I saw Dr. Mike with by 3 month old puppy. The whole experience from staff to Veterinarian to exit was very high quality. As a person with severe anxiety I felt very at ease. The staff was very welcoming and kind, ditto the Veterinarian, all were pet owners or demonstrated deep wells of expertise and professionalism. I had a bad experience with this vet 5 years ago and decided to give them another chance since the doors were still open and I had heard recent testaments of great experiences. All concerns I had were heard and considered and examined carefully. Dr. Mike was just awesome and cared for my little buddy with genuine care and empathy. He was very straightforward and yet approachable. I had never shook a vets hand after caring for my animals, mostly because of personal social anxieties, but I did this time, and I plan to make sure he is who I bring my pup to in the future. You can really tell that every person genuinely cares for every animal in their care. Interactions with other animals present were of the same level of quality of care. Lots of great services available, that I cannot yet vouch for, but I will add more when I inevitably do. The waiting room is very pet friendly, and very conducive to seating for being good safety distance for coronavirus and masks are required. The office is a little tight if it is ever crowded, so definitely for the best. Make sure to bring a leash if your pet requires to be seated near other pets though. I recommend making appointments well ahead of time, the office is most effecient that way. Update 10/28/2023 After 10 years I may be exploring other options. I can still vouche for the vet care, but I recently had one of my worst customer service experiences ever and its made me a little shy about trusting my pets with the staff. Came in for my normal trio for my two dogs. My larger dog had not changed my small puppy had gained some pounds but was no more than 5 to 10 more. I asked for both and mentioned the puppy was going great and has gained a few pounds. In the 1 month she had last been in. Representative shut down the purchase and refused to give me medication for the puppy until weighed. I live 30 minutes away and said no problem and would have my wife weigh her so we can see if I was off. Rep refused this and said I would have to bring her in that was policy because I wasnt exactly sure of the weight and a phone confirmation wasnt good enough. I asked why they would trust one dog and not the other. The rep then tried to get the weight of the other dog and suggested maybe I should bring him in. I realized at this point she was trying to make my experience worse so I left to retrieve my puppy for weighing. I am a disabled veteran. Getting around is very hard for me and every interaction is always challenging as I shake when my nerves get rattled and it causes people to become concerned. I made the hour long round trip to bring my puppy in to weigh. Once inside we weighed no problem and she wasnt even in the weight class requiring a new prescription. The rep apparently not satisfied that she wasted my time went right into telling me how next time I could weigh her at home and only worry about it if she was over 22 pounds. I was so flabbergasted that she had put me through this only to recommend exactly what I had been trying to do in the first place. It felt very passive aggressive. I had to ask the rep to stop interacting with me as she seemed to aim for contention and conflict. I finished purchasing the medication with the rep she appeared to be training and went on my way. Again, this is one experience, but worthy of note as much as the praise they otherwise have rightly recieved from me. The reps attitude and confrontational spirit is not the typical experience, but no other staff present stepped in either despite me looking for help with my gaze from people I had interacted with for years. Overall, just a very disheartening experience. Reps could use training on not attempting to escalate with customers in order to justify meanness.

Would not recommend for end of life care for your pet. We knew our 16 year old kitty was rapidly declining and we called right after opening at 7am and explained our situation and that he needed to be put down. The receptionist was not very kind and said they don't do appointments and to come as early as 9. We came at 9 and were either the first or second ones there; she recognized my kitty's name (Jingle) and took us back to a room right away. We proceeded to wait for 45 minutes and then went and asked her if we would be seen soon; she stated they would be with us when they could be. 45 minutes later my cat was clearly at the end and gasping for air; this is right when the vet tech walked in and her eyes went wide seeing my cat in distress. She immediately called for the vet as my cat started seizing and she was having to hold him down on the table. The vet came in and saw there was no time to exam and he asked if he had permission to put him down (what we were there for) and he ran to get the meds and had to give them as my cat was seizing on the table. It was a very traumatic experience and exactly what we were hoping to avoid. We wanted to give our kitty a peaceful end to his life, but the hour and a half delay to see us turned this into a disastrous situation. They still charged the $25 exam fee even though there was no exam; I even asked if this was necessary and was told it was mandatory. We were very confused what took so long and were told that they had no idea what we were there for. Even though we called ahead of time and told the receptionist our kitty needed to be put down and again 45 minutes later reminded her, there was apparently zero communication with the staff. I left the clinic sobbing and in distress and so upset my kitty had to pass this way. I added a 2nd star because the vet tech was very kind afterward and apologized. I talked with a neighbor who has been taking her animals here for many years - she said this clinic changed owners a couple years ago and has gone downhill since. The tech was nice, but they apparently don't communicate with their front desk staff and I would not recommend them for end of life care. I also don't understand how they see their customers as a walk in clinic. You would think it would be order of coming in but apparently it is not. This was my first time here and even though it is around the corner from my house I will never be returning.

The receptionists are hit and miss - you either get someone who listens with no emotions and could careless or you get someone that listens and shows they care. Front desk service is not well communicated with other staff in regards to what is going on. I was told that my cats prescription is ready so I went to pick it up only to be told that it wasn't ready and they need at least 24hrs to fill it. I left and went back later after my husband called them again and was told once again that it is ready. I get there and tell the front desk this and she is looking and looking and cannot find it. It ended up being in a slightly different spot than where they typically keep ready for pick up prescriptions. Wasted my time having to go out there more than once because the staff are not well communicated with each other. I've taken my cat here several times and it always turns out to be distressing. My cat, granted, is not an easy cat when it comes to the vet but the vet technicians make it very clear they are not trying or offering anything that could be done to make it easier for my cat. Instead they want to sedate him every single time without fail just for bloodwork!! The last time I took my cat they explained to me to drop him off as early as 9am for the bloodwork and pick him back up later. They informed me once I dropped my cat off and took him to the back that the bloodwork wont take place as soon as he is dropped off as they are actively taking walk-ins until around 12pmish. So my cat who very clearly does not do well at the vets is more than likely sitting in his carrier or has been transferred into a metal kennel and has to remain in that retained space for an exceeded amount of time when instead I could've brought him there later and know he would be comfortable at home until that time. It stressed me out all day thinking of my cat just sitting in a small box for hours on end for absolutely no reason!! I am done bringing my cat here. It's been made very clear that the staff and technicians are not considerate to you or your pet.

I came in after my dog started having bloody diarrhea. We ran the necessary tests to ensure he didn't have Parvo, and then he was seen by the doctor. I thought it was a little weird that the doctor didn't want to talk about the bloody diarrhea but instead wanted to try to sell me flea medication and other preventatives. I am not opposed to using those, but my dog has been on flea prevention that was working fine until the weather got warmer and I was already ordering flea prevention. I explained this and the doc continued to try to push his own products. This set off a red flag in my mind. I came in to have my dog treated for bloody diarrhea and the doc is running up a bill before hes even done anything related to my dogs medical issues. So I was already on edge. But then the doctor informed me that we were looking at a $400 bill for about 6 different medications. I had a feeling that the doc was over-prescribing in order to run the bill up. I started to ask questions, which the doctor didn't answer, and he then started talking to me about rabies. I wanted to know why he was prescribing so much medication and his response was about a rabies vaccine. Again, I thought this was suspicious. If my dog needs 6 medications, please explain why and what they are. He didn't want to do that. I told him I was going elsewhere and then he started threatening to have me fined for not getting the rabies vaccine that I didn't want to get until my dog was treated. The doctor here is a money grubbing quack. I paid for my visit and the Parvo test and went elsewhere, and sure enough, the second vet I visited prescribed three medications at a total of 100 dollar, and I ended up adding the rabies shot because I trusted that I wasn't being scammed. This guy doesn't care about your animals, he cares about using your ignorance and your love for your pets to part you from money that you probably work a lot harder to earn than this quack does.

I brought my cat here because she has an upper respiratory infection. Her eyes were very irritated and swollen so Dr. Pat, was going to give her a shot and antibiotics to take home with me. While the vet tech came in, he got her weight to determine what and the amount of medicine that should be given to her which he said she was 11 pounds. The doctor comes back in to give her the shot and in the proccess of all of this, the vet technician which they wouldn't tell me his name squeezed my cats neck so hard that an insane amount of blood started squirting and pouring out of both of her eyeballs. Mind you, while giving any animal a shot you should never grab them by their neck. Also she already had pressure built up so why would you nearly strangle her causing more pressure to her head and eyes. I had to rush my baby to the emergency room where they told me my cat could possibly go blind from this. Her weight was 10.2 pounds, also not what I had been told from this place. This place is very unprofessional and I am not exaggerating any of this. I do not recommend anyone to bring their pet here if they are looking for professional care for their loved one. My cat, my boyfriend, and I have all been traumatized from this experience. I am going to school to be a veterinarian. I know how unprofessional and wrong this was. I could go on about my experience but I have already discussed the main issue. For the love of your pet, your pets health, and safety please take them somewhere else.

I call over 3 weeks ago and asked how much it was to board my 2 dogs. I was told a price $18 per day per dog and that I would have to pay for bathing (price depending on weight of dogs) also it was required so I decided to go ahead and book for 2 nights. I also asked what was required they told me up to date shots and records was all. No specific shots were mentioned. The day comes and my son drops off my dogs and he was told that they don’t have up to date shots so he calls me and puts me on the phone with the receptionist and I ask why shots don’t they have all are up to date per my vet. They said well we require the influenza vaccine and another vaccine and that it would cost me $60 each dog. So of course I have to pay it we were headed out of town in an hour and I didn’t have time to find someone to watch them. I asked them to please call me with a total Saturday they did. So now a boarding that was to be $150 for 2 dogs is now $250. I can’t say no we are out of town. So today I go pick up my dogs and I am ready to pay $250 and now they say it is $350 and the girl told me wrong and she is new. I used to go to this office all the time before we moved and was going to start again but after this I am not. If I was going to pay this much I would have put them in a real boarding place like pet paradise where I could see them play. They treated them good but keep going up on price I Am DONE

I've been taking my dogs here for over 10 years and have never had an issue until recently. The last few months my dogs have been fighting after a neighbor's dog attacked one of them. The vet wanted to wait to see if her anxiety calmed down before giving her anything and two more fights happened which cost me a couple thousand dollars before he'd give her anxiety meds. Well I called to have them refilled and they told me it'd be$110 for the two but one is Prozac and I know for a person they're only $10... so I asked if I could have them filled elsewhere and they said yeah no problem. Well petmeds called and stated normandy refused to let them fill them telling them I needed to go in there. Fyi both meds shipped are only 11 at petmeds.... well I call normandy and the lady was rude saying it's $25 per prescription to get anything they have elsewhere. I explain I don't have that right now and she said oh well that's their policy.. aka they don't care about animals only money. I asked to speak to the vet or owner and she said no. I said so you'll lose 5 patients over this and she said yes.. the bottles say 13 refills and she stated they'd only put 2 on the paper they give me meaning I'd have to pay them$50 every 2 months.. OK I'm done...I called Whitehouse animal in tears and they're willing to help us... thank God

This Doctor who I enjoyed taking my pets too discriminated against me today because of a past place of employment. I took a job somewhere like most of us needing a job . as soon as I realized this job was not taking care of their animals I quit. I have since two years later not been affiliated with that place I worked at for a small three months. Doctor Pat took care of my pets for a long time and apparently took care of my past employers pups. I had a sick cat today who was at Normandy for 11 hrs today only during our med discussion and looking over my chart he says he can't help me and walks out. I asked for an explanation and I'm hurt. I'm a mother and animal lover and was clearly discriminated on today and I'm hurt how someone's actions effects me today. He left my cat in pain without antibiotics. How can I know what a past employer does. I'm a mom and pet owner who now owns my own pet salon. He has been treating my pets for the last two years before noticing today going over my chart together that he wrote a small note that I used to work for so and such. How does that matter! I can't believe how I was treated today! I always recommended my salon customers , family, and friends to Normandy Animal Hospital UNTIL today. Discrimination sucks and it was a very embarrassing moment this vet place me in today.

Me and Teddy have had to, unfortunately, visit a Vet 2X in last tens days. I had just moved to this part of Jacksonville, very tight on money (but I would starve for him or my cat, Albert), and beside myself over issues that Teddy seemed to all of a sudden develop. Without going into detail, circumstances, etc., I walked into this clinic last Saturday and Dr George and his staff treated the most prevalent issue. Took Teddy back in this morning for an issue that was there Saturday but not the most prevalent Saturday. This condition escalated over past week while prevalent issue was resolving. Dr George spent, what I think, was an enormous amount of time with me. Dr George and the staff are highly sensitive to the love we have for our pets which is the number one reason I praise them. May God bless this clinic and their work. Thank you Normandy Animal Hospital. Update: clinic called and left voicemail first thing this AM to check on Teddy. I do not want to clog up the phone lines so will give update here. He slept all through the night. Is already acting more like himself after 2 doses of drops in his eye and actually played fetch for a few minutes this morning. Grandma slept well also. Thank you and have a great pet day

I was very disappointed in my experience here. We took our dog in for two reasons - he had been itching profusely for awhile and recently he had been acting as he typically does when he’s sick. I spoke to the vet and told him about my concerns for him being sick and he spoke to me in a demeaning way and told me I was being overprotective despite this being the first time he’d met my dog and I know my pet and I know when he’s sick. For the itching he immediately diagnosed it as low grade dermatitis and had us buy two different types of medicine from him insisting it would solve the issue. We finished the medication and it did not help at all and we ended up having a pet store employee tell us it was likely a food allergy (it was) after speaking with us for 5 minutes. I’m disappointed I had to pay so much money for a completely inaccurate diagnosis from a professional about a problem a pet store employee easily was able to solve (for free). I also am disappointed at the way I was spoken to by this veterinarian, it was rude and unnecessary. I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

Best Animal planning around promise handsdale. I've taken my pets too many veterinarians since I've had dogs on my life. Dr.Michael deutsch is absolutely. He is very professional, smart, funny, and really knows how to put you at ease when you are deeply concerned about your pets health. He takes the time to explain what is going on and how to fix it. I will continue going there for my fur babies care. I consider him my doctor now. Thank you Dr.Michael Deutsch for the caring for my pet today. Now to rave about the young ladies who also helped Dr. Deutsch today. You ladies were so kind, welcoming and showed great concern for Mr. Kuhl. Every person in the office had smiles and made me feel certain that I made the right choice by choosing to visit your office today. Thank you!!! My dog had to have a tumor removed from his eye lid. Dr. Deutsch did an amazing job. Wow, is all I can say. I will continue to see him for any and all care for my fur baby.‍❤️‍❤

Me and my aunt took her Yorkie here to have a surgery not only did it cost over $1,000 when they brought her out the cone was so tight around her throat that we had to take her back in because she could not breathe and they had to loosen it. Then we came back July 22nd to get her Staples removed only to find out yesterday September 24th that there was still a staple inside her (see pics). so we had to drive all the way back up there and we asked what was going to be done about it the doctor ignored us continue to talk about how great she looked. when we brought it back up he just looked at us and didn't offer to do anything but take the staple out. When my aunt talked about getting a lawyer since she paid over $1,000 for a job to be done that we have had nothing but problems with he point blank side do what you have to do and nothing was offered not even an apology. So if you care about your animals the way we care about ours I would recommend going anywhere but here

Dr was friendly and took time 5o explain things about our cats. The only thing I am disappointed about is the visit started out at $50.00 for their office visits together and less than 5 minutes it was over $300.00 and the vet hadn't even been in the room yet.Items were bring added that we didn't need and didn't come for. We wanted to know how much the Revolution flea drops were BEFORE we would think about getting it. That was already on the bill BEFORE we asked the vet tech the price. After 2 shots of medicines each and the office visits it ended costing us $274.00. You make the decisions for your animals, don't let anyone else make them for you. My animals didn't need checking for feline leukemia and they don't need rabies shots because the Never go outside. And we didn't want the Revolution. So we had to ask her to remove all that 'extra' unnecessary items. It would have been close to $400.00. So be careful and get only what you really need.

These people are disgusting and "specialize" in the mutilation of dogs. I couldn't believe when they asked about having my dog's ears cropped, like, who does that?! No one who loves animals would ever offer purely cosmetic procedures, I'm appalled by this inhumane practice and they should be ashamed of themselves. Even in their response to my review they show that they care more about catering to owners than preserving the health of animals. Breed standards are meaningless, what matters is animal health, so I remain disgusted with their entire practice. As if anything the American Kennel Club is valid, they're an outdated organization that prioritizes awful, arbitrary standards over the wellbeing of animals. Filter their reviews to see the lowest and you'll see that this is a sham of an organization that regularly mishandles, misdiagnoses, and mistreats animals. Shameful.

  • Ambizness

Update- Do not take your animal here. They always have different people in and out now. They have made several mistakes and do not care to help with their mistakes. New owners have ruined this place for me. I used this place for over 20 years and never will be back now. I have been coming here for many years. Not only is this place located by my house it is very clean and affordable. Both doctors are wonderful and the newest addition to the team Dr. George is the best veterinary physician I have ever brought my fur baby to in my entire life. He is so good with pets and people. He's very knowledgeable and caring always remembers everything about you and your pet. I recommend this animal hospital to all my friends and family. I have two appointments this week for my teddy bear Destiny and my miniature poodle Preston. My cat Elvira also goes here as well. A++❤️

This clinic is amazing. I called all over town on Sunday morning trying to find a vet that would see my pigeon for an emergency. I called and spoke with a lady on the phone after I told her what was wrong she said to come in. 30 minutes later I was there and as I was being checked in my pigeon passed away. The staff was amazing with me and my milk they still took her back to check her. I fell to the floor crying in front of everyone. They took the time to make sure that I was okay and they took wonderful care of my girl. Not only were the staff amazing but so were the patients. A lady with a boxer came outside to check on me (I wish I would have got her name) and as I left I was crying outside and another lady gave me the biggest hug. I will definitely be coming back with my other animals. They made a tragic and heartbreaking situation much easier.

I just recently started bringing my dog Summer to Normandy Animal Hospital. They have taken great care of Summer so far, but my experience with some of the staff has not been the best(attitude, lack of knowledge). However, Precious Williams is THE BEST staff associate there, and she goes ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure all of your needs are met. She cares for your baby as if they belong to her. When you bring your dog to a hospital, you need this type of service to feel at ease and confident in the process. We absolutely adore Precious, and will forever be grateful for her outstanding commitment and consistency in caring for our dog Summer. Thank YOU so much Precious :) The Dr. and his team did an AMAZING job with Summer's ear cropping surgery. I Definitely recommend Normandy Animal Hospital if you are interested in this service.

If i could give this place zero stars..... It all started with my cat getting sick. They just said oh hes just got a stomach bug. And to give him antibiotics. He would be fine for a month, and then it would start all over again. I suggested the option of testing to see if it's something more serious. They said no. For over a year, they milked me financially dry. Then my cat took a turn for the worse, and the day before he died, they finally started testing. The day he died, I had taken him to this vet, and they euthanized him while i went to the bathroom even though I explicitly asked to be in the room and they had agreed to wait for me to return. I was devastated to say the least. I will steer everyone I know away from this awful practice. I am surprised that they are even still in business.

I have always taken my dog here because they were reasonably priced, compassionate to your pet and friendly pretty girls working up front. My last visit they told me it was to late to bring my dog in and I informed them I had called yesterday and confirmed what time I could bring my dog in. I had already drove to the place and they agreed to take the dog. I arrive to pick up my dog after receiving a call to do so . I was over charged and the blonde girl seemed to be in no hurry to find out why or to give me the amount that I was over charged because she was busy doing her homework on the computer. She said I will just give you a credit and I told her I don't want a credit. My dog was still wet and and smelled after having a bath. I won't be back and I have been a customer for over 11 yrs.

  • Michelle Gelinas

I brought my sick kitty, Sirius, here after a rough night. While I wasn't able to treat him during our visit, I did feel a little bit better about bringing him home and hoping for the best. They truly only charge you $25 for thr visit. Anything they do, like vaccines and treatments, will cost extra. They don't have a payment plan other than the care credit. I didn't qualify for that. An update on Sirius, while I was still very concerned that night, the next morning he woke me up like he normally does and has been 100% his normal self again. Seems it was just a bug. I would bring my kitties back here again. The staff was very nice and caring. They even recommended another place I could take him if things got worse. And Dexter called the next day to check on Sirius as well.

I absolutely love the vet at this location. He's very knowledgeable, friendly & always gives me tricks to help my pets take their meds easily. I've been been numerous times w/a few pets & have NEVER had any complaints w/the vet. Unfortunately, the ladies at the desk are another story. I've dealt w/3 of them (don't know how many there are). 1 is polite, considerate & friendly...love her. The other 2 ALWAYS act like they don't see me when I'm standing right in front of them! They just finish what they're doing before acknowledging me (1 time for 10 min!). I don't mind waiting, but it's just so rude to not just say "I'll be right w/you" or something. Then I'm dealt w/in a very cold way, like I'm an imposition. BUT, I love the vet so much, that I just deal w/the rudeness.

  • Nathalie Boyd

Been taking my dog there for years. Recently my dog was diagnosed with bladder cancer. I called to talk to the vet a couple of days later and they couldn't be bothered to return my call. It's very upsetting & emotional to receive that diagnosis & of course people are going to have questions. I decided to contact a cancer specialist who wanted to speak with the vet ..not only would they not return the call but they were extremely rude to the cancer specialist when she called them. The cancer specialist told me I'm sorry but I would not bother to take my pet back to them..after spending 1500 there in 1 week you would think they would a little more cooperative. Please save yourself the heartache go somewhere else like Avondale

  • Michael Groeschel

Inconsistent. Unfortunately this veterinarian office has one of the best vets my family has ever experienced and also one of the very worst. One doctor actually provides proper treatment to your animal and explanation of treatment. While the other one sends you home with a trick or treat bag of medication to give your pets knowing you’ll be back in two months with the same issue. He also will provide no feedback on what treatment he is doing to your animals or cost associated with it. If you’re considering this location to be the caregiver to any of your pets I would first validate which doctor is on duty and do not allow anyone with the last name of Wright to even enter the room.

Dr. Mike is awesome. I had a hard day with my 14 year old pup. She has a tumor that has grown rapidly and filled with fluid. He was very comforting and did her exam on the floor where she was comfortable. He did not pressure me to spend money on unnecessary things and assured me that I was making the right decisions when it comes to her end of life care. That was invaluable. He even asked about my other dog he treated months ago. He is passionate about what he does and is very personable and easy to talk to. He also took his time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. I never felt rushed or like he was trying to move on to the next. Dr. Kahlil is also wonderful.

i have gone to normandy animal clinic for 35 years. dr pat wright was always wonderful. he previously put 2 of my dogs to sleep and was very comforting for me and my dog since he retired my dog has had to see dr mike deutsch. i took my 16 year old dog to be put to sleep yesterday and my experience was horrible. not sure what had happened to the dr before i got there but he was really rude and showed no compassion for my situation. when i told him the procedure he was using was something i was not used to he got VERY rude by raising his voice at me. he was cold and i felt rushed during a difficult time. i was so tramatized i will never own another animal after this experience.

Dr. Wright has been taking care of our hybrids for over 10 years. He has always been very good with them, he saved the life of our first dog who was riddled with heart worms, and it did not cost me hundreds of dollars. When we finally had to put her down because of hip dysphasia, he was as sad as we where. He has taken care of all of our Wolf Hybrids and when our female got sick, he didn't try to get a bunch of money out of us by doing surgery when he knew she wouldn't make it, even though he could have. He told us like it was. He's fair, honest, kind, and down to earth I live in St Augustine now and I Still take my Wolves to Dr P.

I had scheduled an appointment for the Dr to look at Jack's belly which was obvious he had allergies, all said an done they wanted $300.00 an I still had to figure out what he was allergic to. Plus bring him back the following week to continue the process, this was exactly the same thing they did to another dog we had which landed close to 1000.00. In the meantime I had sat outside for a total of 3 hrs. I declined the procedure an drove to pet smart. I was helped by a very nice lady, bought 2 products cost $35.00 and Jack was all cleared up by the next day. Don't go here it is a huge scam and using our pets to gouge our wallets.

Had a puppy die in my wifes arms ! I took my dog here for deliverying my puppies. The sign said it can handle serious dog surgeries, but they lied on the sign and to my face! Took my dogs here 5 different times, and no one told me they couldnt handle deliverying puppies. 1 bull terrier died, but they did refer us to an animal hospital, and my dog with her puppies almost died. Had 5 out of 6 puppies, it could of been way worse, shouldnt had to deal with this. I guess they were scared of getting sued again. This place is only for shots for animals. Don't trust them! Cheap prices because they don't know what they are doing!

Should of posted this way earlier, the vet is so old didn’t know my dogs name, probably needs to retire..bunch of kids running around they don’t care especially knowing that when I came to pick up my dogs ashes she very happily told me to have a nice day when giving me the ashes...No sympathy??wrong staff everything is off. I feel like cause they’re young it’s just a check no sympathy and the sad thing about it is my family has been going to this place my whole life with our pets...but after years things change new people come in, don’t waste your money on this place...highly do not recommend!!!!!!!

  • Justin Rivera

Do yourself a favor don’t spend hard earn money here at all I mean it don’t listen to any good review.. they sent my dog home to die told me come back tomorrow for more X-rays mind you are 210 a piece.. my gut told me to go first coast no more homeless pets my dog was rushed in for emergency surgery where I was told he was hours away from dieing.. this place is for your money idc what they say no more homeless pets works with you on anything price wise or anything my dog was being saved before they asked me 2 questions about how much money I had ! Thank god for them ! And hopefully you’ll go there to

  • glenda bell

Long story short, took my dog on a Sunday to be seen, they told me a parvo test $74 was protocol before we entered the building, after the test they tell she is positive for parvo and an estimated bill for treatment, I know parvo had much experience with it so I was floored by those results ,I take my baby home and saw my reg vet on Monday , they checked her ran tests and she had a pyometra NOT PARVO! My vet did her surgery and now she is fine and recovering, this could have been a fatal mistake had I listened to this vets office. Maybe a bad test or maybe a mix up but this should never EVER happen.

  • Thomas McDill

Not only did you overcharge us for everything you did. You misdiagnosed my dog and never provided xrays to me that I PAID FOR! Lawyer is being contacted and I will get my money back!!! HORRIBLE VET THAT ONLY CARES ABOUT THE MONEY!!!! Update Vet refused to transfer prescriptions for my dogs medication. They are trying to force me to use them or pay $25 per medication for two paper prescriptions. This place should be shut down. They only care about the money, not the animal! They will never see another cent from me and I will make sure as many people as humanly possible never visit this place.

  • Sylvie McCarthy

The girls at the front desk were more interested in their cell phones than listening to what I had to say about my dog who was very sick. My dog had serious anxiety issues and bc of that needed to be muzzled in order to be examined. I explained this to the doctor but he disregarded what I said and tried to examine her without a muzzle. His assistant was very rough with her and when she barked at him the doctor told us to leave. That night my dog got much worse and I had to put her to sleep the next day. Go to First Coast No More Homelsss Pets. Best vet ever!

  • Amanda Tyler

They took such good care of our senior cat, Apollo. The wait is always long but the staff is really nice and knowledgeable. They were very kind throughout the end of life process with our girl — they explained everything thoroughly to us so we could make an informed decision and even sent us a card in the mail afterward, it was really sweet. They took good care of her when she was having health problems, which allowed us some extra time with her, and were very compassionate at the end of her life. When we adopt more cats we will bring them here.

On January 9th. The day after my 52 birthday I had to do the respectful and honorable job of helping my long time friend and lover(because she was my love) too a peaceful night. I called everyone and no one could help. Either they were full or closed to early for her daddy to be there. Then I called this wonderful place she was friendly and helpful called me back to keep me up to date on time. When we arrived they were quick to give us a place to say goodbye. It was beautiful and peaceful have love and understanding. I am truly grateful to them.

  • lindsey fettig

My parents and I have gone to this vet for years, but just recently they have become a place I would not take my dogs to. You will wait up to 3 hours to be seen, they don't make appointments, and they are higher in the prices. The rooms are drity including the waiting rooms, the have been times when the staff has just ignored people, and gone about personal business. I called to get my animals vaccine history and they questioned as to why I was asking for it again, and it is non of their concern. I will never recommend this vet to anyone now.

  • Tara Travit

I love this Animal Hospital. The Vet always meets you with a smile, he is so friendly and he is just wonderful with all the animals! He takes his time with each animal, Making sure you understand everything pertaining to the care of your animal. You cannot beat thier prices compared to other Vets/Animal hospitals in the area. I love the idea of dropping off your pet or being able to come without an appointment. It is great for busy Moms! I am very pleased and will continue to take my animals there throughout thier lives!! (C:

  • Kathryn Cragg (Supergrimmwolf)

The vets are fine, no problem there. The problem is I called over a week ago to find out how soon my cat needs his bordatella vaccine before he is boarded. The girl at the desk said she would call me back. I waited 2 days and then I called again, still no answer. Now it's been over a week and still no call back. These people should know this answer, I would think since they board animals. I finally googled the answer. But I will be reporting this when I take my cat for his vaccine. This is not the way to treat your clients.

  • Katelyn Danehy

I learned about Normandy Animal Hospital from where we got our puppy (Doberman) from. They used Dr. Khalil for his first visits and shots. The doctors and staff here have been very helpful and kind. Although the walk-in wait time can sometimes take a little while, they offer a drop off service so I usually take advantage of that option. I really appreciate the ability to easily come in for a walk-in versus waiting days/weeks to get an appointment. Update - I forgot to mention Dr. Khalil did an amazing job with Migo's ears.

  • lauren mckinney

Me and my family love this vet. We have taken every single one of our pets here for as long as I'm able to remember and have never had a problem. the staff are all so friendly and take care of my pets like they're their own. This last February the vet did everything he could to save my cat, he didn't make it but I was informed it would be likely he wouldn't. But I don't doubt for a second that Dr. Wright did everything in his power to save my baby and he and was very sympathetic to us. I'd recommend them to anyone. ❤️❤️❤️

  • Mindy Robinson

I have been going to DR Pat for over 25 years, The new staff are unprofessional and Rude,I went to the office to get flea pills and the stringy long gray hair woman ( I think is a tech) told me she would not sell me flea pills because I haven't brought one of my dogs in to be weighed, If she knew what she was doing, ITS CLEAR I had up to date paper work (clearly) saying he's weight, She is Rude!!! I will never go here again, Dr Pat's practice is ruined by the new people, the only good employees is Ashley.

  • Teresa Wilson

Every time I have taken my dogs to this vet they have you wait for at least two to three hours which could be understandable if they were busy but they would only have a few dogs to be seen. They have walk ins certain hours like from 9a-12 pm. The vet shows up at like 10:30 with no respect for my time waiting. No apologies for his punctuality. I will never go back to this vet. If you have all day to sit around then this is the vet for you. My time is very valuable to me. Therefore I will go elsewhere.

  • Brandi Yoder

As an owner of 2 large pit bulls, I prefer this vet to any others I have used in the past. They are very professional, low priced, and are not afraid of my dogs. I can not rave enough about how much it means to me, seeing as our last vet insisted my dog be muzzled at all times, and was scared to even walk in the room with either one of them. Which, to me, I felt my animals were not given 110% of the care they deserve and I was paying for. Thank you Normandy Animal Hospital for restoring my hope!!

  • Vickie Daniels

This place was recommended by a friend and I am very happy to say that I am now a new customer and so happy with my first visit. Dr. George was very helpful, polite and knowledgeable and took time to listen to my concerns and help me. The ladies were also polite and helpful. The availability and hours are wonderful and makes it easier to make plans for the day. Thank you for a great visit and we look forward to building a good relationship with Normandy Animal Hospital. Victoria

  • Patti Hart

Great! Dr. is wonderful, knowledgeable and was so good with my Missie. She was very comfortable there with everyone. Staff is the best. They also are very knowledgeable and so good with the patients. They are there seven days a week which is unusual for most and are so willing to help. I highly recommend them. Being new to this area I was nervous about finding a qualified vet we really liked. I am very fortunate to find them and Dr. George is the best and so are is his staff!

  • Hannah Lawson

Dr. Khalil was very kind and informative. I took my Chihuahua for a visit over the weekend and they made sure she was thoroughly cared for. They provided a care plan for her and sent me home with lots of information to do my own research instead of just forcing me to do what they think is best on the spot. I feel like I was also reasonably charged, especially considering it was a walk-in visit on a Saturday. Highly recommend and will be using them for all future vet needs.

  • Tashaina Horbbs

I'm highly disappointed in Normandy Animal Hospital. I brought my dog in on 10/23/23 due to him vomiting. I was told he needed fluids and could do that at home. They did x-rays and told me nothing was in his stomach and he'll be fine. I woke up to a DEAD dog!!! When I called the following morning I was told things that were in his chart that the doctor did not tell me!! Dr. Deutcsh you are the absolute WORST!! I will never visit this Hospital again!!!!

  • letichia wilson

I will never recommend their pet boarding to anyone. I returned from my honeymoon to my dog having scratching on her nose and requiring medicated ointment. They stated she injured herself, which is a complete lie. She’s never done that before and she’s been crate trained for 10years of birth. Also my sisters dog returned with bites/scratches on her neck that required antibiotics and medicated ointment. Please do not leave your animals here alone!

  • John L Cook Jr

Very Amazing Care Here. My family has been going here to take the dogs for over 20 years. Dr Wright is very caring and gentle with my Dog. I had to put my best friend of 16 years down, and Dr Wright operated on him even though he didnt know if cancer would return. Dr Wright gave my Snuggles a 2nd chance to live and walk. Whoever has a had a bad experience must not have patience. You will wait a little while but will receive excellent care.

  • Val Zeppelin

All of the workers are very polite, animals really like them. They explained everything they needed to do to help our pet. They also explained all of the medications, what they were for, when and how to administer them. They had a curbside drop-off option to keep humans and animals safe during the covid-19 pandemic, you call and they send a worker out to pick-up your pet, just so no one is waiting in the lobby. They are great.

  • Hailey Johnston

I had to have my old girl put down there, and the doctor and employees helped perfectly. The receptionist let my family come in without an appointment since my dog couldn't even stand, and the doctor handled everything well. He explained the procedure and even let me hold my dog as he gave her the dose. A few weeks later they sent a condolences card since we couldn't keep her ashes. I appreciate what they did for me and my dog.

  • Ernst Menzer

We took our sick cat Jack. Eye infection...they wanted 87.00 for a shot..we asked for a written prescription as Publix gives free ANTIBIOTICS. We already had the Vet office eye cream and other tests we paid for. THEY CHARGED US $25 bucks JUST TO WRITE A PAPER PRESCRIPTION ...needless to say..we won't go back. So they lost our business Overcharging to write a paper script...Ridiculous I hope they read their reviews

  • Maria V.

Highly recommend this clinic. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very caring. Nicky made me feel comfortable upon the first phone call and Dr.Mike was compassionate and personable. Sam, our technician handled my sweet Xica with so much care. I will definitely be bringing all my babies here. Walk in based so plan your day accordingly. Worth the wait! Left feeling with a sense of relief.

  • Julie Molchan

Been taking my babies here for years, the doctor's here are very caring and precise on diagnosing problems and always get my babies feeling better when they are sick. I've never felt rushed and they actually listen to the problems and concerns you are having. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always call to check if they are doing well, very satisfied and definitely recommend.

  • Cheyenne Thomas

This place is so freaking amazing ! The other day I went to No More Homless Pets and I had the worst experience ever. I come here, in a room less than 15 min and the price for all of what needed to be done came out so much cheaper than I thought. Everyone here genuinely cares about the animals and everyone is full of smiles. This will for now on be my go to place. I'm beyond relived!

  • Mona Springett

The big problem I have is that I was given one price for a certain test on the phone and when I picked up the dog, surprise, double the price I was told. Kinda hard to argue when they are holding your pet hostage... No negotiations were offered. Double, triple check pricing they give you with the actual vet. Make sure you clear the price with the vet, not desk personnel.

  • Kelly Williams

Was not satisfied with service, brought my dog for first time, they did not suggest any type of heart worm prevention to purchase or flea prevention, did not weigh my dog and give me his weight, and I paid for a bath before picking him up, and my goodness, he was still just as stinky as he was when I dropped him off. Just terrible service. Will not be bringing him back.

  • Deborah O'Toole

Dr. Khalil was informative and gave my two dogs excellent care. I loved the office staff. This is a walk in clinic so there may be a wait but is well worth it. I receive a call the day after the visit to check on my pets and see if I have any questions. Dr. Khalil also gave me training tips for the puppy. Price is competitive and would totally recommend this office.

  • Allie B

Sam & Dr Mike are GREAT!! My cat Zeke was unable to pee. Started vomiting Sat nite. Sun AM, took him to Normandy Animal Hospital. They got him right in. Bloodwork & exam showed kidney stone in bladder. He is on IV & cath. They let us go back & see him & love on him. They're awesome! Dr Mike & Sam have called me several times as well. Zeke comes home tomorrow!!!

  • Chelsey Riewer

I've been pleased everytime I've gone in! I couldn't ask for a better clinic just right down the road. I'm always amazed with the staff and how they handle being so busy non stop. Dr. Mike is amazing at what he does! I have not met a person who cares so much about my pets before. He has treated them like their his own and makes sure they receive the best care.

  • Chuck Meridth

Staff is fantastic, cannot believe the prices. Was quoted a price for xrays. When I got the bill, it was over $100 more AFTER the dr supposedly gave me a credit on extra xrays that I never authorized. My advice get a prescription and get meds yourself. 3 pill from petco are less than $1, they charged me $21. All that said my dog is feeling better.

  • Wilma Hartley

Ms. Carla (nurse and assistant) was so sweet, answered all my questions. Awesome bedside manners, Dr. Mike was the same. I would recommend this Vet to anyone, and very reasonable on prices. Dr Wright is also great. The staff is quick, and all very nice. KUDOS They know me as Wilma Brown, I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH WENDY, VERY VERY RUDE.

  • Phil P

Came in for an ear crop evaluation at noon. Sat in lobby for about 15 minutes before being put in a room. It’s been 2 hours 30min and still no one has came into our room. We’ve even had to check and see if they forgot about us. They claim they haven’t. Worst service I’ve ever experienced. No idea how you can run a business like this.

  • Zuri

Just moved back, called to schedule an appointment for my frenchie who has been having ungoing issues and was able to walk in the same day and get her diagnosed and sent home with meds an hour later. Mike was great! Prices are alot less than what we are use to. Will continue to go back to Normandy Animal Hospital. Highly recommend!

  • Glenda Bell

I have emailed a letter of concern to Normandy Animal Hospital and I have written a review and still I haven't heard a word back with an apology, nothing! N.A.H. your very wrong diagnosis would have absolutely lead to my baby's death, Thank God she is doing great after her surgery with my reg. Vet BEWARE OF THIS PRACTICE EVERYONE!

  • Cassandra Johnson

I waited 30 minutes just to pick up my cat. Only one person was waiting before me. The girls at the front desk were NOT friendly, what so ever. I my cat still had fleas after I paid for her to have a flea bath. They do not have an answering machine and will not answer the phone for me to make an appointment. BAD customer service.

  • Tasha Ellsberry

The Vets are all very professional and explain everything well. The staff is loving to my animals and always very professional as well. I love the drop-off feature as it makes it easy to get my pets seen with my busy schedule. Everyone is helpful and when we had an emergency they made me feel secure taking care of my fur babies.

  • Kimberly Michel

I just want to say I give this place a 10 star rating, yesterday was my 1st day there and the receptionist “precious” was absolutely amazing! It was a honor to see someone take pride in what they do . She made sure me and a couple more clients was comfortable. After Having a rough day she really cheered me up . Thank you

  • Zachirey Hunt

Unfortunately I didn’t come to the hospital on good terms. I had found a pup on the side of the road. Unfortunately he had passed prior to me getting there. I brought him to the hospital to see if he was chipped(which he wasn’t) and to have his remains taken care of. The staff was amazing and very helpful.

  • Melisa Johnson

Super Awesome Hospital. I have been bringing my babies to Normandy for years and the staff knows us by name. We’re not just another number coming here. We truly feel that the staff and the Vets here care and love animals just as much as we do. Even called late at night to check on my dog after surgery.

  • Judi ann Strickland

We love the staff there. Yes very long wait times since no appointments but they take good care of my dog and hes not nervous there. Thanks dr mike and staff. I was going there 20 yrs ago when i had a collie and saw dr pat. They call you next day after being seen to checknon your baby. How nice.

  • Dana Daughtry

My cat loves it here I wouldn't wanna change her doctors now. Sam her nurse is very sweet I don't like giving my cat pills she was very helpful. They always call the next day to check on her after any vaccines while she went thru her kitten and adult shots. Very nice people very worth it …

  • Raymond Burgett

Had an emergency but they closed at noon on Saturday. If looking for a vet go to Banfield, they got my sweet baby in right away and were very professional. Above all they got him stable and he is healing as of now. Normandy might be a great vet but not if you have an urgent need on a Saturday

  • Nicole Gary

Great prices. Wait time can be lengthy if you choose to do walk in, and you can only walk in to make an appointment, not call them. At any rate the prices are great. Location is good, office is clean, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for providing great service at a great price.

  • timmy swords

I took my baby girl (zoe) in Monday afternoon because she was so sick and the doctor did blood work on her with ex rays and she had a tumor in her stomach...it broke my heart but I knew it was best to put my girl fown she gave me 13 wonderful year ...thanks for your compassion

  • Auriela Nuxoll

I have been taking my pets to Normandy Boulevard Animal Hospital the past 20 years. Our most recent trip this past Saturday to get vaccinations for my boy Scooby went really well. I utilized the drop off option, and was delighted when my pick-up call came directly from the Dr.

  • Michael Barnes

Took my 3 yr. old bull mastiff in because of some skin issues. They immediately identified the problem and was very thorough in the explanation for treatment. I left much more educated. Definitely would recommend people to bring their pe . Reasonably priced also.

  • Jasmine Bailey

Loved everything about this place! The Dr's and staff are friendly, compassionate, and take great care in making sure everything is understood. No treatment was ever recommended that wasn't necessary or they wouldn't do for their own pets! Definitely recommend!

  • anmlsrus

The Doctor's and staff are awesome. Prices are very affordable and upfront. Great personal experience and very thorough examination of my pet. I would highly recommend to anyone who cares about their pet. Plus they are open 7 days a week with no emergency fee!

  • Coty Dial

They have always been very willing to work with me. They gave my Aussie pups their shots and health certificates years ago . I also love the fact that they will sell you flea pills without needing to be seen and pay an office visit. That are awesome.

  • Black Rainbow

I've found new vets for my pets, I have nothing but greatness to share with the doctors and staff at Normandy Animal Hospital. Thank you taking care of my furbabies Elvis and Maddie, each visit has been heart warming and wonderful. Thank you all...

My Lab was seen by Dr. Pat Wright. This Man is amazing. The Vet Tech Sam was so nice. Don’t hesitate to take your animal here. I am so blessed to have them treat my dog Christi. I love all the staff. ♥️♥️♥️ Thank you Dr. Wright

  • Nathan Fleming

Wait times can be long so bring a cushion because those benches are murder lol other than that the staff are great and Dr Pat is one of the best vets around. Very caring and kind, his demeanor will put you and your pet at ease.

  • Ren

We found this vet after being told from another vet that it would cost us about $1000 to fix our male dog that was well under 100 pounds. They charged us a fraction of the price and with better service. They are amazing.

  • Christa Nicol

Always a very pleasant experience! The staff is so friendly and you can tell they care. Dr. Mike is amazing and has compassion for every animal that comes through that door! I will never take my furbabies anywhere else.

  • Opal Johnson

The staff is so companionate, when our 17 year old dachshund was struggling to breathe they held my hand and wiped my tears when I made the decision it was best for her to be put to sleep. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

  • Melissa Bayron

The staff and doctors are great. Incredibly kind and they do know their stuff. They don't do appointments here though so unless you're there first thing you're definitely going to be waiting a long time.

  • Jackie

Love the people from the front desk to the back.. Great with me and my Lil Dog..Fathead loves them and is comfortable with everyone there.. As you can see he's happy as can be after coming home

  • Gene Steverson

Dr. Wright is such a great veterinarian. He is gentle and kind with the animals, and really knows his stuff. His office staff is beyond friendly and willing to help whenever you have a queston.

  • Roy Public

Excellent vet. They love the pets they see. Affordable care. No vet is cheaper. They are definitely there more for the animals then they are the money. They will be my vet from here on out.

  • Carol Adams

Excellent service. Took an abandoned cat to get him checked. Decided to adopt him. Got his Rabie shot, exam, heartworm & leukemia tests, and Revolution flea treatment. Very good prices.

  • Samantha McClendon

This place is great! Dr's and staff are incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. You leave with everything your pet needs and they make sure you understand why everything is needed.

  • Janet Dixon

First time here and I'll be returning for my future needs. Dr Mike and assistant are magnificent, so caring and polite. Thank you for saving my sweet baby Lexi ❤️❤️❤️ …

  • Angela Campbell

Vets are fabulous, clean and they really care about your fur babies. Only draw back is the one or two desk staff come of as too gruff but I can also see that it's not intentional.

  • Michelle Jarreau

Great staff, Dr. Mike is very caring and it shows. Ive been here twice this week with 2 different pets and both appointments exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be back !

  • kellie ramos
