Have dealt with Mayday Locksmiths a few times, both for locks and for problems with my automatic gate, and can highly recommend them. Have found their pricing to be very reasonable. Both times that I called them in about the gate were emergencies and they were fantastic. Although they do not do repairs to the gate or garage door itself, only the motors, the last time I called them in, at 8 in the evening, the Locksmith hammered the gate track so that the gate could be moved back and forth and told me to contact the office for the name of someone who could fix it.

Simply the best. Car key of older Ford Ranger stolen during home burglary. Two local locksmiths came, failed, and left the ignition and dashboard in a mess and were impatient and aggressive in their failure. Mayday saved the day, and saved on towing car to Ford dealer. Everyone was friendly, intent on fixing the problems left behind by others, and patient about it. Very cool.

These guys are proffesional and willing to go the extra mile to help you with your lock and key requirements, I had a key cut there for a security gate, and it was problematic, so I went back and they found a solution by any means possible to solve my dilemma quickly and efficiently without working up a sweat.

Unfortunately my experience here wasn't a good one. Took a damaged remote car key in & lady assisting didn't seem to know what to do, insisting that I leave the key there, which wasn't possible as it was in use. Our business ended there. Meanwhile later, another key shop fixed it in 5 minutes.

Do not use them, they will overcharge you and they are incompetent. They wanted to charge me R1700 for my Hyundai key and said it would take 1 day to replace so I have to uber there with the key. I went to TurnKey around the corner and it was much cheaper R800 done in 30 mins.

These guys are fantastic (and Shirley). They did for me for R40 what Turnkey quoted R2500 for. Then they produced a brand new functioning car key out of my broken bits for only R 600 instead of thousands.

Absolutely pathetic service from them... I needed a key for a door lock, they charged me R165 Rand but they filed my lock to make the key fit and then gave me a generic key... Cant trust them

Very reasonably priced. The person I dealt with was very affable and approachable and was meticulous about ensuring the blank key was suitable for my scooter before cutting. Highly recommend.

I never got to 'experience' Mayday, as they failed to show up. After 7 days, including a reminder, I got tired of waiting and called another company.

Phoned them in a flap, efficient and unflappable locksmith responded and sorted out my stuck lock in fairly short order. Reasonable rates, too!

Shirley, Brendon and Anton went out of their way to assist me with my predicament. They were also extremely kind. Exceptional service.
