Racial and discriminational behaviour at its best!! Beautiful vintage looking store old gems but so is the customer service old fashioned and lost in the past!! They judge you straight away when you walk in, some staff even look at you up and down and talk and laugh!! I’ve shopped here in the past and it was ok, then the old staff all vanished slowly and service went -0!! I popped in 2 weeks back and seen a nice old fashioned cut diamond ring and some nice flower earrings, I asked the woman if she could keep them till tmrw because I’ve left my credit-note at home she said they will be fine no one’s buying them, I took pictures!! The items were in the 50% off sale, the ring was priced at £275.00 and the earrings were priced at £149.00 I went in all happy the next day to be told by some employee that it’s all wrongly priced and both items went up by exactly £100.00!!?? What the hell?? She was rude and abrupt and didn’t Wana listen to me or believe me!! I even asked my friends in the jewellery quarter who said prices on gold or silver or any luxury item don’t go that high in one day lol!! If I wasn’t brown I think it would have been a different matter all together guaranteed!!!! I went back in today and guess what the price tags gone back to normal price £149.00 on earrings and the ring they can’t find Even whilst serving me they had got an English Caucasian white couple who came in and went to serve them completely ignoring me!! I even spoke to Daniel the owner but didn’t really get any help!! I told my friend about the incident and how I felt, he told me “haven’t you read the reviews about them, and the golywogg incident” If it wasn’t for the credit note I’d never ever shop in there ever again!! I don’t judge people, we are all equal , so they shouldn’t judge me!! Feel really upset and down!! This is why business shut down on terrible customer service!! My money is as good as the next persons, I work hard and don’t expect this type of behaviour! Shame!!

I was recently in Birmingham for one night with my girlfriend and we visited this jewellers so I could buy her a nice ring and buy myself a ring too. I bought her a 9ct gold ring which is very nice, and then bought myself a ring. It was described as sterling silver with no faults or damage, it is a small low weight ring so was priced fairly at £15. Having left Birmingham, we have taken our rings out of their boxes and the gold ring is perfect, however the sterling silver ring is completely cracked / broken. At no point was I told this ring was broken, and if I had been told there would be zero chance I would have bought it. I have looked at the returns policy and I have to return within 7 days in return for store credit or an exchange - which is now impossible as I am over 115 miles away. In hindsight, I certainly should have inspected the ring in greater detail, but the crack is hard to spot for someone who is long-sighted and without glasses, and this is also something which should be told to me. It is a very dishonest and deceitful practice to sell broken rings without mentioning anywhere at all that the rings are broken. Before purchasing the ring was taken into the back for a in-depth polish so I find it highly improbable that they didn’t know it was broken. Not only that, but a broken ring is clearly not worth £15, it is scrap silver at that point as the cost to repair a completely broken ring is minimum £45 which is roughly 18x the value of the weight of the ring. Please see the attached photographs as proof. It would be very nice if an employee could get in touch with any possible resolution for this.

The diamond was absolutely stunning and everything and more than what Mr Johnson had described and what I had seen in the excellent photos and video that he had sent. It was beautifully packaged and came with full certification and insurance valuation. I cannot recommend Robert's jewellers enough; their customer service is outstanding and I really believe it would be difficult to get a better bargain for really high quality gems elsewhere."

Lovely shop with a wide range of 2nd hand jewellery from 9ct to now, very few pieces of 22ct gold. Some staff members are more helpful than others. Overall a lovely jewellery shop. Prices are quite steep considering many of their jewellery is 2nd hand and will often inflate drastically from one day to the next. 22ct gold is currently at £43.50 per gram. To put the very high fees in perpective, a pair of 22ct gold earrings at 4.7 grams are priced at Roberts £349.00 for less than 5 grams! Thats a lot more, than buying a new pair of earrings directly from a jeweller. H&T pawnbrokers is literally a 5min walk from this store. Although their range is not as wide as Roberts, their prices are very reasonable.

After stumbling across their Instagram @therobertsjewellers and seeing some lovely items on there I wanted to come to the shop in person to see their selection! I travelled up from London and was amazed by not only the great jewellery at incredible prices but the customer service was just outstanding. An extra special shoutout to the sales assistant, Ava and the manager, Daniel! Thank for you for the deal on my Fiancés stunning engagement ring which was an incredible deal (literally 50% cheaper than anywhere in London) Thanks Roberts - I’ll be back for my next purchase very soon.

I took my jewellery in to be valued and the woman said it was just costume jewellery set in stainless steel so I should leave. It was Swarovski 9ct gold. She was very rude and made me feel like I shouldn´t be in there. Will never go in again!!!!!
