"Unfortunately I have to leave some negative feedback"
"I place a high value on great service, fair pricing, and delectable food"
"I never posted any negative review for any business before, but this time, I have to"
"I like this cafe"
"Such a sweet place! So many choices of drinks and food items including sweet and savory options"
Unfortunately I have to leave some negative feedback. The coffee and service is great, but there may be an issue with the to-go cups that they use. Specifically, the lids seem to pop loose when the cup is grabbed in a normal manner (this is in comparison with lids/cups from other coffee shops). This lead to showering my vehicle interior with hot coffee, which was difficult to clean up. My friend had a similar issue with their cup. It was as if the cup had melted slightly from the coffee heat, and the design of the lid doesn't grab the cup as well as those from some other coffee shops. We couldn't get the lids to stay on properly after this. I'm not sure if this was just a one-off, and it is at least possible I grabbed it too hard. However my friend also had the same issue and I do regularly drink coffee from paper to-go cups without popping the lids loose. The coffee and service is good. It might just be a good idea to take extra care when using these (and perhaps for the cafe to consider changing suppliers?)
I place a high value on great service, fair pricing, and delectable food. However, my experience fell short in several aspects. The Salmon Gravlax was subpar, and the coffee was exceptionally bad. Additionally, I observed a lack of hygiene as the staff did not wear gloves when handling the food, and the overall cleanliness was questionable. Service, unfortunately, was a bit slow. While other patrons in the restaurant appeared to be enjoying their meals, my experience was quite the opposite. Despite the visually appealing presentation, the taste did not match expectations. The Avocado Toast was underwhelming, and even the Tiramisu, while visually appealing, tasted like a frozen one from a supermarket. In addition to the issues with the food and service, it's disheartening to note that the service at the restaurant was inconsistent, with some patrons receiving better attention and smiles compared to us.

I never posted any negative review for any business before, but this time, I have to. I visited this place a few days ago, and my experience was far from enjoyable. It was a complete letdown. The so-called high-quality coffee had an overpowering over-extracted taste. I ordered a latte, but it turned out to be excessively sweet, to the point where I couldn't even finish it. I requested an alternative milk, but I suspect they gave me regular milk because shortly after leaving, I had to urgently find a restroom. It's important for establishments to understand that when someone asks for an alternative milk, it's often due to dietary restrictions or health concerns, not just a preference for a different type of milk. This unexpected turn of events affected my evening plans, as I had a nice dinner planned, which I couldn't fully enjoy. NEVER EVER COME BACK!

I like this cafe. We visited today, and it has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The servers are polite and helpful. We had three pastries. The chocolate almond croissant and the apple, Danish were tasty, however, the almond croissant needed more almond filling. The coffee, tea and oat milk cappuccino were great. I visited on Friday, and had a millionaire shortbread, but the most I can say about it, was that their recipe needs a bit of work. The shortbread was not buttery, and had very little flavour. The caramel was not creamy and tasted mainly of sugar. Toffee needs cream or condensed mile, i.e., Eagle Brand. The chocolate, was more of a chocolate paste, rather than real chocolate. Maybe it would be better to use a high quality chocolate, such as, Callabaut, rather than making their own. I will be returning, but will order the pastries that I know, are good,
Such a sweet place! So many choices of drinks and food items including sweet and savory options. I'd definitely come here again. I do think there's not a lot of seating and the arrangement for seats could potentially be more effective while still having great character (which may be different in the summer if there's outside seating but I don't actually know) but overall I like this place and would be curious to try more of their menu.

I was able to get my coffee with oat milk instead of dairy milk.
I regret that I cannot provide a rating of zero stars, but it's not an available option. I'm expressing my dissatisfaction after three visits, confirming that this is not just a one-time occurrence. On each occasion at this particular location, the wait time for a basic coffee and snack has consistently been 20-25 minutes. This prolonged service time cannot be attributed to excessive busyness, and I find the service to be extremely unsatisfactory. I have decided not to return. Furthermore, it's worth noting that the restaurant Belgravia Hub next door provides a significantly better experience.

The place is cute, is a lot of space to park even that u think I won’t find parking, base on other reviews I was exited to try this place but the only thing I liked was my chai tea, the dessert I choose was not good at all, my daughter didn’t like her dessert either and her drink she said it was ok, maybe this is what happens when you have hight expectations lol. Well after that visit I don’t see my self going back. The deserts look good but don’t taste how they look even my friends didn’t finish their pastries and they are pricey so I prefer to go somewhere else pay the same but get a good pastry.

I appreciate excellent service, fair pricing, and delicious food. While the food was satisfactory, I found the pricing to be less than favorable. Unfortunately, the service I encountered was quite disappointing and even insulting. The server's unfriendly greeting set the tone, and she took an exceptionally long time to take my order. I had to approach the front counter multiple times to remind her about my wine. The server appeared disinterested in her job and wasn't very helpful in answering my questions about a menu I was unfamiliar with. Given this experience, I am unlikely to recommend or return.

Horrible experience. Not sure why it took 15 mins to get orders done why there were no body at store. So frustrating. I also needed the hygiene concerns since Batista didn't wipe the steam wand between uses. Watched her use milk, leave it, then Oat milk. That is allergen and bacteria issues. And my drink wasn't filled to the top and it was 1/4 foam, so I had 2/3 of a drink. What a lack of care. And other coffee really watered down.

I've lived in the Belgravia neighborhood for some time, and often when I've passed by this cafe, it was just full of life and energy. Lots of people there enjoying their coffee and their company. Finally having visited for the first time, Mood Cafe did not disappoint. The interior is a warm, cozy, "cute" little cafe. Almost reminiscent of a house from The Shire. The display of in house pastries was wonderful, many unique and delicious looking pastries. I choose to go with my regular order. The espresso and chocolate croissant We're both delicious and savoury. I will definitely be visiting more frequently.
Great place to have a coffee and lunch. We brought our boys with us and there are plenty of options for them. Never tried the pizza until today, glad I did because it was fantastic. Also tried the veggie bagel, wife had the avocado toast, and my son had a croissant. All were freshly baked and prepared well. Coffee is always great and atmosphere is wonderful. Worth the drive for those outside of the area.

Okay place to hangout, but not right place for coffee. Even tough they have all the set up the barista doesn’t know how to make americano. Just adding a bunch of hot water in the espresso is not americano. Also apparently they don’t how how to take order like I have asked for coffee in a mug and add one sweetener but the person totally missed and gave coffee in paper cup and no sweetener. Asked for remaking the coffee, and I would like to pay extra, they just starred at me and saying nothing, what a nice way to treat your customer

Mood Cafe is a sweet little bistro tucked away in Belgravia. You'll find the usual cafe treats (croissants, cakes, etc.) and drinks at usual cafe prices ($$), but the atmosphere is calm and there are a number of indoor and outdoor seating options to choose from. Food was just "ok", but I can imagine this as a place I might pop into occasionally if I wanted a snack and was in the area. Angled parking is available in front of the cafe.

Kinda weird situation, I was tricked into a double date so obviously I was a bit cheesed. But then I bit into that lemon meringue tart and everything made sense. I was whisked away to a far plain where the sun shines and yellow roses grow. Never thinking I could experience life any better. BUT THEN I continued to the fruit tart and heaven help me, I almost reached nirvana. And that’s when the chef whispered welcome to your new addiction. What an amazing experience, really great customer service! They make you feel welcome.
Stayed at an Air B n B nearby and this was our go to cafe for our morning coffee/breakfast, teatime. Drinks are great and finally tried "London Fog" - really good. Pecan tart, Lemon tart and Almond croissant all very good. Highly recommended and such nice people. Thank you for your recommendations as to where to visit and we welcome you to visit our tiny Singapore in the not so distant future. Did not get the opportunity to take some nice photos of the drinks/pastries but rest assured it's delightful
I’ve tried the croissants, tarts, pizza, and gelato and I am in love with it all! Such a cute little cafe with the kindest owner! And let me just tell you, the pink cotton candy gelato is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Heaven on earth! You have to try it! It is without a doubt the best cotton candy ice cream I have ever had, and I’ve tried A LOT of cotton candy ice cream. I hardly ever leave reviews, but this place is incredible! It’s worth ever penny! I can’t say enough good things about this place!
The girl on the counter taking order is rude and don’t know how to cater customer’s order properly. I have been coming to this coffee shop for a good treat. but after that , I don’t even know if I want to come back. I've been to the Belgravia Hub next to it, it was a bit more expensive for same treat, but it was way better than this cafe in terms of quality of food, drinks and service, they have more friendly staff and their coffee tastes even better.

Very cute cafe in the hustle and bustle of Belgravia Hub! Huge selection of desserts, pastries and drinks. It was hard to order just one dessert! We ending up getting a Strawberry Frappe and a London Fog! The drinks were absolutely 10/10! The frappe wasn’t too sweet or overbearing, just perfectly done with a strawberry purée drizzle and whipped cream. The pistachio tart was pretty nice. The shell was a bit to hard to cut into, but the filling was quite good and delicious.
Amazing local cafe that is family owned and run. Best coffee in Edmonton and amazing pastries. Great cozy atmosphere and great service with a smile from all the staff. Highly recommended!!

Great place to go and study as a university student. Very close to the North Campus. Friendly staff, great selection of teas. Their eclairs are my favourite in Edmonton. However, sometimes they have baked goods that have been sitting there for a few days. At my last visit I ordered a cheesecake and the fruit pieces on the slice were all almost rotten and dry because I'm assuming it was sitting the fridge for 3ish days and they still decided to sell it.
Not the most aesthetic or the most comfortable seating, but boy this cafe delivers some good food. The pizza we had here (I know! Pizza at a cafe!) Was phenomenal, not too greasy, tasted high-quality and home made. Perfectly crunchy crust without being hard. The pastries and cakes were also delicious and made with love, will definitely be back!

My second year ordering the take away high tea for my birthday, and Mood does not disappoint! I believe it's the only place in the city who does the collapsible cardboard stand for take away high tea, and it makes the affair feel fancier and closer to a dine-in experience. The food is delicious and fresh, showing a high level of detail and pastry prowess!

Visited this cafe after a nice walk by the river valley. So many wonderful looking options! Flakey pastries, sweet little cakes and ice cream! We preordered the Creme Brûlée doughnuts and ordered a couple Americanos to drink. Both were fantastic! The doughnuts had the perfect sounding crack of the caramelized sugar on top and a not too heavy custard inside. We’ll be back to try the croissants and probably more doughnuts too.
I live in the neighborhood so I often go for baked goods and coffee/tea/juice. I also got gelato and that was great. I love coming here and the workers are so nice. The vibes inside are amazing and the prices are reasonable. It definitely makes the neighborhood nicer and I appreciate it!!

Been coming to mood cafe religiously now I live all the way in the north side I drive all the way there just for these sweets. Also I never walk in there and there is bad vibes ever the vibes are incredible there from I think his name is Ali? awesome staff awesome food awesome place to be at never misses 10/10 on every scale!!!!! thank you so much mood cafe and staff for striving for greatness for the customers.
Great frappuccinos but the service is really bad. The person on till doesn't know how to multi task and she went outside to give food to people and pet their dog and came back in and didn't wash her hands before helping us. It also took them more than 10 min to make the frappuccinos. I could have made them at home faster. It's not that hard to make drinks. I expected better service for the price of everything.
This place is awesome!! I went just before they closed so none of the pastries were “fresh” but it sure tasted like it was. Staff was super nice and offered my group waters without us needing to ask, and had no problems explaining what each pastry was to us. Family run, and theres a new lineup of delicious morsels every day. If you eat here, you’ll be happy. If you don’t, you’ll be sad. Forever. Come eat here.
I love this little hidden gem in Belgravia. They have a wide variety of fresh goods and their drinks are always made to perfection. Lots of things I still need to try, like their pizzas. It’s a good little spot to study or work on projects. Customer service is top notch - owner and employees are all so wonderful. Whenever I drive by it’s always busy with lots of people sitting outside enjoying their drinks.
I've visited this cafe multiple times with clients, and they consistently provide excellent service, along with top-notch coffee, tea, and food. Just be aware that parking can be a bit limited. I would definitely recommend this place.

Amazing experience at this cafe! I got a london fog and my cousin got the strawberry frappe and they were both so delicious! Beautiful setup, amazing customer service! I felt very welcomed and taken care of, the owners are so hospitable. Definitely will be coming here every morning to start off my day:) so pleased with this experience, if I could give 10 stars I definitely would!
Delicious! Very nice, rich flavours that are all a little different from the standard flavors so you don't feel like you're going to a generic cafe. Great location. Definitely popular with the neighbourhood as it was hard to get seating! Will definitely be back. 10/10. We ordered a chai latte, caramel frappe, and a pistachio éclair.

I never like writing reviews but the coffee is tasteless and what makes it more terrible is the customer service. I waited for a couple minutes in line which is understandable for a busy day. But after a long time and paying that much for such tasteless coffee? No, thanks. This is first time and the last time to visit this coffee shop. Any Timmis in town are better than this.
Stopped by on a Sunday to grab some of their famous creme brulee donuts! Got some fresh from their last batch of the day and they did not disappoint. I appreciated that the donut wasn't too sweet! The staff here are so personable and friendly and were very welcoming. I love the homey vibes of the cafe and will come back to try some of their other pastries and treats!

Pros: Good parking, nice crowd and atmosphere. Turkish coffee was excellent, presentation could have been improved Cons: overpriced Feature latte was gingerbread. Ordered the gingerbread latte half sweet with almond milk. The flavor was off. Didn't taste like gingerbread. I expected it to be creamy but tasted like flavored coffee. Didn't finish it.
Such a great addition to the cafes of Edmonton. They have really great almond croissants and with their tasty coffee, your afternoon break (or morning) is perfect. The staff are truly wonderful as well. Lucky Belgravia residents who are able to enjoy this place everyday! The pizza and desserts are also really good. Give them lots of support!
I really want to give this place a 5 stars but the food was not great. I ordered the smoked salmon pizza, the crust was not baked fresh, it felt like they bought it from a cheap store. No capers were on the pizza as was described by the menu. The pecan pie saved this review from 1 star to 3. I’ll come again for desert but not for the pizza.
So happy to have a coffee shop back in the neighbourhood. We have taken out several times - the coffees are great, and there is a nice assortment of things to eat - in particular the pastries (made on site) are amazing! Everyone we have met is lovely and the service is excellent. The place has been renovated and looks fresh and welcoming!
GOSH this place is too cute, and I regret waiting so long to check it out. There's plenty of cozy places to sit, including armchairs. The smell of freshly baked pastries is so comforting and cozy. Music is atmospheric but not too loud. The Filipina lady working at the counter is very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

As a cafe….not good. It’s no Ace or Transcend that’s for sure. It really needs to get better at coffee. I threw mine out as it was very over brewed. A lot of reviewers have complimented its pastries and I can’t comment on that. It had a nice seating area though. Could be a real nice spot if it got better coffee.
This location was where Gracious Goods Cafe was. Now there has been a massive renovation, with new flooring, paint, newer furniture and a brand new door that keeps the weather outside! Food is good, still can't find a tea I really like, but overall, very comfortable. I will return for another visit.
A great cozy place! Their Americano is the worst I tried! They need to work on that! It is close to my work place, and I wish to use their cafe regularly, but with a higher price to get a lower quality is NOT encouraging to visit the place regularly!

Probably the best Flat White I had in town! Their pastries are freshly made and desserts are delicious! And hopefully next Holiday season we’ll try their Bûche De Noël and the Croquembouche, we missed it last season due to gathering restrictions. I highly recommend this place!!!
The Barista wasn't very friendly and my coffee was lukewarm. The atmosphere was ok. Staff did not follow Covid guidelines, noticed the staff touched the food with bare hands, will come back as it really concerns me. Not sure if I could get sick due to the low hygiene standard.

Awesome variety of pastries with vegan, gluten and dairy free options. The coffee is terrific and the raspberry gelato is amazing. The staff are super friendly and accommodating as well. Located in such a beautiful neighbourhood
Extremely disappointed. Coffee was only lukewarm and it tasted weak. The cup lids always pop loose and made my car interior a mess and hard to clean up, better use better supplies with better quality for the prices you charge.
Tasty croissants. The donuts were so so. We bought 4 cream brulee donuts and one of them missing filling. Matcha latter was so bland, tasted like regular milk. Brewed coffee wasn’t so good. I might come back for pastry only.
