Okay, the station is much better than I expected. Even better than the nearby New Cross. It feels much brighter and cleaner overall with the new footbridge and all platforms (even the lesser used platforms 3 and 4) have step free access from the ticket hall via lifts. Give it a few more years and it won't take too long before it becomes cluttered with graffiti like the rest of the New Cross area.

For my money, New Cross Gate ranks below all others bar Nunhead in the pantheon of stations. There's just no need for trains to stop here. If for whatever unfathomable reason you desperately want to visit New Cross, use New Cross Station. A second stop in the same vicinity is pure indulgence and a grievous misuse of our taxes.

It is a train station that I have only used in early hours of the morning, it is a big station building wise and is wheelchair accessible as there is a lift down to platform. The lift has not been working on the overground platform towards HIGHBURY has not bee working for at least 2 weeks that i know of 19/11/2023

Andrew the London overground staff need recognition for his service . Always greeting the people going pass . Few locals see him as a friend including me. Always on job , you will see him sitting on the corner and assisting travellers.

All trains cancelled southwards, finally told to find other alternatives, no staff to be seen. Apparently signal issues southwards, same issue few months ago hope sorted properly so lasts longer this time.

Good Station that now has lifts to all platforms and good services to London Bridge Highbury and Islington and West Croydon. This station can get very busy with lots of people coming in and out.

Functional, accessible, serves well. Could probably do with a direct connection to nearby New Cross, though, and Overground connections to central London (Charing Cross and such)

I love this station as I've been using it for decades! Could do with toilet facilities though. I was allowed to use the staff toilet once,but that's not good enough!

Busy station, suffering from the same alienating design choices that afflict much of the Overground network. Infrequent service to useful locations. Often closed.

Nice station, as you would expect with London Overground, although I did get doubled up at the barriers once. Apart from that, overall it’s a good station.

The tickets fairs, just absurd, and if you looking to buy a drink inside some stations, well the prices can quadrupling without limits .

Use to love this station but they've removed direct trains stoping at Norwood junction to New Cross Gate. People want to travel quickly!

I’ve been using this station for years but I do agree it needs toilets but other than that it’s amazing highly recommended from me

This station is operated by TfL's London Overground, but is served by London Overground and Southern Railway services.

A great place to visit. If your want to get somewhere faster than walking. This is the place for you.
