I was not able to join them. When I came the first time, they were well staffed yet the three employees at the front desk were doing whatever was in their power to keep busy with other things than myself who I said I want a tour. Then, after the tour I was told I need a void cheque or a direct deposit slip - ofc, everyone carries with them a void cheque (it is not mentioned in any of their flyers as a condition). Okay, fine, I will return with a cheque. I came next Wednesday, Feb 9th, and the girl at the front desk tried to discourage me mentioning the cheque - I said I have it and that seemed to depress her. Then she remembered another reason I might not be able to join "And 1$ in cash". I said that I have 20$ and she almost gave up fighting me. Then she said "Oh, but I only have small change - coins, loonies". I was annoyed and told her "I guess I am lucky that it's not dimes?". She grinned - "Oh, we can give you dimes". That was enough for me. I came home and checking their website I realized that the only feedback one can give is if it's their member and wants to talk about cleanness or other things. Just a form - no email or any other form. I found their Facebook page and left a message - ofc, nobody got back to me. I think that if this is how they treat a potential customer at a time when they are trying to make a name and a clientele here, in Ottawa, things will get much worse when they have the customers' base. I am a low maintenance person but even I could not get over the way they were looking for any reason to send me away. They are cheap, ofc, at just 10$/mo + 39$ annual fee but I would rather pay 40-50$/mo and not be treated like crap. ------------------- I was contacted 2 days later and I was pleasantly surprise that, while my local experience was less than stellar, the PF management was concerned and wanted to hear more and do something about it. They heard - really listened, not just do their job - my issues and feedback and offered me freebies to gain my business and convince me it was just a fluke. I did not take those - already found something more convenient to me but kudos to them - I am sure they will fix this issues and provide great service, not only great prices. This is the reason why I change my initial 1* to 3* (5+1/2 = 3).

UPDATE: spoke with the general manager after the reply that was put below my original post. He was unwilling to admit his staff made errors in explaining how reopening your membership works, administrative errors in taking my email as well as dealing with client upsets. I acknowledged yes that I probably should have read the fine print, but in the absence of customer service and the explanation of policy and preoceedures of reopening your account not being properly explained to nor receiving an email outlining the forms I was signing (on a very small payterminal screen) I did not realize this was any different from opening a closed account. I hoped that the GM would understand and being that I've held a black card membership for over a year be a little more courteous in trying to keep me as a member. I asked if he would be willing to waive the fee at this time, letting me pay it at another and even that compromise was declined. I've sent an email to cooperate and the BBB, my experience in customer service has me completely floored in the handling of this. If my manager were handling patrons like this I would be worried about losing repeat and established business. ORIGINAL POST: Im very unhappy with my service. I had a membership for a year with this location. I moved to another township and decided to try and find a gym there's so I cancled my membership. A month later and I didn't find what I was looking for so I reopened my account. I had already paid the annual fee in july, I literally had canceled for a month and they charged me another annual fee WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME as they had the wrong email address written down I got nothing in terms of billing. Called and spoke with a. Representivie and she basically said this is how it goes. So I have 100 in nsf fees and I still have to pay this. I do not want to use this gym anymore if this is the kind of treatment and response I get from their customer service. I pay for the black card, I paid the annual. This is not good customer service. They say its because I opened a new account, I did not they used all of my old information even my old picture. Very unsatisfied and even angry about this situation.

I signed up on January 21st, I paid a $20 plus tax start up fee and $13.32 instead of $15 because I signed up in the middle. For Valentine's day they were offering a promotion that offered a $5 start up fee so on February 13th I figured I would inquire as to if I was eligible since I signed up less than a month before hand and I was informed that I was not entitled to any promotions that occurred after I initially signed up. I was immediately turned off by this lack of customer service and I decided to cancel on the spot. When asked the reason for my wanting to cancel, I told them just that, that I was turned off by their policies to which I was told that I could complain to corporate but I would be told the same thing as the customer service reps on location had told me. To add further insult to injury, while performing the cancellation I was informed that since I did not cancel before the 10th of the month, February's fees would not be stopped. $16.95 was debited from my account on Feb. 17th. When asked if I could still use the gym for the month of February, I was informed that once my membership was cancelled I would not be able to have access to the gym at all. Other gyms I have attended actually do honour promotions a month after signing up and allow access to the gym for the duration of time paid for. So essentially I paid $54.60 for a 21 day gym membership. The only blessing is that I cancelled before the $40-$50 maintenance fees kicked in on March 1st. I joined this gym to save money not be screwed out of more money. Incredible unhappy and disappointed! Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy being screwed over by deplorable policies!

Just joined recently. Can't beat the price, it's many times more affordable than any other gym. Love how clean it is, and how many machines they have. Employees are helpful. I have one concern/suggestion, however. There is a section with barbells and dumbells, and the dumbells are adequate, going up to 60lbs, but the barbells in the free weight section only go up to 60lbs. For some exercises like squats, bench press, deadlift, etc. 60lbs is a pretty low limit to have. So with my workout program, I need to use the Smith Machines. They have heavy enough weights, as well as a full-size bar to use, but I'm concerned with using that machine vs a free-weight barbell in a power rack or squat rack. Doing bench presses, squats, etc. on the Smith Machine limit your motion because the weight is on a track. This can be dangerous, and results in having to adjust your body around the motion of the machine, rather than moving the weight with proper form. This can be extremely dangerous. I am a beginner, and I am afraid that as soon as I see progress and increase the weights I'm lifting, I will run into problems with being stuck with bad form on these machines. My suggestion would be if it was possible for Planet Fitness to add a squat rack/bench press rack/power rack to the gym? One of those large frames that has hooks and pins to hold a full-size barbell so you can do proper squats and deadlifts and bench presses with a free weight. This is safer than having to do those exercises on a machine. I know that reviews here sometimes get responses from Planet Fitness, so I hope to hear back.

Used the place only for few days.i thought the facility was good but the manager Michelle Dudka is absolutely horrible.have no sense of customer service and should not be a manager or serving customers.their policy is even horrible. They will renew the annual membership of $44 without even notifying you.when I asked them they said when i signed up 1 yr before, i signed that annual membership will be taken every yr without any notice.now i cancelled after 2wks of taking the annual fee.so their policy is they ll take the membership fee but wont refund me and wont even let me use anything for the annual membership fee.so y are they taking the fee? They should atleast prorate it and refund it. The manager Michelle Dudka thinks she owns all the planet fitness in Ottawa.when i asked her is there a city manager or district manager she kept yelling rudely im the manager and then finally she heard what i have been asking her and answered. Stay away from planet fitness, absolutely horrible management and policy. Update: I then discussed the matter with consumer protection Ontario and they suggested me I send a letter by mail asking to refund my membership fee or else I take the matter to Consumer protection Ontario. and if they don't I can then contact consumer protection Ontario and they will deal with the business. After sending the letter, almost instantly the gym returned my membership fee as they knew in Ontario they are not allowed to charge membership fee without a renewal notice.

Recently I joined the gym and got the premium membership at $20 month. I am very impressed by the cleanliness. I have been to other gyms and was always sick from the lack of cleaning. Everyone seems to respect the "clean equipment" when your done set up. The showers and locker rooms are spotless. Staff are very eager to help and always available for questions or simply to help you out. All the machines are easy to use, excellent descriptions on how to use the equipment and no intimidation from anyone. They have the following equipment and more: Seated leg curls, Leg extensions, Chest press, Pulldown, Shoulder Press, Back extensions, Abdominals, Hip adduction, Hip abduction, Bicept Curl Tricept Extension, Low Row, Manual Abs, Triceps Press and Torso Rotation. The 30 minute workout (yellow section) has the following equipment: Leg Extension, Leg Curl, Chest Press, Lat Pull Down, Seated Row, Shoulder Press, Bicep Curl, Tricep Extension and Abdominals. There are several others but I haven't use them yet such as free weights. If you are looking for a gym to join, this would be your best bet. $10 for just the equipment or $20 includes Hydramassage lounge/bed, tanning and massage chairs. You can even bring someone with you everytime for free!!

To all the customers that have billing issues or just find this gym lackluster I emplore you to try fit 4 less on Ogilvie road or Innes as you will never have misinformation regarding your membership and price point is legit the same as planet fitness with triple the locations for your convenience. I honestly think the Robertson location gives planet fitness a horrible experience for patrents looking for a good workout regiment. If I was to base my experience with the services received at the Merivale location then my review would be the complete opposite as they have better staff and an overall better approach to a clean location and interactive team that puts their members first. Not only is the staff standoffish but they have many members whom are rude and inconsiderate of fellow members but staff does nothing to resolve what they witness daily. I would stick with fit4less and if you need to stay involved with planet fitness then I would suggest you use Merivale road. I was forced to use Robertson location due to hydro situation and completely and utterly regret every moment I spent there.

Just got my membership yesterday (April 14, 2023) and had a cardio workout. I did not really understand how to utilize the elliptical to my advantage but thought I would ask a staff member to explain a few things for me. Guess what, there was not a single staff member available to assist me. I'm told at this point that this location only has one trainer who only works M-F and is off on the weekends. So being Saturday I was out of luck for any help or assistance in this whole gym. What a let down for me considering this was only my 2nd day at this location and my enthusiasm was now totally deflated. When I spoke to a staff worker at the admin. counter about my disappointment and conveyed the fact that I may cancell my membership only two days into getting it, his response was apathetic. Well, I suppose as the saying goes ... you get what you pay for! It's really too bad that PF has such a mediocre attitude towards their clients, considering they could take an opposite approach and learn how to be a much more professional establishment.

I visit this gym almost everyday. Everything was fine until today (04-DEC-2022 Time of Incident: between 5:45 pm and 6:20 pm). While doing some abdomen crunches, the machine collapsed and my neck hit the machine very hard (You can check your CCTV). I immediately informed staff to put a notice so that other people will be aware of it. Even after complaining the staff who were at the reception did not care and behaved like thats not a big deal. This machine had a problem in the past and it was temporarily unavailable but not sure what happened they have removed the notice and people started using it. I may need to visit a doctor as there is a severe neck pain. I highly recommend management to maintain their machines properly and take action towards the staff (lady and a guy) working during that time as they ignored my complaint and did not put any kind of notice to the machine.

This place being very much frustrating for me. May be great with equipment and staff or cleanliness. However the manager does not seems caring anymore for customers and their concerns. I am following up about my refund since this place was closed due to the covid and they have been charging me on my card after freezing the card. Manager was never found whenever I have called to this place, I have visited 3 times this place on Saturdays so I understand Saturday manager is not available but I have left my concerns to front counter staff three of my visits and seems they have never told to the manger. Fortunately I was able to talk to the lady manager last to last week and she assured me that the higher level of manger will call me back to discuss the issue and no one called until today. I am looking forward someone responsible and accountable person to contact me.

My mask rubber broke and I was leaving the gym without a mask and this was my first time doing that. Anyways. A worker called Nicki got mad right away and told me You need to have a mask on, I said tomorrow I will have one. She did not give me a chance and she kicked me out from gym and cancelled my member ship. I been at this gym for two years and I got kicked out right away, without even a warning. Also as you can see in the image she sent me 5 emails and each were 5 minutes a part which sounds as if she was fighting me through emails or showing that she has the power through the gym. I went back to the gym asking for Shanon and she said it was Shanon's decision too.However she said she will call Shanon to talk and instead she called someone else and she said to them that I was refusing to leave the gym . I HAVE A VIDEO PROVING ALL MY POINT!!!!!!!!!

Gym membership is cheap and also includes tanning but since the new interpretation of COVID laws working out has become difficult. I was not able to get a copy the exact law they are following but from what I found online it states masks must be worn inside the gym at all times except when you have a escalated heart rate. They have interpreted this to mean you must have a mask on except when doing cardio or you have a weight in your hand. This interpretation is much different than the actual law. I'm usually out of breath after my set not during it. I'd much rather and I believe it's healthier for the person to keep the mask on at all times except when you're out of breath/gasping for air. I've even noticed my lungs begin to hurt after a previous season for a day after trying to catch my breath with a mask on.

No issues here. Staff is polite and (I mean this nicely) they stay out of your way. I never feel bothered to upgrade my membership, buy merch, or anything of the such. I enjoy going, and don't feel much in the way of judgement (what I do feel is all in my head, I know that). Like any gym, it has a slight rubber-y/sweat smell and can be a little on the warm side, but what do you expect. Water fountains are easy to access, cleaning stations are well spaced out, and people seem respectful of gym rules. I don't go for any professional-level goals, so it works for me. If you just need a gym to do some cardio, and some basic toning, you have what you need. Locker rooms are well maintained as well, sometimes an empty locker can be a little hard to find, but I have never had an issue yet.

Great clean gym with courteous and polite staff. There's a plethora of cardio machines so you're never there waiting for one to be vacant. There is enough equipment to get the job done, although this is not a "bodybuilding gym" (there are no squat racks, Olympic platforms etc.) I can't stop laughing at the clearly jealous females leaving a Google review specifically addressing "the lack of dress code". So what if someone wants to workout in a sports bra? If that makes you feel insecure about yourself, that's your own issue. Let people workout in whatever they want to workout in, and perhaps you should focus on improving your own body before commenting on other people's bodies and their outfit choices. Maybe that way you'll feel less insecure about yours.

Everyone that is under the assumption that their membership fees are still frozen due to Covid should check their bank accounts. Somehow, Planet fitness thinks that it is completely acceptable to start charging you monthly fees without communicating this with you first. Checked out my account and found out that I was charged at the end of August as well as my annual fee even though I have not gone back. When calling the gym, they said that automatic renewals are written in your contract and that there are absolutely no refunds. Well, I guess those will be the last fees they will ever get from me. Completely sleazy buisness tactics. Will be calling Better Business Bureau to submit complaint.

I had such a great experience coming here. I had signed up just before covid and had found the environment friendly and having lots of equipment. The staff are friendly and attentive. I was only able to attend for a few months before Covid put everything into lock down. As, situations changed for some of us I was no longer able to continue going to the gym due to financial reasons. I was signed up for a year. It was with such relief that the manager was empathetic and allowed me to cancel my membership. If opportunity allows me in the future, I will come back. Thank you Planet Fitness. Definitely great for the price. It's clean, and it's modern, if a little small. There's lots of cardio machines, which is great; but if you want to lift weights and it's busy, there's not a whole lot of room. I also have the black card, so I can bring my less than dedicated boyfriend when I feel like it, or any other guest. That's pretty much the only reason why I have the black card. I find the massage chairs and hydrotherapy beds overrated - half the time there's a lineup ontop of having 4 beds (3 of which always seem to be out of order) and 2 massage chairs (where one of the 2 is always out of order). For a student on a budget though, this is a pretty great place for what you pay.

I DECIDED TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AND A STAFF MEMBER NAMED CHRIS AND THE DARK SKINNED LADY WHO WORKS THE FRONT DESK ASSURED ME THERE WOULD BE NO MORE PAYMENTS WITHDRAWN FROM MY ACOUNT. A WEEK OR SO LATER I CHECK MY ACCOUNT AND I WAS CHARGED A MONTHLY AND AN ANNUAL FEE. I SPOKE TO THE MANAGER JAY EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND HIS WORDS WERE "I BELIEVE MY STAFF" ESSENTIALLY CALLING ME A LIAR AFTER STAFF WOULD NOT OWN UP TO THEIR ACTIONS. JAY THE MANAGER TOLD ME "NO REFUNDS". MANAGEMENT CLEARLY VALUES PROFIT OVER PEOPLE AND HAS NO INTEGRITY. IVE SINCE LEARNED THEY HAVE WRONGFULLY CHARGED OTHERS AS WELL. SOON WILL FILE A COMPLAINT WITH BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

I have attended this gym for many years but due to health complications I can no longer go. I have tried to cancel my membership multiple times since the gym opened back up during COVID. Unlike every other gym in Ottawa, Planet Fitness will only let you cancel your membership if you either go in person (you read that correctly) or send them a letter in the mail. A letter in which you have to pay to mail, which has zero confirmation for when it’s been received. Can’t wait for you to charge the next month because you didn’t read my letter in time. Thank you for doing as little as humanly possible to be accommodating during a world wide pandemic. What a complete joke.

It's been a week training in this Planet Fitness now. This is my first experience with a "big gym" as I usually train in smaller workplace gyms. I have been impressed with the attention to details when it comes to cleaning and the machines and weights are all brand new. The reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because I expected to find a squat rack and free barbells to load with weights (as in any gym in the world) and I was disappointed in seeing there's no way somebody can lift free weights (unless you opt for dumbbells). I expected more... I don't know if "bigger" planet fitness have those or if it's against their company policy... But it would have been nice.

Been a client for a few years but won't be renewing. It is a budget gym, and anyone who joins thinking otherwise shouldn't be surprised, and I am not complaining about that aspect. However, I was accosted by another member, who I have seen accosting and abusing other members as well as Jr. staff and the management won't even respond to me about it. They have a person who threatens others, including staff, and stalks women at their gym and they don't seem to care. I can't support this. For a company that prides itself on a "judgement free zone" their condoning of bullying and harrassment is dumbfounding.

Excellent gym - always immaculately clean, the air is very fresh, the airflow is great from the huge fans, friendly staff, good selection of well maintained machines. The only issue I have is that like 2/3 of the gym is reserved for cardio equipment but even during peak times I have never seen more than one third of those cardio machines in use. Whereas the weightlifting portions of the gym (free weights and cables) are always over capacity. If the staff reads this: PLEASE REMOVE SOME CARDIO MACHINES AND REPLACE THEM WITH MORE WEIGHTLIFTING EQUIPMENT!!

Worst gym ever! Staff behind the desk, talking to each other, was in the HIIT section , people come in to use 2-3 machines, right in front of me, they don’t move when I say I will be at this this machine in 2 minutes. You go complain at the front, they go talk to another member instead. They say they can’t always monitor, they donothing at the front! Members with no manners and staff don’t care. Bathroom counters always full of water, rarely clean. Paper machines always empty. This is ridiculous. I’m seriously considering canceling my membership.

If you go to planet fitness in the Ottawa area and love small gyms, I suggest going to this one. However if you were to visit the merivale location you feel like you are getting ripped off as it is literally ten times bigger with more equipment. I would label the Robertson location as a beginner gym and I feel like they should charge their clients only ten dollars a month at this gym as when you go to the merivale location you will see why. Other than that, the employees are very nice and friendly and always willing to give you a helping hand.

I moved to a different city and went to a location there to cancel my plan, they told me I can only cancel at the place I opened my plan so I called them explaining that I am 5 hours away and please to cancel my account but they said I have to come. Now after 3 months they refuse the cancel my month to month contract?? Unless I pay the balance I owe even though I didn't use their facilities since February and I tried cancelling! There is absolutely no one that cares about you over there and because of that I give it 1 star Horrible service

Super clean gym, they make sure that people face no problem, regarding sanitizers, disinfectants and paper towels everytime. Also, SHANE the man, he is super committed to his job ethics. I've seen people just scrolling down their social media, and watching movies, which is sometimes okay too, but this guy... you can always see him working, he makes sure to check every single thing that need attention. If somebody is working so hard even in the night shift, i wonder how he performs on the day time. A big thumbs up to this guy.

I really hate this god awful company and their cancellation policy. I have been trying to get rid of my membership because I have moved to another city where I have no access to planet fitness but they want me to send a registered mail to cancel my sub and by the time they recived it they have already charged me a $44 yearly sub fee which I will be contacting my bank for. I advise you to stay away from this scam location/company. I will make sure to let all my network/social media to stay away from them as well, enough is enough.

I have been a member for 3 months and no big complaints from me. My workout times are between 5 - 8 pm for about an hour and have not had any issues with equipment wait times ( I start on cardio machines then do the 30 minute workout). On a few occasions, a machine is held up on the 30 minute express by some members coming from the free weight or general machine section. That can be annoying, for us who follow the circuit route. For just over $10/month, you can't ask for much more. Great place...keep it up!

Worst management ever. The fan was off in the gym, I asked the staff to turn it on. They told me that they weren't given the access to turn it on, so I asked them to contact their manager. They contacted the Club manager 'Michelle Dudka', and she wouldn't allow the staffs the turn on the fan. It was very hot and there was not air circulation in the gym. It was very hard to work out. Most of the time they are out of paper towel, cleanliness is also an issue recently. Again, Very poor management.

I joined Planet Fitness online, before they even opened. I was so happy to have a facility like this open in Bells Corners, it was more than I anticipated. I love everything about it, there is enough equipment you never have to wait for anything. You can watch your favorite tv shows via headphones that connect to the cardio machines, the staff members are always happy,very helpful, and encouraging they make it feel like our home away from home. upgraded to the black card so i could use multiple locations since i can’t make it to the Brockville one as much since i’m working in Ottawa now. I went here once.. first and last time. The place is very small, gym is build so weirdly and the set up of everything is just not practical. Vibes were just overall not good, didn’t feel welcome and just felt overall very uncomfortable. Needless to say I went back to the basic membership and will only be attending Brockville.. soo much nicer there.

Good gym but the staff is probably not well informed/trained. I called to cancel my membership which someone helped me with and the call got disconnected while I was still talking. So, I called back and somebody else picked up the phone and when I mentioned that I am calling regarding the membership cancellation then I was told that I'll have to come in person. A bit disappointed with the fact that information coming from two individuals differ so much over the span of a minute.

Planet Fitness in Bells Corners, Nepean, is a great place for a gym-only workout. There is no pool, sauna, steam-room, or whirlpool. This is just a straight-up gym workout facility. The staff are very pleasant and professional. The equipment is always clean and in good working order. The change room facilities are also very clean. It is really nice to see people of all ages, from teens to seniors, enjoying their workouts. I highly recommend this place for a good workout!

Would never join again ! After 3 yrs of canceling my membership they decided to go into my account & take two annual fees. Yet I haven't step into this gym for 3 yrs , even have proof on documents but they refuse to return my money . As far as I'm concerned thats fraud , these big companies should be liable for taking money especially if you haven't been paying your monthly membership for 3 yrs . Don't give them access to your banking info see what happen to me .

Staff is inexperienced. There’s an older gentleman, grey haired and bearded, likes to get confrontational and instigate arguments with patrons. I’ve tried to cancel my membership with him and had to walk away he kept poking and instigating. I’m going back in the morning to cancel, it’s my third final attempt with planet fitness. I think it’s a matter of months before they close their doors, there was absolutely nobody there after new years, no rush customers.

Great clean Gym, 75+ pieces of cardiovascular equipment 3 Smith Machines, lots of benches clean showers, nice refreshing look and feel. 4 stair masters. Small group classes open 24/7 always at least 1 staffmember nice and friendly staff . Signed up my wife and I yesterday without regret. You get what you pay for does not apply here . It exceeded our expectations. Oh and the dumbells go to 75lbs which should be more than enough.

The fact that you can’t cancel your membership online or by phone in 2020 is downright predatory, especially considering the fact that they let you update your billing information online. Don’t support businesses that stay afloat by frustrating the consumer, GoodLife or LA Fitness might be a bit pricier but at least they actually seem invested in helping you achieve your goals, and not just hoping you pay and never show up.

I was under the impression my membership was $19.99 as it states on the website for black card services. Which still states $19.99 today. Apparently, as I didn't read all the fine print, my membership was actually $21.95 and the gentleman on the phone told me it changes by location. So I in fact signed for $21.95 plus tax however I was under the impression it was $19.99. So read the fine print. Otherwise the gym is nice.

Do not give these thieves your banking information. I cancelled my membership when they closed for the lock down and they continued to charge me for over a year. Stupid me for not checking my statement earlier. I asked for a refund and they denied me it even tho they admitted that I had never used my membership since then. Staff is extremely rude. Mostly young kids who suck at the one job the have, customer service.

It doesn't make you feel inferior to the people that work out continuously, it's more for people starting out and to motivate you to keep coming back to reach your goals. The staff are amazing and they take the time to show you everything and answer any questions. I love coming here and I look forward to going to the gym everyday. The hydro beds are amazing I leave feeling refreshed and ready to face anything.

Really amazing staff...always very friendly....clean facilities. One time I left my phone behind and realized about 5 minutes down the road. Robi-Ann recognized my face on my cover photo with my kids, looked me up and immediately e-mailed me to let me know she had safely stored it at the front desk with my name on it. They go above and beyond and all connect really well with the members.

Nice and clean all the time. Staff tend to mind their own business unless you engage them. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because they lack some basic equipment like kettle bells, and there is no real room to do warm ups but the tiny stretching area and I wish the free weight area was larger too. I think they could forgo some of the cardio equipment for these things for sure.

Spacious gym, friendly staff, a wide range of various equipment (3 squat/bench racks, TONS of treadmill/cardio machines, full dumbbell rack, etc) and multiple TVs. Unfortunately they do not offer a wide range of amenities compared to other gyms. Very cheap at only $10/month for a basic membership, and anyone can come in for a one time free trial. Free wifi in the gym!

Sooo this will be my 1st time EVER writing a complaint. When I signed up membership was 19.95 for black card membership, checked my account and they took 24.85! I called they said "oh the price was raised," I am like "shouldn't you let your customers know about this??? The guy goes "I wasn't here so I don't even know when the prices were raised! Seriously? I am done!

Fan are bad you can't sweat and hard to get warm, music too loud,change room very cold, No squat rack, no freeweight bench press, no dumbbell over 75lb. Members rest on equipment and text on their phone, and most members won't share equipment they think they own the gym for the ten dollars they pay and no rules to get them of the equipment while resting.

The planet fitness in Bells Corners has wonderful facilities. The bathrooms and the equipment are all clean and well organized. The atmosphere is great. Friendly staff and friendly people. I always get a good workout and manage to find people to have a good chat with at the same time. Highly recommend to anyone from beginner to gym rat or body builder.

The wifi rarely works and it is really hard to work out with no music! There are so many out of order cardio machines that never seem to get fixed! On the weekends the lids to the bottles (for cleaning) are rarely put on correctly, so the bottle part just falls off (with the cleaner going everywhere) when you pick them up to clean the machines.

1-Too crowded!! 2- too many cardio equipments taking up 75% of area… 3-only few smith bars ( no free bars) that too always occupied .. and pull up machine is broken and it’s been out of order for about 3 weeks now!! 4- had to wait long queue to get in on an equipment!! 5- most equipments here are useless and collecting dust! Changing gym now!!

Gym is ridiculous. They have a ton of cardio treadmills that has maybe 10% usage every time I go there, yet they have one cable crossover machine that is impossible to get on because everyone wants to use it. I've seen people sitting and waiting for it. Really dumb. Another instance of principles that fail for the simple lack of observing.

Good enough gym but the layout/ configuration is better at other planet fitness locations. Also only has 3 benches so not easy to get one when its the slightest bit busy. Benches don't have enough 45s and the dumbbell selection only goes up to 80lbs. Otherwise very clean and good quality machines. Convenient location and easily accessible

So far so good. Clean club with nicely maintained machines. Everything appeared to be in good working order too. Plenty of parking. Clean change rooms and showers, which is nice. Barbells top out at 60 I believe, before you need to move to the Smith machines. Plenty of cardio options though! Black membership gets you a few nice perks.

Nothing bad to say. Staff was super friendly, understanding, understanding and well spoken koodos to the folk named Andy, great job. Didn't have any problems finding machines and place is pretty clean and floors are matted so never worried to toss my phone on the floor. Just wish they had atleast 2 machines for each type of workout.

Keeping in mind this is a budget friendly gym. It still has access to a spa including hydro massage and tanning beds and depending on location a meditation room. This all comes with the black card and u can take a friend along anytime. It’s pretty spacious and never overrun but definitely could add a free standing squat rack.

Looks like a great facility for fitness oriented, machine assisted workouts. Lots of equipment in excellent. Clean facility and amicable staff. Only negatives was a cramped locker room with not enough lockers and, as expected, no barbells or power racks as it seems a thing with this chain. Prices are difficult to beat!

I'm really happy this location exists for times that I'm in the west end (though I desperately wish there was a location in the east of Ottawa). It's good that they have a coach for members. My wife however doesn't want to come here and wait for me because she says it smells more sweaty than the Merivale location.

This is not my primary club, but I am in the area every now and then for training. This location is nice and well kept. The Steve and the rest of the crew are really nice and helpful. In fact, one of my guests was so impressed with the place that he signed up for a membership. Keep up the amazing job and service.

Great Staff and Great reasonable prices. One of the best and cheapest gym in ottawa. Also they provide you with a trainer who you can talk to and he will help you to decide right equipment to use for what you want to work on. If you're planning to start working out then this is definitely the right place for you.

Great place, great prices. Very clean. This is not for your typical meat head lifter... this place is for avg people looking to excercise and improve their health. The only knock on the place is between 3pm and 9pm... all the young 20 year olds go in and they think the own the place... no proper gym etiquette...

You can't beat the price for what you get. Equipment is always clean and organized, staff is friendly, and locker rooms are also clean. The only issue is the shower only has cold water, I try to shower at home instead. Good assortment of equipment and never too busy to use the equipment that's there.

Great Price! Not being overcharged to work out is awesome! The gym is clean, uses modern technology, and has a fun atmosphere, I love the 30 minute work out area, however I cant seem to find a rowing machine anywhere, maybe I am missing it somehow? Other than that, great place! recommend to everyone!

They told me they put my account on hold for covid. Got charged at the beginning of September. Will probably go back when everything blows over but seems shady in practice. Had to cancel membership as I wasn't going to deal that any of that. All staff are really really friendly though!

Great Atmosphere! You are welcomed by a smiling face when you walk in and staff are always there to help. Kelly made my day and let me try out the facility and I signed up before I left. Hydro-massage beds are amazing after a workout. I actually enjoy going to the gym at this place!

Its a no nonsese gym...atleast for beginners like me...all the equipment is good and maintained. I wish they had multiples of a few popular machines coz if you go in rush hour the waiting times could be long. But all in all...a clean and efficient place with knowledgeable staff.

Superb club. Great staff, clean, lots of machines. My only complaint is no standing calf raise machine while they have 4 machines for adductor squats. I see no need for that. In any case that's a minor complaint and this is a stellar gym especially for the price.

Just joined and today was my 1st visit. Staff were helpful getting me checked in and onto a treadmill. The place is clean and there are lots of cleaning stations with supplies. I went around 1:30 pm and it was not busy at all. Good first impression.

Most quiet in the morning before 6:30 otherwise open 24/7 so it's great to go any time Update 17/10/23 - they've updated the layout and equipment at the gym. Even more ways to lift weights and do cardio. The extra stair climbers are very welcome

Good beginner friendly gym. $15/month and no sign up fee. Clean. Can't really complain about much. Unfortunately there are no squat rack or bench press setups. Three smith machines are provided but are almost always busy.
