I have myself to blame, I am greatly disappointed by booking my African gray in for a weekend at Pet Adventure .I went to pick Buddy up Sunday morning , and my bird came out of a storage room. I was told... they were scrared that my gray could be stolen for it happened befor. I did not wanted to act immediately, because she lied in my face. And the staff is just looking on. Who do you complain to? I book my bird in for some weekends to be around other birds for I loved the atmosphere of the petshop. I booked Buddy in few times befor, now I am wondering.. Did they always isolate my African gray parrot in a room, after I leave ? What a sad encounter my baby gray had experienced. Never ever again.. I was greatly disappointed and angry Thank you for showing me your hearts for animals or is it just about sales? How could they just want to steal my bird? There is so many of them in the store... Or did they made my gray mate at the store. I can think many things. But to be angry at a petshop will not bring me no joy, for I have to give love a joy to my pet. I forgive them, God bless you.

Very irresponsible pet store. I bought two female hamsters at Pet Adventure, the males and the females had not been separated in the tank at the store and when I got home one of the females I bought gave birth. Please make sure any hamsters you buy have been separated so they can't breed! Also the hamsters I bought here had ticks. UPDATE the hamsters bought at Pet adventure were INBRED and badly treated. They BOTH died young one from cancer, the other from heart disease, and they both died with TRAUMA. DO NOT SUPPORT SHOPS LIKE THIS THAT ABUSE ANIMALS AND DONT GIVE A S**T ABOUT THEIR LIVES. THEY JUST LOCK THEM IN SMALL CAGES FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE.

Oh WOW i am inlove with that shop! When i walked in you can instantly see the animals are loved, looked after, cage's CLEAN, fish healthy and tanks clean. I have big fish tanks at home and i know the time it takes to keep it perfectly maintained. The love they show for the animals is overwhelming and refreshing to see and to know there's still animal lovers out there in this world. Everyone is SUUUUUUPER FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. If I could rate a ZERO that's what I would put. Firstly we walked in and spent almost 10min no one acknowledged us or even spoke to us. The staff looked at us like we were invisible. Secondly some of their fish look sickly and there was a tank with dead fish in various stages of decomposition,floating in the tanks. As we were about to walk out I spotted the product I had been look for and when I asked for service the lady who "assisted" us seemed unhappy to do so. Maybe she had a bad day? Definitely won't be going back that's for sure.

Friendly and helpful staff. This store definitely has the best fish tanks. They use 8mm glass or thicker on everything 90 cm and up while still being priced competivitely with other stores that use thinner glass. Wish they kept more livestock and better though. Not nearly as big as previous store but still keeps the essentials. The outdoor pond section is definitely under-utilised. Also, prices aren't always displayed on items which is quite a pain sometimes.

On the outside, it looks like a house that turned into a pet store with its bright violet colour painted on the walls. There is a huge variety of pet supplies. I was purchasing a bunch of pet chewables but I was slightly disappointed when the prices on the receipt didn't match the prices that was displayed. Upon confrontation there was very little explanation and less empathy than expected. But still, good prices but the service could be a little better.

From what they used to be. Really disappointed in the quality of there fish. Sales assistant trying to sell sick fish with no concern of the amount of damage it could cause if introduced into other aquariums. So yip don't think I would ever buy fish from them but on the plus side they do have a good selection of aquarium hardware.

They have really good prices for pet accessories but I can see why there are so many reviews about the treatment of the animals. There's a lot of very hectic overcrowding. The employees were helpful and nice and they have a pretty good range of stock, but the way they house the birds especially needs to change.

In a world where service is priority number 1, Pet Adventure has sadly dropped the ball in recent years. From being one of the best pet stores in the Cape, it is slowly drowning due to lack of service and staff having very little knowledge of the animals they sell. I'll be very hesitant to return.

Incredibly poor and outdated animal knowledge. Small animals will be the ones to suffer most from advice given here. I even stumbled across a bag of Selective Guinea Pig food that expired in January 2018. TWO YEARS AGO - ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Who doesn't do expiry checks in TWO YEARS

Good selection of pet products. Have a fair selection of livestock with regards to fish, hamsters and bird life. Helpful staff and stock a variety of well priced pet products from fish to dogs. Now with a new section for aquascaping they have a decent selection for beginners.

My kids love this pet store. There are fish and birds for them to interact with. My son is also very pleased that they sell reptile products so we come here for things (but not food) for his snakes. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and keen to help.

The gentleman that works there (or owns the place) was so helpful and advised me on what to buy. The shop is clean and airy and the pets there look clean and well kept. I like to shop there for all my animals needs. Ample parking behind the shop.

Quick , convenient and easy to shop at. Good pet toys and products. They should actually have a dog wash parlour there at the back would be ideal and convenient . Further great price pet foods. Also stock Montego for dogs and other good brands.

Went to buy 20kg bag of dog food and food for our fish. The dog food was more than R100 cheaper at Pet Adventure than my regular pet shop that I attend. The staff was very helpful and polite and know their products. Well done guys. Keep it up.

The young man that helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful, he even took my goodies I purchased to my car. I will definitely go back, huge variety there. Did not see any other staff though, that shop was quite huge for one person to man

Took my daughters 2 budgies for them to take care of for 5 days and supplied my own budgie food. Paid R50 per day. The birds were not well cared for. The cage was dirty and the water merky. Will not take them to Pet Adventure again.

I was expecting more, sure it has some unique birds in snail sized cages, don't let that bother you they seem content. Overall the store is far less exciting than it's previous store, not an adventure just a food and toy shop.

Be sure to quarantine fish you buy from Pet Adventure as they sell sick fish. My fish developed white spots the same day I bought it and died three days later. It was a brand new tank with no other fish. Buy with caution.

This pet store is fun to browse or to get a wide range of pet goodies, from fish to rats to dogs and cats! They have a huge variety and are very reasonably priced - my first go-to pet shop for pet needs.

Friendly service and the lady who assisted us took her time with us. Showed us around and answered all our questions. She was well informed and happily shared her knowledge with us.

Knowledgeable staff to assist and decent selection of products. All fish purchased from them have been health and found no problem introducing newcomers to my aquarium.

Never been there but if you look at the photos they have over 5 bunnys in one cage this is extremely cruel and disgusting my 2 bunnies have bigger cages than that
