I recently closed on a home and got my mortgage through Regions. I won't mention my loan officer's name as I feel he did the best he could, but I'm super disappointed with the Supervising Manager Max & the loan processor Alice. I was told that my loan was closing on Friday, 9/30, and the entire day, my closing time pushed back. This continued for over a week, finally closing on 10/10. During that time, I was asked for a surplus of last minute documentation, often at the end of the business day or later. There was no clear timeline or communication, and even halfway through this nightmare, I was told I might not even get my loan anymore. That was obviously incorrect information, as I've finally crossed the line. However, during week that I was misled to think "it's happening tomorrow," my husband missed four days of work, I missed a week, my family (with a 5 month old and a 4year old) paid $750 to stay in our rental on the floor. $1029 in a hotel. $656 towards our truck where our entire house was packed up for the duration. The expenses, lost wages, emotional distress, and uncertainty made my first home-buying experience awful. I asked for help in offsetting the expenses I incurred and they pushed my payment back one month and offered credits towards my loan, which I appreciate, but doesn't help alleviate the nearly $2000 I spent dealing with Regions. I've tried to reach out for more help in resolving the issue with no luck. If you need to work with a bank that meets deadlines, communicates clearly, and works efficiently, I recommend selecting another branch or brand. My supervisor and other professionals involved in the transaction strongly were so appalled at how mishandled this was that at one point, we felt that the loan processor was delaying things on purpose. Please choose carefully, and if you are relying on their timeline and word, DON'T. **in case anyone is wondering if they actually reached out to me per the comment below, they didn’t.**

Just joined Regions about 3 months ago and when you walk in you get the impression you are in a first class bank, then you slowly find out all the big so first class issues that come up. I get an email sent to phone weekly that I’m not interested in at all and then I just received a paper statement that I did not want and did not sign up for. If the world is going to go paperless, like the fact they wouldn’t give me three starter checks, but take the time out to print a bank statement that I didn’t want, makes me wonder. I would bend over backwards to make a new client happy. Yet I find even if I call with a question, I feel the banker has an egg timer on her desk, ️ times up, can’t answer any more questions. Kudos to them for having a fully staffed bank. Bankers everywhere, but try to find a bank in one of the top cities in America! Three within 5 mile radius. Other banks on every corner. I wish I had thought this through a bit more and the questions I asked about what was needed to open up an account. Driver’s license and another form of ID. I spent 4 hours in the bank on the first day, which was really straining. I was asked for a code name and a password with all these what you can have and what you can’t. I should not have to do that in a rush and in front of the banker. Felt very awkward. I give it a few more months and see what else they put me through that I have already requested no paper. If we are going to make this world better, let’s at least follow some sort of rule on no paper mailed to your home. And it would be nice to add another full blown bank. I like lots of different people to help you get different things done ✅

Justin Ilugbo Financial Relationships Consultant. The worst customer service experience I have ever encountered!!!! Allowed someone to skip me then I asked to use the restroom the other lady working answered and said ARE YOU a customer do you have an appointment ? After I’ve already Been Waiting In Line Apparently I’m A Customer!!! Then Justin’s Yells Out Have A Seat I’ll Open The Bathroom In A Minute!!!! The other lady was not doing anything and could have easily opened the door I felt like a child being told to GO SIT DOWN !! The Way He Talks And handle business is so unprofessional and to treat your own kind like that is just sickening ! I Never Write Reviews But hopefully you see this and try and change a little you never know what someone is going through !!

Harold was extremely helpful in facilitating my banking needs. He even helped get me through the line faster by handling the transaction in his office, relieving the teller. The staff was friendly and genuine in their efforts to proficiently render service.

Don’t think you’ll get through the line on Friday at noon and be able to go back to work. One person working behind the counter. I walked out after 20 minutes in line and no one moving. Sorry y’all suck

I came to cash a non-Regions check and was being helped by Graziella. She is awesome. Very kind, efficient, and friendly. I’ll be opening a Regions account soon. Best banking experience I’ve had.

I also want to mention, Graziella, she's normally at the thru window and is wonderful. She remembers your name, background and is always friendly and professional! Best regions in Atlanta!!!

Awful customer service, lack of communication, and they don't stand by their word. Unfortunately, I would not recommend them.
