A PO from this precinct arrived to report on an accident I was involved with in which a driver attempted to get in front of me by speeding onto a shoulder to get ahead. He misjudged and crashed into me. When I went to the precinct to pick up a copy of the report, I saw it had none of my statements and only contained the perspective of the other driver. I've been going back and forth with this PO and her precinct for 6 weeks trying get assistance to at least get my statements into the report. When I went back to the precinct to discuss this with the PO: 1. Showed PO pictures of the other driver's car with no damage consistent with her report, she kept insisting there was damage. 2. When I provided carefully thought out analysis consistent with the physical damage which contradicted her report, she became irritated and stated I was "lecturing" her on how to do her job and became belligerent. 3. I had sent PO a certified letter respectfully outlining my issue and asking for her assistance. She was annoyed that I sent the letter and acted as though I did something wrong by doing so. 4. She claimed she was not familiar with my case even though I've been in contact with her consistently. At first she wasn't sure if she even spoke to me during the incident but then somehow became absolutely certain that she did. I replied that I never spoke to her. Only to her partner. However, she was now adamant that I did. 5. When I told her that even if she wasn't inclined to change her report just add my additional statements to it so both perspectives are reflected, her reply was "all statements are already in the report!". 6. She then even accused me of trying to change the report after the fact because I "admitted fault" according to her report. I replied that I never admitted any fault and that the other driver's insurance company declared me at fault due to her erroneous report only. Why anyone would unconditionally admit fault as doing so is against one's self interest. 7. Another PO that overheard this conversation attempted to throw me out of the precinct and belligerently stated that I should just “accept the report” and move on. To be fair, a lieutenant at the desk spoke to me in a more understanding and professional manner (Thank You) but claimed there was nothing she could do. The lieutenant advised me to just let the insurance companies figure it out. I have always been a supporter of police and always gave them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. This incident with this PO and the 106th in general has caused me to re-evaluate my opinion. I will no longer assume anything as far as the police is concerned. Good or bad. I will also relay this story to as many people as I know to make them aware to take nothing for granted where the police is concerned. Is it unfair to use such a broad brush for all police? Perhaps. However, I can only relay my own experiences. I didn't ask for the world but got absolutely nothing. Less than nothing. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Just noticed this Google review by another person: On september 9 around 12:30AM a black male and a female hispanic officer (both young) responded to a accident in which my car was hit by a aggressively driving black man. The officers were present and saw the black driver hit me with their eye's but refused to acknowledge that despite showing them the paint stain and dent on my car, but instead these officers believed the black driver's side of the story which he denied of hitting me. I felt racially discriminated since the black/hispanic officers supported the black drivers false claim and refused to acknowledge my car was hit despite witnessing the accident in front of them and having seen the dent and stain from the other car. I just hope this reaches the department head's they make sure this does not happen to anyone else again Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm The driver that hit me was also black as well as the PO that took the erroneous report. Coincidence?...... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Interesting............................................

I own a private house with a driveway. My car was in the driveway. It was 7 am when I looked out my window to see two patrol cars; one was facing the opposite direction of the driving lane completely blocking my open driveway. The other facing the right way, but parallel to the other patrol car. I peered for about 3 minutes, looking to see of anything was happening, but both patrol cars didn't have their lights on. At about 730am, I walked outside to my backyard. The two police officers had their windows rolled down, talking about if they wanted to go to Dunkin Donuts or 7Eleven. I became irate and told them off, only for them to have the audacity to call me an a-hole. Excuse me, your blocking my driveway, violating at least 3 traffic rules you're supposed to enforce and UPHOLD, and your calling me an a-hole for calling you out? I'm a former USAF Combat Patrolman, so I know all their regulations; their SOPs, ROEs, UoFs, etc. For them to think they can do whatever the hell they want, especially since their white cops and I'm a brown man, is unacceptable. Funny thing is I haven't seen those two morons near my driveway since. I hate when cops don't follow their own rules yet expect us citizens to do so. Respectfully, FÜÇK YOU 106, your professionalism is egregious.

I have a very serious problem with neighbor noise. I called over 100 times to complain about loud music blasting. If the police do show up they don't do any thing. I had my neighbor throw motor oil and eggs on my plant and destroyed my plants. I called 911 four times before 2 officers showed up. My husband spoke to them and they didn't bother to get out of the of the car to see my property vandalized. The female officer gave me a report for harassment and said I should wash the plant leaves with soap and water they will be fine. Guess what ...all my plants died. Every week someone in my neighbor have party and plays loud music. They don't do any thing for me and my family because we are Muslim, yes they are racist. We pay taxes like every one else and we are American citizens. They need to do a better job. I hate to think our tax dollars go to only buy donuts for police. If their family and friends lived in this area we would have a quieter neighborhood. This Labor Day weekend we had to call the police daily for extreme loud partying and drinking in the streets and the police failed to do anything. They don't even deserve one star. Very disappointed.

Mindless of what people are saying, the policemen at this post are very professional and courteous. They were very helpful indeed, love and respect guys! Cops are not efficiently programmed machines, they are men in uniforms, they are susceptible to all the things humans succumb to,thus making some of the cops out there bad cops. No man is without flaws. The cops who give in and go bad are such an embarrassment to the police force and the uniform, thus increasing the hate and distrust for the police. There has to be some point of tolerance in the way situations involving bad cops are dealt with, covering up or pardoning them isn't the solution. The power of the uniform and badge cannot be made invincible and Godlike, should that happen then who is going to protect the citizens? Where will they get justice? This will push people to seek their own justice. Every system known is messed up and corrupted,no one can beat the system, this leads to justice seeking the favored, the corruption comes from humans for humans are flawed and power makes men do crazy things. They lose perspective of what their purpose is,as in regards to their position.

My experience with the 106 has been a terrible one. No one is helpful, questions aren't answered and they have passed me around and around. I have gone in person and it has been a waste of time and ineffective. I have been victim of a crime and have evidence yet no detective has been assigned or bothered to answer my questions none the less follow up with me. Its a shame. Its one of the reasons criminal get away with crimes. One should never feel unimportant or that its a waste of time to report a crime. No one even pretended to empathize and didn't even jot done the information I provided. We had camera footage and other evidence yet it was NOT enough. The officers never provided me with any information or complaint number. Calling has been a nightmare. Its evident they do not care or want to help. Its been stressful and disappointing. How can one feel comfortable reaching out and asking for help. You are victim of a crime and feel vulnerable and afraid yet they don't even pretend to understand or care. SERIOUSLY the worst and I hope there is a change in the management.

Does anyone even work the phone at night ? Terrible experience with the NYPD. I called and put a complaint in for a car blocking a driveway at 11 pm Saturday. Connected with 311 gave all the information down and was told to wait for NYPD to show up and ticket the car so it could be towed. I spent an hour waiting for a patrol car to show up and decided to call local precinct 106 when I tried contacting them nobody answered. Eventually, I gave up calling after the 6th time, hearing the automated answering machine, and had to drive my car over on the sidewalk over the curb and onto the street. I gave the owner a fair amount of time before I even contacted the NYPD to move the vehicle, but they must have parked and left out of town. The next morning, I got a text message saying the police showed up and found nothing about a blocked driveway. This was almost 5 hours after I put the complaint in.

I was a dentist in Howard Beach for approximately forty years. When I retired in 2003 I had the responsibility of turning in two handguns. I chose to bring my hand held guns into the 106 PCT. My experience was excellant. The 9 mm Smith and Wesson and the Detective Special was taken in an orderly manner. My license/permit was also dropped off at the PCT. Everything was done in an orderly manner. I realized that I could have sold these guns to a gun dealer but I chose a safer method where my record was safe and clear. I knew some of the police officers because I accepted the PBA Dental Plan and they came to have their Oral Health Updated. The entire proceedure was done in a business like manner. I HAVE NO REGRETS WHAT- SO- EVER........................................Entered 01/19/2013..................IDKDDS

PO: Pom J Perrino. I approach the all way stop sign, two cars go I then make left turn pull over I ran the stop sign. Y'all figure this one out. I also notice that of all precincts in Queens this one leads the most in pullovers and fraudulent ticket issuing every month! "Very Sad" A racist precinct check the the pictures on Facebook and @ the Precinct. No black officers is in it. Which now I see why they so screwed up. Update: Ticket was dismissed incorrect vehicle information & Drive cam showed I stopped. GET A DRIVE-CAM and radar detector for speeding. It's both legal. The best one is in Walmart called the pilot $20 (Drive cam.) Best radar detector Valentine 1. $600 finance available. (It's worth it)

  • Kareem Graham

I reviewed so many negative reviews about this precinct that I felt compelled to write my 1 and only experience there. I walked in to obtain an accident report. I was behind a somewhat long line. Out came an additional officer to work the line. She greeted me, asked her questions, printed my report, answered a follow-up question and then I was gone. I was going to give 4 stars because they didn't pick up any of my previous calls to obtain the report # but they are police officers so if something is more important then no qualms.

  • Kimberly T. Collins

What a joke the 106 precinct is. Way do they even give this cop baggies if they are not going to use them right. It's a joke, the captain of these precinct need to do something about this ignorant ass cops. Clearly he is not doing anything about his officers. They are hard of hearing and all they want to do is be at their desk and eat donuts all day. Office Morrow and his partner need to sit at a desk and do paper work, or go and get hearing aids because they are HARD OF HEARING.

My wife got in to am accident had the child in the car call 911 they say they will send someone out made the call at 9:46pm then call them back at 10:55 they say they will send someone out call back 12:00am and they still sending someone out by police are the worst . At 12:15am the Sergeant stop by with a unmarked car to see y was everyone standing outside we told him then his reply was I am calling it in lol yea right sat and waited for that thanks NYPD for the grate service

  • William Kennedy

I've been calling the precinct for 2 hours regarding a police report for an accident I had. Officers that were on the scene talked to me VERY briefly before leaving without giving me a police report number. Somebody actually just picked up the phone, and then immediately hung up. Seems these people are either terrible at their jobs, or just have absolutely no interest in working. What do they get paid for? 0 stars. The worst.

  • Ghost Shadow

Last night (May 18th) the 106 pct patrolled the Stop & Shop parking lot on Atlantic Ave near Woodhaven Blvd from the Fast & Furious crowd that gathers there every even especially when the weather is nice to blast there car stereo and to drag race up & down & through the parking lot....I wanted to say a very deep THANK YOU because you gave many of us hard working people in the neighborhood a peaceful night of sleep.

  • Toni Camacho

Awesome police officers! They are always very quick to respond to calls! I once had to call in to report some kids fighting on my street and the responding officers arrived within minutes of my call and were able to diffuse the situation so quickly. The officers talked with the kids and genuinely seemed to listen to them. I was really impressed with how the situation was handled. Please keep up the good work!

  • Teodoro Santos

Great joob so faar . I'm trying contact community affairs not successful .the problems on my neiborwood are back again and I need guidance to adress it ( noise, drinking, gathering, double parking, in the street literally last week almost daily bases) please someone answer the fone on community affairs to talk about it ,thanks . Keep up the good work and I keep my rating .

  • Mahendra Singh

I would give this precinct no stars if their was an option. Not only are the officers rude but they don't even respond to incidents fast enough. They don’t try to build relationships with the community, they rather try to intimidate and feel that they are above everyone else. Officers like them are the reason myself and youths do not want to pursue that career.

  • JUSTME LCB

The worse!!! Waiting over 2 1/2 hours for a patrol car to come to a car accident... BTW I'm still waiting!!! I called 911 3-times and they claimed a car was assigned to my case. Called pct, office tells me unfortunately it is what it is??? Really dude?! Then he tells me a new tour started so someone will be here shortly... smh on a Tuesday/Wednesday morning.

  • Brian Misir

Horrible the woman at the desk was unhelpful, inattentive, and from my interaction with her she is not qualified for her position. With my id she put the wrong address, and the wrong phone number. She didn't understand the situation I was explaining to her or what I need. The officers take a long time to come but do their job but aren't very logical.

  • Carol Black

I was in a motor vehicle crash, the officers responded to the scene of the accident were from 106th precinct. Worst experience ever with an officer. The female officer was quite she did not say anything however, the male officer was disrespectful and unprofessional. This male officer is a disgrace to the uniform and needs to be retrain.

  • Dillon Wallace

They need to fire the Asian lady at the counter she's very unprofessional. She tells me go back to Brooklyn why you come here for! (Because of my mailing address) smh!! why do people like this affiliate them selves with Nypd. If you do not want to help the public change your career. I guess I disturbed her quiet time

  • Zeenath

Detective Brown at the 106- how are you a detective but you have no idea how to help someone retrieve incident reports for an ongoing legal matter? You work for the Domestic Violence Unit?? The NYPD is really taking a turn for the worst. Rude, classless and clueless. Why did u ever go into law enforcement?

  • Nishaun Yasin

The worst precinct in queens, took them 4 hours to come to a call about 3 min from the precinct. When they came both officers were on the phone and I had to wait until they finished their personal phone calls to be atrended to, to only be told this is not our department

  • Fuad Hossain

The worst they made a private company tow my car but they didn’t have any information about my car , the police office that called this tow need to know how to do these things, I have to find my cars these guys are stupid, I’d give them 0 but I can’t

  • Shelly Litchfield

Why would a suspect need to be shot so many times? Mr. Tillman was shot by 106th Precinct officers multiple times. Were the police officers protecting themselves or putting themselves in harm's way by standing there and shooting multiple times?

  • ᙝᗋᗬᔣᕼᗋᕼ

Attention please precinct- 106, Officer’s Rank- Marjorie R Frazier but she is Unprofessional,Racist,Rude and Liar Lady, she did lot of mistakes in police report but she don’t care about it, she wasted my time and money, how people trust NYPD?

  • Araceli navarret

HELLO . I HAVE INDIAN PEOPLE NEIGHBOORS BEHIND TO MY HOUSE, THEY ARE MAKING A LOT OF NOISE OF MUSIC 3:00A.M IN THE MORNING AND I NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL AND MY PARENTS NEED TO GO TO WORK. DO YOU COME TO TELL THEM AND SHUT OFF THE MUSIC?

  • raquel karim

This precinct doesn't help! I call them for years and complain about the school parents blocking the street on 109th street and 109th avenue and they don't come or do anything about it! I call 311 and they don't do anything either

  • Jorge Rosario

They mistake your name and lock you up regardless if it's a mistake or not. I would be not surprised if their force is untrained. Most these guys just out their to make revenue for the city. They never go after the real criminals

  • 0131besario

Thank you so much to all the offices in this precinct. Every time that i need they help i always have a cordial, respectfull and fast answer to my needs. ozone park is a better place thanks to this team. from my heart THANK YOU!

  • Cyril Matsoukas

Suffice it to say, if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need help, get a licensed weapon because its your only salvation. These cops are not here to serve the community, they're here to get paid for nothing.

  • Jinhee Son

I visited the precinct to get a police report for my car accident. The first person that i faced when I walked in was very welcoming and kind. The whole staffs were very friendly. And it was quick to get it done.

  • Alexis Gonzalez

We should no even call them police officers, they don't take their job seriously. I reported a robbery and they took 6 hours to come, I call several times , and they took the sweet times to come.

  • Paulie

My parents called 911 to report a broken window. Cops wound up talking to neighbors and found out someone tried to break in. Two police cars came. They were very nice. Thank you 106!

  • Kevin M

Excellent service even when arrested. Excellent response time. Treat you like a king. (Most of the officers) 5/5 except for captain goggins, super small. Won't be arrested again.

  • NPC 69541

My dog bit my neighbors kid. When the police showed up they told my neighbor that their kid should be more careful where he sticks his fingers. Friendly and fast service.

  • angelo bonello

Detective balfe is a real gentleman...need more cops like him out there....thank you sooo much for helping me find my dad...I will never forget you brother...."superman"

  • Pasta Backus

Zero Stars - Instead of foot patrol and or other effective methods of crime fighting they choose to have red light overtime and hangout at the 7-11 parking lot

  • T Dade

When you call to get a report # they put you on hold for 15 mins, maybe more if you don't hang up. When you call back there's no answer from 11am till 4pm
