What poor customer service. I arrived at the store to find a few staff members just chatting at the front of the store. I went to customer service at the back of the store to get some information on 6 appliances that I was interested in purchasing, but no one was there or came after I rang the bell on the counter. I made my way back up to the front where there was a staff member just straightening a counter display. I told her if she could get someone for me to talk to about appliances I was interested in purchasing, she replied that I did not need to speak to customer service but rather talk to a cashier. I asked if she could help me then and she asked rudely “what are you looking for” I told her that the items I saw online were not on the floor and if she could look them up to which she replied I’m going home soon. She walked to the back and I followed. She asked for sku’s and I gave them to her, but they were not the right ones as she wanted the Rona codes rather than the item codes. I explained that I found them online as item codes. A fellow staff member approached and she told him that I didn’t have the right codes to which he replied that she would have no problem looking them up. She then told him that she wanted to leave and that it would take her 3 hours to get where she needed to go. I then told her that I wouldn’t mind waiting for someone else if she had to leave, she replied “I’m helping you am I not!!!” So rude and I quickly excused myself and told her that I no longer needed her help. Her name tag read Candace. I like to support Canadian businesses but could not excuse her rudeness. I went to Canadian appliance source where the service was exceptional and I dropped $9.000.

I placed an order for shed installation over the phone. The guy confirmed they would build a 'concrete base' and install for $1750. A couple of days later, a lady called and told me the price would be $1950, and that they 'never' do concrete base. After some argument, she 'generously' agreed to bring the price down to $1750 with a wooden base. A few days later, I received a text message asking me to click a link to choose my installation date which I did. Next day, a guy called me and said there was something wrong with the online booking system, and that they would have to delay my installation for at least 10 days. I had no choice so I agreed. On the day of installation, two 'professional' installers came and told me that I would have to pay extra as the backyard was not level. They further told me that they would not be able to install it on that day as it was windy. I told them I was not ready to pay even a single penny extra. They left in a hurry. I called again and wanted to talk to the supervisor, but he was busy in a meeting, and was supposed to call me back which he never did. I have already got the order cancelled, and I'm hoping I would get a refund. I wish I could penalize you guys for wasting my precious time!!

I went to Rona to buy hardware needed to hang a heavy mirror on the wall. Usually I go to Home Depot but this time I thought I will give this a try. After entering, found this shop is smaller in size compared to Home Depot so was initially glad I don't have to do much walking. After going through some isles I found the options for hardware I needed were very limited. I tried to get help from person sitting in the Service desk. They were unhelpful and didn't make much effort so I kept going isle after isle. After buying few hardware n I came home, I found I made a mistake buying wrong screws. I went to home Depot this time and my experience was much better. I found the right screws at better price. Also, looking around I thought I made a mistake going to Rona since there were so many options. Sure you will need to walk a lot but staff at home Depot is helpful and they will take you to exact place where you need to be. They will walk with you. I will never ever go to Rona.

I ordered salt for my pool online and waited for my email to go and pick it up. I got my email and drove over the following day to pick-up my order. Once I got there I called the number and waited. 20 minutes later the worker comes out and tells me they don’t have any salt left, so they sold my salt to someone else! They said I could wait another week (I waited a week to get my supplies). I needed to open my pool as it was getting late in the season, so I had to pay a premium and buy it at the Pool Shoppe. What really ticks me off is that no compensation was offered for wasting my time or gas and the manager didn’t even have the fortitude to come talk to me, instead they made a low level worker deliver the bad news. In the future I will avoid this Rona at all costs and I suggest you do too. They have shown me that don’t care about their customers.

The staff inside were helpful. I paid for mesh and scratch coat then was told to go to the yard for the mesh. I carried the 50lb bag and walked around the building to the yard. I talked to one guy and he and another person went looking for it. 10 min goes by then the guy tells me sorry we don't have it. So I walked all the way back with the 50lb bag to get a refund. Then another guy comes in from the back to say they found it. So again with bag walked all the way back to get it. I asked for the mesh to be rolled so was able to fit . 3 guys now at this point are trying to figure out how to do it. 1 guy directs as 2 try to roll it up. Was painful to watch and I was unhappy already so I got in there after watching for 5 min and did it myself as 3 guys stood and watched me do it. Go back to work boys! Daddy's got this!

I placed an order on June 7 for deck boards. Got email the next day saying they are having an issue fulfilling the order. Will try to get my order by June 11. Checked my order by 2 pm and still nothing. I called the store and the female person proceeded to tell me that they are putting my order to the side because people can now walk in and shop. They don't have time to fulfill my order. I asked for a manager and got put on hold for about 15 mins and then switched to voicemail. I left a message for a call back on why I can get my ordered filled from JUNE 7. No call back. Drove to another Rona store and got my deck boards. Hey Rona, Rymal RD. cancel my $429 order and BTW, not shopping at your location again. Bye Disgusting customer service

Thank you so much to the staff at Rona for helping someone that has so many issues ordering online. I had ordered the wrong bolts that were needed to put up my gazebo due to not knowing how to order correctly. The staff were so kind and took the old ones i had and got some for me from the store. They also grabbed me a can of tremclad paint to i could get rid of some rust spots. As a person that cant sit in direct sunlight this was appreciated more than they will ever know. Thank you again ladies i will think of your kindness everytime i sit in my gazebo. Your staff has always been the kindest, helpful staff i have experienced

Recently I went to purchase electric pressure washer on June 14, 2021 at 6:20pm. When I was checking out at cashier, she offered to take additional protection plan. I asked her what’s covered and what’s not but she doesn’t know and she asked to another cashier “Cristina”. I asked Cristina, does this additional warranty start after the 1 yr manufacturers warranty done but she doesn’t know and replied with rudely to me “ you have to read details inside the box” I said, if you worked here do suppose to know about and then she walk away from there to take another cashier. So that bad experience to me with Cristina.

I used to like this store a lot! Maybe not so much anymore. My last several visits have been disappointing. In fact on my last visit; I ended up going to the Rona in Watertown to purchase my materials. It's a tight store with tons of products. Maybe they need to set up some tablets or screens to help you find your product. The last 3 employees... one young guys was great .... the others well, I ended up going elsewhere. I don't think I will be returning. Sad I have been coming here from the days of Beaver Lumber

Poor setup for curb side pickup. Told order was ready for pickup. Waited over ,30 minutes at the gate well order for person ahead was loaded on to a small trailer only to be told that they could not find the bulk items ordered....on line inventory showed stock of over 50 units. Ordered was prepaid,was told to come back for refund when the store opened up. I refused, finally received refund to my PayPal acct after lengthy delay. Drive a little further to Lowe's for same items and far better service.

Staff is always friendly and helpful so they do not reflect this star rating. Reason for the 2 star rating is I ordered online and asked for store pick up. I arrived and called the number and gave my spot number. At that time there was only two cars parked in a numbered spot. My order took 45 MINUTES from my call to having it brought to my car. I strictly only do store pick ups and the wait here is ridiculous. Do yourself a favour and just wait until you can walk in or just order from Amazon.

Amazing service drove out from mississauga to go pick up some patio chairs for our newly built deck. When we got to Rona we were amazed at how efficient they were when picking up our online order. They directed us to the pick up area at the side of the shop ,we drove up and a gentleman approached asked us what we were picking up we gave our order slip and identification and out they came with our chairs they even loaded up our car for us. Great service neat and tidy location thank you guys !!

Ordered deck tiles that had to be delivered to Rymal store from parkdale store after 1 week still not available tried phoning put on hold for 15 minutes for someone to tell me they might be delivered tomorrow. Had 2 people waiting to do the job as they were promised to be in the store in a week Had to get the store manager to sort things out and had them delivered today by 7 p.m. They are being delivered from klparkdale to my house today could they have done this in less than a week

My experience was very positive. The courteous gentleman at the pro desk corrected my choice of concrete sealer. He knew his products and was very helpful. Face to face is always better when the staff is knowledgeable. Without his advice i may have had serious problems. Great place to shop. Sometimes they have products the other stores in their brand do not carry. They have often assisted me and have provided good value products and i will keep coming back.

I went in to buy mulch that was on sale. The cashier told me that they were out of the color I wanted and she was rude abour it. I went for my second choice. When i went out to have it loaded, the guy told me they were out of that colour too. Thankfully they had plenty of another color. Rhe shelves were practically empty so i didn't bother shopping for the other things I needed.

I called about lumber. I couldn't place the order online for some reason even though it said they had over 1700 in stock. They told me it was a safety mechanism on their site so they didn't run out of product. You're telling me I can't order because you'll run out when you have well over a thousand in stock? I called two different stores and they helped me with the issue.

I ordered 2 small items online on Tuesday that were in stock. I called Thursday before close and asked a woman about my order. Without asking me my name or what I ordered, she told me it wouldn't be ready until Friday or Saturday. Great customer service. I can hardly wait to see how long I will be waiting in my car when (if) they ever email me that my products are ready.

Terrible customer service. Chasing workers down who try to avoid talking to customers. Lucas looks at you like he's annoyed he has to serve you. Old guy behind the service counter just stares at you without saying "Hi can I help you". If the employees are a reflection of the manager, then there's really no use teaching the manager what good customer service is.

I have had a positive experience when I was there for curbside pickup. I placed my order online and they notified me very fast. When I was there for pickup, the staff was friendly and I got my order quickly as well. The overall wait time was pretty less from my experience. This store has various home improvement items. I would definitely recommend this place.

Always go here when I need something to fix or improve my home, they offer a wide selection of materials, lumber, and equipment needed depending on your project. Everytime I've gone here the staff had been accommodating, and knowledgeable helping me find what I need. I've always left with what I needed, and felt confident in the item I purchased.

Called on a Tuesday see if a product(Birthday gift) was available an employee stated it needed to be ordered and be in on Friday. I called on Friday(Today) and my order was not even on file. The person I spoke to advised me that 2 other Rona's have it in stock(out of my way) Thank you for the incompetence of your employees; great service!!!!!!!

Small location but they have the essentials. The paint associate we encountered was awesome, did great comparison color sampling and was very knowledgeable. The paint by Rona is very good, and it goes on sale intermittently so jump on it when you can never too busy and with social distancing it's faster than going to a bigger store. …

This has hands down got to be the worst home improvement store in Canada. Unfriendly and Unknowledgeable staff combined with a terrible store layout make it extremely difficult to get what you need. Do not go here… there are countless other options that blow this out of the water . Just a matter of time before it goes under

Given the conditions to do business these days I think they did a pretty damn good job. Sometimes the tone of voice on the telephone seems that they're really frustrated, as well as they should take the time to listen to the customers on the phone before they put them on hold. Would save a lot of aggravation and trouble.

Always a great time visiting rona the staff help you get in and out while still making sure they help you gather all the information you need and the prices are great . now they just need to start a rental department then I’d have a one stop shop for all my home improvement material needs! I was greeted at the door. Todd was extremely helpful with providing advice on the different drain snake products. His extensive knowledge in plumbing was very useful to me and my specific situation. I left with the product I was looking for. The lady at the check out was very friendly also.

Very helpful staff, they take the time to explain things to you and help you make the right decision. They don't have a lot on display compared to other similar stores, but if you ask for help, you would be surprised with what they have and can order.
