Wow! I don't understand how this Bank stays open. I have an RBC MasterCard, and even though I go to another bank that I really like, after a ton of marketing to me, I decided to call a toll free number to apply for a line credit of I was being offered. After a lengthy application and being told was approved over the phone, I was told to go to this branch to sign some forms. The day before my appointment, I was given a call to confirm. I told the person who called that I was unable to make it because I got delayed on a road trip. Even though I told them it wasn't safe for me to be on the phone (I had been fishtailing my trailer, and I was on a windy road) they tried to book another appointment with me. The next day I got a call saying in a curt tone "you missed your appointment". I explained that I actually cancelled it and I was able to reschedule at that time. Prior to the next appointment I got sick so again I called to cancel. No one answered so I left a message. Again somebody called me, and and left a message saying in a curt tone that I missed my appointment They then proceeded to lecture me how about how I was supposed to call. I tried to call back but no answer. So I went into the branch to try to sort this out. When I got there I waited a very long time in line. Once at the front of the line the teller was not even able to log into the computer. I asked questions about if I could just sign a form. I really didn't have time that day to do anything more than to touch base with them since I was unable to get a hold of anybody on the phone. They didn't answer my questions instead telling me to wait. Eventually the guy came out with left me the voicemail. He again said I miss my appointment and should have called. When I explained that I did, he said he can't access voicemail. why would you lecture somebody about needing to call when you neither pick up your phone nor check voicemails? He then spent a very long time trying to find my application searching and all kinds of shared drives. This thing is getting so long but there are more instances of huge communication problems, delays, and rudeness. I ended up just deciding to cancel the line of credit. I have really good credit I can just get it at my own bank where I've never had a problem. Something is really wrong with this branch. Ultimately I didn't I lose much except for about 2 hours total between the time I spent on the initial application and the time I spent in the bank. That is kind of significant to me, however, I think the bigger problem is that they're handling people's money. If they can't operate their computers, their phones, or their voicemails why should anybody trust them with money. If they listen and communicate properly, how can anybody trust them with their banking needs. I'm not writing this review because I'm so hung up on revenge or something like that, but I really do think people should know how it's like there so that they can take their business elsewhere. I'm seeing a lot of really terrible reviews and clearly they're not rectifying their operating problems. Maybe some people that go don't even realize things are not operating normally there and that there are better options for them to do their banking. I hope this review helps.
If there were LESS than a 1 star option I would have given that. I have been a client of RBC for over 25 years and last night had to go into a teller to get a temporary card as my chip card no longer was working. I had the absolute worst customer service that I have ever had anywhere, the teller even got into an argument with my son in front of another teller and a customer! I understand if you do not like your job or having to work past 6 pm, but there is no reason to take it out on a customer... find a new job, preferably NOT in customer service! I will be removing my accounts from RBC and moving my house mortgage as well within the week. Absolutely no reason to treat a person the way this teller did. At one point she threatened to freeze my account and confiscate my debit card all because she was arguing with my son, which she started in the first place. My money in your bank is NOT YOUR PERSONAL MONEY NOR IS MY ACCOUNT and you have NO AUTHORITY TO DO WHAT YOU DID LAST NIGHT TO ANYONE. You do not deserve to be serving the public the way you acted last night and I do hope there is some sort of disciplinary action taken because of it. You are incompetent in customer service.. it is no wonder people prefer a machine than a teller! Pathetic customer service, I have never been so mad and disgusted all at the same time. You will no longer have my business.
If I could give a 0, I would. This Royal Bank staff does not have a clue of what they are doing. You book appointments, go in, see them in person, and staff are lost they have no idea about RRSP or any other transaction you want to do. Definitely do not go here if you want money exchanged feom another country they will tell you the exchange give you your quote and uoi come back when it is in and you have to do that day exchange rate order on line then you can pay and get the rate you watched for. The staff don't tell you this they tell upu when you get there and you have already ordered in person. The Manager Grace, well, she is useless. You call she never answers, and you will leave messages takes her days to get back to you. She is a manager who wants to run from the problems her bank has because she does not know how to train her staff or run a bank. So my suggestion is to stay away from this bank and go to another bank or leave RBC all together.
Wish I didn't even have to put 1 star for this location. The worst customer service I have experienced from a bank. Started off with the teller to the manager. The teller was ignorant and very rude, and when I would ask for an explanation she would blow me off with answers as "just because"or "I don't know". I was treated like I was trying to fraud the bank as I brought in a bank draft (which is as good as cash). Wanted to hold my funds for 4 business days, even though I am a long time client of RBC! I proceeded to request to speak to a manager, and again she would not help me. Her customer service at least was good and tolerable. I will never return to this branch, being treated as if I was a low life or some sorts. And to think I was thinking of opening my business account with RBC! What a joke !
I have a worse experienced in RBC Manning Crossing locations. I deposited my money thru teller, I gave the money to the teller and she mistaken counted my money. I spoked with the Assistant Manager and explained what happened. I asked her to check their cameras just to make sure if there is a mistakes happened. She said I have to pay $250 to check the video. They didn't even try to reach me to let me know that they did their investigation until I called them 10x. I've been with RBC for 11 years and this location is the worse location I've ever been. They didn't even answers incoming calls their phone is useless. I will Never go back and I WILL never do my transaction again in RBC MANNING CROSSING AGAIN!!!! I will close my account and never do business again!!! You can't protect your client!!!!
Been there a few times, everytime a bigger disappointment, first I go and try to change my online card they didn't do it correctly and money got stolen thanks to them, second time they wouldn't let me close my account!! Talking about 4 business days of an e-transfer, are you kidding me, since when do e-transfers work like that, keeping in mind it was not the procedure, the person simply refused to do it, and "suggested" I don't, already blenty of bad reviews, I understand a hard job but if you don't know ask a manager, manager don't know figure it out find someone who knows don't just start "suggesting" and telling you've done somthing you haven't, RBC in general is a terrible bank, loosing people and accounts like this can't be good for them so they better their customer service.
Very nice staff A girl helped me fill out my health insurance papers and send it in the first rbc in tamarack the older white lady with blonde hair was really rude I recommend this RBC location the staff here are genuine and nice and want to help you unlike the Tamarack location lady Who was mean and cancelled my card and when I found RBC phone help they told me to make a report on the Tamarack manager because there’s no way they could have made that mistake to completely cancel my card by accident so just a heads up if you’re with RBC go anywhere except the Tamarac location I would recommend this location because they are very nice and aren’t mean for no reason
I'll give two stars because the teller was helpful. However, I will say that I was extremely lucky to have gotten to first spot in line in a short time. At the teller it took about an hour to have everything I needed figured out which is somewhat painful for minor procedures. I felt extremely bad for the people behind me and listened to multiple different people get frustrated by long wait times. They must have had some budget cuts for their teller services but the waits for people behind me in line were simply inexcusable. I've only ever had long wait times like this at this branch. Avoid if you can.
We had an appointment with Carol to open a joint Chequing account. First impressions mean a lot and she was late and standoffish. She complained the whole time how her computer was slow. I asked a direct question and she gave a snarky answer. I could not wait to leave. She was also suppose to switch so our mortgage payment comes out automatically. Several weeks past and good thing I checked. She never did it. If I didn't notice this we would have gone without paying our mortgage. Needless to say she I am less then impressed with her service.
I wish I didn't even have to give them 1 star. This place is horribly managed and none of the staff nor managers seem to know what they are doing. 3 months in a row I went in with the same problem and always got a different explanantion. They wouldn't even let me finish talking before I would be interrupted!!! I have been with this bank for 6 years and the service just becomes worse and worse. I don't recommend this bank to anyone at all!! Stay away from this bank!!
Probably the worst customer service I have ever had. Teller was rude and condescending. After he needed a supervisor to sign off the supervisor/manager was actually worse. Definitely will use your money when you leave it in the bank however taking it out leaves a sour taste in their mouths obviously. Will stick to my main branch instead. If I could give negative 10 it would still be to good for this Branch.
Last week ordered pesos for our vacation. Yesterday was told it’s ready so my wife went to pick it up today. To my surprise she was not given the bills that were ordered, she was given 1000 peso bills instead of the 20s ordered… so now no small currency for our trip. I know I can exchange them once there, but why was I even asked what bills I want if they’re gonna give me whatever anyway.
A snail moves faster than the pace at this branch, not sure if people doing business aren't prepared but it's always forever to get something done here. Ok to be fair, more tellers came out and the people that were holding things up "finally" got their business done and things moved along fairly quick so I changed my review from 1 star to 4.
Today I came here to withdraw money, I’m satisfied with the service of the client advisor Chrissy Brooks, she’s approachable and she explained to me the offer I had in my account the overdraft thing! I’ve been in RBC for a decade and so far I’m satisfied with their service! I like the Branch in Manning also coz it’s close to everything!
I had a couple of appointments with Kiran, a financial advisor. She is fantastic. She gives solid and true advice. She doesn't push a lot of sales and she knows her stuff inside and out. I'd recommend her to anyone. As for the rest of the branch, I can't say. But if you need a Financial Advisor, she is the lady to see.
This is not acceptable Its a big line up still they keep whole line on 1 guy…..how it can be possible….worse bank i ever see….. You will keep waiting for 30 min but no one will help they just see ur faces but only 1 employees have to take whole line up…!!! I have to wait because they don’t care… Nothing u can do…!!!
Went there yesterday to speak with Carol financial advisor . Waited for 15 minutes. She was on phone which is ok but security guard came out and said she will call you. So at around noon she called very rude and abrupt. Didn't care what I was asking . Seemed like I was wasting her time.goong to look for a new bank
Four stars because everyone is nice and very helpful except for JASON he is very rude and not helpful at all. I booked an appointment to open up a resp account for my kids, i kept asking him questions to know more about it but he was very rude. JASON'S body language showed agressiveness and zero social skills.
Always a line up of at LEAST 6 people, sometimes up to 10 people in line. In line 15 minutes already & only 2 people have been helped. Only 2 tellers. If work didn't make me come here I'd certainly go elsewhere. Heaven forbid an employee come out if an office to help. This branch is horrible. …
This location is truly a mis managed branch. They seem to have only one or two tillers on at any given time. The lines are long and insanely slow to move. This is my 7th visit in the last two months, and nothing has changed. Time for me to change from using this branch. Maybe I will go to Servus....
I've had all kinds of bad experiences from no bathroom to a 20 minutes wait for a teller to having tellers have bad customer service skills. I was told on 2 different times there was no manager or assistant manager to lodge a complaint. Its unfortunate because all the other branches are excellent
Unnecessary waiting time, bank tellers ask unrelated questions to customers eventhough they met their need, keeping customers and introducing new bank services which are the customers don't want to.. Unprofessional approach during short staff situation. They don't respect customer's time.
I don't know why there is always a long line up I this branch. I hope they understand the demand of the people. They should find a way to minimize the wait time. It's really unacceptable. Sucks that this is the closest branch to my place and there isn't much of a choice for me.
Customer service is really good. The financial advisor is friendly and approachable and never force us to make a choice on any of their products . Use RBC online banking to schedule an appointment with your preferred financial advisor which is lot easier and quicker.
Do not give this bank your money! When you die they will not pay your family for funeral costs! As a bank that has a revenue of $80.751B (as of July 2023) taking a dead person's last $1900 instead of giving it to a grieving family for funeral costs is disgusting.
I never seen business wicket open when i come here it’s always closed and teller are not trained takes 20 mins for just deposits even teller don’t have name tag as well and waited for total hour for only this to see, please never come to this location never.
Hire some staff. Not even sure why this branch is kept open. It’s barely functioning as a bank. Horribly managed, maybe less “financial planners” sitting in offices and more front end staff. Line ups are consistently horrible here, 1 teller? Pathetic.
I guess I've had better luck than many people at this branch. That said, I'm usually skeptical when a large number of "different" people agree on a review and somehow all have less than 10 reviews on Google. Kinda looks like one person with a grudge.
Absolutely despise rbc. Been with them for 6 years and every year of it has sucked. Do not go with this bank. 3 month later update they are still the worst rbc branch I've ever been to. Absolute joke of a bank and all the workers here are useless
This is the worst bank that i've ever been in contact with ..I got to the bank at 3:55 pm today to pay on a credit card only to have a lady standing at the door telling me they close at 4pm..I said i know but its not 4 yet she then tells me
Not very impressed with RBC lately. A lot of misinformation and confusion, seems to take a horrendous amount of time to complete simply tasks here. I appreciate they try to be helpful but the amount of time I have wasted going back and
I have been with RBC for 8 years. After visiting this branch on the 14th of October 2023. I made a firm decision to change banks. The advisor (Xinying Yao) was so poor with her human relationship. After booking the appointment for so
The lineup got worse during the pandemic, they couldn't even make seperate lines for the atm and desk operations. They didn't tell anybody that the line for the front counter wasn't a line for the atm. Manager was called out on it by
Absolutely brutal. Business wicket supposed to be open until 4:00, arrived at 2:30 to a closed wicket. EXTREMELY long waits, no service and no care for the customer. Highly recommend banking literally anywhere else.
I was having issues with my banking and also had other inquiries about labour unions etc and HEATHER at RBC manning exceeded my expectations and was very competent and compassionate for my situation.
Two stars because their phone number directs to AI menu tree hell and won't let you talk with a human. Reception desk closed in favor of technology. Stupid move in my opinion. Considering Servus.
8 people waiting..2 people working counter.. others sitting in offices with no clients. Mai I g drive RBC. Highly recommended to go other places. I had a bad experience this branch.
Trying to call branch, it connects me to the 1 800 number. I enter my card information and it says if I need further assistance to book an appointment and hangs up on me.
My girl Claire ( I think that's her name ) Is always there with a smile. Answers all my questions. Understanding of my needs.
Waited one hour for 5 client in front of me to get through the Wicket.
