Pudsey park isn't as good as it use to be, there's no ice cream shop anymore, the older youths that congregate in the skate park are a total pain and spoil it for all the younger kids, there language is attrocious too. The park itself is rather dated compared to manningham park. It's always mega busy in the school holidays, the green house is in urgent need of tlc and in the pet house (when its open that is) is full of empty and blacked out tanks. The best bit is watching the bowlers play bowls on the bowling green in the summer and on occasions there are talented musicians that play in the band stand and it really is a must see! Far too many dogs not on leads and like a fellow reviewer said far too much dog mess just left on path ways. The benches could also do with a spruce of paint and a tidy. Would recommend going to otley park, manningham park or saltaire park instead alot better for the kiddies, far more facilities and toilets in walking distance! Definitely more enjoyable for a family day out

Today we went to play in the brand new play ground . The children were 2,4, and 7 years. They loved it and tested all the play equipment out fully ! It's been a long wait for the park to be finished but it's fantastic. With equipment suitable for all ages. The range of swings is a great idea! Afterwards we had a walk around the gardens, played in the band stand, explored the different areas and looked at the beautiful crafted crocheted Halloween things .
Playground
The new playground is fantastic
Restrooms
No toilets
Dog-friendliness
Plenty of space to walk dogs, and clearly marked dog bins
Picnic area
Lots of benches and a few picnic tables

Love going to pudsey park, its lovely to walk around, and a lovely place to take the children, there's plenty for them to do and I a cheap way to keep them entertained. The work at the back of the park is lovely and sitting there with a coffee, is so relaxing. It a shame the animal and fish cabin has closed, it used to be my son's favourite place to d go on the school holidays, although he's 22 now do I don't think he'll be wanting me to take him anymore. But it always bring back a lot of memories when I go in the park now, I sit in the lovely park by the banddtand, I n my mobility scooter with a coffee and remember all the good times.

Fabulous park, clean, tidy and a lovely place to walk your dog. My dog just loved it there sniffing and running about. Lovely benches to sit on and contemplate life. There is a children's park at one of the entrances, very good for the kids. Mum and dad can sit on benches there also. In summer there is an ice-cream hut open with various things to chomp on and drink. There is also a tropical garden there and another thing for everyone but I forgotten what it was but it was interesting. A lovely park for people and dogs.

A decent little walk in autum/winter if you want to avoid the mud in other locations. It's a shame that the visitor centre and plant centre has not reopened since covid though. The vusitor centre is an eyesore and both are a waste of space these days. They were lovely when they were open to the public years ago. I hope the council has plans to find the resources to get it back to how it used to be. There's still a picnic area, playground and dog friendly. However, there does not appear to be any restrooms.

I used to love this park and went regularly with my children. It's still very pretty and peaceful but the playground has been dug up and the wildlife visitor centre and greenhouse have been permanently closed. These were three features that made the park a good few hours out with the kids. Now there is very little for children to do except look at the flowers and play hide and seek. And to be honest, they can probably do that anywhere. What was unique about this park is gone. Such a shame!

Great place for walking dogs an having a nice stroll through in all weathers, looking at the change in trees an flower beds, there's 2 parks 1 for the little kids and 1 for the big kids, and plenty of seating for those that want to sit and take a load off, also there's a small wildlife area bit with a educational activities area for the younger ones that get board of walking or playing in the park! So yeah plenty to see and do for all ages.

It was the first time I have visited pudsey park and I'm amazed at why I haven't been before. It's got such beautiful grounds and theres plenty to keep the little ones entertained. On our visit we enjoyed seeing the animals at the visitors centre and burnt off some energy on the park and skate park. There are no parking however if your lucky you can park in the side streets but on busy days can see this being a bit of an issue.

Pudsey park is a popular place for dog walkers and people wishing to relax in fine weather. It's quite a peaceful place with flowerbeds, grassed areas, benches and a segregated bowling green. The children's park is sadly neglected by the council and both this and the botanical garden (that never seems to be open) plus the visitors center, that did contain some creatures and tropical fish, are earmarked for permanent closure.

  • Sian Campion

The newly refurbished park is excellent and my autistic grand daughter totally loves it. However, I worry that soon she will be too big for the bucket type swings and she is not coordinated enough to use the simple seat type swings independently. It would be great if 1 or 2 the swings could be changed to a more accessible swing seat type making the park even more inclusive for older children with developmental differences.

  • Claire Legg

Lovely park with lots to do. The park itself is suitable for both younger and older kids as they have different equipment to suit both abilities. There's plenty of picnics areas to use in the summer and lots of land for the kids to play football etc. There's also an added little bonus of the animals to visit. This usually includes fish, rabbits, mice, birds and other small animals. There is also toilet facilities in here.

  • Chris McCau

Holland .clean quite .open weekends lovely scenery be careful how you cross the streets and bicyclespaths as there's many many bicycles here the bicycle seemed to have right of way the pedestrians have to stay on the right side of the path very friendly service most people from Holland speak English beautiful place for a holiday and I'd recommend everybody to come here..

  • Ian Hudson

Fantastic park next door to the bus station and Gregg's. Outdoor children's play area. Indoors local wildlife centre with rodents, birds, fish and children's learning room. Learning room contains wildlife video and drawing and colouring. Wildlife centre has a public disabled / baby change / toilet. Ice cream van parks near the picnic tables during the summer months.

  • Pat Moore

Hi its a really nice little park there are swings and slides etc in a confined area. There are lots of picnic tables. And there is also a place for skateboarding. There is a visitor centre with animals and a separate area for educational purposes. Toilets are available with baby changing facilities. Shops are close by with hotel local markets on through the week.

  • Donna Mountford

So the park is so run down now , although there is plans to have the play park re done now starting May , there is no cafe , no toilets and all the animal center has been closed , we have used this park for years and its a shame to see it deteriating so much , I hope the new improvements that are been made can put this park back to a high standard

  • Marek Lew

Super little park for the grandsons to enjoy. We've been here many times and to other parks but this is by a long way the favourite. Interesting mini animal/fish area. Large greenhouse with tropical flowers, really good play area with swings , climbing pyramid etc etc. All well kept and in good shape. No hesitation in recommending Pudsey Park.

  • Cheryl Elsom

Lovely park with its own small animal centre and greenhouse. It also has a rose garden, band stand and bowling green. Kids have plenty of space to play and plenty of equipment to play on within the play area. There is also a BMX track for the more adventurous. Cafes and shops are ample and very close by. The park is wheelchair accessible.

  • Martin Allan

The Park is currently a sore point I grew up in Pudsey and I still love the park itself but over the years we have lost petting Farm part now we losing other animal bit which was always something special about Pudsey Park. The green areas plants are great the playground part I think needs refreshing but over all is good fun for kids

  • Jonny Bage

A very large play area for the children which seems to be updated regularly. There has been a small skate park there for quite a few years now, and though I've personally never used it, it looks to be enjoyed by children of all ages. The gardens are well kept and there's room for a quiet little picnic if you were so inclined.

  • Raj Parmar

Lovely walk around the park as well as a nice visit indoors to see the birds/ fish/rabbits. There is a room inside for kids to do some drawing/colouring in - pictures and crayons provided. The outdoor playground is big with lots of climbing frames for older kids. There is parking right next to the playground which is free.

  • Tim Ngyou

Great local area to let the dog loose in. Not too crowded with plenty of path diversity to keep walkers, kids and dogs entertained. A little muddy in places, particularly during autumn and winter months but hey-ho. There's also a decent sized kids playground to keep the nippers happy for a good stint. Recommended!

  • John Barry Beaumont

A nice place and a decent sized park along with a rather large back part that has an area for bowls, a pet sanctuary (that also has a kids drawing area) and a greenhouse - the only downside to this whole place is the lack of CCTV (primarily in the park) but that's not enough to downgrade the 's from full 5! …

Hi its really beautiful park and free zoo in Pudsey park amazing fishes aquarium and also free gullash house or trees house. Beautiful roses garden so clean and very well maintained park amazing just amazing. Please see full of Pudsey park video on my YouTube channel farukh syed fitness first in your life.

  • Cat Jelić

Went here for the scarecrow festival never really been before. It was a great atmospere and lovely to see every out doing things. You have a lovely park that seems to be kept up with. it was a shame about the animal park at the top as that would have been great to see if it had been up and running still.

  • Dawn R

Fantastic park. When its not busy. Sadly the "soft" flooring on the play areas werent as soft as we assumed. My 2 year old tripped and the stones and sharp points grazed his face. Luckily hes a tough cookie and didnt notice it much. A big graze for the area the play parts are. The graze 2 days later x

  • cherryhead

We had a brilliant time here, there's a small skate park, a huge playground plus a small centre with info about local wildlife and some birds, fish etc. There's also a kiosk that sells ice-cream, coffee and crisps etc; and some planted gardens with a really echoey bandstand that's good fun.

  • Mary Baldwin

Lovely little park with pretty gardens. It’s small, but there’s a nice circuit for walking (friendly for pushchairs and wheelchairs) around and plenty space to sit and relax with a coffee and a book. There’s a small nature centre with a few animals, and a large play park to one side.

  • Richard Annetts

Lovely park but the visitor centre closed in April 2021 and so there are no toilet facilities in the park and you have to use the local leisure centre. Given that the have weekly band concerts throughout the summer I would have thought that some provision would have been made....

  • Stephen Lawrance

A park for all ages a park to be enjoyed at all times of year my personal favourite time is autumn last year was a splendid spectacle of colour a photographer's dream sadly I didn't have my camera with me but I'll be there this autumn with camera as well as the rest of the year.

  • Paul Allman

Play park still being updated frustratingly but took my son to the lawn bowling club. Really great welcome - would recommend a visit if you have a spare hour and giving it a go.
Playground
Playground had been finished, really good space for kids with plenty of swings.

  • Kat Brown

Main park itself is lovely, well kept and is our wee green oasis within Pudsey. Sadly the visitor's centre (aka animal house) and greenhouse are now permanently closed and the play park is lacking in play equipment (unknown of this is due to damage or social distancing).

  • Greg Wood

We love Pudsey Park for walks and sitting on one of the many benches. There aren't too many plants in flower but the crocuses, snowdrops & now daffodils, remind us that Spring is here. The cherry blossom is still a few weeks away but will be beautiful when it arrives....

  • Stuart Davis

A nice place to sit and read on a sunny day. There is mini zoo / animal exhibit at the top of the park which has free entry. Some of the animals can be seen from the outside when it is shut. Good place for a short walk before / after shopping on the Pudsey High Street..

  • Alan Boyall

This place has gone down the nik. Were are the aviary's. The band stand looks like some thing out if BQ. Bowling green hut where you pay is a shelter. And the cafe all gone. Lions head were you could get a drink. On a hot day. All gone. Get yer finger out Pudsey.

  • tim holdsworth

  • Mark Chadbourne

A lovely little park. Great to take the kids as there is a play area. Also a refreshment kiosk serving hot drinks and ice-creams. Not exactly a tourist spot but a little greenery in this suburb, pleasant for a stroll or to walk the dog.

  • Elaine Grundy

Not too much going on at this time of year and it's very wet just now, but the gardeners work very hard to keep it nicely. It's beautiful in the spring and summer. Children's playground is very well used but could do with some updating.

  • Brian Lancaster

Pudsey Park is in our opinion the BEST Park in West Yorkshire ~ We live in Bradford, and we go regularly .. It's so Picturesque, with lots of different Tree's and Lovely flower beds .. A Bowling green ect .. The People are So Friendly.

  • TAMMI KIRLEW

Great park for the kids to play in. Only downfall is the dog walkers allowing their dogs to foul in the garden area near to the Animals & Conservatory and not picking up, in broad daylight aswell. Totally disgusting and no need.

  • Carl Wanless

Took granddaughter with scooter. Path uneven dogs all over the place went to see the animals if you like rats and a few fish ok but not for me kids on bowling green older kids on swings and slides time to get it sorted

  • Michael Jordan

A little oasis in the centre of Pudsey where you can walk your dogs. Mid January does not see the park at it's best. Pet owners do clean up so you can take the kids to see the little aviary and the rabbit cage etc.

  • Lynne -marie Peacock

lovely park great playground and nice green areas for picnics bowls ect skatepark area was a shop to buy coffee soft drinks ice cream ect nice place to bring children and dogs if on leads would recommend a visit

  • Alveille Tekada

Lovely park with lots of greenery and florals, and a huge playground with an area for younger children, another area for older children and a skate park. Plenty of shops nearby to arrange an unplanned picnic!

  • Rosie Bryan

Lovely well-kept park. Especially beautiful in spring when the trees are in bloom. The small zoo and greenhouse are brilliant for children - free activity room is great for getting out of the cold in winter!

  • Pamela Hirst

A lovely park plenty of seats, there are picnic tables, children's play area, skateboard area, greenhouse and pet area ie rabbits and fish. Bowling green. Some areas are closed at this time due to covid 19.

  • Phil G

Nice little park, with playground for the kids with a little shop close by. Plenty of paths and a bowling green. Other things to do but I haven't ventured in as I usually have the dog with me.

  • Gemma Horsburgh

Always a nice little park to walk around. Children's play park is nice but could do with the rubber mat areas fixing and some play equipment. It will be nice when animal part is open again.

  • James Devney

Good selection of standard playground stuff. It was very icy this morning though, which made some of the equipment a little treacherous. It has a good feel, lots of families having fun.

  • Ibrahim Ali

Great for taking kids out. I have parks closer to me but prefer here as it's kept clean, has ample things for kids to do and we all love the tropical cabin in the park. 10 out of 10.

  • Richard Teale

I was taking Susie the chuwowa out for a walk in the park both me and Susie enjoyed it good sunny day and no rain and lots of other dog owner's and Susie was playing with them all

  • Keith Greenwood

Lovely park with a recently modernised playground, especially good for younger children. Free parking in the car park next to the playground (behind the bus station/sports centre)

  • Maverick

Ok car park, but catches out drivers who park on the outside which is only 2hrs and on the inside you can park all day. READ THE SIGNS WHEN PARKING HERE SO NOT TO GET CAUGHT OUT.

  • lisa beekharry

lovely local park which is always so clean and well kept. Today was the scarecrow festival and it was so lovely to see so many people out supporting the event and all the stalls!

  • Choozers

Would be 5 star however Police/ PCSO's dont seem to do anything about all the chavs that stand inside the kids play area bit smoking and messing around on the slide.

  • Paul S

What an absolute mess everything closed and run down leeds city council hang your head in shame what used to be a lovely park turned into a miserable place to visit☹️

  • Emma Paine

The park is great, however the double swing has been removed, my son is disabled and he will only go on that swing, we were disappointed when it was gone last week.

  • Andrew Crowther

Nice relaxing park just ashamed about the plants this year I dont consider throwing a few wild flower seeds in flowerbed my idea of harmony, it's cheap & lazy …

  • Ian Fowler

Great Park, love the greenery - then you emerge into a play area (half)full of all the swings, slides and climbing frames you need to keep a kid busy for hours!

  • Roger Morgan-Williams

Sunday afternoon band in the sunshine. What could be better? No public conveniences or refreshments though unless the bowls club is open.

Nice gardens to walk in and a good playground for kids of all ages. Would be even better if they brought back the little ice cream shop and the animals.
