I used to visit frequently many years ago and absolutely loved it. It was always an amazing experience. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. We booked for 8:15 pm and were greeted at the door by a lovely gentleman who was very witty, but any positive experience ended there. We never received the sparkling water we asked for, the complimentary bread baskets are a thing of the past, and just because we requested starters and mains together, we were never given dinner plates, so settled with using our starter plates instead. The bruschetta was a little stale, the side salad was mediocre and the fiorentina was scantily clad with spinach. We were disappointed to say the least and thought we would drown our sorrows with a second glass of wine, but it wasn’t meant to be as the service was so poor that my sister had to leave the table to request the bill. Never again. I would understand if it were busy , but there were no more than three tables. However, I can understand why it’s not the bustling restaurant it used to be if last night’s experience was anything to go by. Very disappointed to say the least.

Still one of the best restaurants in Birmingham. We came for my husband’s birthday. The whole team was so lovely and accommodating that I feel like I cannot thanks them enough. We had such bad and the bill was so low compared to such an abundant amount of food. The first time I dined at Pasta Di Piazza was 8 years ago. The quality over the year never change and the massive portion is still the same (I can’t complain). I was so happy to see the mixed seafood on the specials. This time last year we were in Puglia and that’s what we ate every day. If monk fish linguine is on the menu, I will definitely order it. Though this time, the waitress (I should have asked for her name) highly recommended the octopus linguine so I chose it without a doubt. It was sensational! Octopus was tender, the hint of spiciness in the sauce was perfect. Just thinking about it makes me want to come back again. I have to be honest, I strayed sometimes to other Italian restaurants but I’ll always comeback here because I know that I’ll never be disappointed.

The food was nice, and we had a selection of starters. Only criticism is the lack of guidance on the menu relating to what is or isn't gluten or diary free. We had to wait a while for the young waiter to inform us what the options were because they weren't highlighted on the menu. The service was good, but the busier it got, the less attentive the staff became. It took over 5 mins to grab the waiters attention to get the bill and pay.

I would say it is a typical Italian restaurant you will find in the UK. Nothing bad but nothing special as well. Reasonable price with a quite a large portion. Food wise is ok. Calamari is ok, not crispy enough even though it is quite hot when served. A bit disappointed about the tomato mushroom which the mushroom appeared to be a tinned mushroom instead of fresh mushroom. Risotto is quite good which I I think is the best out of 4 dishes I tried that night. Service is good. Overall not a bad Italian restaurant but if you want something special or above average, you need to find somewhere else.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Went for a family Birthday meal (table for 6). The Lamb Shank was melting off the bone and the mint was almost infused into the meat. Beautiful. Portions are plentiful for all dishes, although I could have had a touch more mash as a personal preference due to the size of the Shank. Will definitely be visiting this tasty, relaxed Italian in the Jewellery Quarter of Brum! :-)

Lovely, authentic Italian restaurant near the Jewellery Quarter. I had a very tasty vegetarian pizza with a side dish of green salad. Nice outer facade with a traditional interior and lovely colourful murals. There is a secure NCP car park on Newhall Street about a minute's walk around the corner. Parking opposite the restaurant entrance is for permit holders only. First time visiting and we paid £10.35 on foot for a 2-3 hour stay! It is a little cheaper to pay via the ParkPass app! I would definitely visit again. I'm slow at eating so next time I'll take my time ordering as don't like being rushed.

Lovely place, delicious authentic Italian food (always hearing Italian people eating in there) and a lovely atmosphere. My one recommendation would be they could actually make the portions a little smaller! I’ve never finished a meal there despite it being delicious, so I reckon they could save themselves a bit of money! I don’t mind though I just take the rest home with me. Will be eating there again soon.

We have been to Pasta Di Piazza several times now, it's a very nice restaurant. Located near Saint's Paul's Square, with tall windows close to the pavement and boxes of tomatoes and annual flowers on the window sill, this restaurant is literally 5 minutes walk from Snow Hill train station. The inside is very attractive with exposed bricks and vibrant nice atmosphere. We normally go there for lunch as in the evening it can get ridiculously busy. The food I'd say it's consistently good but not exceptional. Service is very pleasant and attentive, overall worth a visit.

Amazing place! I went there once and I tasted one of the most wonderful dishes I've had to date. I don't remember the dish, didn't even remember the restaurant until now, but I never once stopped thinking about it. Amazing staff, really good atmosphere. Will definitely be going back there.

We visited quite early on a Friday evening. A very pleasant atmosphere and the staff were very nice. We just had a main course and dessert. A beef stroganoff and a vitello al marsala both cooked beautifully and for dessert crepes alla banana and a semi fredo al torroncino. Really nice desserts and a reasonable portion size. Our third visit here and it's a favourite for us when on this side of town.

Service very slow, waited ages for our food and drinks order to be taken. Waited ages for our mains to cleared. Waited ages to ask for bill. Food came out quickly. My friends food was good he said. It was my first experience of Italian cuisine. Ambiance was great. Service and hospitality I would give them 5. They had staff that actually spoke Italian which was superb. The dishes I had was devine. Fine selection of wines and spirits. Genuine Italian food. Spirits such as Amaro Montenegro liqueur which is a product of Italy was available. Visiting here was like visiting the country. I enjoyed the experience. Well done guys. It's roadside parking. Smoking area is outside. There is a step up at the main entrance.

Lovely Italian with attentive and friendly staff. Food was excellent and came out quickly, but be warned that you will definitely need to book. The restaurant was clearly very popular to a wide range of people - it filled to capacity whilst we were eating with all ages and types of groups ranging from friends and families groups of all sizes, occasions such as birthdays, and couples on dates. A local favourite and deservedly so. The portions are generous, so do not over order!

Wonderful mid afternoon meal here. As my star rating shows the good was first rate, as was the service. The atmosphere was good, spoilt only by a pissed up party of six a couple of tables away (mid afternoon!). Looking for an excuse to return.

Food was pretty good but the waitress was insufferable. I was having a conversation with my girlfriend and we asked for a takeaway box for our garlic bread. She basically just kept slamming the bread into the box while she was beside us and it wasn't even subtle that she wanted us to leave. Made us felt very unwelcome.

I ordered the Bass on the specials board and the Neal came with two generously sized and nicely seasoned pieces. The desserts we ordered was the Tiramisu and Panna cotta. The Tiramisu was so creamy and deliciously smooth. Really well balanced and was one of the nicest I've had in a very long time. The Panna Cotta was also very pleasant but simply not my normal go to as a dessert

Really nice food. They have a lot of options in the menu. The lemon pasta was very good. I would avoid the veg risotto, I found it to be less flavourful and also less starchy than I prefer. The tiramisu and the coffee is very good.

Evening out with friend been at least 6 years since was here last. The food still remain delicious and value for money. Freshly cooked and very tasty. Superb evening at Pasta Di Piazza last night. We were a table of 7 and the food came very quickly and was very tasty. Only slight improvement - the tiramisu sponge could be soaked a bit more in the alcohol. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, would highly recommend.
