When you enter the store, you are met with a sign that says "VIP Waiting Area: Please clean your hands with sanitizer; and wait here for a staff member to assist you" (NOTE - I cannot guarantee the accuracy of this quote, BUT, I can assure you it represents the essence of the message). Well, I sanitized my hands and waited, as requested. There appeared to be three employees at the checkout, engaged in conversation. I waited more than two or three minutes Once, I was finally acknowledged, I was simply told that I need not wait - that I can instead go serve myself. I recommended that they should, in that case, update their sign to reflect their changes in practice. No one even acknowledged my comment, let alone apologized or gave indication that they would consider (or pass along) the suggestion Not very impressive regard for the customer The cat food that my wife sent me to buy, however, was on sale - $ 5.00 OFF

TIP: if you are just passing by, stop in to say hi to the resident cat up for adoption. They might be the cat you were waiting for. My wife and I have been going here for a number of years for current and past pets. Unlike the bigger box pet stores, we like the personal service and getting to know the staff. We have been using their performatrin brand of food with great results at a reasonable price. We also like the selection of high quality toys like West Paw brand. PetValu is our go to pet store for food and toys. Other big ticket items usually means shopping around a bit. My only critique would be the price point of some items like beds is a bit high, however the quality certainly matches the price. We will continue to visit this location.

I went into this location this morning to buy my dog a new bed, as we lost everything in a fire this week. The manager and staff member were more than helpful and went above and beyond to help me out. This meant a lot to my spouse and I, having to replace everything we owned. I just wanted to say thank you for being such great humans and giving great customer service.

Literally the best Petvalu store. It is clean, well stocked and the staff are the best! Super friendly and helpful. I had gone in trying to find sensitive tummy puppy food, and the lady who helped me really knew her stuff, she recommended a brand of food, which really helped us out, it worked for our puppy and his bowel situation. Highly recommend this store!

We visited on Saturday July 14, 2018 with our puppy to pick up some better toys for him. I believe it was the manager who was at the store and she was very helpful in helping us pick appropriate toys and answering any questions! Would definitely recommend visiting this store for pet needs.

Staff was immediately friendly and helpful. Offered to order an alternate colour harness if I wished. Properly fitted my dog with a couple different harnesses I wanted to try out. Even held my dog while I went to pet the adoptable cat :)
