I popped into this store today while I was talking on the phone to my grandmother. I was going up and down the aisles and saw a few treasures I was interested in. I was taking my time looking and was intending to ask for prices once I was finished with my phone call. An older woman who I presume was the owner came up to me and asked me if I was shopping or just talking on the phone. She said "we're in a pandemic and I don't want you dirtying up the air. Other customers need to come in". I will also add that she was not masked and there were no other customers in the store or waiting to come in. I told that I was interested in several items but that I would be leaving. I was very insulted by this attitude and will not be returning. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

I was in a bind and needed a plunger to unclog my friend's toilet. I ran over to Ralph's Hardware and an elderly woman working, who was pretty rude, tried to ignore me when I asked her if she had a plunger. I was sympathetic and patient as she's an older lady probably in her late 70s or early 80s, so I'm extremely patient. She found a plunger for me and asked me if I had cash, to save some money (probably evade paying HST) and she charged me $21.50 for a plunger. I was in a bind so I just paid by debit for it and left. I support local businesses all the time and love helping out mom and pop stores... but Ralph's Hardware 21 and fifty thumbs down for outrageous over-charging for basically junk. Buyers beware!

unfortunately I have to echo the stories of other reviewers here - stopped in to inquire about dressers mid-week and was not allowed inside of the shop to browse as they were hanging something up by the front of the store, so i waited during about -15 (polar vortex weekend) until they finished (no one else was in the store). once inside, i was prevented from walking down the aisles to browse and quoted $100 for a “very good” dresser that did not appear to be made of solid wood. i left and the older woman at the counter hollered “i hope you come back and buy from me!” - a strange experience, and one i don’t intend on repeating. do not visit.

I went here earlier this afternoon with my partner and an older woman behind the counter (who I’m assuming is the owner) was incredibly rude to my partner and I. She was helping someone else and asked us what we were looking for, to which we responded that we were just browsing to see what we can find. She then proceeded to tell us repeatedly that we can shop at the front only by the entrance where she can see us. I truly felt like we were discriminated because we’re queer and holding hands. We felt so uncomfortable because she kept repeating this to us and was incredibly hostile, so we immediately left. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

This store has alot of great antique items. The owner is such a lovely person. I bought a gorgeous leather horse there. It is the perfect fit for the person I am gifting it to. They sell items on Instagram and have alot of items that can be asked about at the store. If you like very unique items this is a great antique store to call and inquire about what you are interested in. I had a great experience at this store. They are also a handy hardware store. I highly recommend it and I will definetely be visiting again.

Certainly not a hardware store. Wouldn't even call it a Store, more so someone's Hoarding of trinkets and one offs. Owner tried to sell me a plumbing part that was missing pieces for more then triple a large Retailer.($14 dollar Shut-off which She wanted $35) Owner was insanely Rude and also said that I should Shop at Ikea, clearly someone that doesn't know what Hardware Store is... Time capsule beyond it's expiration date.

Don't even bother going to this store. The lady who works there is completely crazy. I went inside to tell her I'll like to purchase something from outside and she started screaming like a wild animal for me to go outside. Why have a store with such bad customer service? And if you so scared of covid why be open? She never came outside and I could still hear her screaming inside the store. Horrible experience!!

A great family hardware store, packed to the ceilings with anything you can imagine. Need an obscure fuse? Or a rare plumbing tool? They probably have it. Today I had the water turned off in our house fixing a plumbing leak, and realized at 8:45 at night that I was missing a part - I called in, they pulled it out for me, and stayed open after hours until I got there - that's customer service!

Dusty and disorganized surroundings, heavy smoke in the air. Arrogant and unfriendly owners who ask you absolutely no touching their merchandise. Above all, their things are so overpriced! Who would buy a plate you get in walmart for $5.99 and spend over $10. I would truly feel like a moron if i ever go back to that place!

Ralph's Hardware is a unique store with hardware and so much more for what you may want for a home. I popped in needed a half-inch drill bit - which they had! - but they have so much more! Light fixtures, soccer shirts, pots for plants, antique trays and so much more can be found here!

I absolutely hate this store. They have nothing you actually need for day to day maintenance and up keep. And they viciously over charge you one everything. You’ll save more money paying for an Uber to take you to a from a real hardware store.

I was away from my neighbourhood and needed to buy a padlock. I wanted to support local business and so I want to the nearest one that was open. They sold me an off-brand padlock for $28. I should have simply gone to Home Depot. What a scam.

Rude shop keep yelled at me for trying to go into the store. They asked for $20 dollars for a wicker basket that costs $5 anywhere else. The distain they have for their customers is astounding. I've found better home goods in the trash.

A wealth of information and friendly service. If they don't have it, you probably don't need it. Filled to the ceiling with odds and ends. A great place to explore, especially for interesting light fixtures.

  • Zehna Odwar

Hostile and belligerent store owners. Screamed at my friend and I while we were browsing. I'm surprised they make any money, their customer service is more like harassment.

  • Minh Hoàng

Everything is super overcharged at this store. Don't shop here. Home depot charges you a third of the price for a probably better quality items.

  • Don Smaglinski

RIP-OFF STORE. Ignorant women who presents herself as someone who has dementia. Clearly out of touch with the customer. Avoid this store!!

  • Yasmeen Finjan

Find a different hardware store if you need keys cut or you need to buy something. This couple are scammers and will rip you off!! AVOID.

  • Joseph Martel

It's a little small but has everything I needed and Ralph was very helpful. I'm not really sure what happened to that other dude...

  • Bo Zhao

The owner is very rude and ridiculous. He even didn’t allow me to go inside the store if I just browse.

  • AF

They don't open in their hours listed pretty much every day. Not dependable.
