If these walls could talk, I'd have no idea what they'd say but I enjoyed it here, historic pub, with older floors and a pewter bar, nautical themed throughout, great terrace over looking the Thames. Local feel and often show sports. Worth a trip out the way to visit.

We visited early evening in mid-November 2023. This is a pub I really wanted to visit (we were over from Canada, although I had lived in London for years), and we were not disappointed. It's about as traditional a pub as you could want. It

Wow, what history this place has seen and goes back to the 16th century. The rooms are amazing and the hangman's noose is a nice touch. Had the best steak and ale pie in a very long time, this place is a must visit. More

The oldest Riverside pub in London dated back to 1520 when it was known as The Pelican, and later, The Devils Tavern. In the 18th century, the pub changed its name for the last time to The Prospect of Whitby.
