wonderful little French bakery/café in downtown LA that made a near perfect spot to stop for lunch after visiting the Central Library. Also a location on Beverly BLVD. Wood, red brick, and steel interior décor stylishly designed creates a feeling of wanting to linger a while. Open early to start the day with breakfast items (benedicts, omelettes) espresso, and pastries, Oh, the pastries! You walk in and immediately your eye is drawn to the expansive display of gorgeous selections both sweet and savory. Scones, croissants, eclairs, tarts, etc. all looking delicious. And some perfect looking baguettes and other types of freshly baked bread to enjoy at home. The lunch menu includes sandwiches both hot and cold, quiche, salads, and an interesting sounding rice bowl option. We perused the menu for a little while, including the daily specials board, and placed our order at the counter. Having spent some time in France, we discovered the pleasure of a simple baguette sandwich with brie and ham. This was my wife’s choice. I love a good quiche and the choice du jour was ham & mushroom. As a side to compliment my quiche I chose an order of ratatouille-a French cooked vegetable dish. By the way, they do serve wine here also but it may be only during certain hours of the day. Not sure on that. We found a table easily and waited for our selections to arrive. And they did quickly. The baguette sandwich looked great but unlike the large majority of these we have enjoyed this one included a large leaf of romaine. This added a bit of extra crunch but not much more. Unnecessary in our opinion. The bread was fabulous, exterior crunchy with a soft slightly sour interior. A baguette to remember. The ham and the brie went with it perfectly. My wife was very pleased. I am a bit different than most in that I prefer my quiche cold or at room temp (it’s a texture thing) rather than warmed. This piece was truly delicious. Great smooth eggy filling with good quantity of filling. Crust maybe a bit dry but still well made. Nothing left but a few crumbs. Unfortunately, the ratatouille was a big miss on this day. I’ve had it many times, including in France, and this was unrecognizable as the dish I know. The normally chunky vegetables, which you can identify when looking, appeared to have been run through a Cuisinart and thoroughly churned into a slightly stringy mix. Once I tasted it the disappointment was complete as it tasted off, as if the dish had been around a bit too long. I was able to have a very pleasant conversation with the manager who offered any and all options to rectify the situation-I chose a refund. The dessert choice here today was a delectable looking raspberry tart-fresh berries perched on top of a light cream filling in a shortbread style crust. Every bite was wonderful. Wish I’d chosen to buy one to take with. I will say that if you enjoy French pastry or a slice of French style café culture this spot should fill the bill when visiting Los Angeles. It’s going to be a staple of our dining whenever we visit for sure.

This is so far my favorite french café in the Los Angeles area. The pastries and macarons are all very delicious and you cannot be wrong with your choice. My favorites are the almond tart and chocolate tart. Both have a rich taste and the exact amount of sweetness. Concerning the savory items, they are good, but cannot compete with the pastries. Although the Ratatouille Quiche was awesome. I had the Niçoise Salad which was OK and a bit blend in taste. I also tried the Sandwich South West featuring duck prosciutto. It was also just OK, the duck tasted a little bit too strong and the bread, although I like crunchy, was too hard, and with all the yummy ingredients still tasted a little bit blend. But I would say you just have to work with the additional Salt and Pepper. Overall, I am still giving 5 Stars, because the pastries are an absolute must if you like sweets and the environment is superb. Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles with all its hustle and bustle, when you enter you get immediately a calm and relaxing feel of a french backyard café. Awesome! Regarding getting there, it is relatively easy to get there with the Subway system and within 10minutes of walk. It will be hard to find parking though if you want to arrive by car. There is a parking garage next door for a reasonable price, but be aware that the parking spots are tiny.

Had breakfast with a dear friend here and it was quite charming. Pitchoun! Boulangerie Patisserie is a delight. The staff is friendly. Service was good. Though placing the order person was a bit prickly, but it didn’t spoil our fun. It was busy and still the order came out quick. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. The salads looked amazing. We ordered eggs Benedict (without bacon) and the poached egg was perfect. Each egg sits on a little brioche so it’s delicious but it’s not a big breakfast. The pastries are eye catching and with so many offerings it can be hard to choose. Everything was very tasty. We had a coffee cake, a raspberry custard tart (my personal favorite) and some croquettes. Really satisfying. Not too sweet or heavy. Coffee was very good. We both had large latte but next time I’ll get the regular size. Place and settings were clean, bustling and each table is arranged as a little vignette all its own. It has a very romantic vibe and you can enjoy wine with any menu item if that suits you. Oh and a gorgeous mini wine bar, an outside patio in front, a garden seating area on the side, plenty of indoor tables plus there’s take out and delivery options. Additionally the pastry shop offers lots of cookies and fun edibles for gifts or something to take home after dinning in. Very nice. I’ll be back.

Overall: 3.3/5 (dine in) They have a huge selection of pastries and serve breakfast/brunch items like egg benedicts. They also have monthly specials as well. After you order, they give you the pastry and a table number. The table number is for the drinks which was interesting to me. However, service could have been better. Pistachio Croissant ($5.95): The croissant was pretty big and full of pistachio. The lady didn't heat up the croissant and just put it on the plate. It didn't have much flavor but I felt it could have tasted better if it was warm. Iced Vanilla Latte ($6.60): The last recommended the vanilla latte as the best iced ones they had. Unfortunately, it was very milky so you only get hints of coffee here and there. It got worse as the ice melted so I would recommend you go somewhere else for coffee. Iced Matcha Latte ($6.15): Let's just say matcha is not their specialty. It tasted kinda bitter + milky so after my husband and I each took a sip, we added 1.5 packets of honey to make it taste better. It helped but obviously we would not be ordering drinks from here again. Our experience wasn't good but our friends who were with us enjoyed their chai latte, Americano, baguette, and croissant.

Very disappointed with our visit today. My wife ordered a vegetable omelet, and I ordered the breakfast sandwich. She got a cappuccino, and I got an Americano as well. The food came out and my sandwich was on a croissant. I wanted it on ciabatta, and I forgot to mention that when I ordered. To be clear the young lady taking our order didn't ask either. When I asked to get it changed, the person that came over thought I was asking her to debate what the menu said rather than just correct my order. She said it comes on croissant. I reminded her the menu offers either croissant or ciabatta. We had to get insistent to get her to change the bread. Mistake. The ciabatta was at least 2 to 3 days old. It was dry, stale, and stiff. The scrambled eggs were cooked hard and brown. Very unappetizing sandwich. I didn't eat the bread. My wife's omelet was over-cooked as well. Fried hard and brown. The coffees were OK. This visit was really disappointing since we like to have breakfast here when we're in town. We may have to rethink a return visit.

Friendly staff was welcoming and helpful in recommending a dessert. I wanted a chunky foamy chocolatey pastry and I knew that the texture of Opera was going to fulfill the richness of chocolate and mousse altogether. I definitely recommend it if you have a sweet tooth. As for my meal I went straight for their Parisian omelette which comes with three mini slices of bread + Greens. The omelette is made of organic eggs, thick cut ham, mushroom and Swiss cheese. I normally think eating an omelette is on the heavier side because of the stuffing in veggies/meat/cheese, but this one was a little lighter and perfect portion to enjoy for brunch. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m around :)

Food is Good. But they don't seem to care about health standards! I was there having breakfast and one of the waiters came and started sweeping the floor in the packed eating area. A man at a table near me very nicely asked him if he could do that later and to my surprise the waiter got angry, gave a dirty look to the guy and swept even harder trying to kick up more dust. It appears that one unhappy employee was very successful in not only ruining our meals but also creating a nasty UNHEALTHY environment in an eating establishment! I hope that man complained to the management and they took care of retraining their staff because not only I don't really want to go there any more I would also not recommend it to anyone for that reason!

This review is based on arriving 5 mins after closing time. After conveying to the staff cleaning outside our interest was in picking up some pastries if there were some left, he unlocked the door and there was a well presented staff member ready to take our order. The ham & cheese croissant, chocolate croissant and kouign-amann were all very, very good...especially when heated at home! We couldn't wait to taste some outside the store and the same man who let us in after closing time greeted us and asked about what we thought of the pastries in a heavy french accent. The entire first-time visit couldn't have been better! Thank you Pitchoun!

Worst croissant I’ve ever tasted. First time trying Pitchoun, ordered through uber eats on a Saturday morning: Plain croissant (0/5): seriously insulting. Dense like a rock, heavy, tasteless, worse than bad bread. Nothing like the fresh, flakey, buttery, treat one should expect. Ham and cheese croissant (2/5): edible, that’s it. Chocolate chip cookie (1/5): not fresh, weirdly greasy tasting, hard as a rock. Parian flan (0/5): for an item that claims to have a high risk of addition, this just plain sucks, cold, wet, bland, unfriendly jello. Oat milk latte (1/5): no coffee or oat milk tastes to be found anywhere in this ‘latte’ If you want tasty food, stay away!!

Pitchoun made my daughter's wedding cake and accompanying desserts - everyone marveled at the look of the cake and just ooed and ahhed at its taste. The bride and groom chose a white genoise cake with a strawberry infused butter cream. The exterior was French butter cream. It was light and delicate and just delicious. We also had 300 mini tarts to accompany the cake. The tarts where inhaled within 10 minutes after the cake had been served. I had ordered custom dessert boxes for the left overs but there were NONE. Everyone says, 'no one eats the wedding cake." At our wedding everyone did and more! This should be your go to bakery for any event dessert.

Very nice place to have breafast in Los Angeles but parking is their biggest issue. They have scramble eggs and good coffee. Their OJ is descent although small size. There is plenty of sweets to choose from including eclair, many tart, danish and croissant options, My favorite is the Flan Parisien, pretty close to the original from Paris, France.

Came here on Saturday hoping to find a local bakery to frequent and it was so disappointing I can’t stop thinking about it. I ordered a quiche, almond croissant and chai latte. The croissant was soggy and stale. It was like it had been baked, microwaved then left out for three days. I usually have a high level of forgiveness for sweets but it was so bad I couldn’t get past one bite. The quiche also seemed like it was microwaved. It was dead cold in the center and the crust wasn’t flaky anymore. Chai latte tasted more like horchata than chai.

I was here last year and loved the place so I was excited to come back again. Unfortunately only disappointment was waiting for me. Staff at the counter was neither friendly or rude, they simply didn’t care. I ordered Latte and Almond Croissant after waiting for 15 minuets I went to ask about my order. Somehow they missed it, the lady reluctantly apologized to me and I got my order. Latte was watery I couldn’t even drink a half of it (it didn’t even looked good). The almond croissant still was great. I’m disappointed how the quality of food and service has dropped within a year. Only 3 stars now...used to be 5.

I had this place logged in my "must visit" folder for a long time, and when I finally got to Pershing Square.....I forgot they closed at 3. But the NEXT time I was at Pershing Square, I made it and ordered two nice little sweets. Sadly, no savoury as I had plans for that at my final destination. But what I had was excellent. This nice little rolled creme filled croissant (Pride themed, appropriately) and an apricot tart. Stunningly well crafted perfectly made pastry, crunchy where it should be, gooey where it should be, flavourful. A divine experience. Bonus point, the toilets are exceptional.

  • anne

The pastries here are so good. The traditional baguette was good, the strawberry danish was just OK but the palmier was really delicious. I was disappointed that I couldn’t try the croissant because they were already sold out. We also got the breakfast sandwich with the ciabatta. The ciabatta felt a little cold compared to the rest of the ingredients in the sandwich, but it was still yummy. I’ll be back for their palmier and to try their other pastries.

I was pretty sceptical about the whole “Provence” and French spiel here (I travel to France frequently). First food. The bread was soft and nicely toasted. The eggs were fine. They were drowning in hollandaise sauce. I could not taste the salmon because of it. Coffee was lukewarm. Large cup of coffee is a bowl (what?). This is a big operation and it lacks any kind of charm (charm = 0), like french cafes do. Pastries looked enormous, so I skipped them altogether (pastries in France are never large. Quality over quantity). Hence all this, two stars taken away.

I came to this place because of it's great reviews. Very modern indoor and nice french vibe. It doesn't get to crowded. The place is very cozy, and is a perfect quick bite. Very delectable pastries and breakfast items. The salad my meals usually come with, Awesome! I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, I loved how there are even grill stripes on it, it's just nice. The coffee is probably ONE of the best in L.A in my opinion. This place has the heart of Paris! I highly recommend this place for breakfast for tourists coming to L.A. for the first time.

The French toast was delicious and I’m grateful they still serve it for lunch. I’m a breakfast food lover. I paired it with the smooth matcha latte and they went well together. Extra points for the cute design. Also got a couple macarons for an extra treat

I stopped in Pitchoun! just before closing and was surprised by the large selection they still had available. There were lots of pastries, breads, cakes, and cookies left. I got a caramel vanilla eclair and a lemon meringue tart, which were both very tasty. I got lucky with parking, there are some street spots right in front of the bakery. I will say there was one fruit tart in the case that was clearly burnt, I'm not sure why they were put out and not thrown away. But everything else looked phenomenal.

Pitchoun is my go-to French bakery/cafe. Food is authentic and delicious. Coffee is a little strong for my taste, but if you love strong coffee, you will love it! Warning: You may gain 10 lbs just drooling over the pastries!

Adorable French bakery! We came here for breakfast as it was right by our hotel. Delicious French pastries and baked goods in a cute, cosy and rustic setting. It’s a bit on a the pricey side but definitely expected since you’re paying for quality (and that’s it’s in DTLA). We got the almond croissant, the gougeres and the pain au raisins which were all divine. One funny thing was that everyone who worked here is actually French, definitely made us feel like we were actually in a Parisian cafe!

Had a great experience, reminds me of PAris I spent about 60 total I got Scottish eggs Benedict side of beacon , aperol spritz , two cappuccinos and a Crossaint and homemade chips that tasted like thanksgiving ✨✨✨this place is like a casual dinning version of bodega Louie less expensive and elevated fast casual I went on a Saturday morning around 10 and it was pretty busy, but still plenty of seating

Had breakfast here Saturday morning. The place is fantastic: clean, nicely designed, very friendly personnel and servers. The reason I’m giving it three stars is the food quality. I had a focaccia with egg and bacon which has clearly at least a day old, felt oily and too much dough for my taste. Then I ordered a salad which was ok- too much dressing on it. The most disappointing was the pastry- the Mille-feuille desert which is supposed to be freshly made was at least three days old.

  • Jeremy Sussman

One of the first stops I did while in LA. A little French breakfast place with some incredible dishes. I ordered the eggs Benedict and a latte and was not disappointed. I myself enjoy a very runny poached egg and was happy to see the poaching on the egg was perfect. The hollandaise wasn’t split as well making this a great breakfast to start the day.

This place is delicious! I love the atmosphere, inside and out, plus the food is absolutely fresh and flavorful. I was in the mood for some eggs and they had a Parisian Omelet that had spinach, ham, and swiss cheese that melts in your mouth. And it's a hearty portion too. :-) The chocolate croissant tasted good, I just wish the chocolate inside was spread out more instead of 1 tiny strip in the middle. Overall not bad. If you're in DTLA, you should definitely stop by! :-)

Staff are very friendly, service is great. I came here to try their almond croissants cause I heard they were insanely good. I just dont understand why a bakery would sell stale croissants? I threw it in the garbage and I do really hate wasting food. It is a nice place but ask them and make sure that their baked stuff is fresh or not.

I visited my family in Los Angeles CA and we hoped to find a great French pain.(bread). I am not a connoisseur of all things French, but I really enjoyed this restaurant. They have: coffee, pastries, ambiance, street parking ( or paid $6.00+), tables inside and out, restroom for patrons and t shirts for sale. $6-$10 for a patisserie, It's well worth the money. It's a treat to enjoy great flavors, and I'll be back.

Delicious croissant, incredibly friendly staff, cozy interior! Perfect for a morning pick me up. I stopped here to pick up coffee one morning, when I was visiting LA. The pastries in their display looked irresistible and I had to try their chocolate almond croissant! And boy, this croissant was so delicious, perfect amount of crumbly, soft, buttery, crunchy and chocolatey. I had to go back the next morning for a second taste because I couldn’t get it out of my mind.

Warmed up Almond Croissant was fantastic. Service was quick and easy. Location was a cute little French Bakery in Downtown LA. Tons of seating inside and great place to sit and take in the ambience with a hot cup of coffee and pastry. The caffe Late was just how I like it in a mug with just enough sweetness. Couple next to me had an omelette and avocado toast which looked scrumptious. Pricing was moderate for Los Angeles, and overall great little breakfast place.

Oh my goodness what can I say everything about this place is on Point!!! Pastries People Patio Perfection Professionalism top-of-the-line service from the servers and waiters I had the DTLA & mimosa blueberry scone and a chocolate chip cookie to go Lo-ki I thought I was in France so if you looking to travel without the hustle and bustle of trains planes and automobiles come thru you will enjoy this awesome Experience... What happened with Pitchoun? Used to be one the best French bakeries around LA. Now it's only location in the city. $46 for tiny skinny pecan pie? $4.20 for smallest chewy Cannele de Bordeaux? ‍ And at least wanted the taste of pastries to closely match the prices, but no - quality is a thing of the past along with reasonable prices. Let's see how long you can stay in business

Loved this place! I was so excited to meet a friend here and it’s been on my list for a while. Amazing assortment of French pastries and deserts. I had marble cake, a turkey and cheese croissant, and a vanilla latte. All of them were great. Croissant was flaky and marble cake was moist. The vibes of this place are so nice and I’ll definitely be coming back soon. The best morning or early afternoon spot to chill and enjoy the day.

It's more hype than anything. The pastries are not all that. The peach tart we tried was subpar. My plate had the smell of egg which interfered with the flavor of my omelette. The macchiato coffee was average. In general, this place for being hyped as a bakery of French pastries...was merely like your average bakery. The ambiance was nice and they had live music. The waitress was in training but very nice and kind.

  • Ashley Payne

Grabbed breakfast here one morning and the omelet was scrumptious. It was a simple omelet with ham and mushrooms but it was bursting with flavor. I honestly wanted to order another one because it was so good but I didn’t. I also grabbed a fruit tart for a friend’s birthday and he demolished it and said it was one of the best he’s had.

Excellent food! They have lots of fresh pastries (the foccaccia was a favourite!), as well as some other fresh fare like sandwiches, breakfast dishes, etc. The croque madame was wonderful and the coffee is very good. The ambiance is also great - it's cozy with brick walls and homey decor, but pretty spacious and not at all cramped. Service was also so friendly

I regret to order food from the menu but not the pastry. Sandwich is ok, nothing special. I order the salmon bowl, a bit disappointed. I assume this is more like salad bowl but end up a very oily bowl. The mashed salmon is just a lump of oily mixture. When people choose salad or bowl, they expect something refreshing but not this one. I didn’t order any pastry so my review only for the food from the menu.

Croissant was the best I've ever had and decently priced, however the French toast is overrated and overpriced! Spent almost $90 for 2 adults, 2 teens and a 10 year old for food and coffee or other drinks. I've never had a macaroon so we wanted to try one and they literally charged $2.50 for a single macaroon! We were done eating by time we got our drinks. The food looked pretty but that's about it.

Somehow I deeply like this place. It feels like a historical place for me right at Pershing Square and Millenium Biltmore Hotel. All items are always fresh. I strongly recommend the bakery items. The Danish and Croissants. Also as I like endless coffee cups there is a huge cup on the menu enough for 2 people. I didn't get a chance to try the breakfast items yet but they are all look amazing.

First don’t get the apple tart! It has apple sauce inside it and not sliced or poached apples. Other than that everything is incredible! Friendly employees and the food is so good. We ate here everyday for breakfast while we were in town for a convention and cannot wait to come back. The name translates to kiddo in English if you didn’t know!

What a cute French coffee shop in DTLA with outdoor seatings. Come with me! I had: 1. Hazelnut latte 2. Croissant with taro paste 3. Sweet crepes with nutella How cute is my latte art! It’s a little bunny! They have so many different pastries. Looks like heaven! I love bringing my laptop to work in peaceful cafes. The outdoor seatings remind me of sitting in cafes in France. So chill!

I had the best sandwich in this place and the pastries they have were amazing. I particularly tried DTLA sandwich and espresso croissant with coffee. The sandwich was quite big but very delicious. I liked their touch with mayo sauce. The croissant had sweet espresso filling and it was perfect with coffee. My coworkers all loved their food and I like to visit here again for sure.

Why cannot I put at least 5+?? AMAZING place! Highly-highly recommend! We came here for a breakfast. Ordered salmon tartini, chocolate eclair, breakfast sandwich, and a bread pudding with two coffees, — and everything was very delicious. Literally best meal ever! This is love! Fav place to have breakfast at, when in LA. P.S. they made a cute cat on my husbands’ latte <3

  • Emanuel Trejo

Basing this solely on pastries I tried. Went early when they opened hoping to have a FRESH croissant but unfortunately it was a bit stale and tasted like it was from the day (or two) before. Also the case with the chocolate croissant. If you want a fresh and tasty croissant go to tartine instead. Unfortunately both will be overpriced. How I miss France.

  • Barndi Kim

Went on a recommendation that their croissants were amazing and to try their Tropezienne but found the croissants to be just okay and no Tropezienne (seasonal). Their Nutella croissant had a lot of Nutella in it and a nice change from pain as chocolat. Baguette was also just okay. But I think it’s a good lunch spot w sandwiches etc in DTLA.

  • Claire He (Claire He)

Never had a bad experience here - tea, food, service, not to mention pastries. Had a potato cake (kartoffelkage if there is a French version with more layers?) just now with white tea out on the patio. The only downside is that they don’t offer WiFi, but curates to a sit-down brunch or teatime clientele looking for some time to unplug.

Super dog friendly. I had my German Shepard with me and the staff loved her. The food is delicious and fresh. The bakery is amazing and you want buy everything they got. Located in the heart of downtown, it’s a great spot for friends and a causal date. I will be back for more. They got both inside and outside dining.

As you sidestep the dt homeless and pass the soulless suits this place provides an oasis of good vibes and delectable indulgences. Probably the best Nutella beignets in the country and the croissants are right up there. Great homemade chips and even better service. Go for the Avocado Toast alone.

Great French coffee and bistro Parisian Brie remind me my times leaving in Paris Traditional baquetee well prepared and delicious There patisseries fresh and taste great Very clean and friendly staff creates great atmosphere Get ready to pay $$$ for quality and service definitely visit again

Very cute spot! The food we ordered was decent. Staff were friendly. Would definitely like to try more different things on their menu! When youre sitting next to the fireplace outside, it does not feel like you're in the downtown! Extremely cozy, outside atmosphere is great and quiet.

  • Shilpa T

Loved this place for its fresh croissants and coffee. The place is well maintained and has inside and outdoor seating available. Their specialty coffees are also good, and the desserts were too good.

It's the most exciting bakery menu I’ve come across. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm a sweet tooth and have tried many pastries and desserts in this establishment and each of them was especially tasty and not sickly sweet. We will definitely come again and again!

Wonderful French bakery option for breakfast in downtown. Great selection of pastries and baked treats. Friendly quick service at the counter and coffee served French style in a bowl.

Coffee was great! Had breakfast there as well. Food was good but a bit overpriced. Also had a bit of a snafu with the wrong item delivered to my table. Not handled well at all by staff. Made it seem as if it were my mistake. Didn't really resolve the situation.

Incredible customer service, food was delectable, and we will be back tomorrow, as a flight attendant i’ve been around all parts of France, and this place takes me back there.

I love this place. But it’s not cheap for what they serve. The quality and flavors are amazing nonetheless. My fav almond croissant anywhere. The bread is amazing and the omelettes are fantastic. Not to mention the cold sandwiches and Smoked salmon.

  • Linda Wu

Raspberry croissant was way too goopy. And the loaf of bread we picked up was extremely stale. Very disappointing.

The atmosphere was enjoyable. I am gluten free so there were a ton of things I could not eat, but it smelled great and my breakfast partner said the pastry was excellent. The eggs were well done, not over cooked, and the side of bacon was generous.

  • Daniel G. Lam

Having spent $50, the overall quality and taste is good but not great. The pastries and the breads are probably the best I've tasted in Southern California. Pitchoun does provide quick service despite the lengthy lines during the busy lunch hour.

  • Amber Munoz

Came for breakfast. The french toast and iced chai tea were perfect. Best french toast I've ever had. Stop by here for a pastry, some coffee and a good bite to eat.

This bakery has a delicious assortment of pastries and meals! The macarons, beignets, cream cheese pastries, were all fantastic (and the list goes on). The avocado toast was amazing as well, and I will definitely visit again when I'm back in LA!

  • Ken Mann

It's a bakery it's a bistro and it's all wonderfully French - authentic. A pastry case to die for, coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, enjoy. I had a heavenly slice of flan Parisian. Smooth, creamy, a touch of vanilla and a browned skin on top. Yum.

  • CHIB B.Banyong de MERCADO

This bakery though a bit expensive for my taste, it is only a short walk from the FAMOUS Millennium Biltmore Hotel in L.A. on S. Olive Street. The "small" breakfast of two soft boiled eggs, 10 leaves of green salad in oil& vinegar dressing,

  • José da Silva

The food is really good. Really nice vibe at this place. I definitely recommend the chocolate almond croissant Really tasty latte. The eggs Benedict are not the traditional one, they use baguette instead and it's a really nice twist.

  • David Lopez

The pastries themselves were fine. A bit bland but nothing necessarily wrong with them. The reason for the 2 stars is I found a shriveled up hair in my croissant. Pretty sure it was baked into it since it was so dry and thin. Disgusting

  • Jojo N

Cozy little place to have breakfast. Decent breakfast options, coffee was not so great though. The best thing is of course the pastries. Our favorite one is the charcoal croissant but unfortunately, they don't have that one anymore.

Very cute spot! The food we ordered was decent. Staff were friendly. Would definitely like to try more different things on their menu! When youre sitting next to the fireplace outside, it does not feel like you're in the downtown!

  • Woody Steinhoff

Wonderful bakery tucked away. The blueberry muffin is full of so many blueberries, its ridiculous. Large window gives you visibility into the kitchen. Priced well for the area. Very pleasing environment for a cup of green tea

  • A C

The food was good and our coffee was tasty, but it was the environment, vibe and ambience that I enjoyed the most. It’s pricey for what you get...but it was still enjoyable. For sure a place to visit if you’re in DTLA!

  • Mario Jones

Fun, welcoming feel to this stay or take-away restaurant with excellent food and amazing bakery items. Love the atmosphere and the friendly service. Happy to find them open downtown Los Angeles on a Sunday afternoon.

  • brian anderson

My downtown lunch go-to. Great patisserie and French Bistro food! Their Nicoise salad has such great flavors and everything is always made with quality and care. Nice courtyard outside and good ambiance inside.

  • Wout Meeuwissen

Great French bakery with delicious French sandwiches, pastries, and bread. The croc monsieur and croissants are especially delicious. Excellent if you are staying at the Biltmore, only a 30 second walk.

  • Valentina Sanna

Great place for breakfast with amazing pastry freshly baked, but also good for lunch with many salty options to choose from. It has outsoor space for sitting, just in front of Pershing Square.

  • Ameya Joshi

Amazing place with extensive menu! They have unique items on menu like ‘king cake’ (we had it for to go). The danish and Paris Brest was simply perfect! A must go patisserie in LA downtown.

  • Noah

5/5, cute and friendly, I got a peanut butter flavored dessert and a coffee and both were tasty. I originally stopped to use their restroom but was pleasantly surprised by the experience.

  • Christian Garris

Excellent selection of French pastries, breakfast, and coffee. Plenty of outdoor, shaded seating. Plus, it’s actually open! Update on 9/9/21: Currently closed with no clear opening times.

  • Nicola

They have some good items for breakfast and lunch but the overall experience is not great. The place lack attention to details and has an overall feel of mediocrity. Not worth a detour.

  • Sam H

Really nice breakfast place with a variety of pastries and dishes. The food is delicious if a littler on the more pricey side. Friendly staff and nice ambience. Really good coffee.

  • Benjamin Chislett

A delightful french-style boulangerie with strong and crispy bread, good quality pastries, and a wide menu for dine-in meals. Very expensive pastries, but delicious nonetheless

  • Master Boul

Paid around $15 for this French toast which is pretty expensive in my opinion, and overall it was quite lackluster. Quite thick. Served on a large flat rock textured plate.

  • J. Ciera Thompson

Delicious authentic French food - owned by a sweet couple from France. Flaky croissants & eggs cooked to perfection on the Niscoise salad & terrines are my go-to favorites.

  • Julia Arellano

Met a long time friend of many years here. We treated ourself to a bunch of delights and then ordered the Benedict and the grilled cheese. Literally nothing disappointed!!!

  • Romina Mir

The vibe and atmosphere is very nice but I expected way better from a French cafe! The pastries are ordinary and the have absolutely no idea how to make matcha latte:)

  • Patrick Harding

Just here for E3, and this place was close to our hotel. Delicious food, and Large portions. True bakery food, not some corner store apple turnover! Highly recommend!

  • Duygu Aytekin

There are many options. We ate focaccia with tomato and bacon for breakfast, it was delicious. Their coffees are good too. I'll be there again tomorrow morning …

  • Lily Kim

I have never been disappointed with the food here. Amazing bakery, great matcha latte, and breakfast sandwich... amazing. So glad I came in during my visit to LA!

  • Damocles

I really liked the chill atmosphere of this Cafe. The selection of sandwiches, pastries, and coffee are so tasty. The "Rostbif" went really good with Chai Latte.

  • Nuzya Hasan

Excellent location clean and friendly atmosphere professional staff delicious food Amazing cupcakes very very fresh bread and tasty Danish, must try macroons .

  • Yousef Meguid

Breakfast was great, French waffles, egg Benedict, and service was amazing. Kids loved the food and outdoor seating area, will be back for again for sure.

  • G Any

A Real little piece of FRANCE ! A real French Baguette, French croissant and "pain au chocolat". I little bite expensive but I REALLY like this place!!

  • Sid White

Casual and kinda rustic. Walk-in and counter order. Nice French-ish offerings and amazing Nicoise Salad and Grilled Cheese. An LA lunchtime favorite.

  • Aya Thompson

They have amazing pastries and their coffee is spectacular quality! I've also had their cake ordered in advanced for a birthday and it was delicious!

  • Vivian Tran (Kane)

The food looked and tasted wonderful. Was made really quickly and the food was well seasoned. Definitely recommend the eggs Benedict and ratatouille.

  • Tugba Koker

Raspberry croissant is not worth it, but raspberry beignet is definitely delicious! Nice French ambience but nothing striking. Super packed at noon.

  • Ark M (Mushedroom's Toy Box)

deliciously decadent and my new favorite spot for an amazing grab and go meal. HINT: breakfast is bomb but grab the gribiche and a coffee eclair...
