Stayed for 1 night with my teenage daughter while visiting Leeds Uni. About 4 miles out of the city, which took us about 20 minutes. Quiet location and so much cheaper than city centre. Large free car park too. Lovely friendly staff. Lovely chap with a beard, sorry I didn't catch his name. He was in the restaurant in the evening and then served us our breakfast in the morning. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and this was ok, not great. We had a steak and salad and although the steak was cooked beautifully, the salad was a little limp around the edges, especially the slices of avocado. Breakfast was great. We went down around 8.30am and it was relatively quiet. Good selection of continental, coffee/tea and toast etc. Hot food was well cooked and very tasty. We stayed in a room on the upper floor. Nice and quiet, although the corridor floorboards do creak a bit . Bedroom was clean and just what you'd expect from a premier inn, but this too was again, a little rough around the edges. Only one of the bedside USB chargers worked, the other side was snapped off inside. My daughter had to charge her phone at the desk. The air conditioning didn't seem to work either and we found it a little warm overnight, even with the window open, although there was a desk fan in the room. Part of the bannister finials missing in the stairwell and this is being held together with hazard tape. I stay in premier inns every time I go away in Britain and although I enjoyed my stay, it's not quite up to their usual standard.

Obviously it's a premier in which is a budget hotel so the 5 stars is bearing that in mind which is fair enough. The hotel met all our expectations and we had a lovely overnight stay on the way to a wedding. The main expectations that we find important were met. The room was wonderfully clean and well furnished. The staff were lovely and polite. The breakfasts were the standard offer of premier inns but everything was to a high standard with cooked breakfasts cooked to order. The noise was minimal, which isn't always a problem that a hotel can control if there is a large party. However in this case the walls and doors are well sound proofed. I've stayed at hotels like this where the doors are old and thin, these aren't. It was quite hot when we started but a fan for the room was supplied and the window opened adequately to allow it to be cool enough. An alternative sheet was provided for the bed, if we wanted, to allow for the warm weather. Therefore everything was done to help with the heat and that allowed us to have a decent a night's sleep. There are no real views to speak of at this hotel but that isn't their fault and more importantly what you do see when you look out is clean. We had an evening meal and it was standard Brewer's Fare but cooked nicely. I would certainly stay here again, for the price it was an excellent experience. There is a slight point of historic interest on that the chimney of the old brick factory which existed on the site before the hotel still exists. If history of brick factories or chimneys is not your thing it does serve as a good landmark when you are looking for the place!

Awful Service and Grubby Room Room needed a good coat of paint and the bed was uncomfy. Once up (having not slept), I made my way to their restaurant for an early breakfast - I always have a 'meal-deal' - and waited for staff to arrive ... anyone . Eventually, after waiting around like a fool in an empty restaurant, a member of staff entered and promptly served someone who had just arrived - after having seen me enter the restaurant at least 5 mins before this other person. I had intended an early start and was pushed for time - so this remiss of good service, plus ignorance, made me angry - a simple, basic courtesy with customer care isn't difficult and it costs nothing. I told the woman to 'keep her breakfast' - and left. Thank you Premier Inn for spoiling my day and treating me like dirt. I usually spend many nights away throughout the year and always used Premier Inn. Today, Premier Inn lost a very regular customer. Never again.

Hotel is tired and we experienced a bad start as the room was dirty with urine stains on the toilet and make up stains on pillowcases. To the credit of the staff they were helpfull and apologetic, and sorted out the problems, moved our room to which there was an immediate difference, we have been in various premier Inns all over, and this one is very tired, could do with updating, furniture in the rooms is old and tired, new curtains as they are faded and marked. Carpets are flat and look dirty in places guess well worn. The staff are excellent, they are helpfull and pleasant, and try to make things the best they can for you.

Staying with my 2 young children as we were attending a family wedding. Leaving reception after checking in there was a strong smell of weed all the way down the corridor to our room. Then the level of noise from banging and shouting in the rooms and up and down the corridors until the early hours kept us all awake. At 2am the people in the room above us started banging and slamming doors and throwing things around the room having a fight, we could hear the swearing and threatening each other. Reported to reception but this went on till 4am at which point my youngest cried until morning that he wanted to go home. Not all Premier Inn's fault but definitely not somewhere I would stay if I wanted any sleep again.

Where do i start, the best customer service i have ever had anywhere. The staff were brilliant nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant was brilliant and the breakfast very very recommended!. The lady that greeted us Lauren i think was her name sorted us a room out after i had made the booking wrong. Personally setting a bed up to made another room a twin room. I cant recommend staying here enough the location is great and felt safe leaving the car in carpark. Next time we are that way without a doubt we will be back there. Well done Premier Inn and well done all the staff at this venue!

We have had accommodation only for one night. Rooms were clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price for accommodation was acceptable with breakfast included in the restaurant, which is part of the hotel. Plenty parking available at the site of the hotel. Overall, I am very satisfied.

We used to stay in this hotel regularly and came back after almost 5years spent away from the area. It was nice to see some of the familiar faces still working here and gave the same warm welcome and have a same caring attitude. The never staff were just as welcoming and nice and nothing was trouble for them. We stayed in one of the newer rooms and although the corridor was very cold, the room itself heated up quickly. We loved the comfy bed and the little details like the inbuilt light in the mirror, the bible on the shelf or the complimentary hot chocolate. Thank you for making our long weekend wonderful

  • Daryl Thornton

We go away and stay in hotels nearly every weekend and this by far has to be the best hotel this year.. Very friendly and helpful staff, the room was to a very high standard and made the perfect romantic setting.. the only downside is please get bigger baths and maybe a jacuzzi lol The Brewers Fayre next door was the same, friendly staff and even though it was a limited menu due to the covid situation the food was great. Good price on the hotel and in the bar. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place. Thank you for a great weekend.

I cannot believe how unsympathetic Premier Inn booking line is . I stayed at this hotel the night previous on a one night stay . I rebooked a cancellation the following day but later on the Saturday afternoon I had a telephone call to say that my elderly parent had been rushed to hospital and is on end of life . Premier Inn managers showed no compassion and refuse to give me my money back . I would not book to ever stay in their chain again even if they are reasonably priced and a perfect location .

My partner and I have stayed at this Premier Inn on many occasions. The receptionist Karen Lunn always greets us warmly and has made this premier inn our preferred choice, even when others Inns have been closer to where we have been working. We have always found all the Staff kind and nothing is too much trouble. My partner was taken poorly on one of our visits and the Staff went over and above what was expected of them, especially Karen. Great place to stay......hopefully we'll be back soon!

  • Munish Kharbanda

Good rooms, comfortable, nice and clean. Service was quick when we arrived and when we checked out the lady asked every customer how their stay was... which was nice. Good location just off the motorway. £15 taxi into Leeds and same again back. Much cheaper overall than staying and in town this particular trip, and of course free and convenient parking!

This Premier Inn is ideal for visiting my home town which we do regularly! The staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful, it feels ironically like a home from home! They know which rooms we like, that I always ask for an extra pillow and Ken the night porter is always up for a giggle! The rooms are always clean, tidy and comfortable and the staff warm and welcoming. This is a gem in the Premier Inn portfolio and we highly recommend a stay here!

  • Beverley Holmes

Very helpful, welcoming, friendly staff. We arrived early to ask if we could check in early & offload our luggage into our room etc as we had an event to attend starting at 2pm & online check in had not been available due to Covid arrangements. The answer basically was 'no', but very nicely put, the reason well explained, & totally accepted. The room, when accessed, we found clean & tidy as expected.

  • James Pickering (Nesual)

Staff are very friendly and extremely kind and helpful, so much so I will be sending them a personal letter shortly thanking them for helping myself and my mother. Rooms are very clean. Easily accessible via car as it is just off of some of the main roads in the area.

One of the best Premier Inns I have stayed at the rooms were nice and tidy and very well presented. There was plenty of space for charging your phone. The beds were very comfortable. The room temperature was a bit cold too start of with but by changing it on the designated dial it soon warned up. And the bath was very good even provided soap in case you got got to pack some haha.

  • Hudsons Technical Consultancy Ltd

Took me 3 attempts to find this place as the very inadequate signs are hidden in the trees and are not illuminated So i pulled into a pub car park ( lit up like a xmas tree) where Google had determined location and saw a small purple sign for reception Woo it's hidden behind I would have given 3 stars but the £10 breakfast was 5/10 and there's no cleaning brush for the toilet

  • B

I cannot praise this inn enough. The staff are so lovely and very polite, as well as welcoming. This is my favourite place to stay here and I come back time and again. The pub grub is fab and the breakfast is fabulous. Rooms are good prefer the original ines to the new ones in the extension. Yes they extended because they are popular. Parking is fab to. Can't say enough.

  • J Hart

Very poorly run. Dirty rooms, bins full on arrival, bedding not changed, rubbish under bed, toilet grubby and toilet floor dirty. Very very hot 26° the coolest the room could get with windows open. Lovely reception staff.Dont bother even for the price there is a village hotel down the road. Very serious life threatening safety issues brushed of and delt with very poorly.

  • sl00z

The rooms had leak marks all over the ceiling, the curtains had what looked like poo marks straight away. It was very dirty and they put a fan instead of AC. The lack of charging points was also disappointing!

Stayed here twice now. Clean rooms, nice and quiet with comfortable beds. Ground floor rooms seem to be better than the first floor ones for some reason. Big car park with plenty of room for large vans. Brewers fayre attached has a good menu choice and breakfast usual decent premier Inn standard. Staff also very helpful and friendly. Would happily stay here again.

  • Jason Fox

Room was as expected, bed was comfy. Some of my associates had to wait for towels and linen on check-in. The restaurant food quality was not up very good. Was served raw potatoes one evening and availability of certain items off the menu was also disappointing.

Beware of thieves!!!! a month ago, a member of the staff in premier inn stole my money from the room! No cctv in the hallways, everyone using staff card can easily enter to your room. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Still not regained my money, despite assurances from the premier inn. Worst hotel network in which I was, no respect for their guests, liars and THIEVES!

  • Caroline Hall

We had a great stay at the Premier Inn Leeds South Birstall. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was very powerful which was great. The floorboards above were a bit creaky which we could hear quite a bit but other than that it was a great stay. The breakfast was superb as was the service from all hotel and breakfast staff.

  • Nigel V Farthing

I have been here many times and the location suits me well. It is situated close to the M62 which makes it ideal for my purposes for travelling. The accommodation is passable but very basic and goes not contain those items in find most useful, I. E. A fixed electric razor point. The beds are comfortable and the staff helpful and pleasant.

Stayed here for two nights, unfortunately during a summer heatwave, far two hot and stuffy in the rooms as the rooms do not have air-con, this is mentioned on the booking site. It might not have been so bad but the only window that did open was very small and was restricted. Other than that the Premier was fine.

  • Stewart Marshall

It was ok but I think the bed in room 3 had seen better days the shower soap dispenser was empty, the toilet paper required a refill USB sockets that didn't work and a ripped lampshade. I could hear people clomping about upstairs Loved the blackout curtains.

The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The in-house hot breakfast was mediocre. Some slightly lacking amenities from what I'm used to - not enough bath towels to not have to share (not that we bothered to ask for a second), no clock in the room. Average hallway volume for the price.

You know what your getting with Premier Inn, stayed here for work, friendly staff and clean rooms. The room I was in the bed wasn’t as comfortable as they usually are. Easy to find and in a fairly quiet location as set back far enough from the main road.

  • Russell Cross

As you would expect with a premier Inn. Clean, comfortable, easy to get to. Only thing is as with a lot of premier inns, I wish they would put a normal plug near the bed and not one of those usb ports! Very annoying if you don't have a usb ended charger.

Good service from friendly front desk staff during a very brief overnight stay. Room itself was fine, recommend to request a room on the first floor if you can. The noise from people walking around above is pretty bad if you are on the ground floor.

Once again the staff at Premier Inn and Brewers Fayre went over and above to make the stay fell like a home from home experience. The hotel rooms are always to top but the staff going that extra mile just gives the while experience that extra shine.
