Very average, service OK for those that we dealt with, however management should look at the ridiculous rules! Monday before a public holiday - not an actual public holiday and was told the Senior deal of $5 off wasn’t valid on a public holiday, even though it was not a public holiday!! We were sitting way upstairs in a marquee and asked at the bar and waiter numerous times for water only to be told they don’t do “jugs or bottles” of water, and we had to walk downstairs to the bar to get a tiny glass of water from a tap. How hard is it to give a jug so we can fill with water? They do jugs of beer but no water. Such a joke! Food was OK, portion sizes were good. Drinks expensive for a pub! No discounted beers on tap.

The Positive: Very clean, has been nicely done up, bar is good with a good selection. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food service was disturbingly quick. The Negative: Food wasn’t great, not bad, but not great. On the night we were there, the 2 families who live in the Bistro were also there. We assume they live there as they certainly treated the place like it was their house. The kids were wrestling in the rumpus room in front of the fire, they then changed the kids into their pyjamas in the bedroom (booth), they then got out toothpaste, toothbrushes and headed towards the bar, not sure what happened then. Also there seems to be a higher proportion of tracksuit pants than there is in the general population.

I am not normally one to write a reviews like this but I hope this can be a good turning point for an establishment. $5.75 for a small glass of soda water seemed a bit steep…. Ordered the “overnight slow cooked” ribs which were extremely dry to be slow cooked, they tasted like they were out of a frozen packet, reheated and left under the heat lamp for way too long. The “USA BBQ sauce” tasted like ketchup mixed with BBQ sauce. Heavily disappointed for the price point ($37) for about 6 small size ribs and service. Definitely need a visit from higher management to try their own food before serving to customers. Hopefully management can see this as an opportunity of growth. Would definitely reconsider coming here..

Appalling experience. Two family groups walked into this establishment, with 6 kids in total. I was looking for a bathroom so I entered the gaming area looking for it. It was difficult to find and I was being stared at by two staff members. I asked one of them where the bathroom was which was hard to find. I entered the bathroom however I was followed in by one of the staff members. After leaving the bathroom the staff member was waiting for me directly outside the door. To say I felt uncomfortable would say the least. I sat down with my family in the bistro, explained to them what happened. We immediately left and had a very enjoyable meal at another local establishment. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Please don't waste your money on food here. It was below average. Fish and chips - chips dry as though reheated, the accompanying veg were so hard they were barely cooked & inedible, in fact the broccoli and carrot probably wasn't cooked, truth be known. Probably dipped quickly into a pan of hot water. Another 2 of us ordered Greek Moussaka. We were served Veg Lasagne, swimming in a heap of tomato passata. It wasn't even a proper tomatoe sauce. The reviewers who rate their meals as 5/5 must either be easily pleased with below average food or, perhaps the chefs have changed since those patrons reviewed the food. We would never attend the Rosebud Hotel again. In fact 1 Star rating is being too generous.

Was there at lunchtime today meals looked great when they came out until I went to remove the onion and found a dead blowfly in my salad took the meal back to show them the response I had was what would you like me to do I explained I couldn’t eat my meal they then put my steak on another plate with no fresh chips and gave the plate back to me when you are paying $40.00 for a meal you would expect more care considering they weren’t that busy the chef didn’t look up or care when the young girl showed him my plate . Not happy and definitely won’t be going back.

Had lunch in the restaurant. ordered st counter and food was bought to the table. Food was Amazing. We had the soup, lambshanks and the, burger. very clean and friendly . Didn't use the bathroom as it was very busy. There was disabled access and staff were accommodating and helpful with our guests and their needs . Drinks in the front bar were quite expensive but restaurant side was very affordable. . lots of street parking

This could be a record for the fastest service ever. Ordered our meal. Went and got drinks and not long after I got back to our seats the food arrived. We got steak and lamb shank. The steak was cooked perfectly, impressive. But the mushrooms sauce on the steak only had 3 mushroom in the sauce. Went back the next day we got another steak with the mushrooms sauce and this time the sauce only had 2 mushrooms.

Winter is a great tome to dine at this iconic art deco “local” Cosy and Welcoming and an extensive menu at reasonable prices. We selected the beef and Guinness pie - that came with a full crust - not just the token top crust!! And the grilled barramundi was a winner - so several reasons why its a local spot for us!

Came here to spend some money and have fun on the pokies and were turned away at the door for no reason, we supplied the security with everything required but were turned away without explanation. Would leave 0 stars if possible as we saw two other gentlemen allowed in after we left. Very disappointed overall

Food awful Staff friendly Went twice in 2 weeks Lamb shanks presented well and meat fell off the bone but tasted like 2 tooth meat Second go Fish and chips with salad cannot go wrong Right grilled fish was waterery as if cooked from frozen Be awhile before I go back or recommend

We were pleasantly surprised with our dinner here tonight. The dining room has a lovely ambience and there was a roaring open fire. We had the Parma and the Pie and both were yum! The chips were perfect and staff were efficient and friendly too a great pub meal option!

Disgusting food. My Calamari, was not cooked properly. And, the Waitress, had a cheek to argue with me, thats how olit should be. Ur kidding me. The Hotel needs a good face-lift. I was visiting from another State. And, was really disgusted, with Food, Service, and the Hotel.

Great little local pub. Great service and food. I took my 2 young son's 6 & 8 for their first pub dinner. They loved the experience, and we were made to feel welcome, as a family. I love this pub, the open fire on a cold night was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

If you like pokies and sport on big screens in the dining area then this place is for you. Scotch fillet was pretty good. Still doing the QR code thing or order and pay at the counter before your meal arrives. Kids liked their meals. Pub food.

My husband and I with a friend of ours we all enjoyed our meals at lunch time. It is a very relaxing place we were there a couple of hours. The staff were fantastic and the service was great 10/10. We all said we will be back.

The service was nice but the food is TERRIBLE don’t go there ever if you want good food i’d definitely recommended the royal hotel in Mornington but this hotel was honestly a disgrace i lost my appetite looking at the food.

We requested a table away from most people, as we had 2 little kids, which was provided. Both children loved their meals (one is a very fussy eater), & our meals were superb. A great vibe here too.

Very enjoyable dinner. I had a really nice vegan curry and rice. Burgers looked good . Drinks were great, especially since they have Wednesday nights free drink with a meal offer at the moment

Spent a lovely night with our 80 year old cousin for her birthday. She was made to feel so special by staff and patrons. Great food and was entertained by the Trivia Night.

Food was really good. Vego. Options were varied and lovely. Recommend the nachos, lamb shanks and the bangers and mash. Parking just outside but it does fill up.

Bar prices way too much, good food reasonably priced. Sports bar very noisy, couldn't hear yourself talk, too many noisy individuals and nothing done about it.

Only place i will take friends for lunch & only place i'll have grilled fish. Polite & good service. Wine a bit expensive but top hotel..Jenny Sparks

Great meals tonight. Very friendly service. Excellent understanding of coeliac / gluten free requirements. Loved being by one of the open fires.

Great place, however the wine by the glass price was the only reason it wasn't 5 stars. $16 per glass was just too much for mine..
