Pretty quintessential cool bar to show case Melbourne laneway. Pretty good selection of drinks, lots of space for group big and small. If you not sure what to get, the bartender will give you a recommendation. I can confirm their recommendation is excellent. They have some good local craft beers as well. Check it out if you are into beer. It’s a container bar so you have both downstairs, upstairs, outdoor seating options and some standing tables as well. Maybe it’s just me but I can smell people smoking and it really dampen the atmosphere for me. Other people prob don’t mind or used it it but not me. a bit more separation would be nice.

I came here on a Monday night at around 6pm. It was quiet but still many people sitting having post-work drinks. I did drink some great cocktails here. However I have to say that I wasn’t very impressed by one of the bar tenders. I think she was actually the manager but came across as quite rude and not wanting to interact with customers. One of the servers asked her to make us 2 cocktails because he was new and hadn’t been trained I think, and she seemed to be really annoyed that she had to make these drinks. Anyway, great place for drinks, just don’t expect too much from the servers I guess.

Went here on a night out in the city and the atmosphere was really lovely. They have live music going and the drink selections were really good as well. We didn't end up paying much for our drinks as the person that was performing the music ended up giving us their drink cards which was really nice of them. The bar staff seemed really friendly and were happy to have a chat and a laugh. Would highly recommend anyone go here if you're looking for a nice little Beer garden with some music going.

First time I went there. I genuinely believe that it's a hidden gem. The locations perfect, it's a very spacious Bar. They have plenty of house made cocktails and beer. DJ and a large dance floor is located in the bottom floor along side the bar. There are bathrooms and a staircase that leads to the upper section that provides a great view of the bottom area including the dance floor. It has a large seating area below and at the top. Music's great and the vibe is on point. Great for all ages. Highly recommended

We discovered this ultra-cool laneway bar by chance. We were delighted by the unexpected garden oasis that awaited us. We relaxed for ages surrounded by luscious staghorns and other beautiful greenery, admiring the relaxed environment and enjoying the funky tunes. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Melbourne, hopefully at night, to catch a live DJ set. Whitehart is definitely a true hidden gem in the Melbourne city landscape. Just gorgeous!!

Amazing bar, such the quintessential essence of Melbourne and laneway culture. Great service remarkable bar staff. The managers name was max and he was so helpful. Kind gave us what we wanted. Gave me advice tips on what to drink and really shared his knowledge of Melbourne and where to go. Recommend this bar any day of the week definitely going back

this is such an amazing place, i’m here with friend on Saturday night, not surprisingly, they are busy, everyone just out for drink and having a good night. it have my friend surprise me to order me cocktails, the result came out pretty good, it’s a pineapple sort of cocktail. and she have the salty type, which tasted pretty good, i have never try anything like that before. also, they have so many plants around, love that!!

Pretty nice surprise, this beer garden has a very cool atmosphere, cocktails are phenomenal and bartenders really know what they are doing! Loud music but enjoyable if you like to show some dancing moves, feeling comfortable since the first step, looking at various generations loving the drinks and this little gem hiding in a dark laneway.

As with a lot of good Melbourne bars, it's tucked privately away down a side street. It's a two-story bar with good cocktails and selection of beers. The place has a relaxed and trendy atmosphere; even on a Monday night this place attracted people in their 20s and 30s. It's a great date place or come on your own to enjoy the open air and ambience after work.

A bar that is open day and night. Open to the elements so dress appropriately. The staff are good. The bar has lots of space. Toilets are unisex so could get messy late at night. This bar is known for the beers but they do cocktails as well. Close to the shopping mall.

Great vibes at this bar, bartenders definitely know their drinks with a fun range of house cocktails. DJ brings the beats with people dancing even on weeknights. Easily get pizza delivered from next door until 9:30pm.

Great hidden bar in Melbourne CBD, very cool. We went to the I ❤️ agave festival here and it was great! I love the containers and rustic construction. It’s indoors and outdoors all at the same time. Bamboo straws suck, but small thing. Def go back!

Amazing bar in the heart of Melbourne, hidden down a side street. Really spacious and nicely decorated with shipping containers and lots of plants. Plenty of seating options and they made a delicious negroni.

Cool laneway bar. Super trendy. Quite loud music when it gets lively. Good beer and other drinks selection. Quite pricey. Recommend it if you want to show someone a very ‘Melbourne’ place!

They say service with a smile , but if the staff cracked a smile here a blind man would be happy to see it...Good tunes though drink tastes like petroleum.
