We were in line queuing up to have dinner at wagamamas till my partner pointed out the amazing smell that was lingering around in the street… she pointed at Pasta and Browns and said “I think it’s coming from there” we walked across the road and sniffed out the air haha and decided to ditch wagamamas and asked for a table. We were both fasting for ramadan and there was about 40mins till sunset (for us to break our fast). The tall young fella serving us was quite nice and once I told him of our situation he kindly said that he’d take care of things with putting our orders through closer to the time of eating. The bruschetta was lovely and so was the garlic bread… a bit of a shame as the bottom of the garlic bread was a little soggy yet it was still delicious! Onto the mains. We did wait quite a while for them roughly 45 minutes but they did not disappoint. Being a huge mushroom lover my creamy pasta with chicken and wild mushroom was awesome. My partner also enjoyed her lasagne which was rich in sauce and cheesy very much. We had a side of fries which were very small in portion but oh well, when the pasta is that good who can complain. The bill came to around £85 which isn’t the cheapest but you’re in town and enjoying good food so who cares right. Overall very nice food and will pop by here again, perhaps to try their seafood linguini which I kept seeing leaving the kitchen. Check them out!

I ate at Pasta Brown on Friday night. I have to say I was incredibly disappointed. The food was very very average and the pasta was over cooked, the pizza was flat and the crust crunchy and hard. There is nothing refined or well done about any of the food. You can easily find better in your own kitchen. Trust me! Also no plate of extremely average pasta is less that 20 quid :( The restaurant manager is a racist who rushes people in and out as fast as possible to ensure the greatest turn over possible. The staff are attentive only to ensure that you are eating and moving along as quickly as physically possible. It's impossible to sit and relax, chat and digest in this establishment. Forget sitting as a single person! They have a rule that no patrons that are eating solo are allowed to sit inside - only take away. Absolutely absurd!

Me and my wife ate here on our last night in London and the pasta we had was amazing! I had the penne contadina and wife had fettuccine alfredo. The staff was ok but not great. The only thing I didn’t like was having to ask several times for 17 minutes to pay so we could leave. Other than that I would highly recommend this place. It’s nice and pasta dishes we had were sooooo good! Also, the price is on point. I saw some reviews complain about price and after visiting I don’t understand how they would say such a thing. You go to a chain restaurant and it’s the same price yet this is by far is much better quality for the same price. If you are searching for pasta just stop and go here now!

We ordered a Carbonara, Polpette & side of fries. Ambience: pretty standard, nothing incredibly inviting or special, maximised for more tables. The ladies bathroom is very awkwardly placed and not the easiest to get to. Service: friendly staff, our waiter was lovely. Bit rushed/ quick but it was peak dinner time. Food was quick to be served. Food: very, very mediocre. For the price point, not worth it! I’ve had a lot better Italian, not far from here, for the same price range or lower. Felt very heavy and oily. Overall, underwhelming and not worth the price tag. Edit: star down due to food poisoning, symptoms began 7-8 hours after being here. With how quick the food was served was probably reheated (and not properly).

Ok I’m becoming repetitive in my reviews, but I have to write about awesome places when they are deserved. We had actually tried to get into another Italian restaurant, which was full and luckily for us we found Pasta Brown. 3 pasta dishes, 1 pizza, 2 side salads and a homemade Tiramisu later, our bellies are stuffed, and we are relaxed and talking about how great the food and service was. I can’t name an individual staff member, the concept is everyone serves, clears, talks, informs and are very friendly.. I couldn’t fault the service, atmosphere or food.. Well done team PB…

The wild mushroom chicken pasta was awesome! I highly recommend. There was only one table for a solo diner in the restaurant and it was right in the path of the very busy serving staff. I asked if there was another option and the person was rude to me regarding my asking. I said to her "the reviews say how friendly the staff is here". She became more pleasant and I was seated at the one and only table available for one person. At the end of my meal she did apologize for being rude and gave me a complimentary tiramasu. They were busy and I get how stressful it can be dealing with the public/tourists every day. However, I did appreciate her apology and gesture. Enjoy!

This is the best Italian restaurant I've found in London, and in fact, the best restaurant overall. The day before, I spent 30 minutes looking for a place to eat, but it was just okay. The next day, I found Pasta Brown and it was amazing! Its location next to three underground stations made it convenient for me to grab a quick meal. I loved it so much that I went back again the next day. The prices are reasonable and the food quality is excellent. The service is also very fast. Overall, it's an outstanding restaurant.

One of my favourite Italian restaurants!! It is super cosy and the food is out of this world! Penne pasta brown is the thing you must have from the menu when you are dining here! The staff is really polite. We also had some wine - try the red list! We spend around 80 pounds for 2 people for lunch including a shared starter, two mains, two glasses of wine and a service charge of 12%. It is also clean! I must add I was impressed with the interior full of pictures and memories - it complements the atmosphere of this place.

It might be one of the best Italian restaurant here in London but what we experienced was literally unfair. We were four of us and after seeing the portion size, we wanted to place order for two pastas, as we were not really hungry to order 4 dishes for all for us individually. But we were told by the restaurant manager that it is mandatory to order 4 dishes for all 4 for us, else we are not permitted to sit. That's really weird. P.S. From past one month I was doubting should I post this review or not, but I think all the good reviews this restaurant has does not justify our exprience.

Have just left and have to immediately leave review. Although we initially walked past, we are so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. The waitress recommended the Spaghetti Alio Olio Alice which I had not given a second look but I think it has to be the best pasta dish I’ve ever eaten, although a little spicy but absolutely perfect! Even my husband who doesn’t like last said it was amazing! The tirimisu is also the nicest I’ve had! Thank you so much for you hospitality. We will definitely return. Xx

So delicious! You can always tell when the place is good when it's consistently busy. We got a side salad (Insalata Mista), fries, garlic bread, and the Penne alla Contadina. The pasta was amazing! And then for dessert, we had the Torta di Formaggi (which was the most creamy cheesecake) and the Tiramisu. Overall a wonderful experience.

We had an impromptu lunch here on a day out in London. It was busy, but the staff were attentive, not over the top, it was lovely and clean with a good atmosphere and the chefs were chatty as they cooked. The food was delicious and I followed a recommendation from our server and it was a great choice. We left feeling rested, happy and full.

This 1st time I've been to this restaurant, and it certainly won't be my last. I had the gluten free salmon pasta dish (coeliac). It was literally heaven in a dish. I have never had a pasta dish taste so good. The staff and the restaurant are so lovely, friendly and very welcoming. I really cannot sing enough praises for this place.

The food quality was OK, but no more. It was actually lacking any real flavour. The muscles I had were also very overcooked. The service was reasonable, albeit maybe 6 different people served us, so there was no connection. It was fairly expensive for the quality, so not great value. One main pasta dish and a glass of wine was £40+ / head. I wouldn't rush back.

Not being from London we found the prices expensive. But then this is Covent Garden so £20± for pizza/pasta is probably par for the course. Wife's pasta was nice with creamy tomato sauce and my Italian meatballs burger was OK although too much bread and too many fries for my liking. The dynamite chicken looked great and would have been a lower carb option.

The absolute touristic trap! We saw the good comments and decided to go. Food is tasteless. Price are super high for what you get. Staff has an attitude and when we told that we will not have a coffee or a dessert they bring us the bill and almost kicked us out. Very unprofessional. We stayed maximum 20-30min..Not to mention the mandatory 12.5% tip. Save your time and go somewhere else

We have had lunch today here at Pasta Brown, and I have to say it was amazing. The service was good, and you didn’t have to wait ages for the food. The only mistake what we experienced while we were there it was the promised cheese for the pasta which has never arrived, but apart from that everything was perfect. Highly recommended!
