We worked with Maya Magal for our wedding bands and honestly had a faultless journey from beginning to end. The service that we received was first class, from the initial concept meetings to design our bespoke wedding bands to receiving the final product. The consultation felt effortless, we dealt with Nathan who listened to our ideas and helped us create the perfect rings for my partner and I. Nathan was super professional and is an excellent creative, helping our vision come to fruition. There was so much care and consideration with ensuring the rings were perfect for what we wanted. There was clear communication throughout the whole process via email and also arranging in person meetings at the studio every step of the way to ensure we were happy at every point. Everything from the metals and the stones we wanted to use was carefully considered, through to the smaller details including the engraving of our monogram on the inside of the band. The end product is truly exquisite, and something myself and partner love wearing. I couldn’t be happier with the amazing service I received in designing and producing my engagement ring. Nathan (the studio manager) listened carefully to my brief for a non-traditional, salt-and-pepper diamond ring and kept me updated each step of the way. Nathan was brilliant at reassuring any concerns I had and sourced some amazing stones for me to choose from. I had a few last-minute wobbles about the band design which were massively eased when Nathan invited me in to try it on before the stone was set in place. Once the stone was set, I also took the ring away to ‘wear it in’ for a few weeks before deciding on a final comfort adjustment. This was such a good suggestion from Nathan and left me feeling 100% certain about all aspects of the design, before returning it to the store for some final engraving on the inside of the band. In comparison to a couple of other jewellers I had met with, Nathan truly went above and beyond to meet my requirements, provide impeccable service from start to finish and create my perfect ring. All the Maya Mangal staff were warm, polite and drinks were offered on every single visit, in a relaxed, pressure-free environment (a world away from Hatton Garden to say the least!). The final piece is exquisite, and I love how unique it is- I couldn’t recommend Maya Mangal, the quality of their products and wonderful service highly enough.

I reached out to MM and was introduced to Nathan and the team. I had a basic idea of repurposing three incredibly sentimental rings that hold special memories in our lives. Not fully understanding the process, or how the design would work out was a bit daunting for us. We live in North London and I love this shop, so my now husband reached out to them for a bespoke engagement ring - we cannot recommend them enough! Nathan was absolutely brilliant start to finish, nothing was too much trouble and years later they sorted re-sizing and engraving my rings for free after my ring size changed post baby. Even though I wanted a fairly classic style which we could have bought from a range of jewellers, I’m so glad it was custom made locally at a women owned business. To celebrate the birth of our child, I wanted a special piece of jewellery I could wear and one day pass on. I had an idea in mind for a necklace, so sent a sketch to Nathan assuming it wouldn’t be possible only to get a warm note back that they’d be delighted to help. The experience was fantastic and so special, they went above and beyond to make sure I got what I wanted. The end result is gorgeous and so thoughtfully designed (a thicker chain to make it more durable with a baby who loves pulling on things, and an adjustable system in the back to change the length). Whether it’s an engagement ring or bespoke piece of special jewellery, we can’t recommend this wonderful store enough.

I live in Islington and walked by the store countless times, admiring the beautiful designs in the window. My (now) husband and I are living here for a few years before returning to the US permanently, so when the time came to purchase my wedding band, we really wanted something from our neighborhood here in London to make the piece extra special. I knew Maya Magal was the place. Working with Nathan couldn’t have been better. We were on a tight timeline, and he was quick with his design and thorough in his communication. I showed him pictures of what I had in mind, and he tweaked it to best suit my engagement ring. When I saw the finished product, I was ecstatic! It was better than I imagined. I constantly receive compliments on my band from strangers - not a usual occurrence to have people compliment your band more than your engagement ring, but it is really that special! I echo so many positive things said here about this company. I visited their shop Christmas 2019 in Coal Drops Yard and all the jewellery was beautiful, contemporary and I thought pretty affordable considering how unique it all looks. I bought myself a ring which I have worn every day since - so didn't hesitate to look online when I wanted something special as a 21st birthday present. Isabella and Nathan could not have been more helpful, and offered to make the item I saw online even more perfect by making a version in rose gold, (not specifically offered as an option online). I just mentioned it on the off-chance and they instantly offered to make it happen. It was quick, easy and their communications were so helpful, positive and instant. Our experiance with Maya Magal was great. We had been looking around for the perfect engagement ring for a while, but didn't find something we both really loved. A lot of the rings we found where quite similar to eachother and the bands where always quite thick. We struggled to find something both uniqe and dainty. After looking around online at different photos, we found an image of a ring that we fell in love with. Only problem is that we couldn't find anything like it in the shops. We then reached out to the Maya Magal team to see if they could make something similar to the ring on the photo, and the team came up with a loely design for us. The team was very friendly and fast at getting back to us at any occation. They even managed to delivere the ring ahead of schedule (just in time for our 10 year anniversary), and of course ended up creating our dream ring.

I had a fantastic experience commissioning a bespoke ring for my partner at Maya Magal. Nathan was patient and knowledgeable in explaining the process and answering my questions. From the very first consultation with Lucy at Maya Magal I felt at ease with a designer who understood the importance of using the jewellery and who could bring my vague design ideas to life. My experience with Maya Magal was great from start to finish! I had an emerald stone that I bought on a trip to India, and I wanted to put this into a new ring design. I initially went to the store in October 2019 (!) and the design process started soon after that. Fast forward to March, the design element was nearly finished but then we went into a national lockdown. Throughout the lockdown I was well communicated with by the team at the MM store in Islington, and visiting the store after the lockdown lifted to make the last decisions on the settings felt very safe. I am so pleased with my bespoke ring design! I love it!!

We got our engagement ring from Maya Magal after a fair bit of searching around London. The designs we spotted here were lovely, as were the staff, and we ended up commissioning a bespoke necklace to go with it. Nathan was really good at helping us articulate what we wanted, and couldn't be happier with the end result. We were so happy that we went back for our wedding rings, which included another bespoke design. This is a fantastic option if you're looking for unique jewelry pieces, and the staff are great. We're definitely coming back for a few more pieces in the not too distant future!

Absolute gem of a place! I wanted a jeweller which uses ethically sourced materials and came across Maya Magal and luckily they had this store near me. I worked with Nathan to design an engagement ring for my fiancée, and the process was amazing from start to finish. Designing a bespoke wedding band with the Maya Magal team at Highbury & Islington was fantastic from start to finish. I was looking for something classic and contemporary to pair with a vintage engagement ring, and Lucy totally nailed it. The combination of Megan in Front of House and Lucy and Nathan on the bespoke team also meant the process from ideation through to design, 3D rendering, gem sourcing, and final product was smooth, and I was kept up to date on progress. The customer service that this brand provides is really more than excellent!! I asked them whether it would be possible to repair a bangle I had bought over a year ago and not they immediately agreed to do that, but they kept updating me throughout the process of the repair. When I received the bangle back they had also included a lovely personalised message! Wonderful design and quality jewellery, but also wonderful customer service that really makes the difference!

Nathan was brilliant - made us feel really relaxed, didn’t pressure us or feel salesy, he seemed to be genuinely focused on helping us design a ring that we loved, without pushing a particular type of gold or size of diamond. He was patient with us while we were making decisions (and changing our mind). I’ve only purchased online, rather than in-store and the service is great and their stuff is quite unique. But the quality of their jewellery isn’t great - solid gold earrings have started oxidising after 6 months, with not that much wear. Better off getting costume jewellery which actually seems to last longer than this brand’s pieces.

I love maya magal designs and want to buy everything in store. my only issue is the gold plating doesn’t last. My first ring was replated (twice) and a week later it faded again so I gave up. Despite this I have bought more pieces because they are all so beautifully designed, I just really wish the plating was better quality :(
