The clinic has very friendly staff, and are mostly knowledgeable. I'm not sure what the cause of these issue are, but with my past experiences they have been very forgetful about clients waiting outside or if you have been holding on the phone they may not get back to you, they forgot to run a procedure on my dog or check on certain health conditions I have asked for. overall I find the place very unorganized, uninformative, and its been a slightly frustrating experience. I don't want to complain because I try to think it may be a covid issue but it seems to be consistent. I think what made this place my last visit was a 1,075 bill for my puppies neuter and microchip. They also used a non dissolvable stitching so we still have to go back just to get them removed.

Don’t take your pet here. They missed my dog’s ear infection, insisting nothing was wrong with it even though he was scratching at it. 5 weeks later he started losing his balance and was unable to walk. We took him in again and again they missed his ear infection, insisting he had gotten into a marijuana cookie and completely ignoring us when we told them he had no access to marijuana. We took him to AIMS the next day (where we received fantastic care from a vet who actually listened to us) and he was diagnosed with “the worst ear infection” the vet had ever seen and a completely ruptured ear drum. It just isn’t worth going here. I know they usually have same day availability, but I think there’s a reason this place doesn’t have a full schedule...

Ocean avenue veterinary hospital is absolutely fantastic!  Professional from beginning to end. Staring with very nice and helpful staff at the front desk, to the thorough and gentle treatment my kitty, "Cozmo" received from the amazing Dr. Padalkar and her extremely kind and caring assistant Rosemary. After my dachshund ate a pack of raisins out of the diaper bag, I knew going to our regular vet was probably not an option. I called Ocean before the emergency vet, hoping they might have some room for us. They got us in right away, administered treatment, and were so kind and concerned. It’s been a very long time since I’ve interacted with staff of any business that had genuine empathy despite being very busy.

I took my dog here because she has some skin issues. The doctor did some tests and gave her shampoo and conditioner to help and they said she will get better after a week. I applied it on her skin more than a month and she didn’t improve anything. It was not cheap for all the tests and shot. Not recommended if your dogs have skins issues.

Dr. Pal is hands down the best vet I’ve ever taken any of my pets to. The front desk and technicians here have all been absolutely incredible to my husband and I and treated our pets with utmost care and patiently answer all our questions. We’ve been working with cats going through kidney failure and know they couldn’t be in better hands!

We had an emergency and our vet was unable to accommodate us today. She sent us to Ocean Ave. I was very impressed with the Hospital. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. Great attention was made to help our boy.

Very impressed with this place. All staff was highly professional and pleasant. My cat got excellent care for a difficult situation. The vet was flexible and she fixed him. I would strongly recommend them!

Terrible place. My dog was discharged with bleeding wound without a bandage. Hospital asked Google to remove picture of "graphic content". I posted picture of my dog blood spots all over the car.

The vet has great hours and the staff is really helpful. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely a place to bring your loved one!
