To get here you'll need a car or taxi there it's not within walking distance of anything in New Orleans, and once you get there not quite sure you want to be because of the outside. However if putting the building and location of spot on the side to try the food you will not be disappointed. The shrimp po-boy was to die for the shrimp was so crispy, fresh and tasty and the French bread fully dressed was killer. I was surprisingly happy and very satisfied once done. Couldn't even finish the whole sandwich it was packed with friend shrimp. A must visit in NOLA just go in with a open mind and promise you'll be glad you did. Even has a few slot machines in back that pay out rarer well too.

I do not understand the rave reviews here….at all!! The ladies were super nice, but the food was subpar! The shrimp were stale, the mashed potatoes tasted like instant and the red beans and rice were just okay! We got an extra plate of food and a large gumbo as well because of all the amazing reviews. In all, we tried the shrimp, corn, mashed potatoes, green beans, red beans & rice, baked catfish and gumbo. Three meals, a gumbo and two sodas….$55ish….and it was not good and definitely not worth that price. It is an old convenience store and you should expect instant mashed potatoes and canned corn & green beans.

It is simple in design, yet offer so much for anyone looking to get their food fix, whether the delicious hot sausage poboy with fries, or some wholesome seafood to keep the day going. And the staff, they really make you feel like you are part of their family with their warm smiles and captivating and wholesome demeanor. I would definitely recommend Natal's Seafood whenever a passerby is looking to get something to eat. The only gripe would be the no place to sit and enjoy it, because the atmosphere is really quaint and, due to restrictions, it is understandable.

Hard to understand, kept arguing with me , no prices shown for what they had offered . The items I settled on were salty and dripping with grease and that was the rice dish and noodles dish , how is rice and noodles that greasy. Gumbo smelled like sweaty are pits . Two minutes after I was done eating I had instant heartburn and indigestion. Thank god I had tums to reduce the horror of food I ate . I have eaten many places in New Orleans and I can say beyond a shadow of doubt this is the worst place to eat . You may like it but I will avoid it .

  • Kerry Conklin

We got the red beans and rice which is a little different from what we get in Shreveport, it had just a hint of sweet to it so it was a good kind of different. It was also sausage and pork and not sausage and chicken as we are used to, another good different as well. It was a good decent meal for the no wait time as it come off the hot bar. I'll be back in the area in 3 weeks and I'm going to get their gumbo this time.

I've visited this place numerous times, but today February 23rd 2018 was horrible! I purchased the red beans and the ribs and pasta, the beans weren't good anymore, the pasta was so bland! I couldn't believe it!" They must have changed their recipe or got another chef, but it was horrible! I asked if I could change the beans to something else and the response I got was very rude! I would suggest by eating there anymore!

  • Pierre Blatcher

Food taste like it had been sitting a while. They refused to put food in separate containers. All food was stuffed in one container. So different foods ended up mixed together. Fried rice ended up filled with juice from corn by the time I made it home. Which made it inedible because my kids don't like their food to touch. I won't be giving them any more business. No consideration for customer.

I stayed 2 doors down at Jude’s RV park for a week during essence festival and I picked up food almost every other day. The pork chops were so tender but baby don’t miss out on the red beans and rice (it is everything!) I also enjoyed the LoMein the shrimps and chicken in it was a whole meal and the catfish was seasoned to the God’s

Foods okay sometimes friendly sometimes not so much very stingy with napkins and utensils also no coffee stirs (they have a plastic spoon sitting in a cup of dirty water that everyone that buys coffee has to stir they coffee with EEEWWW). Cigarette prices are HIGH over a dollar more than the dollar store across the street

We are from Houston, Texas going to New Orleans for vacation. We find this place beside the road, give it a try... OMG...the food are really good, fresh and appealing. We get shrimp fried rice+shrimp lo mein+ 2 stack of BBQ ribs for $11.99... Very good price, yummy in my tummy and make sure get their gumbo too...

  • Angela Howard

One of my go-to places for a buffet lunch!! My go-to is the grilled fish, with mash potatoes and gravy, green beans, with a side of fried shrimp. Some of the best mash potatoes out there.

Awful food staff treats customer like they are afraid they are going to rob them don't like places that serve you from behind plexiglass if you are afraid of the clientele you're in the wrong business but that is typical of people of that origin

I love to stop in and get breakfast. Grits always creamy. Other meat options available. Not just pork. They could let the bacon get a little crispier. But, this is a good quick place to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

  • Raquel Marcelle

NATAL'S is my go to place after work!! Whenever I don't feel like cooking, I get Gumbo from here. It's not "MY GUMBO", LOL but it's very good. The staff is always kind And from what I can see, the kitchen looks VERY clean.

  • Barry Nouzovsky

Been eating here since 2012. The food and staff are all great! Everyone that visits me from out of state gets brought here to try the food. Most people after their trip is over say the best food they got was from here!

  • terrence collins

They give you alot of food for your money. They're places to dine in or you can take out. I had the Salisbury steak, they give you 2 patties with 2 vegetables, I had corn and green beans. $8.99 and it was delicious.

  • Nicole Wheeler

It's in a unique area of town known for sights that aren't the normal tourist faire. The draw here is the portions and who can beat an $18.00 Ribeye with 2 generous sides. More

  • Michelle D

To expensive, they rush you, nothing home made, grits had no taste because they added to much water in them and bacon wasn't cooked well. I won't visit this place again....smh!!

  • Sheila Conlon (Teqbird)

Was great the first time going there, food fresh, had the specials ready even at closing. On 2nd visit not closing time, food died out, did not have the special available.

  • alaine slater

Okay food. Lady behind the counter had an attitude about French fries being the only side when you get fries. If you don't get fries you get two sides. Really? Absurd

  • Mike Batsford

Good food, reasonable prices. Quick service. Haven't had a bad meal from here. Any time my job takes me to the east I'm stopping by. Rough neighborhood though. More

The food is overpriced and not very fresh. Lucky Jean's is right down the road, lower prices and better quality. And, no, I am not affiliated with Lucky Jean's!
