How I love our local public libraries' networks across Canada, let me count the ways! We've lived in three different provinces across Canada over the past 14 years and in every city that we've called home, the public libraries'system is amazing. From the on-site collection to the online access to National archives and repositories and the use of Overdrive and Libby to remote loan titles, and lest we forget the youth spaces and maker labs to promote STEM disciplines, everything to give you googly eyes and get you as giddy as you can get. All this possible thanks to the small dedicated army of librarians, archivists and on-site personnelle that with diligent dedication make of this places happy temples to relish on universal knowledge and unity. The Ottawa public Library is no exception with beautifully and lovingly curated collections and friendly supportive staff that left me feeling blessed to have access to such a wonderful resource of knowledge. Thanks so much to our local government and federal funding, proud to call myself Canadian!

The staff here at the Sunnyside branch are rays of sunshine. They're very helpful and compassionate, but also willing to help with even the most minor of questions. The selection is alright, but they have a system on their website that allows you to request books from other branches of the library. They place requested/held books on separate shelves, which is a little confusing at first, but works in the end. The self-checkout is very convenient and easy enough to use, just make sure you have your card ready when you start up the system. There also appears to be plenty of study space and support for local high school students and post-secondary students alike. The building itself is very nice and the large windows provide lots of natural light while you read. There's plenty of floor space on the main floor for studying, although I have yet to venture downstairs into the children's section. Overall, a wonderful branch!

What a lovely thing to do for a air conditioned summer relax day! Staff were so friendly particularly Jennifer at the front desk explaining and being super accommodating for the visit! Great layout, lots of light, plenty of space and as it wasn’t busy, had a lot of room! Didn’t feel rush as the atmosphere was that you may feel in one of the famous libraries in the world. Quite prefer this spot as appose to the larger libraries in the city. Great location. Exceptional staff. And no late fees!

Really nice library. The kids' area in the basement is excellent! Wonderful book selection, don't need to worry about how much noise we're making because it is separate from the rest of the library, and extremely helpful librarians. Sometimes the play room is open which is also lots of fun (maybe Saturday mornings?). Also highly recommend story time.

As a vital member of the glebe community, this place is a must-visit for new residents and old. The book selection is impressive, the programs here are plentiful and there will certainly be something for everyone here. The staff are always happy to see you and always want to help your great self into becoming the best you can.

Excellent service provided today, as it was my family first visit to the Library. We specially visited for the children's area. Nice book selection, kids logic entertainment and setting. Friendly staff, at the front desk a great service was provided by Pia. We will visiting more often for kids activities.

This branch has a great selection of different books that you would need. It is smaller than some other branches in the city however the service here is great. Make sure to take out museum passes that most museums in Ottawa. This is a great way to see parts of the city inexpensively.

I accidentally left my USB key here a week ago and searched my apartment looking for it. Within five seconds of asking the librarian at the front desk, I had my USB key again. Great location, computers are usually not busy, and very helpful staff!

It is a nice little library. However, please remember that parking is also very small as well seating inside the library is limited.

Nice location and study space. Has public computers for use. Public WiFi is not functional and a waste of time to figure out.
