Its been some years since I had been to the Ottawa Library. Today I needed to use my local library and I had many things to accomplish. Overall, I was able to accomplish what I needed to and the facilities were fine. However.... then I asked a simple question. "How can I print?" I was not up to date on whether one can print directly from one's computer or not. My question was met with annoyance and clear impatience. The staff member was clearly put out by my question and made me feel very uncomfortable. Eventually and without much assistance I was able to determine that there are terminals from which one can print. From the outset.. the staff member could have simply indicated that was the print options available at the location. It is unfortunate that the INFORMATION DESK... doesn't easily or willingly SHARE information!

Quiet spot and good selection of books. Found it a little cold and I’ll lit at places but still had a good amount of natural light. Seating space for groups is not as vast but still provides working stations. Mostly individual studying spots for students and comfy chairs for those wishing to leisure read.

It's a municipal library. You can borrow books. Pro: Easy and quick. Lots of parking. Con: Hours and selection aren't as good as other branches but it gets the job done. (If I'm looking for something specific, I just reserve it online for pickup at the most convenient branch anyway.)

I can’t speak for the inside - although it’s always busy so I’m sure it’s great - but around back off it is perfect for letting your dog off leash and run/fetch as it’s a fairly long stretch of open field. My dog Nova and I go every day and she loves it.

One of my favorite libraries ever it has a park has a swimming pool it has a weight lift room and a cardio room and a painting room what more can you ask for and also a really good selection of books there as well and also really good parking

Stopped by to get a museum pass. They currently have a designated separate entrance to keep the OPL visitors apart from the vaccine clinic lineup. The place itself is lovely and easy to navigate. Staff was friendly and helpful!

I have not been in a library for a while and I found that this library was very noisy. People were talking pretty loud and all at the same time. I think that a library should be a quieter environment.

I love this library. The collection is always well kept and updated with a good selection for kids. There is free WiFi when you sign up for a membership and nice sitting areas

Cute. Good selection. Libraries are meant to be, generally, quiet places. Visitors are very loud and staff does nothing about it, as they themselves are quite loud as well.

My favorite branch,has a full variety of books/entertainment stuff along with computers to print whatever necessary. lastly the branch has a peaceful environment …

The staff there are very friendly..and the library is very organized and clean..they even have programs during the summer for kids is assume!!!

We loved the library, the gym and the pools. My 2 kids learned how to swim here. My daughter did some ballet too. Great staff and instructors

I always had a great time at this OPL branch. From the friendly staff and volunteers to the public, my experiences have always been pleasant.

Place very quite, equipment are very helpful (computers, individual tables, children space ..). Thank you for the quality of the service

All the women working in the library are always speaking in French. You feel like an outsider if you ask them any question in English.

You can experience the Canada’s diversity and respect for freedom here at the OPL particularly @ the St. Laurent branch.

Its a fine place to go. They could be a little more updated but over all it was a nice place and I would go there again.

Very nice bilingual staff, sufficient parking, working space, printing services, book retail, easy to become a member.

Place was quite and positive . All the books were amazing . Tables were neat and clean. Environment was cool
