This review is FOR the Service Shop, NOT Sales. I've been to the shop 3x. 1+2) The 1&2nd were for oil change, safety inspection, cabin filter, wipers, and to get a quote on replacing a wheel bearing. No problems on these visits. Good, friendly staff and prompt service. However, they quoted me +400$CAD for the bearing hub replacement using ACDelco part, so I instead bought on-line and replaced it using a Timken part for 125$CAD. 3) The 3rd time, I went in for an oil change since it was due. I had also recently started getting the Traction Ctrl& ABS warning light, so I wanted to see if they were willing to do a simple check free of charge, such as trying to re-set it,and maybe retrieve the error code for me. I was quoted 60$ for labor and 140$ for parts (see picture). Because I showed up planning on only paying for the 60$ Oil Change, I asked the service representative (Derek), why is there 140$ for parts, and I was told that it's IF there are parts required to fix the problem, they could charge up to 140$ with this quote, and if more are required, they will let me know. Seeing no issues based on the explanation, I signed for the job. The problem started when I went to pick up the car. The invoice was 200$: a) Body Electrical Diagnosis 140$ b) Oil Change 54.99$ + 5$ environmental The problem is, I never wanted to pay for a full electrical diagnosis. I'm sure it's a good service, as they were able to pin-point the problem, but for things like this, I always go to a local garage instead of a dealership, because often times, they will do it for free, or charge significantly less. And if anything, I always like to take a crack at diagnosing the problem myself 1st . This was a communication issue, and it was caused in large part by the poorly drafted job quote from the dealership, where it said: 60$ labor and 140$ parts. If I'm not crazy here, that is pretty misleading right there.... Additionally, I believe the culture of assuming that customers show up expecting and willing to pay 140$ for a full diagnosis for non-critical warning lights caused this in part. Although this might actually be a sensible assumption by statistical average, it isn't an assumption I am okay with. As previously stated, I of-course asked what the 140$ parts was for, and I was NEVER told that it is an electric diagnosis charge, but instead I was told that if parts are required for repair, I'm authorizing up to 140$. For the above reason, I complained to the service rep at the time, which was Brian. Brian told me he was sorry, but he doesn't have the authority to do much, and that he cannot release my car unless I paid. Brian was very pleasant to deal with, and I believe he went out of his way to make things better, because after weighing his options, he went and cut the price to 70$, which was nice of him. I took his offer to get my car back. The next day, I spoke with Derek. He resisted giving the full refund, and argued that he explained 140$ was for the diagnosis. It's his word against mine, but as I said, I'm not the type of person who pays 140$ for diagnosis without looking at alternative options, esp. when it's non-critical item. As last resort, I told Derek I am considering disputing the charge on my card, on the basis that the quote does not support the invoice, then Derek went and got his superior manager. Dealing with the superior manager was terrible. He didn't even let me explain my case properly, and constantly interrupted me with what essentially boils down to: 1) How is it that you were expecting to get a free diagnosis? (I wasn't) 2) "I know what you're trying to pull here, and I'm having none of it" I think he knew that I had a good case for disputing the charge on my card, so he gave me the refund, which was good, but he couldn't resist saying: "Next time, take your business somewhere else, don't come here" How unfortunate. EDIT: In hind-sight, 1 star was harsh considering Brian's response, and previous services. 3 Stars. Basically, watch what they quote you unless you're made of $ or on warranty

I am giving a one star but they do not deserve even this rating. Myers treats customers according to their take on what the customer can afford. Sales lesson 101: Never judge a book by its cover is not a concept they understand. Back in 2017, Myers Dodge Manotick refused to work with me on the purchase of a new Dodge Ram truck. They told me there were no vehicles available in Canada that met my specifications. Interesting enough I bought a Dodge Ram Laramie Ltd. (top of the line Ram) that same week from Southbank Dodge, Ottawa. During May 2021 I visited Myers Kanata hoping to get better service as I wanted to order a new Corvette. I dealt with sales manager Lyal Crawford who advised that they were not taking orders for Corvettes but they were taking names and numbers and would call when they were given the go ahead to order from GM. I found this a bit odd but given things have changed since Covid I provided my name and number to be added to the alleged list. A few months later I stopped in and talked to Lyal. He assured me I was on the list but was sketchy on the details. In early April 2022, I called Surgenor's as I had been told that the list was likely a crock of bologna. Surgenor's advised that they could and would submit my order and went on to state that it would be about 2 years before receiving it. Twice I have called and left phone messages for Lyal Crawford to call me back regarding the List. He has not returned my phone calls. I have this to say to Lyal and Myers overall: You have in both cases treated me like a second class citizen who cannot afford the luxury vehicles I requested despite being told in both cases it would be a cash deal. NO FINANCNG NEEDED. What is wrong with you? Shall I wear a $1,000 dress and $1,000 high heels with lots of expensive jewellery including my Rolex watch to get your attention? Let me tell you that people who dress like this are often not the people can truly afford these vehicles. I will continue to wear jeans, tee shirts, no jewellery, etc. and by the way I will continue to pay cash for my vehicles. You are a despicable discriminatory dealership. More to this story but enough said. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP ESPECIALLY IF FEMALE AND WANTING HIGH END BOY TOYS. Myers Chev Buick your response is truly disappointing. You state you want to get in touch with me to discuss the above matter but you apparently don't have my contact information. This is a joke as you have my information in your files and it should also be on " THE LIST". I find this to be comical but at the same time I do not suffer fools lightly and especially have a strong dislike for those not able to tell the truth. Myers Dodge did contact me back in 2017 and made several promises none of which were fulfilled. Furthermore it should not be my responsibility to get in touch with the owner of Myers as you suggest.

They will not be honest for there mistakes. Claiming coffee broke my centre console light, tail light and head light to which was all working 100% prior to bringing in the vehicle. I highly recommend NOT bringing your vehicle here if you want professionalism and honesty. Coffee would not cause these issues also when I asked for pictures of the supposed “coffee spill” that has never been in this car LOL they had NONE! Extremely dishonest place with dis honest techs. Truly a make money off you scheme in this place. This dealer will do anything to make a dime on mechanics. I HIGHLY HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Will also be posting reviews to Facebook, twitter and instagram. I also should mention they weren’t able to fix it properly the FIRST TIME and told me to bring it back when it happens again and when that happened they switched to the coffee spill. And they and 401 refused warranty / safety requirements. UPDATES #1 just had another garage verify that there is no coffee in any wires as well. P.S I will never bring any of my fleet of GMC trucks here nor will I ever consider purchasing here after this incident. Wife will also not be bringing her Buick back here either.

Bought my Cruze here about a year and a half ago and I hadn’t had any issues with it until about a month ago, when I started hearing a ticking noise. Brought it in to the service department, Brian said they’d take a look at it, and helped set me up with a rental (the Enterprise team was great too). Got a call back a few days later saying it was fixed, drove it away and it was still making the noise. This was a bit annoying as I don’t live in Kanata, but it was alright, I called up again and set up an appointment. Brian remembered me from my last visit, despite the fact that these gals and guys probably see hundreds of people a day. Took the car back in and said he and the team would figure it out. Got a call a few days later saying they’d have to keep it for two weeks or more, set me up with a rental and got to work. I basically have a brand new car now, it’s all fixed, and once again when I came to pick it up, everyone remembered me (I mean i’d Been there quite a few times!) All in all, my car was in the shop for about 3.5 weeks but they kept at it till they figured out the problem and Brian thanked ME every time I called to check in about it. The situation with my car was frustrating but the service was far from it - these people continually exceed my expectations. I hope I don’t have to go back anytime soon, but they were great!

BE WARNED. READ MY COMMENTS CONCERNING THE MYERS GROUP OF DEALERSHIPs. BE WARNED. In June 2014 when I purchased my 2014 Passat TDI, I also purchases an extended warranty from Myers Volkswagen located at 2500 Palladium Drive in Kanata. In September 2015, VW was sued in a class action for emission issues with their diesel automobiles. My car falls within the affected automobiles. In August 2017, I will be returning my automobile to VW at the Myers VW location as part of the “buyback” option under the class action settlement. Over the past two weeks I have contacted Myers to obtain the balance of my extended warranty since I will no longer own the automobile for which it was intended. Myers has informed me that they will only apply a credit for the purchase of another extended warranty from them to cover my new car. I have informed Myers in emails that the warranty that they have offered is not satisfactory. My new dealership has informed me that they will not accept this extended warranty at any of their dealerships. I have informed Myers that I am not voluntarily wanting to cancel the extended warranty but it is as a result of VW emission issues. Consumers should not be charged for something that they cannot use. Myers has refused to issue a refund in cash/cheque.

April 21 2017, Had my 2012 Impala serviced as per my owners manual to have the transmission oil "CHANGED" and oil filter changed at 156,000 kms. Myers performed a "FLUSH"! Prior to the work the transmission worked excellent. Three days later the TCC "torque converter clutch" shudders under load when the TCC is engaged. Service manager said it's not their fault as they have done many flushes, made inquiries with two separate "Transmission Specialists" and both reiterated the same sentiment "Never Flush The Transmission" it should be drained by dropping the transmission pan and replacing the oil and filter. The technician diagnosed the problem as "Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly" repair will cost $1,827.20 + taxes, talked to parts department and a new transmission is $2,400.00 which includes the faulty part. Randy the service manager said that the transmissions are only designed to last 160,000 kms hence that why GM warranties their power train for 5 years or 160,000 kms. Told him really, why did my Malibu last for 450,000 Kms. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING FLUSHED MUST BE DRAINED! Myers have not offered any help in repairing the transmission! Called GM Canada and they were of no help either. Thank you for the "FLUSH"!

I must say I am pretty disappointed in my experience today. I booked my car in to have a semi annual maintenance done as I am planning on going on a road trip in a week and recently the check engine light came on and had me concerned. I also had some issues with one of my tires. We brought the car in and waited 3 hours. To only be told that the tire needed to be replaced but they were still looking for a replacement tire. I told them not to worry about it I will deal with that at a later date I just wanted to make sure the car was ok to drive on my road trip. Then was told it would be another half an hour or so until the only mechanic that could look at my electrical would be available to look at the check engine light which was the main reason I brought the freaking car in in the first place!!! To look at the check engine light. I was charged full price even thou half the work was done. I am beyond unimpressed. I waited 3 hours 3 hours for what??? If you need maintenance done on your car I suggest somewhere like midas bring it back to the dealership for warranty work only. I am not a happy customer at all!!!!! I just expected better expecially for an almost 5 star rated establishment.

I recently dropped my 2008 Chevrolet Express off there. My van wiper blades stopped working so I checked the fuse box in the engine bay. The wiper fuse looked fine but when I took the cover off I must have knocked a relay out of the fuse box. The van then wouldn’t start so I got it towed to Myers’s Chevy Kanata. I told them I checked the fuses and had a hard time wiggling the cover off because where it was placed. They took almost 2 days to figure out it was the relay. I told them about the wipers and they didn’t fix them. They charged me $390 to diagnose it was a relay and to replace it. After explaining I thought it was crazy expensive for them to charge me that just to put in a new relay they took off$80. I still paid $300 for them to put in a relay. Also they never fixed my windshield wipers. I brought them to another shop and they saw me right away and fixed the problem. It was a windshield wiper transmission and it took them an hour from the time I got there to the time it was finished. And it was cheaper than the relay. I won’t be going back to myers Chevrolet kanata to service my two Chevrolet vehicles ever again.

Couldn't be worse !!! The salesman named Ch** was so rude, impolite and not professional at all ! Just part of the story: I went for a new car and he showed me a car with 13000 km milage as a new car .. when I ask about the milage he lies and claims it was their demo car !!! Story doesn't end here .. They are like, we can offer you some discount on it. I ask how much, they say 1300 $ !!! hahahaha ..could you believe it that they are selling a used car or maybe an already rental car with 13000 km milage on it as a new car ... Again the story doesn't end here. I ask them to give me the monthly payment for financing and as funny as it is, the monthly payment they give me is even higher than what you should pay for a brand new one !! You all people know what's the name of this "ACTION" ... anyway, If they want, they can even reply to this comment and try to justify themselves .. then I will post the paper documents they gave me about finance monthly payment so everyone could simply judge it ! If needed, I can even post the salesman business card for everyone's benefit

I couldn't have had a better experience. My salesman, Chady, was professional, knowledgeable of the particular truck I was there to see, and very personable. He asked a few questions to make sure that the truck ticked all the boxes for needs and wants, and then handed me the keys to do, at his suggestion, a thorough test drive. He really wanted me to be sure about a potential purchase. A deal was made, (exactly what I offered), and 3 days later I picked up my new to me truck. All the paperwork was done, the new plates were taken care of, and it was fueled. It couldn't have simpler or easier. And of special note: The detailer did such an amazing job you would never have guessed the truck was 4 years old. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, don't hesitate to go to Myers Kanata Chev Buick GMC Corvette. Was looking for a very specific vehicle...Chevy Equinox, V6, AWD, Trailering Package with an LT trim package minimum. That of course bumped me back a few years, I'm just fine running a pre-loved vehicle. In steps Ryan Kelly (sales) on recommendation from a close friend Charles Barradas in the Service Department at Myers Kanata. I made Ryan aware of my near impossible search/want parameters and yes, it took some time. A phone calls gets made... a vehicle that matches my requests perfectly was obtained locally...and now it's mine. It was immaculately detailed and ready for delivery on spec and on time as promised by Mr. Kelly. The purchase process was smooth, easy and with absolutely zero pressure. The service here is exceptional. The service team and reception certainly meet the known standard of GM licensed dealerships worldwide, from my experience. Reception is always polite Service rep. are some great people who will understand your needs and take care of you Knowledgeable mechanics who really understand your powertrain (they repaired something for me which other shops could never find!) Great sales department will always understand what you're looking for Shuttle service is punctual and friendly, never a bad choice to get home and back Just a really good, honest dealership overall which will get things done so nicely that you will never go anywhere else in Ottawa. If you visit, pass by the Cruze Cafe upstairs, great food there!

Our first car was great for us at the time, and when we realised our family would be expanding we went back and Nick was exceptionally helpful. Price for a set of struts on my 2016 Pick up I bought there was almost 40% higher than another GM dealer not 20 Minutes away. They claimed the strut was faulty due to a levelling kit that was installed professionally. The dealer did not agree at all said it was same part numbers as the Elevation Model which has kit from factory. Brought in same truck for trailer hitch light harness problem. Said there was no problem and charged $100+ for this information, said it must be trailer hook up. Trailer works fine on 2 other trucks so its not trailer! Keep your money and go to a smaller dealer in another close by town who really cares about your business.

Overall not the best experience i had setup a test drive appointment, as we were interested in two specific cars, after we set up the appointment my husband then called, maybe 10 minutes later, to see about getting an earlier time only to be informed that both cars were gone one had even been sold the week prior, yet they still had them listed. Then when we asked about the other options listed for the same car in different colors we were then told only one was still available so we decided to test drive that one, once we get there not only was it not available it wasn't even in Ottawa. I don't think we'll be car shopping here anytime soon.

I go to GM to rotate my winter wheels out for summer wheels on my 1 ton dually. I believed it was safe to assume GM knows my vehicle best. How is it that mechanic can put the wheels on wrong? I go to GM because they are supposed to know my truck but obviously putting the correct rim combinations together is not known to some mechanics (aluminum front, aluminum outside rear, steel inside). Although the sevice advisor was helpful in sorting out the obvious issue, the mechanic... not so much. This experience was not what I expect from a GM truck service center.

Went to get a new Keyfob for my 05 Malibu. They went through the details of how much it'd all cost and whether or not I needed a new keyfob or just to repair the slot where I'd put my key into to manual unlock the door since it was sort of stuck in place. We decided on the new keyfob and they had one in stock and then did the labor for it right away even though they were closing soon. Did it relatively quick and I was given the key fob attached to my manual key, a business card and my car was parked just outside of the garage then I drove off.

Went in to lease a new car. Spent 15-20 minutes checking out a particular car in the showroom and not a single staff member said hello. Was hoping for a test drive and price compare two models and get something ordered. I have no problem waiting to see someone if it's a little busy, but based on the number of staff just sitting around chatting with each other, out for a cigarette etc., I think at least one person could have acknowledged my presence. Luckily there's lots of choice these days. I'll spend my $$ at another dealership.

In 2015 I bought a new Cruze from the Myers Kanata Chevy dealership. Love the car and Service has always been great. Recently I picked up a part from a sister Myers dealership, turns out it was the wrong part and caused minor damage when I installed it. Called Nick (the General Manager) and saw Ryan in Service. They made it right and quickly sorted out the issue. Nice to find a dealership that still makes SERVICE a priority, and maintains Customer Satisfaction as a Gold standard. Thanks guys!!!!

I had a great experience dealing with the team at Myers Kanata. I knew what I was looking for and they were able to more or less get the whole transaction done in one afternoon. I was not bombarded with up sales and they respect the Ontario all in pricing rules. That has been a problem for me at other dealerships. On a personal note; I had a difficulty with my trade in. They both accommodated and sorted it all out for me. I was very happy about that.

my brother purchased a new pick up at this location and they won't honnor his lifetime power train warranty that came with the truck during march madness, the motor conk out at approx. 38000 km and the truck is still parked at their location and they offered him 250.00 for this truck pls share as this is not a way to treat a customer and they refuse saying his tires are due, tires have nothing to do with the power train

This is my 4th or 5th lease now (can't remember exactly) from Myers Kanata and I keep going back for a reason. The entire staff from reception to service to sales are all very friendly and extremely helpful.
