A metro railway station built under it is also named Rajiv Chowk metro station. Connaught Place, officially known as Rajiv Chowk, is one of the main financial, commercial and business centres in New Delhi, Delhi, India. It houses the headquarters of several noted Indian firms and is a major shopping, nightlife and tourist destination in New Delhi. As of July 2018, Connaught Place was the ninth most expensive office location in the world with an annual rent of $1,650 per square metre The main commercial area of the new city, New Delhi, occupies a place of pride in the city and are counted among the top heritage structures in New Delhi. It was developed as a showpiece of Lutyens' Delhi with a prominent Central Business District (Delhi). Named after Prince Arthur, 1st Duke of Connaught and Strathearn, construction work began in 1929 and was completed in 1933. It was designed by Robert Tor Russell. It was renamed in 1995 after former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi.[3] The area today falls under the jurisdiction of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and is therefore allotted a high priority in term of funds for maintenance and upkeep.[7] New Delhi Traders Association (NDTA) is the association of establishments (like retails stores, restaurants, halls, offices) in Connaught Place. NDTA also plays a major role in liaising with government bodies like NDMC in order to represent the commercial interests and maintenance issues of Connaught Place establishments.

India, a diverse and culturally rich nation, is known for its vast history, remarkable traditions, and stunning landscapes. With a population of over 1.3 billion people, it is the second-most populous country in the world. India's history dates back thousands of years, with ancient civilizations like the Indus Valley contributing to its heritage. India is characterized by its geographical diversity, from the Himalayan mountain range in the north to the fertile plains of the Ganges River. It boasts a rich tapestry of languages, religions, and ethnicities. Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism all originated here, and the country is home to various religious landmarks, including the Taj Mahal and Varanasi, a sacred city on the banks of the Ganges. Economically, India has made significant strides in recent decades, becoming one of the world's largest economies. Information technology, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture are vital sectors. However, it also faces challenges such as poverty, inequality, and infrastructure development. India's political landscape is marked by a democratic system, and the country has a diverse and complex political environment with a federal structure, consisting of states and union territories. In 200 words, it's impossible to capture the entirety of India's rich culture, history, and complexity, but it remains a nation of immense importance and fascination on the global stage.

Rajeev Chowk is an extremely busy metro station in Delhi, serving as an interchange between the Blue and Yellow lines. The station is surrounded by various cafes, restaurants, a cinema hall, and government offices. With 8 gates in operation, it can be difficult to determine which gate to use for exiting, especially for new visitors. Despite the potential confusion, the station offers easy access to popular destinations such as Connaught Place and Janpath. As a result, it is a popular hub for commuters, tourists, and locals alike. However, visitors should be prepared for crowds and potential delays during peak hours. Architecture and designing are awesome in this place. This station connects Blue line & yellow. Awesome food and many restaurants are there. Outside of the station, many shops are cloths. There you can get many showrooms and cheapest clothes in India. * On metro station drinking water is available and on this metro station washroom available inside the metro means without exit you can use wash room it is inside the premises of metro. * CCD restaurant also available there. * Garden and park are there where you enjoy beautiful nature and there also a National Flag. * Weighing machine available on the metro station.

  • VRINDA VAANI

One of the busiest metro station of Delhi located on intersection of yellow line and blue line.. having a great footfall daily. On the rooftop is the central park.. a beautiful garden with open theater devloped by ndmc. Outside the metro station is surrounded by outer and inner circles of world famous Connaught place .. which is heart of Delhi. Many classical restaurants, bars, showrooms, finance and corporate offices are located in this area .. along with underground palika bazar.

  • Aaron Haris

The metro station was probably the most maintained and equally respected from the public I have seen and experienced for a government transportation of India. I was frankly bewildered when the queue was small and people didn't rush in or out. They gave each other space and had their own sense of privacy. The ticket machine and the enquiry services were fast and helpful. Definitely not the India I'm used to but would like to see the attitude push it's boundary further.

  • Prerit Jain

Extremely overcrowded with two line connectivity. Station is well established and has all required food outlet, ATMs and washrooms. Washrooma are paid though but well maintained. Cannaught place is right outside the station and well connected with popular markets. Due to overcrowded place, you may get difficulty in entering inside the train because you may get push. However, considering the important lines connectivity, it is understandable.

Beautiful white buildings, looks even more beautiful at night. The giant Indian Tricolor Flag looks majestic as it sways in the center of the garden. A place worth visiting, weather alone or with friends or family. There are a lot of high end restaurants and food chains in the vicinity too. A good place to grab a bite if you are into fine dine restaurants or pubs

Rajiv Chowk Metro Station serves as a bustling interchange hub for the blue and yellow metro lines. Its strategic location facilitates easy transfers, but the sheer volume of commuters can lead to a hectic atmosphere. Despite its busyness, the station efficiently connects different metro lines, contributing to the overall convenience of Delhi's metro network.

  • Sahil Daim

Rajiv Chowk Metro Station is excellent! Clean, well-maintained, and easily accessible. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, it offers smooth commuting options. Friendly staff and efficient services. A go-to station for a hassle-free travel experience. Highly recommended for all commuters! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Ratan Singh

  • Arjun Gupta

Rajiv Chowk metro station impresses with its central location and bustling environment. However, overcrowding during peak hours can be overwhelming. The station's cleanliness and signage could be better maintained. Still, its connectivity and convenience make it a crucial hub for navigating the city.

Too much crowded, and due to heavy rush you will see dirtness also. If you can't remember the things and you come here you may get confuse for platforms. But read the instructions on board and follow them. To go on different destinations there are different platforms located on different floors.
