Tiffany and James Mosley treat my babies like thier own. During my time at MAH we have had some of the very hardest days and times with the loss of my babies to disease, saying goodbye is always hard but it's so much easier when you are surrounded by family. The Doyle family appreciates all you do for our babies! Delanie, Marcus and Ellie Mae

After years of searching for a vet I found Mandarin Animal Hospital and I am so glad that I did!!! They have been caring for all 3 of my schnauzers for many years now and I would not consider going anywhere else. The staff is always thoughtful and very helpful . Dr. Tiffany and Dr. Mosley are very professional and great at what they do. They take the extra time and care needed to keep all my fur babies happy and healthy for life!!!

  • kim felten

The staff seems very new. Mr Dr Mosley is very distant from the pet and owner. Unknown why. Although both dogs are very healthy i as an owner ate expected to visit for duplicate services such as bordatella are expected again after 6 months( on grown dogs). There is zero reason for revisiting except the office trying tp make $$$. I dont mind the stupid experience once a year, but twice pushed my buttons. There is zero rationale.

  • Deborah Oblath

I have brought my pets here for almost 10 years. There staff is friendly and helpful. I board my pets there as well and I always feel that they are safe and well cared for in my absence. In the past they have both needed surgery and they have been treated with love and the intent to ease their pain. I would highly recommend this practice. Because it is small you get to know everyone and they get to know your pets.

  • Jessica Williams

Would give a zero review if possible. Want to charge exam fees for everything, even if it is a follow up appointment or booster shot. No one knows what is going on, every time you ask about pricing it is a different price. If you aren’t careful they will over vaccinate one pet and under vaccinate another. Watch all your paperwork and keep names of everyone you speak to if you plan on taking your pets here.

  • Sheyanna Day

I love this animal hospital. I first took my dogs here after a friends dog was hit by a car and I saw firsthand how caring and willing to work with you, the staff is. They’ve taken many crazy phone calls from me when I get scared over (looking back on) something silly. Always friendly, always wonderful. They even helped me out when I found an injured dog during a hurricane. They are just incredible!

  • Dale Wiles

Why would anyone charge you $626.00 to have your pet put down because health issues and old age. I don't mind paying for services, and definitely paid my share fair in the past. I have been using this veterinarian office for 25 years. I have spoken with vet about bill, definitely no results and was told they appreciated my concerns. What's wrong with this world today?Guess I am living in the past.

Don’t board your animals here. The kennels are outdated. They get walked on a leash once around an unsecured back yard. They do not get play time. A dog died back there almost a year ago. He hadn’t been eating and no one cared or took notice. They will probably post a nasty response to this defending their gross negligence and behavior. Just all their past replies. They act like spoiled children.

My Wife and I have been taking our four legged kids to Mandarin Animal Hospital since they were born and have received nothing but excellent care. James Moseley and his wife Tiffany are highly competent vets, listen to their clients and treat our animals with compassion. If you are looking for a vet for your fur baby, try Mandarin Animal Hospital, they are the absolute best in Jacksonville.

  • LuckyPolkaDot

Now that both of my dogs are of a senior age, I was concerned about them receiving proper nutrition to keep them strong and healthy. The staff was extremely helpful and listened to my concerns about preferring a no corn, gluten free diet. They immediately steered me in the right direction of a food that met my requests, and my dogs love it! Thank you SO much for all of your assistance!

  • Francisco Collado

My wife and I are happy to go to Mandarin Animal Hospital. The staff is always welcoming and remembers our pups, Kimi, Luna, and Dejah. Recently our puppy was spayed, and the process and care were exceptional. We got update calls throughout the day, and they explained everything we needed to do when we picked her up. We are glad we found a great animal hospital for our pups. FC

Find another vet, notice all the 1 star reviews. Dr. Tiff removed my dogs eyeball( shouldn't have done that)2000.00 dollars, meds prescribed did not work. She claims its my fault and blames me for her lack of ability. I had to euthanize my dog yesterday, because of Tiff. So very heart breaking this whole ordeal. Find another vet. She's snarky and unprofessional. Heavy sigh...

  • Dana Adams

The vets are very qualified and relatable. Staff is kind and knowledgeable. My issue is when boarding, they do a admissions exam. For my dogs they keep finding things to prescribe medication for. During boarding it is $15/dog/day! For one dog this increased my bill by $100 over a 2 day period (4 pills). Just be aware of this ploy. Excellent, though pricey, vet clinic.

  • Michele Pugh

We have been going to Mandarin Animal Hospital for 5 years. My dog (Oliver) actually gets excited when he knows we're going! He not only loves both Dr. Mosley's, but their entire staff. We have used all of their services from boarding for a weekend, grooming, surgery to emergency and routine vet care. I couldn't recommend them enough! I'm forever grateful to them.

  • Moood Swangs

I have had four dogs come through here since 2003 with no issues. Called today and the woman on the phone was so rude, unhelpful and just terrible customer service. Short answers acting like she was doing me a favor. Never experienced that before here. EDIT: This was the hospital on Sunbeam and the woman was Jo or Joy. No reason to follow up selected another vet.

  • Donna Stallions

Our Kitty Kelly just loved going to Mandarin Animal Hospital! She's an older girl, 15, and I was concerned that she might have some geriatric problems. The kind doctors and technicians made sure her experience and mine was pleasant. We were in and out in a timely manner, and she was not stressed at all. Thank you, Mandarin Animal Hospital for your kindness!

  • Rodney Sharp

I have been taking my animals here for several years now. The quality of care as well as the outstanding customer service make us feel like they are extended family. Their facility is super clean, does not stink like many others, and well organized. If you care about your fur babies like I do then you should take them here for the best quality care in JAX.

  • Jeannie Denney

We have been clients for 10 plus years. Recently our girl, Skyy, for very sick. We took her in and she needed to be hospitalized. It was stressful and scary for us, and our kitty. The staff and doctors were great through the whole thing, with regular updates and a treatment plan that made all the difference. I wouldn't take my babies anywhere else.

  • Katie Lutz

I was on vacation when my dog Jax started limping. I was worried and decided to call to see if they could fit him in. They were able to schedule him for the same day. All the staff was wonderful. They didn't try to oversell services like many vets do. If I lived in Jacksonville I would definitely bring my dogs here for all their healthcare needs.

  • Gage Colby

Thank you Mandarin Animal Hospital for caring about animals as much as our family does. We wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of our four-legged children. Dr. Tiffany is an exceptional vet that truly loves animals. Thank you to the wonderful vets and staff at Mandarin Animal Hospital for your care and compassion. It is greatly appreciated.

  • Ardnas Aveid

Very rude "wholistic" vet. (So not wholistic) Obviously they're not rude to everyone, but they were nasty to me during a very sad time for my pet. My reply to MAH... no, you won't find my name in your records, it's called anonymity. There was no excellent care, just horrible behavior ensuring i never return and spread the word to others.

  • Natalia M

Dr.Mosley and the staff of this wonderful clinic have met my expectations and beyond. They are knowledgeable and skilled also showed genuine care and compassion for my sick cat . I was thoroughly instructed what I have to do home for my furry baby. He already does better after receiving treatment. I am greatful I found this clinic. …

  • Nate Ferguson

The Mosley's are phenomenal veterinarians. They are grounded and have a local interest in their community. You will be hard pressed to find a more family oriented, caring, honest and hardworking veterinarian than the awesome folks at MAH. I highly recommend visiting them as they will treat you and your furry ones like family.

  • Jeff Przybylo

Called this place to attempt to get my cat in for an emergency appointment, the lady that answered the phone was extremely short, had an awful tone and after telling me "fine, hold on" placed me on hold. Needless to say I took my cat somewhere else. If it's your job to answer phones, you should do so without attitude.

  • A Google User

Brought my dog here for acupuncture and laser treatment for her injured back. She is doing great after her appointment. I'm very pleased that this hospital offers these alternative forms of treatment. The doctor and his supporting staff were wonderful!! Will be bringing all my animals here. I love this place!!!

  • Kenneth Schmidt

Best Vet in Jax! Dr. Mosley has always been upfront and completely professional in every aspect when we visit, We've had 5 dogs and 4 cats thru-out the years and we always come here. Doctors and Staff are excellent and I highly recommend them to everyone in the Mandarin area. Wish the parking lot was bigger.

  • Lesley Rodriguez

Always kind and caring. Our first experience with them was when my 15 year old cat was dying. They were so caring and compassionate. We decided when we got another pet we would take them here. So a year later when we got puppies they became our vet. Our dogs love this office. Never had any issues with them.

  • Olga Morales

At Mandarin Animal Hospital we are always received pleasantly. Dr. James L. Mosley has always treated Nina with great respect and empathy. He has been very helpful with the medications that she needs due to her cancer condition. I know there is no cure for it, but he and his team have given their best.

  • Freida McMillan

Took my Doxies Pip and Pippa for their first checkup, worming and Shots....such a nice place ! Drs. James & Tiffany along with their assistants gave them excellent care and shots along with meds andgand to bring home. They make it affordable to care for your pets ♥️ Thank you Mandarin Animal Hospital !

  • Kym Labo

Dr Mosley, Dr Tiffany and their team are just truly amazing people who have our pets best interest at heart. We’ve been taking all our animals there for over 20 years and even though we moved to St Augustine 3+ years ago, we continue to make the drive to Mandarin so our dogs can be seen/treated there.

  • Dawn Bertrand

The doctors and staff are great, caring and reasonably priced. My cat injured her eye. She ended up needing surgery. I was expecting a $700-1000 bill and it was only $579 for the visit, all her shots and the surgery. The follow up visit was only $53. They have a Covid safe routine as well.

  • Mariluna Sunset

I bring both my Mutt and my Great Dane to Mandarin Animal Hospital and I love it! You can really feel all the love these people have for animals. They all want to pet and love on your pup. Very sweet staff and knowledgeable vets. I will continue to bring my dogs here for years to come.

  • rea mckinney

This is a knowledgeable and caring team. Our cats have always received the best the team has to offer, which makes us happy and eases any of our fears. From rescues at a few days old, to saying "Goodbye," at 20, we know we've found the best team and our pets have been well cared for.

  • Cait Gillen

They love our dogs like they are their own. Everyone is so friendly and they always remember the finer details about your pets, we have one dog that is very anxious and they go out of their way to make sure she is extra comfortable during her visits. Pricing is fair too.

  • Lizzy Borden (***Lizzy Borden***)

It's a good animal Hospital very friendly staff, the only problem I had was the prices and the money was more important than saving the dog's life! I do recommend them though because they do know what they're doing, your pockets better be a little deep though.

  • Valerie Schmidt

I’ve been taking my fur babies to Dr. Mosley for the last 15 years. He is an exceptional veterinarian but, an even better person. His team genuinely care about you and your pets. I recommend this vet if you really want to ensure your babies are in great hands.

  • Betty Lustig

I love and trust this group of pros. My little Yorkie has had too many health issues for any fur baby. She is loved and treated as if she’s a family member. I am grateful for Dr. Tiffany’s care of my baby and for the love and care from the entire staff.

  • Sharon Copeland

My husband and I are the blessed parents of three (3) four-legged children. We would never take our kids anywhere else than MAH. The professionalism and care they receive is top quality. We highly recommend them to all of our friends and family.

  • Gene Sorey

Great professional vets..the best I've had in almost 40 yrs in Jacksonville, FL. The Mosely team knows what they're doing, explains everything to one, and has compassion when one must do the right thing by letting one's beloved pet partner go.

  • Sarah Blair

This vet requires 6 month checkups with regular bloodwork that they overcharge for as precautions. They leverage it not for the health or well being of animals, but rather to increase profits. The business is poorly run as appointments are

Great people and great service for our four-legged "kids." Tell the new vet on staff to cut out the aggressive upselling, though. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.
