Today I shopped at the Gateway Mall, TJ Maxx; it is always a very pleasant experience. I also shopped at Target and there I also received very good service. I continued my day by shopping at DSW, the Store Manager was friendly and engaging and the associate at the register was great. I wanted to end my day by shopping at the Marshall at Gateway but I did not. I drove to the Marshall at Five Town and I had an extremely pleasant experience. On my way back to Brooklyn I realized that I need a pair of Green Shoes; so I made a decision to stop by my neighborhood Marshall. I found the shoes, exactly what I wanted but I decided not to purchase them. I was hoping to be surprised but in the end, it was as always a very disappointing experience. The store was very messy and disorganized. I was not expecting stellar service but wow, it was extremely disappointing. I attempted to use the restroom but it was messy, dirty and the odor was repugnant. I know Marshall has great promotions and items that customers love to buy. However, shopping at the Gateway location is consistently a very unpleasant experience. Please take actions to resolve this....Please.

This place has the best deals hidden. Yes, a hidden gem. If you looking for great fashionable attire at a low price, I would say stop by at this location. Regarding customer service: all employees are very friendly, helpful, and eager to help you get the best prices. Every 20 mins you will also here deals running currently, so it is quite difficult to stop shopping. I guess that is good thing for this company, eh. Appearance: everyone helps the store stay tidy, which is really important. The best employee in this store that helped me a lot is Nancy. She made sure my customer experience was top notch. Maybe the manager should retrain the staff on how to be professional and less miserable. To go thru the line as we wait to get to cashier 2x and not say excuse me is real classy plus to force a paying customer to wait as u complain to another staff member about another staff member as we stand in line is grade A service . Then every floor employee looking upset like its community service instead of a job. QUIT THEN! And to the 2 employees dragging cart full of items to the back its also proper manner to say excuse me instead of just forcing your way thru. Thank u. Rather got to Marshall in NJ or PA or online .

I ❤️ Marshalls, TJMaxx and Home Goods! They are pretty much the same except that Home Goods has more house stuff. I have 3 Marshalls that I can get to fairly quickly. The Marshalls in Atlantic center is trash. It always looks like a tornado went through it. The Marshalls further down Atlantic Ave by Court street is too small. Turn around once, twice and ur done. The Gateway Marshalls is just right. Except for the forever checkout line! It doesn't matter what time of the day u decide to go, the line is always long. But Im ok with that cause it gives me time to put back half the stuff that I really don't need!

I walked into this Marshalls at 4:45 on Wednesday Feb 18, after finding what it was that I needed I went to join the line, that I stood in for 30 mins. There were only 2 cashier's with a line of about 30 people. I went to the coordinator Marlon C who said he is the manager, I asked how come there isnt more help with a line that wraps around the the store. I was told he has no one to put on the register I then asked how come he doesn't help as he is just standing there. He stated he has to supervise. I had to laugh at the irony of that, I guess he was supervising the line as he was not doing anything else.

What can I say it's a local Marshalls located in Brooklyn and the folks they are pretty good and you can find pretty much what you're looking for it's nothing Grand or spectacular but you can find clothing maybe something for the kitchen or something for the children the bathrooms are always clean and they're always open. A little surprised at the look of the place, almost bargain basement looking. There was always a little "overflow" on the racks but, nah, not everywhere. Maybe due 2 the season(?), a bit OD as far as disorganized. N what happened 2 just having some decent shoes n boots. I could not find one pair of rt below the knee length boots n the whole boot/show section. Maybe it's the "supply chain" thing, b glad when it's over n we get bk 2 some gd footwear.

Always a very nice selection of merchandise, but the customer service leaves much to be desired. The insanely long lines make you wonder if the items you are holding, with your arms ready to fall off on the line are really worth the good prices. I can't count the number of times I've put my stuff down after 30 minutes in line after an hour of shopping and just left. Frustrating considering they have many registers, but only 2-3 people behind them.

Nice spot to shop, they have almost everything, making this spot a great place for you to check out. This venue is located at Gateway dr. Brooklyn with lots of other storwes here. (Target, B.J.s, Burlington, Nordstrom Rack, Redlobster, Olive Gardern, Childrens place, Carter's, Five Below, Panera Bread, Applebees, J.C. Penny, Skechers, Sprint, Gap outlet...) with all these selections how could you go anywhere else??

I had the opportunity to shop at the Marshall at Gateway. I had a wow experience. I was very impressed. The leaders at this location have made a positive impact on my shopping experience. There were long lines but the experience was engaging and friendly. Matthieu made our experience memorable. He was at the line engaging and customers. This is a big turnaround compare to my prior experiences. Thank you!!!!

Marshalls as a whole is really great considering the prices and great quality items. However every time I come in here which is 4 times a week ( Gateway location) the lines are always extremely long. Which I don’t understand because are always hiring. They either need new management or something because it’s no reason you have a 50 people line with 3 cash registers. THEY NEED HELP NOW ‼️‼️

Walked in and within minutes found exactly what I was looking for, great. Then realize the checkout line is about 30 minutes deep. Hard to tell here but the line is in the men’s section to the wall. Typically I would leave but unfortunately I need the items for work. I know Sundays are busy but they only have ~half (or less) of the registers open. Please do better!

I had the pleasure of shopping at your location on Friday, May 25. I purchased a set of pillows for my son's room. However, to his dismay when he took the pillows out of the bag, he found a bed bug.... I returned the merchandise to the store, and I was assisted by the Manager. However, please take the appropriate actions to resolve this issue.... Thank You

They have good prices , the store is always messy , need some organizing , cashiers are very slow , I waited too long on the line , they only had four cashiers , and the line had about 30 people , expect to waste half an hour waiting on line , this store can use some better management they should hire more cashiers and more people to organize the store

The clothes are usually a mess and unorganized. Their footwear section always seems limited compared to their other locations. The line is always ridiculously long, every so often cashiers will get on the line to help out, but you never know. I try not to go in here if I don't have to. I'd rather drive the 1-2 hours away to other locations.

I go to Marshalls occasionally and the stores are a mess, but the marshals on gateway dr is definitely a lot better than the other Brooklyn stores. It was organized and you could find what you're looking for. I've been in that marshals in the past and was not impressed, but today I was. Good job to the manager and staff at that location.

A Nightmare the line was at least 30 people and although they had 14 registers only 4 were being used ?? when i called the manager she said no one else was trained for the register HUH...what happened to customer service it looked like a zombie apocalypse there has to be a better way no customer deserves to be treated like that

Very good location! Very large store, I have never came here and left empty handed. There is just so much to choose from. If you need any kind of fashion item you can find it here from shoes - bags - clothes and all! If you need any kind of home item you can find it, even snacks you can find. It’s just a wonderful location!

I went there 1hour before close time, they didn’t turn on the air conditioner...could you bear Sweating with more than 50 people there and wait only 2 people work for checking out...the store close at 9 ,I went out at 9:45. Thank you for the SPA.my knees feel better!

November 2 I went here to pick a coat for myself I had 6 coats to try so I went near the fitting room on the left side mirror. The person who was working there told me shu shu go out of here and fit you coats somewhere else! This is how you treat your customers

Has no more or less than any other Marshall's, what sets this one apart from the others is that it has absolutely horrendous management. Every visit to this Marshall's ends with an hour long wait on the line. They need more registers and better management

This store has no shopping bags.If you are planning to go shopping,make sure you carry your own bags to carry your items out.I ask for a bag and the only bag they had was a ln clear garbage can recycling bag.Only in Brooklyn you get this kind of service.

Horrible treatment to a costumer. especially at closing time, the turn off the ligths to make you leave and the sales personal are behind you all the time telling you to stop shopping and go to register with your stuff because they are close already.

I like this place but I never seem to fine discounts for the stuff I buy and they racks seem to be very un organized I fine 2x in the medium section but I guess they short staffed who knows I would like to see some sales and or coupons sometimes

You've been to one Marshalls you've been to them all. Long lines, close together racks that make it impossible to walk through forget spending time looking through them because you will have to keep moving for someone to walk by.

It is my favorite store but they do not have clothes like before and winter boots there are hardly any perfumes like before sometimes I don't know what to buy they have to bring more clothes and perfumes especially

You goto a Marshall's because you want to find clothes at a cheap price. What can I say about it? It tends to get busy on the weekends but otherwise it's what you expect. Long lines, mess and unorganization.

I work at Marshall's back to back so I can focus on school and have some time to myself. Good managers and employees, but the bathrooms are sometimes out of order and I mostly work all around the store.

Prices were ok... the associates were not too helpful, actually stood in line waiting for a cashier for 22min, and I was next. Didnt even call more for help just allowed the line to get longer..

Always a huge line and never enough cashiers. 6 cashiers ringing up customers out of 12 registers. I always walk-in and walk-out without anything. They must do better especially on weekends.

I LOVE Marshalls but this location had me feeling anxious. There were so much stuff that was not organized that i didn't know where to start. The selections was just ok at this location

It is a good location in Sheepshead Bay with the parking on the roof but I try to avoid to go there because of not friendly and rude personal most of the time. Very disappointing.

This store has great finds. Good variety and actually carries plus sizes. Unfortunately, the checkout lines are always long, regardless of the times day and the store is messy.

I really enjoyed my shopping experience while at Marshalls. I asked an employee a question about an item. She was very polite, and informed me where the item was located.

I love the fact that you can get brand names at discounted prices. The only complaint I have is checkout. The line moves at a snail's pace... even during off peak hours!

You will more than likely get what came in for at reasonable cost, but the lines will make you not want to come. But I always do cause the price is right.

They got more stuff than any other regular sized Marshall's, you can have some cool finds there like duffle bags or interesting candy/items.

Lines always way too long, clothes are sometimes on the floor. Never really find slacks in my size, home decor is worth looking thorough.
