  • Unapproved Truth

I want the men and women of th 109th to know that their Officer Chris Cox or Brian Cox. is a true blue CRIMINAL LIAR who falsely arrested me on the basis of the NON-EVIDENCE BASED LIE that I "ran through my grandmother's neighbor's backyard". In April of 2014, around 8pm, after studying/looking for jobs at the computers at McGoldrick Library on Northern blvd, I was walking down Depot Road between 158th street and 157th, to return home to my grandmother's house, when a blacked out Chevy Impala with 3 men inside swooped up next to me. Their whole approach was so confrontational and evil that my first thought was to put my fists up as I thought that they were three Flushing goons who wanted to rob me. It turns out that they were 3 goons, they just happened to be employed by the NYPD. These 3 men jumped out of their car, stopped me, frisked me, backed me against the cinder block wall and, I will NEVER FORGET THIS: asked me the insinuating question "You fit the exact description of a perpetrator who was running through that backyard right there. What are you doin running through backyards?". It was like a page out of Corrupt Police Tactics 101. Not ONCE did they even state their names, that they were LEOS, or that they were law enforcement. They took my ID, looked up my name and then LIED saying I had an "open warrant." This caused me considerable confusion and psychological trauma as I am a normal law abiding tax paying citizen of the USA. Based on the lie that I had an "open warrant" they then booked me and I spent 12 hours in central bookings because of his LIE. A week later, I got a letter in the mail saying that I had a restraining order against me, that they somehow got my grandmother's next door neighbor Pam Keating to sign. (Pamela Keating who lives at the intersection of Depot Road and 158th street She is my grandmother's next door neighbor) and I now legally cant be within 500 feet of her house. I never said a word to Mss, Keating in my life. The docket number for the Pamela Keating affair is 2014QNO15595... The date of the falsified restraining order is 5/4/14 this is a FALSE ARREST THAT OFFICER COX FURTHER FALSIFIED INTO A RESTRAINING ORDER. This falsification is now providing a serious stumbling block in my mission of enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. As a part of my attempt to enlist, I have to have all legal documents/citations/tickets faxed from my dad's home in New York to the recruiting station in California (where I now live). My semi-senile father absent mindedly included this FALSIFIED RESTRAINING ORDER in the documents he faxed and it is making life difficult for me when I am only trying to get a career in serving my country that I was born in. My recruiter told me I have to go through the arduous task of getting a sealed document from the New York DA's office sealing and expunging this "restraining order." I will remind you that, with my right hand to God, I never ran through Mrs. Keating's backyard. I have never even. met. her. I. do. not. know. what. she. looks. like. My story is a prime example of when a rookie cop who is not meeting his quota has to resort to terrorizing the life of a fellow citizen just to further his career. That rookie officer's name is Cox and to my knowledge he is still employed with the NYPD. Thank you for reading my True Story and please send positive intentions and prayers that I can get this bullshit behind me so I can enlist in the USMC and serve and defend my nation. Thank you. This whole situation is beyond frustrating and no one ever deserves to be mistreated like this.

what should have been done in the following case on 3-15-2017 on my way back home as i was turning into 129 street by the commercial area between 14 ave and 18 ave--- my side was pretty piled with snow and the other side of the street was clear to the pavement--- a car was coming toward my direction on the cleared side of the street so in mid turn i pulled onto the snow so he could pass by but instead he pulled over to my side of the street right in front of me onto the snow---blocking me ??---i stood there thinking how weird --i then looked behind me and now there was a truck unloading--- i could not understand why this car with 2 men inside would be intentionally pulling in front of me and blocking me in--- this kept me from going anywhere and they stared at me ???---i am an old lady in the car with a handicap sign in the windshield----so i stood there ---and waited for a while--- a truck came along and an Asian man got out and went over to that car and by his gestures was trying to indicate or " guide " them to back up and let me get on my way i had my window open slightly and heard them aggressively speaking but not loud enough to hear what was said--- the Asian man shook his head and got back into his truck and drove away i was trying to figure out what to do when the driver took his seat belt off and got out of their car---walking to my car ---i called 911 as he was knocking on my window ( not tapping ) anyway---911 asked my location and phone number and said they already have a job and they will be there as soon as they can---i told them that they are blocking me from leaving and that the man has approached my car and is knocking on the window---they asked me what he wants from me and i said i am not looking at him and am not opening the window--they repeated that they will be there as soon as they can anyway ---he went back to his car when he saw me on the phone---at one point he turned the wheel of his car just enough so that i could slide off the snow and i drove away to a local parking lot for stores---at one point i even saw them behind me--- eventually, i drove home and quickly went into the garage ---i don't think they knew where i went or live--- WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT--- WHAT SHOULD BE DONE WHEN SOMEONE IS CLEARLY DOING MORE THAN JUST BULLYING BUT HOLDING YOU AGAINST YOUR WILL 2 and a half hours later when i was at home the 911 people called and asked if i was still there at the intersection and if i am OK now--- WOW---NOT helpful at all---what could have happened if i was not able to slide off the snow in just the right way ???

I would like to start from saying that it is useless to ask them for help. Last summer my motorcycle was stolen. I called them to report about that. They arrived 3 hours later. When l said that the bike is stolen they said that it is impossible. Really? I didn't know that. After about an hour of doing something in their car ther reported me "the bad news" that I already knew for 4 hours. After they filled up the paperwork for the insurance company and left. Few days later I called to the precinct asking about the status. What I heard shocked me. They said that the bike is most likely somewhere in Dominican Republic and they not going to look for it. Well I respect honesty but not in this situation. They even could try and pretend that they do they job. But why? Why bother yourself, right? Then I decided to look for my bike myself. Guess what, I found it and guess where in Ozone Park. I did't know that DR is so close. Two guys came. They were selling the bike. When they figured out who was I they tried fight me and eventually took off. Before they left I took pictures of them. After that I found they profile on Facebook. Jesus Im not even a cop. Shame on you police... After I collected all information I emailed to the office who were investigating this and guess what. I was begging him to check these guys. I sent him all infirmation, photos, Facebook page. I did their job and nothing. NOTHING! Here is the lesson I've learned. Never trust them. To give a ticket is not a problem everything else is a hard work. Some of you gonna say that they have more important cases than mine, sure, but ignoring cases like this they raise future criminals. Shame...

After all these years I admired and respected NYPD, officers who made efforts to make our community a safer place. Risking their own lives to go to their work positions without knowing if they would make it back home safe at the end of the day... Until today, I became a victim of Identity Theft, out of blue I got an IRS Certified letter with proof of the small business owner who used my SSN filed illegal documents which caused big penalties and fines on my behalf. The deadline of resolving this issues is April 15th. I could face IRS seizing my assets due to this scam, time is limited so I decided to get help with authorities. I was gonna get a police report on this case and then go to civil court or hire an attorney continuing seeking my justice. Unfortunately, after walking into the precinct first time in my life, police officers at the right corner were so rude, didn’t hear my whole situation and almost yelling me out of the door... I didn’t want to cry in front the officers! I was so scared and never felt this helpless in front of our law enforcement ... I don’t want to become weaker in front of injustice nor another victim of the unfair treatment from one scam to another! I am writing this review trembling in my hot tub with tears over my face right now... I am not crying for this incident, I know in my heart that this will be resolved sooner or later. I am crying because I am hearing my daughter’s loud laugh watching TV downstairs... her world is still innocent and beautiful. Will she facing this kinda crime one day in her future? ... without help? ... without hope?... dark 、cold 、endless injustice... ?

I lost my wallet at 74th st Roosevelt Ave on the 7 train. There were too crowded on the train, there was a tall guy push push push and then he got off at the following station 82nd st. At that time I was so tired and I didn't realize, after got off train on Main st, I found out that my wallet has been stolen, especially my bag lighter than usual. I have everything in my wallet, my Green card, Driver license, $400 Cash, Credit card, Debit card, EBT card, Health insurance card.. etd I didn't witness somebody stole my wallet but! I am very sure someone stole my wallet at 74th st Roosevelt Ave on 7 train. If the police take review checking the inside 7 train camera, my wallet will be find. *******I didn't sleep last whole night, and I do not eat until now. I did police report last night. But I don't if it's useful. I don't know how does the police help my case and I don't know who has the right take looking 7train inside the camera. If someone take review check the camera, it will be find my wallet definitely. God, please help me. I hope thief took my money leave with himself but give the wallet back to me. That will be great! I called this police office try to get my Report number, and there was police officer pick up the phone. He was very nice and patient not like several police officer. Hope they can help me to find my wallet thank u!!!!

Walked in to give a cyber crime complaint with written letter and proof copies. P.O. Loria (25799) attended. Received my letter and quickly given back and told delete your mobile app and download again.. my complaint is about long term cyberstalking, cyber intrusion into my mobile apps, uploading obscene pictures, with proofs copies. I twice told this complaint relating to NYPD cybercrime services and told i mentioned NYS penal law in letter. P.O response was “mobile app may have security; if not having security, that is the problem and to contact mobile app..” Other repeated crime segments mentioned in letter w.r.t. hacking and still it’s not the best of or forward/advise toward NYPD cyber crime division. i earlier did a IC-3 complaint and not received any response and i thought this time P.O. should given resolving response and solution to the problem. Very highly disappointed with the response and feeling down. I may have to get in contact with attorney to the soonest. Smart answers i have to consider it? or cyber security team not known by this P.O? it was clear set forth and i don’t appreciate their following.. i still suffer with stalking alarm..

I am a physician and required fingerprint cards to be made for medical licensing. I called the precinct to determine if appointments were required and I was told to "just walk-in". So on a vacation day I decided to stop by the precinct to get my fingerprint cards made. I spent 2 hours in the precinct before my finger prints were started. I was told repeatedly that someone would be with me shortly so I waited those 2 hours as opposed to returning at a later time or going to another site for fingerprinting. I thought this was an extremely tardy and unprofessional response. They were not busy to the point that they could not help me, they just chose not to help. I would rather they have told me that it would not be possible to have fingerprints done in a timely manner. This would atleast have enabled me to make an educated decision to either 1) wait or 2) go to another location for this service.

People going to be shocked when I give 5 stars to a Police precinct. We as people, very quick to write negative reviews when we have a bad experience anywhere. When we have a good experiences, we are pretty slow to give compliments. This could be totally isolated or luck. I came here with a boom truck from out of State for VIN/Mileage verification. I double park my truck since there is no parking on Union st. Went in to be quick in and out. Young female officer/cadet didnt know what I was talking about. Then female P.O. Williams, badge 2407 over heard the conversation. She said, I know about it. Came outside to the truck with me and verified the VIN and mileage. Filled necessary paper work and I was out of there in 10 minutes. Meanwhile I was in 111 precinct in Bayside. They had me there for a while and didnt know what to do. So, they didnt do it. Thats why I came to 109th.Good work officer.

  • Lu Spar

This is not so much a review but an observation. I went to the precinct on Sunday, May 10th in the afternoon. There was an officer on his cell phone texting in the outer vestibule and not until I had opened the second set of doors and walked into lobby did he ask who I was and why I was there. Next there was a young lady at the desk on her cell phone texting. She did not look up until I spoke up. Finally outside on Union Street two police officers on patrol were walking and one of them was texting. I just want to say that this behavior of texting gives an unfavorable impression to anyone observing the officers. It is unprofessional. I would also think if a police officer is texting then they are not paying attention to their surrounding environment which is dangerous for them.

They don’t do anything for our area. Crime rates have gone up over the years. Often blocks traffic with their vehicles parked in the middle of the street. The attitudes of clerks are absolutely terrible and not willing to help our citizens. Reports do not have any follow ups. Their hardest working force is the traffics section where they unrelentingly hand out unreasonably high fine traffic tickets to the working poor in this area they oversee. They go around falsifying parking tickets stating people parked too close to a fire hydrant and count them by the feet when it’s clearly one vehicle’s length away and all the meanwhile they just stay in the shade all day relaxing and waiting for people’s parking hour to be over.

First off I'm former Military, served this country extremely well, attacked 6 times in Iraq , hit by an IED.. I keep my CCW , DOD identification in my car window.. I've been parking in the same spot for 5 months "0" ticket well tonight with nothing to do some officer writes a "BS" ticket scribbled out which you "CAN'T READ" guess what I'm not the one I'll see you in court! Former US MARINE/Special Operation I dot all my T"s...This is a FXXING JOKE! I've trained many NYPD OFFICERS AND PROTECTED THEM IN THE EARLY DAYS IN IRAQ.. I took a picture of your ticket , measured the distance and sent it to 20 NYPD.. There shocked you would write this... See you in court... FYI I'm speaking with Internal Affairs Manhattan..

Blocked by the 109 on Twitter after saying what a crappy job they did when dealing with domestic disturbance and when they failed to deal with the offenders (several times) asking the neighbors causing the disturbance to be courteous (it was 3AM) resulted in near violent confrontation. This is why NYC needs less strict gun control since the NYPD is not interested in dealing with issues in the community especially against drugged up idiots. During the most recent incident I saw the police cruiser just roll on by despite the people causing a massive disturbance at 4:18AM. They pulled out of the 7-11 and rolled up in front of their house but nothing was done and they rolled on by. Corruption maybe?

  • KRISTAL KEOHANE

I was robbed for over 4K with my daughter. From the police, to the detectives, to the sergeants and lieutenants- I was neglected. It’s been a whole week and nothing. Not one lead. It took OVER 48 hours for them to FINALLY look at the video, & I still don’t know what was the outcome. No one called me or contacted me. I called 109 almost every day and they didn’t help me Just annoyed that I kept asking for Detective Scannel. NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE. Shame on you. Shame on everyone to neglected this case. My daughter asks me Every Day if they caught that man ! He has our keys and address- that’s not enough for the NYPD to react ?! I hope after this complaint, there’s REAL change.

  • Shen Guo

Ridiculously rude and unprofessional. The women at reception doesn’t care, doesn’t let you talk and genuinely doesn’t want to help. Absolutely most disgusting experience I ever encountered when interacting with another human being. When we wanted to report a identity theft crime but wasn’t even allowed to explain ourselves and kept getting interrupted and”lectured” about how naive generally public go to police for help when anything happens. It is especially unfortunate when you at a position of vulnerability and looking for help. It almost seems like the department purposely putting obnoxious people paid below minimum wage at the reception to block people away.

  • Danny Sheehan

I called to discuss the danger of 4 dogs running loose in memorial field across from ps21q. The men with them cursed at me when I explained that i was concerned because of the children including my granddaughters who use the playground and park and who walk through going to and coming from school. The men cursed me, told me it's none of my business and said they don't care. The officer I spoke with listened with patience, asked specific questions and helped me to understand how the 109 and the community can work together to help make the park and playground safe.

  • Joseph Kim

Just called them, and they are SO RUDE up front. Like I asked them politely, “Would I have to make an appointment in order to have my fingerprints taken?” And he answered me with, “Just come before 1” and hang up.. Like wth? In addition, I called BECAUSE I went there yesterday only to find out that the specialist who normally takes someone’s fingerprints went off duty early, and I asked someone there when he would be availabke tomorrow (which was today), and she told me anytime from 10-4. But I called and now he says before 1? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Peter DiNicola

I was in upstate NY and saw a suspicious person on video cameras at my parents house whiched seemed like an attempted burglary. Called 911 and they reported in minutes. They called me when on scene and checked checked the entire house for signs of a break in. They responded in minutes and we're there when I needed them. To all the folks complaining about attitudes, parking spaces, and tickets... get a life and give these folks credit for risking their lives to protect you ungrateful selves.

  • Marilyn Harris

I live in Dallas Texas I called the precinct to see if they could see a car to check on a elderly friend. My mom and I spoke to this friend everyday. So on Wednesday 8/10/16 Around 6:00pm central time. The officer keep stating that they wouldn't kick the door in because I wasn't family. I understood that I just wanted them to send someone to check to see if he was okay. I was informed that they would call me back. As of today 8/13/16 still haven't heard from New York Finest.

  • CC Baer

Lazy and incompetent. There's a person renting out illegal parking spaces in an alleyway, blocking access to private property and I have tried numerous times to get them to come and do their jobs - they always just close the complaint ticket, saying that the offenders aren't there. Except those illegal parkers are still there and haven't moved; I haven't even seen any police come by. Useless - I wouldn't even care so much if wasn't for the fact that my taxes pay for these fools.

  • Gail C.

very disappointed . you're being directed to their location to be assisted and then when you call, and FINALLY GET SOMEONE TO ANSWER they send you to someone else then again you have to be lucky to have your call answered and when they do all you hear is a lady laughing at the back ground picks up the phone and hanging up time after time , how you're supposed to be helped if no one cares, thank god its not a life threatening matter because if it was i feel so for that person

  • Mellissa Johnson

Officer Craig I believe picked up the line a was very helpful with trying to locate my husbands accident report. He gave me a website where I can look up the report and even a second number after not being able to locate the report. The 109th was very quick to respond to the scene of the accident and waiting at the scene, making sure my husband was safe until EMS arrived. The 2 officers were so professional and empathetic to the situation, even making sure I was ok.

  • Kim Chong

One of the police officers ask me to hold for a second. I am keep holding the phone. Still seem no one get back to me. 20 minutes ! That’s why is anything happened who would like to rely the police to solve the problems ? I had the case it was happened on Oct . Need to find out who is handling my case ! That’s the 109 Precinct services for the people’s. I’m abandoning the waiting. More then 30 minutes......

  • Young Yu

rude.... racist.... unhelpful. My wife went to pick up an accident report, officer in the front told her station is closed, really? Police station is closed? They also got the report wrong. And they make ypu go around in circles if you are asian, telling us to come back at a different time only to find out the officer we need to talk to is gone by that time. Totally unprofessional.

  • Courtney

Years ago, Detective Sartori or whatever his name was is extremely rude! We filed a report to him and he asked us a repetitive question "How do you know this person signed this check?!" We answered him many times but he kept asking us the same question over and over again! I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS POLICE STATION!! Staff and officers are extremely rude!!

  • Adalisa Buitrago

Bureaucracy官僚作风 Institutional corruption 体制腐败 Institutional bloated 机构臃肿 low efficiency 效率低下 On the street, I often see police cars do not hit the direction lights, know the law and break the law, do whatever they want! The US government has a group of licensed hooligans!

  • Ana K E

If you are familiar with the area you are well aware parking is a nightmare. I called because a building worker was holding spots illegally. The officer I spoke said "then keep looking for other parking". So I guess now it's ok to put orange cones to save parking spots.

  • Katarzyna Bielen

I have never been treated so badly by the police before. I called 911 at 930pm. It is now 2:45am and no one has shown up. I have been here alone, in the middle of no where, by myself, for over 5 hours and no one has been able to come. How is that possible?

  • Marwa Ibr

This place is the worst place ever . I went to ask for help and they’re talking about arresting me instead, the guy in the front I don’t even understand how hired him! He looks Psycho And was really rude never going there again !
