The greeting and welcome was lovely. Steve is an asset to Premier Inn. If I was writing the review based on Steve's manner alone it would be 5 stars. I arrived into my room and it was lovely, clean and tidy. I could hear music in my room, I assumed it was someone else in the hotel. So I went downstairs and asked if it would be possible to have my room changed. Another member of staff came upstairs to listen to the music. She told me the hotel was fully booked so they couldn't move me. She said 'Wherever I put you there will be someone next door to you'. I said I of course didn't mind having someone next to me and hear them moving around, but listening to someone else's music wasn't something I wanted to do. It turned out it was music from the restaurant and she did then turn it off, which I really appreciated. I settled down to go to sleep and there was more music. This time it was from the room next door. This was again, turned off after asking. Then in the middle of the night there was what sounded like a gathering outside my door. This was on and off until the early hours of the morning. I didn't want to go downstairs past the gathering, in my pyjamas, to speak with the night staff about it as I did not know if it was safe for me to do so. There was no phone in the room to call down to reception so I just waited it out. My sleep was terrible. The reason I stay in Premier Inns is because they have the good night guarantee. I spoke with the reception team in the morning. The person working gave me the customer services number and said 'you never know they might be able to refund you.' As my management had made the booking, I passed this number onto them. My management spent over 30 minutes on the phone attempting to get the refund. The first person he spoke with said that as I, a woman on my own, had chosen not to leave my room in the middle of the night in my pyjamas, walk past a group of people in the corridor outside my room, go downstairs to the night staff and ask them to sort it, go back upstairs past the group of people again, to then have the night staff explain to the people that there had been a complaint about the noise, that I wasn't eligible for a refund. My management said that this was an unreasonable request, and that the damage had already been done, because if you were needing to complain about noise in the middle of the night in the first place, then you obviously already weren't getting a good night's sleep. He also said that I did not feel safe walking around in the hotel in the middle of the night. The person my management spoke with then said that I should have called Premier Inn's mainstream number in the middle of the night (which is a premium rate number) and waited on hold until I was transferred to the reception team at my hotel. My management asked to speak with her manager. She said she would see if there was someone that could help. She then hung up on him. My management then called back and had to go through the whole process again. Premier Inn state 'if you don't get a good night's sleep you get your money back' and 'if there is a problem, speak with the friendly reception team about it, if you don't get a chance, speak with them in the morning.' But it isn't as simple as that. The process for getting a refund is incredibly difficult. I understand why they need to have certain policies in place to prevent people from exploiting the system, however the process for getting the refund does not match what it says on the website. I have also been staying in Premier Inn's for over 5 years regularly for work and I have never claimed the good night guarantee. It also appears that Premier Inn expect a woman on her own to walk around the hotel in the middle of the night into unknown situations that might not be safe for them. Overall it was beyond disappointing and a waste of our time.

Stayed here for 2night Friday to Sunday. Check in was fine and easy. Met the lovely Nikki in the evening she is so bubble and soo friendly nothing was too much for her. A great member of staff. I had booked a twin room which comprised of a double bed and small single. Would have been better to have 2 singles. The double bed mattress seemed to have a dip in it possible due to a memory foam toppers which didn't give the best night sleep and the pillows were terrible I had to ask for a firmer one. There weren't meant to be spare in the room but wasn't. The toilet paper reminds you of being in a public restroom because its not a roll but pull a sheet kind of thing. We decided to have the breakfast on the Sunday morning what a mistake that was the staff were slow and a smile wouldn't hurt but I soon realised that the colour of my skin might have been the reason why the service terrible because some other guests arrived and were greeted totally differently and were served different to me and my friend. Ordered a hot breakfast with toast. The toast came no cutlery or the drink I had ordered the lady serving was no where to be seen finally got my drink and the cutlery. The juices are served in tiny glasses and was impossible to get a refill due to the staff vanishing. I wouldn't get breakfast from here. It isdown as all you can eat but it more we will serve you once and vanish. Would be better to go try out some locals cafes or go find a Macdonals

AVOID ROOM 209 possibly room 211 too. We were directly above the hotel automatic doors and it sounds like someone is teleporting into the room every time they open. I didn't get to sleep until after midnight and have been awake since 4.20am when the doors started opening regularly again. The explanation at reception, "yeah, every time someone puts their card in the door they automatically open." Isn't that what they're supposed to do No offer of a refund or to comp a second night in a different room so we have checked out and will stay somewhere else. We were offered a free breakfast but we had just eaten next door at the Toby Carvery buffet breakfast, which by the way, was delicious and £4.01 cheaper than the premier inn breakfast. New policy is clearly "next to no sleep? We dont care!" The guy on reception last night when we arrived was very pleasant and if he hated his job, you would never know! The 3 stars for service are for him, otherwise it would be zero.

Very easy to get to. Next door to a Toby carvery. Checking in was easy,we were asked if we would like breakfast ,traditional or continental offered 2 keys . We had asked for a ground floor due to disability. The room was warm and the 3rd bed set up . The shower was quite large. I was very surprised. The bed was comfy, extra pillows were available. It would have been nice if there was a blanket available (I'm sur I could have gone to reception) it's fairly cold after coming up from London Breakfast was at 9.30 There were 5 of us but not many tables large enough so we had to put 2 tables together. There was a full range of beverages available plus continental, the waitress came over after confirming us having traditional breakfast, took our order. We checked out at 11.45,the receptionist was lovely and asked if we had enjoyed our stay etc,she actually cared, even asked why we were up there much to my daughters pleasure. Overall I would give 10/10

The Staff at this Premier Inn are the friendliest people I have ever met working in a hotel. Receptionist got us into our room even though we arrived early, we were staying to attend a family funeral, she was very sympathetic. Breakfast the next morning was attended by the sweetest lady, nothing was a bother to her, food served quickly even though it was pretty busy. Rooms were clean, bed comfy, I could hear snoring from next door which was a bit annoying but I guess I have sensitive hearing as no-one else could hear it. Good location for our requirements. Sad I didn't get staff names to give them a proper shout out! This is the second time we stayed here for its convenient location.

Really nice, comfortable, clean hotel with a Toby carvery and free parking on site. What more could you want! I slept like a dream and felt very rested in the morning and the breakfast is amazing and that is very rare at hotels as most don't have a clue how to cook a full English but premier Inn certainly do. The guy at the reception was really friendly, welcoming and made sure we were OK and had no issues even if he did talk at 1000 miles per hour which was a bit much but he still gets a thumbs up for taking care of us, maybe just slow it down a little for us southerners struggling with the accent haha

I'm writing this review on behalf of family that stayed at the Premier Inn Hall Green for several days whilst their house was being renovated recently. All the Hotel staff were brilliant, really helping to reduce the stress associated with the situation. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone went out of their way to help us with everything. Special thanks to Steve, Diane, Sarah, Jason, Lorraine, Julie and Milly you are all fantastic. Rob and Jill

We booked a room at short notice for 1 night, we then booked another night and a third. Friendly & and helpful staff and very clean premises. Our room was comfortable, light and airy. We only had one small issue with the bed, both my partner and I are disabled so we booked an accessible room which have lower beds and are essentially 2 beds fixed together. The retaining clip at the head end wasn't fixed properly and the foot end clip was missing, it was soon sorted with some huffing and puffing, team work and a hair bobble! A very enjoyable stay nonetheless

  • Phil Whitcombe

A great place to spend a night before moving on, in our case to the airport. Very clean and comfortable room. You can have breakfast here or next door in the Toby carvery. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is free onsite parking. There are no lifts but the building is only 2 stories. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. The room lighting is quite dim using old fluorescent lamps that take ages to warm up.

Exactly what you expect from a Premier Inn. This was up to the usual standards of the chain. This is appreciated when you use hotels a lot - it's comforting to know what to expect. A special mention on this occasion for Steve on Reception. I'd had an issue (unrelated to the hotel) that could easily have cost me £100. Steve offered sage advice and a solution that eased my worries considerably. Gold Star for Steve

Terrible. Premier Inn. Bed was awful and not up to usual standards, lumpy and soft sank in the middle. Only 1 pillow each. Bed was not king sized. Electrics cover hanging off wall and shower was a fixed head shower. So couldn't shower unless you wanted to get wet hair...which I did not. No bath. Finish I bath room was disgusting meaning lots if breeding germs areas. Room was tiny. Breakfast was good though. But other than that it was a really poor show from a usually good company. Won't stay here again.

  • Penny Limer

Staff could not have been more welcoming or kind with a special shout out to Steve who welcomed us. A man definitely suited to his job. The breakfast staff were also brilliant. They even went so far as to offer my friend and I adjoining rooms and unlock the interconnecting door. The rooms were very clean, the showers were powerful. the bed was very comfy. Will certainly stay there again for any events I go to in Birmingham

We had a 2 night stay and really enjoyed it. The decor in the place was in need of a update, same in the rooms, looking a bit dated, hence the low score plus no shaving point. USB connection did work. Shower base became very slippy one the soap got on it. The breakfast was great, cooked to order, there was plenty. Staff great. Could do with more disabled parking bays as 3 ain't enough. Tried to book for October nothing available

First the pluses, the rooms very very clean, the TV was huge, the breakfast was cooked to order, the shower was piping hot. The negatives, there is a noise late at night and early in the morning which sounds like an external lift, I think it may be something connected to the resteraunt.its loud and keeps you awake, I love the walk in shower but the curtain is short and the water goes all over the floor. Apart from that external noise everything else was fine in room 209

  • Wain Beadsworth

Clean. Bit disappointed that the Toby was getting revamped but comfy bed decent size room. Steve on reception is belta helped recommend food local loads 5 mins up the road and nothing seemed to be a Botha for him as long as you he made you feel1 welcome we need more Steve's in Premier inns had a belta nights kip after graft can't complain. Good experience all round . I'd stop here again

Haven't even slept here for my first night, but Steve on the front desk is absolutely incredible! Super happy from the start, explained everything to me and seemed really happy to be in his job, a proper asset. The bathroom is a little dated and the shower leaks onto the floor, but the rooms are clean and comfy.

I stay at hotel regularly but my customer service experience at this branch on 8th of July was the worst I've experienced.the member of staff from Eastern Europe was so miserable and didn't even say hi when I checked in.they didn't even smile either and they clearly couldn't be bothered at all.seriously, this branch should not hire people if they can't even get the basics right.

Slightly dated but comfortable and all I needed. The staff were amazing, from the warm welcome at reception ( possibly called Steve?) to the lovely server at breakfast called Diane who was so friendly, efficient and served a lovely breakfast from the chef, who I didn't meet but her name was Tracey I believe. thanks to the staff I would stay again.

Staffs are well disciplined and also very courteous to customer. Morning breakfast service is wonderful , both on the food and the lady who services the customers. Room housekeeping is good. Room interior design is not great. I stayed at room in 1st floor where the window was not facing the room. It was sideways. No clock in the room. TV not exactly opposite to the bed. Overall it was ok , but lot of room for improvement.

We arrived on 23rd Aug 22 at around 10pm we were greeted by Josh in reception. He was very helpful and polite. The room was very clean. The only thing that was wrong is that the shower head in our room was leaking we informed reception and they came to sort it while we were having breakfast. our overall stay was very good. We enjoyed our stay.

Staff friendly and helpful given the Covid lockdown. The free WiFi was utterly pointless. Premier should remember that everyone with a smartphone will have a much faster connection than they provide on WiFi. TV just as awful as you would expect. Room should have been heated ready for the guests to take occupancy. It's very unwelcoming to walk into a cold room in winter and wait 2 hours until it's comfortable.

  • NoelB77

Normally this is a good little place and cheap to use as a base with cheap food at a Toby next door. Better food is to be had near the town centre's which are a 10m drive away. Marked down the hotel this time due to a drunk woman got in screaming for her boyfriend and trying all the doors at 3:40 am Sunday morning. Not hotels fault but that someone that drunk can get in and around the hotel in her state is.

Poor soundproofing with loud guests in neighbouring rooms. Poor maintainance, toilets and showers were backed up for 2/4 days. Expensive but fresh cooked breakfasts and friendly, helpful staff. Dodgy goings on in the adjoining parking lots shared with the Toby Carvery next door, did not feel safe leaving our vehicle too far from the building, with people sat "smoking" in cars late at night.

Good situation right on a roundabout but you don't hear road noise . Staff VERY friendly and rooms a good standard . Well worth a stay at this inn . One of the best I've stayed in so far . **** Dont book your breakfasts at the inn as its half the price at the carvery pub next door and it's an all you can eat breakfast for about £4 . It opens at 8am every morning .

Lovely and quiet hotel to stay at. Clean and comfortable room. If you're booking on the day they do charge a premium price Vs booking online in advance. However always book online even if you're in the hotel lobby, the in hotel price Vs online is also an added premium of around £15 or so. Why pay extra for no added benefit...

Ample parking available, room is the quality you expect from Premier inn. Bathroom has shower only but expected as very small. The only let down for me was the poor 'Ultimate Wi-Fi', don't waste money on it and use the free option.

  • Ian Avery

Tired looking bathroom and bedroom, really needs a refurb. Wifi very erratic and slow. Toby carvery next door. Quite a few takeaways and shops nearby but you have to cross a lot of busy roads to get to them. Car park gets busy.

The lady who was on shift last night was amazing. Super helpful. Pretty standard small converted premier inn. Would be good for this site to get an iron so I can at least make it look like I’ve tried to iron my shirt

We stay here fairly often when visiting relatives. This was the lowest price we have paid. For that reason 4 out of 5. The room was showing signs of wear nothing that a lick of paint won't cure. Breakfast as fine as usual.

  • Brendan Chambers

Staff very friendly. The breakfast was a bit expensive seen as there is a pub serving breakfast beside it £s cheaper

Great service, friendly staff and fantastic accomodation. Rooms were clean, and beds were well-made and comfortable. Breakfast was quite delicious with a wide range of foods to choose from. Very pleased with my stay here.

  • James Halton

Extremely friendly staff. Breakfast was much better than other Premier Inns. Only downside smell of tobacco in room.

Booked 3 rooms, forgot to mention that we required a ground floor twin room for my elderly mother. Checked in, mentioned to the gentlemen on reception sorted us one straight away. All the staff very helpful & polite.

Excellent service. All the staff were amazing. Can’t remember there names. Steve checked us all in and was very friendly and polite. They was always there if you needed them. Will definitely be stopping here again xx

We had a large family room and it was clean, warm and bed was extremely large and comfortable. No Aircon noise so top notch experience for us! Staff very helpful and friendly both on desk and at breakfast. Thanks!

  • Vicky Schofield

Staff were super friendly and helpful except cleaners who were very noisy in the early morning. Usual premier inn standard which I've never had any issues with.

We have stayed here many times over the years while visiting family in Moseley. The regular staff are great and the accommodation is very acceptable. We enjoy visiting and feel most welcome. Eric & Margaret Brown

The room was just as we expected of a Premier inn hotel. Helpful reception staff. Sadly the nearby pub is currently closed on Monday and Tuesdays. This is out of Premier inn control but could affect some guests.

  • Simon Yates

Usual PI clean & tidy. This PI gets a star for the chap on the reception Steve, whatever they're paying him give him some more just what you need friendly, helpful, informative. Should be the face of PI

I want to give a 5 gold stars to Steve who was on night duty at the Premier Inn Hall Green tonight, for being very helpful and doing all he could to help me. Great customer service, thank you so much!

  • Neil Borton

Comfortable and clean rooms. Girls were brilliant with my breakfast requirements in the morning. Cooked the way I like it. And water doesn't look like this in your kettle where I come from...! …

Free parking, spacious rooms and right next to a Toby Carvery so evening meals are easily accessible. Well placed for travelling into the city centre too.

A typical Premier Inn. You know what you are going to get. Pub next door but not used by hotel for breakfasts as many Premier Inns do. More

  • Philip Whateley
