3 STARS due to incompetent vet nurses following up - I have been shopping at Pet Stock Carrum Downs for some years now but this was the first time that I used the vet services. Very happy with my experience for both myself and my Ragdoll cat with the actual vet himself. The vet was very kind and professional. My Ragdoll is quite shy and not good with other people but he made it as comfortable as possible for my cat. But after receiving my cats blood work results by phone by a different vet after the weekend, it was suggested that he has an echocardiogram (potential heart issue) as thyroid and kidney issues had been ruled out with the blood work. I spoke to the vet in the morning about this and was told that they would need to check with the echocardiogram provider which is a 3rd party provider for their availability and get back to me. The next day I had not heard anything so I followed up with the vets and it was not until I followed up, did they check and THEN put in the request for my cat’s echocardiogram with the external provider. NOT GOOD ENOUGH, especially when I’m told the next available appointment is 9 days away. Maybe if the request had been done sooner an earlier appointment date may have been available. For a potential heart issue this really is not enough and although the vet was fantastic, I do not feel confident with Pet Stock Vet Carrum Downs caring for my loved one if they can’t even fill a simple request in a timely manner without me checking up on it to prompt them. I will not be back, I will be travelling to see my trusted vet from now on. Extremely disappointed and a tad angry with this. I spent 24 hours anxiously awaiting and the request hadn’t even been made. If I hadn’t had followed up, how long would it have sat there before they realised they hadn’t done their job?!

I have been a customer of this vet since they first opened in the location on the corner of Hall Road & Frankston - Dandenong Road. Up until this year we mostly had great experiences. So much so that even though we had moved further away we kept making the drive back. This year we have seen some different vets and not been very confident in them and as such made a decision to change to a new vet. As with the longer trip there and loss of confidence, it made sense to find something closer to home. Dr Albert (who we have generally had a great experience with) said we could have our pets history sent to us so we could transfer to a new vet. We have since followed up several times over the last few weeks (in person at an appointment we had scheduled, as well as multiple calls and in writing. We kept getting advised it will be done right away, by X time, and they never come through. We've actually had this experience before when requested additional information for the pet insurer to get a claim paid (and found it took multiple calls to get the details they requested). We've now escalated to Petstock head office. I understand being busy, short staffed, but we have made several requests over a period of nearly 1 month and its now become urgent as its not been actioned. In fact we've felt compelled to leave this review after today being promised "right away" an definitely by 12pm to which neither occurred, and is not the first time this has happened. Note: if we could have continued to only see Dr Albert or Dr Tamara, we'd likely have stayed put. NOTE: Request finally actioned,.

Staff were amazing, Vet was absolutely perfect. The info was given upfront without prompting, all the options for my littles ones care and surgery were given in full details, all the after care and recovery information was explained very carefully to ensure a speedy recovery. My new favourite Vet clinic, will definitely be using them for all my pet care needs in the future. Well done to all involved in running such a fantastic clinic.

I’ve been to the vet multiple times for my dog And they are absolutely fantastic! My dog gets quite scared and they ladies who handled him took such care and were so gentle. We also did the puppy school here and it taught him so much but was also good to mingle with other puppies. The store itself is well set out and super clean.

The vets at petstock are lovely. Kind and caring to the pets they see, explain the problems and treatment required. All the staff there have always been very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend them. They have cared for our dog since day one and have always shared valuable advice.

We have a new puppy, and trying to offer her a variety of food to find her favourite was hard to work out. The person who helped me was so great, and really made the decision to buy a bit of everything really easy to make. Thank you for helping me deal with this phase!

The staff are always friendly and helpful, I've been served by many and they are all great. There's a good variety available and the loyalty program (which is free) is well worth joining. Some items seem overpriced but I've never had an issue with quality.

If you are looking for a very reliable vet in the Frankston/Dandenong areas, then I can thoroughly recommend Petstock at Carrum Downs. Ultra professional at all times. I have been taking my rag Doll Ande there for the past 14 years.

Hi! The vet Melody was extremely professional and helpful with my cat Roxy and she knew just what to do to relieve her anxiety at the vet clinic. She gave very great dietary advice too. Well done Melody and thanks!

Vet Tamara was wonderful. Generous with time and information. Our new puppy responded so well to her gentle manner. Highly recommend this vet and Petstock Carrum Downs.
